Many thanks for taking part in the Appletiser product test - please find below the questions that Appletiser would like you to answer. Please add your feedback once you've been able to try the drinks.

There are a number of questions as Appletiser are so keen to know what you think - please feel free to use these either as a prompt - telling us your overall views using these as a guide, or to answer each question individually.

If you have any other comments please add them below - they genuinely would like to know how they could improve on both the product and how it is promoted to both women such as yourself and to families.

Everyone who adds feedback to this thread will be entered into a prize draw where one lucky winner will win a £250 voucher for the store of their choice.

Thanks and good luck

Q1 If you haven't tried Appletiser before, or for a long time, what are the reasons?

I'd been drinking Appletiser for a while, but hadn't tried the other flavours because I knew I liked the appletiser and didn't want to spend the money on something I wasn't sure about.

Q2 What was the best thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which was your favourite flavour?

They're a nice soft drink alternative when you don't want caffeine!
The plain appletiser is still my favourite.

Q3 What was the worst thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which flavour(s) weren?t you so keen on?

The cost, particularly in a pub environment.
I didn't particularly enjoy the mango and mandarin or the pomegranete and raspberry.

Q4 On what occasions would you typically drink a product from the Appletiser range?

In a pub, at a BBQ - as an alternative to alcohol when pregnant

Q5 What foods do you think the different Appletiser flavours would be good with?

I find them all a bit sweet to want to have alongside a meal - I prefer them alone.

Q6 Did anyone else in your family, your children, or any of your friends try it? What did they think?

My 2 year old son loves appletiser - he seemed to like all of the flavours.

Q7 How does the Appletiser range compare to other similar drinks? Is there a brand you prefer? If so why?

I'd generally go for appletiser.

Q8 What do you think Appletiser the company do to improve the product, packaging or marketing?

Make the cans or some alternative single serve packaging better value.

Q9 If you were in charge of selling Appletiser how would you try to encourage more mums, or mums to be, to buy Appletiser?

advertise it more for/in pubs - its a great alcohol alternative.

Q10 Lastly, do you think you would recommend the Appletiser range to your friends?

Yes

Pear

All foods, especially in the summer, with salads and bbq's.

Its more healthy.

Play on the health side

allstarsprincess · 25/06/2010 08:44

Here are my comments.

Q1 If you haven't tried Appletiser before, or for a long time, what are the reasons?
It is difficult to source where I live. None of the local shops have it and when I asked at my local Waitrose, I was told 'they don't make that anymore'

Q2 What was the best thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which was your favourite flavour?
I liked the memories it bought back to me. The bottle is an iconic shape. I prefered the original Appletiser flavour. The others were far too sweet.

Q3 What was the worst thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which flavour(s) weren?t you so keen on?

  1. All of the flavours were incredibly sweet.
  2. My 2 year old DD would not drink them! 3. The bottle, despite being an iconic shape was awkward in the fridge. I could only store them in the door as they were too tall to stand up elsewhere and they leaked when on the side.
  3. The labels were not consistent. I preferred the version where it stated 28% of sugars etc. This was clearer and I did not feel that I was being misled about the sugars.
  4. The screw top caps were useless. I had one bottle half leak on arrival and then as soon as you opened them they did very little to keep the drink inside fresh. I HATE waste and to have to pour a 1/4 of a bottle away as it had begun to taste like medicine rather than a refreshing drink was frustrating.
  5. I have yet to find somewhere local that sells any of the Appletiser range. With regards to cost I imagine it would not be the price that stopped me from purchasing rather it would be the product.

Q4 On what occasions would you typically drink a product from the Appletiser range?

In the summer at a BBQ. I do not consider it a treat drink. For me it is far too sweet and the flavours are not distinct enough to warrant a further purchase. They sound lovely but in reality they taste very similar. I would rather buy a bottle of lovely squash and perrier to create a refreshing drink that would not spoil as quickly.

Q5 What foods do you think the different Appletiser flavours would be good with?

They were all sweet so I would say a spicy or hot dish.

Q6 Did anyone else in your family, your children, or any of your friends try it? What did they think?

