Yet another thread for neurodivergent mumsnetters.

Lots of links in old threads.

Anyone is welcome, it's not just about autism.

PigPigTrotters · 09/11/2016 12:41

For fucking fuck's sake Angry
No heating until next Wednesday when someone can sort out the boiler.
Now the dryer's packed up, will have to wait until that can be fixed.
Two strangers in my house Sad
I got pork out of the freezer for tonight, the house is so fucking cold it's not defrosting Sad

Dh is going to bring a heater back from work (I hope!).

Half hoping Dh will also bring home a Chinese and wine, so might embrace the non defrosting for a while m

As for washing, no way to get anything dry with no heating or dryer, so we're going to embrace smellyness for the next few days! Will have to persuade ds2 not to go rolling in pig poo! (Although it's all covered with snow at the moment).

I've always thought I'd be pretty good in an apocalyptic situation. I can cope without a dryer so I'm rethinking that.

Yay Polter, well done!

I'm feeling so much referred stress from this election stuff. Argh. It doesn't even really affect me but it's affecting my stress levels.

DeleteOrDecay · 09/11/2016 13:54

Bertie I'm feeling stressed too. I've found this year especially stressful in terms of politics and current affairs. Brexit, Ched Evans Fiasco, now this. It's very depressing and I feel very personally affected, even if those things have no direct affect on me.

LauraMipsum · 09/11/2016 14:10

Yes, thanks Polter

Still feeling a bit mentally bruised but it will pass.

PigPigTrotters · 09/11/2016 15:25

I've just read this blog post by the psychologist who diagnosed ds2, and it's really good, but I'm fed up of everything to do with masking having a heavy emphasis on girls. I know that girls tend to mask more, but some boys mask just as well, and not talking about that too is doing children like ds2 a massive disservice.

Sorry, rant over Blush

Went to a mock christening at school, was very loud and stressy.

I have so much catching up to do... hello all Smile

My GP just called me to say he's found me an assessment service (or whatever you call it!), and just now my therapist said when she first met me she thought I might be on the spectrum. I feel weird hearing someone else actually noticed! Almost proud, or something.

Oh god - Trump. And this morning DS came into bed with me and said "Where's your mum - is she dead?"
I wasn't expecting to be explaining that at 6am. I showed him some photos of her and said she would've been granny and I want him to know about her, but he always thinks it's me in the photos
