Music that makes you cry when you just think about it, let alone listen to it?

Mine is the theme tune to the 70s tv series Black Beauty. The closing credits with the black horse galloping through the wheat field.

Sheesh, I am getting all silly just typing that.

I would definitely cry if I were to see/hear it.

Yy black beauty theme would make me cry too. In fact only recently I played it to my dds explaining I really used to love this program, they stared at me like I was mad and went back to I Carly!

I also well up when I hear Yellow - reminds me of dd1 who was quite poorly as a newborn and very jaundiced.

Theme to midnight cowboy is another one.

No song has ever made me cry but I was upset when my wonderful aunt had Elvis love me tender played at her funeral.

She died of breast cancer and knowing about her personal life and failed relationships, the song resonated with me.

Now when I hear it, I think of her and it is very bittersweet.

Princessdeb · 08/01/2014 22:07

Two little boys (rather unfortunate now), the bit where he says "Did you think I would leave you dying when there's room on my horse for two?" makes me cry every time.
I don't want to miss a thing by Aerosmith.

For me, it's the song "Do you want to build a snowman?" from the new Disney movie Frozen.

Brings a tear to my eye every time i think of it.

Oh and wind beneath my wings!

saffronwblue · 08/01/2014 22:14

Not so much about the pig and the farmer but I think it is such an expression of total love.

LucyBabs · 08/01/2014 22:14

Barbers adagio for strings

We had this at my Mam's funeral but long before she passed away I would get a lump in my throat if ever I heard it.

Its a great piece of music though

OutOfCheeseError · 08/01/2014 22:15

I Vow To Thee My Country gets me too. That theme from 'Jupiter' was playing at the crematorium as my grandad's coffin was brought in, and the last two lines just kept running through my head "and soul by soul and silently her shining bounds increase, and her ways are ways of gentleness and all her paths are peace".

I'm bloody crying now!

kerala · 08/01/2014 22:16

How long will I love you Ellie goulding recent but gets me every time