My DD did not like them. My DH said they were 'OK' I prefered to water them down further with some additional perrier and then gave them to DD and her friends. They enjoyed the pomegranate one once this was done.

Q7 How does the Appletiser range compare to other similar drinks? Is there a brand you prefer? If so why?

I struggle to think of a comparison. However, we live in the UK which is (once was) renowned for its apple and pear industry. The apple and pear flavours in this range just seem false. The flavour is not really apple rather a poor caricature of apple.

Q8 What do you think Appletiser the company do to improve the product, packaging or marketing?

  1. Change the bottle size so it fits better in the fridge.
  2. Improve the lid so as it does not leak and ensures the drink remains fresh.
  3. Use a consistent design on the label rather than one for the Appletiser and another for the Fruitiser.
  4. Improve the taste. Adding sugar, even in a natural fructose form does not improve flavour.
  5. The colours of the drinks were a little too bright for my preference. I do not want to look like I am drinking an alcopop, I want to look grown up.
  6. Perhaps develop some syrups which mums can dilute to their personal preference at home? Either with sparkling water or water.
  7. The bottles when cool became slippery and harder to pour due to the external condensation. Not sure how you fix this.
  8. I did not like the crown on the P of peartiser. Not sure why but made me feel as though you were telling me a lie.
  9. The bottle design were too distinct, either they are a family of drinks or not. The pomegranate one looked like a rip off version of your bottle.

Q9 If you were in charge of selling Appletiser how would you try to encourage more mums, or mums to be, to buy Appletiser?

I wouldn't. I think that any drink of a 250ml serving with 23-28% of daily sugars in , irrespective of whether naturally occuring or not, is irresponsible. I would encourage mums to look at other options. When pregnant you certainly should not be drinking 75%-81% of your daily sugar allowance! Perhaps you should change the formula and then attract mums to be?

At least if I were to consume these naturally occurring sugars in their natural form I would be gaining other benefits from the fruits such as fibre, vitamins etc. Taking my sugars in a drink format is not going to be good for me or my unborn child.

Q10 Lastly, do you think you would recommend the Appletiser range to your friends?

Probably not. I found the drinks too sweet and the design poor. The only element I liked about the product was the glass recyclable bottles. It is nice to see a company that has not switched to plastic.

Merrylegs · 25/06/2010 11:17

At last - after the third try at delivery HDN conceded that no appletiser thieves were lurking and left the parcel.... Here are our thoughts! (family of 5, 2 teens and a 9 year old):

I don't buy Appltieser as I always think of it as a bit old fashioned and fizzy apples don't really appeal - if you are going to fizz apples you may as well drink cider.

Our favourite flavour was surprisingly the Pear. Surprising as I don't actually like pears but this was light and zingy. Kids liked it too.

The bottles are way too small and heavy - not worth dragging home from the supermarket just to get three glasses out of (2 X250ml servings the bottle states).
Although DS tells me they do cans at his school, which makes more sense for a picnic, say, or on the table at a barbeque.

Also my kids play a lot of sport and sometimes need a quick sugar fix for energy. Appletiser in a sports bottle like Lucozade would be a big hit I think.

Loved the idea of the Mandarin/Mango flavour and it was quite pleasant but really could not have guessed what it was if I hadn't been told. The Pomegranate/ Raspberry could have had more Pomegranate. It was rather sweet.

Really didn't like the original Apple - it tasted of fizzy apples on the turn, although the kids liked it - probably because it was so sweet.

Would like to see more citrus-y flavours in the range. Something really light and tangy - something with lime for eg.

For an alternative to wine at a 'do' I would generally choose an elderflower fizz, or old fashioned/pink lemonade. Something with a bit of a kick.

I would choose Appletiser over Schloer as I think that the bottles look nicer and the product looks fresher, but again, they are so tiny I just couldn't see myself lugging a load home.

How could you market it to mums? Oh god, don't sell us any more stuff! Don't bang on about your 5 a day or say it's an alternative to fruit - "so you'll be getting one of your 5-a-day without a core or peel in sight!". Please. It's a drink with bubbles. I am not going to give my kid a glass and think I've done my healthy eating job.

