I just wanted to start a thread where fans can share their favourite things about George. Share video links, lyrics, rare footage. Tell us why you liked him. Have you met him? Share your memories. Anything really.

Please, no speculation about how he died here.

I bloody worshipped him from being about 12 years old. I remember liking Wham! music and hearing it at a youth club I went to, and then one day I saw his picture in my dad's Daily Star and it was LOVE! It was 1984.

I've just shared this clip on another thread, I think it's one of the sexiest performances I ever saw him do, I love the dance moves in this.

Its not exactly closed though i was there myself last Sunday. Just doesnt have funerals on a Sunday. If anything Sunday is a busier day for visitors.

LoveMySituation · 16/03/2017 21:43

Well, maybe it'll be at night after hours then. We'll probably only know it's been done when he starts appearing on the list of who's buried there. Maybe then it'll seem real

Fresta · 16/03/2017 22:11

Who was the little boy in the bad boys video then ?

Just seen there's a doc about him on C5 next Thursday at 9. Look forward to that.

LoveMySituation · 17/03/2017 11:37

Desmond Askew. He was in a Cadbury ad then too apparently. Henry the spider?!

EachandEveryone · 17/03/2017 18:28

I did the offical tour of the cemetery today as its the only way you can get in unless you have relatives there. Really interesting tour it was i love Victorian history. I did see his mums grave but the guide was very good at taking us another direction. It seems so final i just wished theyd hurry up and do it. I dont know how those old volunteers will cope with it all and the traffic is appalling round there.

There were photographers at the cementry and outside his house.

Ill be glad to go back to work tomorrow. I think it will be done on a week day and hopefukky if they dont go from his house it may be kept quiet. I wonder where the service will be? It wont be in the place. Bloody hell its going to be difficult isnt it?

LoveMySituation · 17/03/2017 18:54

Sounds interesting Each. Am not near or I'd think about going. Was his mums grave being guarded like the papers are saying? I imagine the admission price will go up soon! I wish it would just be done and over with too. Then the media will move on to someone else.

LoveMySituation · 17/03/2017 18:59

And things can go back to normal. Well normal.ish. I was watching TOTP83 yesterday when Wham were on, thinking 'I still can't believe he's dead'Sad

EachandEveryone · 17/03/2017 19:15

The thing is that it's a tour you pay for you can't just wander off and start looking at graves. They know who goes in and out. No it wasn't guarded it was surrounded by daffodils. Two Greek women walked passed us and said hello to our guide and even then I thought they must be the mothers relatives I didn't know that was the direction they were coming from but it made me look and that's when I saw her resting place.

I can't believe it. I still haven't been able to watch anything g with him on. I wonder if the fact that the documentary is on Thursday is relevant. Christ do we know why it's taken so long really?

LoveMySituation · 17/03/2017 19:20

Do we actually know it hasn't already happened? Apart from the question of where the body would be if it had, i just don't get the feeling they'd tell us immediately.

EachandEveryone · 17/03/2017 19:33

I hope it has happened already do t know how they'd bury him though unless there's a back entrance

LoveMySituation · 17/03/2017 20:08

3am?! But yeah, maybe the family are so fed up of the media circus, they will just let it fade away, with no announcements to fan the flames

EachandEveryone · 17/03/2017 21:38

Good luck to them doing that. I cant go back to check as its all prebooked under your email they would know if the same person keeps taking the tour! I did wonder whether they wound cancel it on that dat but then thst would be letting the cat out of the bag.

I was listening to Fast Love through my headphones in tescos. I just want go out and dance to his music.

LoveMySituation · 19/03/2017 19:25

It seems the funeral will be soon. In a small chapel close to the cemetery apparently. Wonder if Fadi will be there?

Fresta · 23/03/2017 18:35

Documentary tonight on Channel 5 'The Last Days of George Michael'. It claims to have accounts of his final days from 'the people that knew him best'. I doubt it, his family have said they have nothing to do with it and Andrew Ridgely has spoken out against it on Twitter. Typical Channel 5 tabloid tv if you ask me. Disrespectful I feel considering his family have still not said their final farewell at his funeral yet. I actually feel a bit sick thinking about it.

CeeBeeBee · 23/03/2017 20:07

You really can't blame them for wanting to keep the funeral a secret even from fans. He had enough of scrutiny when he was alive and should really be left in peace.

Destinysdaughter · 23/03/2017 21:05

Oh bloody hell, crying already watching this...Sad

Destinysdaughter · 23/03/2017 21:23

God the journalists on this program are utter scum!

Hewillalwaysbemyman · 23/03/2017 21:41

I won't watch it, how do they know what his last days were like? It will just be the same people who will say anything to get on these types of programmes, talking crap about things they know nothing about. I suppose his so called cousin who hadn't spoken to him for years will also be on as well.

PolaDeVeboise · 23/03/2017 21:41

I loved him, so can't bring myself to watch the doc, I know it all be disrespectful bollocks. However, I am recording it. The very definition of torn.

areyoubeingserviced · 23/03/2017 21:48

Th video 'Father Figure' .George Michael was seriously sexy in the video.

Hewillalwaysbemyman · 23/03/2017 21:52

I know what you mean, you are probably like me and have always watched anything he has been on, but I think it's better to watch his videos or interviews rather than that programme.

EachandEveryone · 23/03/2017 22:25

I have t watched anything since he died cant face te Brits. I did watch this though. The journalists were awful who is that Carole Malone? I lijed the guy from The Guardian but i always enjoyed his interviews with George. It was good seeing the footage of the nurses gig brought back some lovely memories.

Destinysdaughter · 23/03/2017 23:03

Yes Carol Malone was vile but even she said how she changed her opinion on him based on all the anonymous philanthropic work he did. It's not the documentary he deserved and I hope someone will do something better in the future.

EachandEveryone · 23/03/2017 23:18

The best one was the south bank show