Just say it tastes good. Because actually (Apart from the apple!) it does.

Finally - Appletiser makes me think of Tizer the Surprizer (am v. old) which was a v. unhealthy thick orangey fizz wasn't it?

Katisha · 25/06/2010 11:34

I agree that the "tiser" part reminds people my sort of age of Tizer the fizzy pop. Not necessarily the association you want - I think Appletise sounds classier. Probably too late to do anytihng about that though.

And yes - people are right to say that it's not really something that can be promoted to pregnant women as a healthy drink. How many more things can be plugged as "part of your 5 a day"? I think you would be better off going for the celebratory fizz/alternative to alcohol when in company sort of line.

The product really does not have the air of an everyday drink about it. Packaging, size, expense all mitigate against that. Go for the special occasion/non-wicked treat vibe.

q1: Never seemed to come across it at the supermarket, not in the fizzy juice aisle

q2: best thing is it's healthiness, preferred the apple/peartiser

q3: it is really quite expensive and 1 bottle didn't really go very far if you drink it in the same quantity as normal fizzy

q4: any occasion I was catering for non-drinkers

q5: not with food, too sweet

q6: husband didn't mind it, raised no comment when served to others. 4 year old doesn't drink fizzy.

q7: guess it compares to the j2o, shloer types, only bought them when pregnant as quite dear. prefer shloer

q8: what marketing?? never seen any!

q9: push the healthy fizzy with no aspartame thing

q10: no, is expensive and you drink too much because it's fizzy, I'd never drink that much of normal fruit juice.

NorbertDentressangle · 25/06/2010 16:24

Q1 If you haven't tried Appletiser before, or for a long time, what are the reasons?

We don't tend to drink fizzy drinks in our household so have never bought it for home consumption. I may have had it in a pub (when not drinking due to driving) and wanting to try something different

Q2 What was the best thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which was your favourite flavour?

They were all very refreshing when served cold. I liked the fact that they're not filled with crap. The pear one tasted like perry so went down well.

Q3 What was the worst thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which flavour(s) weren?t you so keen on?

The bottles are a little on the small side -it doesn't go far if you're sharing it out with the family to accompany a meal for example

Q4 On what occasions would you typically drink a product from the Appletiser range?

Probably in the summer, chilled at a BarBQ/family meal type situation. Not everyday

Q5 What foods do you think the different Appletiser flavours would be good with?

Light summery type meals. Picnics

Q6 Did anyone else in your family, your children, or any of your friends try it? What did they think?

Yes DP and the children tried them. Everyone liked all flavours. (Worryingly though, 5yo and 10yo thought that the apple and pear ones "taste like cider" )

Q7 How does the Appletiser range compare to other similar drinks? Is there a brand you prefer? If so why?

As sparkling fruit drinks are not something I generally buy I'm only aware of Shloer. Appletiser seems more refreshing

Q8 What do you think Appletiser the company do to improve the product, packaging or marketing?

I wasn't aware of the different flavours, only the apple one so I would suggest better marketing. Bottles that don't leak (one of mine had leaked before delivery) as I would be really hacked off if a bottle leaked over my weekly shop/in the boot of the car.

Q9 If you were in charge of selling Appletiser how would you try to encourage more mums, or mums to be, to buy Appletiser?

Market it where Mums will see it, offer discount vouchers in relevant magazines/websites, concentrate on the no added sugar/chemicals aspect, price it competitively.

Q10 Lastly, do you think you would recommend the Appletiser range to your friends?

Yes, particularly as a refreshing drink to have ata summer party/night out if you're not drinking

Octaviapink · 25/06/2010 19:14

Q1 If you haven't tried Appletiser before, or for a long time, what are the reasons?

I just don't come across it that often - I don't buy soft drinks in the supermarket and didn't tend to encounter it in pubs.

Q2 What was the best thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which was your favourite flavour?

The bottles were lovely - a very pleasing shape - and the nutritional information was good. I loved the fruitiser flavours - the pomegranate and raspberry was the best.

Q3 What was the worst thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which flavour(s) weren?t you so keen on?

I didn't like the Appletiser itself much, ironically, though it was nicer than the Peartiser. There was a slightly odd aftertaste.

Q4 On what occasions would you typically drink a product from the Appletiser range?

Out with friends at the pub or a meal.

Q5 What foods do you think the different Appletiser flavours would be good with?

I think they'd all be good with desserts, and I'd have thought Appletiser would be good with anything pork-based.

Q6 Did anyone else in your family, your children, or any of your friends try it? What did they think?

My husband tried them all and is a big fan! He loved them all.

Q7 How does the Appletiser range compare to other similar drinks? Is there a brand you prefer? If so why?

Way better than J2O or other fruit drinks that I've tried. About the same level as the Fentimans range.

Q8 What do you think Appletiser the company do to improve the product, packaging or marketing?

I really liked all of it!

Q9 If you were in charge of selling Appletiser how would you try to encourage more mums, or mums to be, to buy Appletiser?

I think emphasising that it's 100% fruit juice and counts as one of your five a day would be good - I actually had no idea it was pure fruit juice, I assumed it was a fruit 'drink' like Sunny Delight or something.

Q10 Lastly, do you think you would recommend the Appletiser range to your friends?
Absolutely! In fact I've raved about it since the test!

undertheduvet · 25/06/2010 19:59

Q1 If you haven't tried Appletiser before, or for a long time, what are the reasons?
Forgotten about it, as not prominently promoted in pubs/restaurants

Q2 What was the best thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which was your favourite flavour?
Made with real fruit, one of your five a day, not too sweet, best flavour was rasberry and pomegranate

Q3 What was the worst thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which flavour(s) weren?t you so keen on?
Not as keen on pear one

Q4 On what occasions would you typically drink a product from the Appletiser range?
When wanting a soft drink rather than alcoholic one

Q5 What foods do you think the different Appletiser flavours would be good with?
all foods, especially good in summer as quite refreshing

Q6 Did anyone else in your family, your children, or any of your friends try it? What did they think?
Husband tried it thought was quite nice

Q7 How does the Appletiser range compare to other similar drinks? Is there a brand you prefer? If so why?
Nicer than the britvic 55 brand, less sweet

Q8 What do you think Appletiser the company do to improve the product, packaging or marketing?
More prominant marketing in supermarkets ans pubs/restaurants as these seem to be dominated by j2o at the moment

Q9 If you were in charge of selling Appletiser how would you try to encourage more mums, or mums to be, to buy Appletiser?
Highlight the one of your five a day more

Q10 Lastly, do you think you would recommend the Appletiser range to your friends?
Yes

Pinner35 · 25/06/2010 21:27

My bottles have never arrived. Shame, I was looking forward to trying them out.

tunise · 25/06/2010 21:43

Q1- thought it was too expensive for what it was although loved the original as a teenager.
Q2- Liked the taste of the apple and pear. Bottle is now quite an iconic shape.
Q3- Wasn't so keen on the other 2 flavours, didn't seem to keep fizzy for long once a bottle was open, next day it seemed quite flat.
Q4- When pregnant, out for a meal if driving, maybe a picnic?
Q5- I find it really hard to pair up food and drink so i would be happy to drink it with most meals.
Q6- Children liked the Apple only.
Q7- Isn't really a type of drink that i buy on a regular basis. Tend to buy pure juice and squash normally.
Q8- Could the bottles be made lighter, or it come in cans? Not keen on having extra glass to recycle. Seems expensive as a drink for the whole family (i have 3 dc) to drink and a bottle doesn't go far, so maybe larger quantity? I think i'd most likely buy it again as a treat for me!
Q9- Promote it as being a healthy option. Make it into smaller size multipacks not made from glass.
Q10- yes, i would.

louii · 25/06/2010 23:48

Q1 - I dont buy fizzy drinks
Q2 - I liked the apple one the best and like the fact there is no artificial crap in the drinks, nice bottles, easy to recycle. Not too fizzy either.
Q3 - Bottles are quite small
Q4 - Nice instead of alcohol, good with ice on a hot day, any occasion is fine
Q5 - I would drink with any food.
Q6 - My friends liked the pear one and would prob buy in future, My partner enjoyed trying all the drinks, liked apple the best
Q7 - I would occasionally drink Schloer, but would definately buy appletiser in future instead.
Q8 - needs marketed a lot more, i dont remember seeing an ad in years.
Q9 - Promote the fact there is no artificial rubbish, healthy fizzy drink etc
Q10 - Absolutely and will d=definately be buying it myself in future, in fact have already used my vouchers, yum

AnnMumsnet · 26/06/2010 08:46

pinner35 - I'll email the distribution folks & let them know and try and find out what happened. Sorry Ann

Q1 If you haven't tried Appletiser before, or for a long time, what are the reasons?

Not tried for a long time, it used to be my driving drunks drink of choice, but became expensive.

Q2 What was the best thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which was your favourite flavour?

I loved all flavours apart from pear.

Q3 What was the worst thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which flavour(s) weren?t you so keen on?

Wasn't keen on the pear, too sweet for my taste.

Q4 On what occasions would you typically drink a product from the Appletiser range?

Hot summers day.

Q5 What foods do you think the different Appletiser flavours would be good with?

I found they went with most foods well really.

Q6 Did anyone else in your family, your children, or any of your friends try it? What did they think?

My husband tasted them all with me, his favourite was apple, least favourite pear, he also thought is was too sweet.

Q7 How does the Appletiser range compare to other similar drinks? Is there a brand you prefer? If so why?

I prefer appletiser as I find it the most refreshing non alcoholic drink, I do however find it quite expensive, so I haven't bought it in a while.

Q8 What do you think Appletiser the company do to improve the product, packaging or marketing?

Use plastic bottles, to reduce cost to consumer.

Q9 If you were in charge of selling Appletiser how would you try to encourage more mums, or mums to be, to buy Appletiser?

Appletiser has been around for a long time, and should sell itself, a nice freebie bottle with a magazine or a voucher for a free bottle in a pack for mums to be, once tasted would be hard to resist.

Q10 Lastly, do you think you would recommend the Appletiser range to your friends?

Yes I will be doingas I had forgotten how refreshing it actually was till I had some.

LadyBuzz · 26/06/2010 19:11

Q1 If you haven't tried Appletiser before, or for a long time, what are the reasons?

It has just not crossed my mind, I tend to go for the cheaper alternatives.

Q2 What was the best thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which was your favourite flavour?

The ingredients, I didn't realise it was as pure.
My favourite flavour was the Raspberry and Pomegranate.

Q3 What was the worst thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which flavour(s) weren?t you so keen on?

The glass bottle, my least favourite was the Mandarin, Mango and apple

Q4 On what occasions would you typically drink a product from the Appletiser range?

Special occasions ie birthdays, christmas and parties/barbeques. And anytime at present as an alternative to alcohol.

Q5 What foods do you think the different Appletiser flavours would be good with?

Most savoury foods, particularly BBQ foods.

Q6 Did anyone else in your family, your children, or any of your friends try it? What did they think?
Yes, My youngest liked them all, my eldest liked them all except the apple. My SIL thought the mango tasted like medicine.

Q7 How does the Appletiser range compare to other similar drinks? Is there a brand you prefer? If so why?

Having tried it aagain I would say it is up there at the top of the smilar drinks available, I have favoured Schloer in the past as there was a wider range of flavours. But I may have been swayed.

Q8 What do you think Appletiser the company do to improve the product, packaging or marketing?
Make the bottles a bit more leak proof and consider doing a plastic bottle alongside the glass one. I don't see alot of advertising for appletiser, and it never leaps out at me at the supermarket - in fact in my last shop I couldn't see it anywhere.

Q9 If you were in charge of selling Appletiser how would you try to encourage more mums, or mums to be, to buy Appletiser?

Advertise more widely, make it known that it is a natural alternative, team up with bounty perhaps. More offers in supermarkets etc.

Q10 Lastly, do you think you would recommend the Appletiser range to your friends?

Yes definately!

heverhoney1 · 26/06/2010 23:42

Q1 If you haven't tried Appletiser before, or for a long time, what are the reasons? It is just not something that would grab my attention. I liked the look of some of the other fruit ones but not enough to make me purchase a big bottle.

Q2 What was the best thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which was your favourite flavour?I really liked the raspberry one. It had a sharper flavour which is more to my tase - and clearly to my DH's taste too as he downed most of the bottle leaving me only a taste as he knew I had to write this.

Q3 What was the worst thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which flavour(s) weren?t you so keen on?
The bottles - too small by far!, too heavy (I live in a flat anh hulking the bottles too it fo a few swigs is just not worth the effort for its size) and they appear to have leaky tendancies! I never got to try the mango one as it leaked en-route

Q4 On what occasions would you typically drink a product from the Appletiser range? Any really. I have to say I did find myself drinking appletizer in a pub while watching an England match recently as I had to drive that night.

Q5 What foods do you think the different Appletiser flavours would be good with? any really. Appletizer would probably suit the more gentle flavours - anything you would put a white wine with really.

Q6 Did anyone else in your family, your children, or any of your friends try it? What did they think? As I said My DH drank most. He found the Pear too sweet though. His favourite was the Raspberry

Q7 How does the Appletiser range compare to other similar drinks? Is there a brand you prefer? If so why? I find Schloer (sp?) too sweet. Other than that I cant think of many other brands that are that similar.

Q8 What do you think Appletiser the company do to improve the product, packaging or marketing? Bigger, lighter bottles. Although this is a product I would drink during the day the smaller bottles put me off

Q9 If you were in charge of selling Appletiser how would you try to encourage more mums, or mums to be, to buy Appletiser?

I would make it clearer that it is just fruit juice as because it is quite sweet I would assume there were a lot of additives and added sugar

Q10 Lastly, do you think you would recommend the Appletiser range to your friends? Yes

Q1 If you haven't tried Appletiser before, or for a long time, what are the reasons?

I didn't really think it was still around.

Q2 What was the best thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which was your favourite flavour?

Taste was lovely - fave was the pomegranite and the apple flavours.

Q3 What was the worst thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which flavour(s) weren?t you so keen on?

Didn't like the pear flavour much - tasted artificial like pear drops. Didnt like tha packaging of the two new flavours - would be better if they were in the same style as the apple and pear.

Q4 On what occasions would you typically drink a product from the Appletiser range?

Pomegranite as a wine substitute, apple as an every day special drink.

Q5 What foods do you think the different Appletiser flavours would be good with?

apple on its own or with a summery light meal
pomegranite with an evening meal

Q6 Did anyone else in your family, your children, or any of your friends try it? What did they think?

3yr old child - liked them all.
Husband - liked apple

Q7 How does the Appletiser range compare to other similar drinks? Is there a brand you prefer? If so why?

Compares favourably to Ame as they are more fruity and 'natural'. Ame seems contrived in comparison.

Q8 What do you think Appletiser the company do to improve the product, packaging or marketing?

Have all the packaging along the same lines as the apple and pear - different coloured caps with a printed plastic label. Make a big deal of the ingredients - i never realised it was just fruit juice - i thought it was more like carbonated soft drinks.

Q9 If you were in charge of selling Appletiser how would you try to encourage more mums, or mums to be, to buy Appletiser?

stress how they can contribute to the 'five a day' and how they have just fruit juice in tehm.

Q10 Lastly, do you think you would recommend the Appletiser range to your friends?

Definitely.

Q1 If you haven't tried Appletiser before, or for a long time, what are the reasons?
Don't tend to buy fizzy drinks that often.

Q2 What was the best thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which was your favourite flavour?
Looked very nice, lovely bottles. Liked the raspberry one best. I didn't realise they could count as 1 of the 5 a day.

Q3 What was the worst thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which flavour(s) weren?t you so keen on?
I find them quite expensive and the bottles aren't very big. I didn't really like the mango flavour. They do contain an awful lot of sugar though so likely to be a special treat.

Q4 On what occasions would you typically drink a product from the Appletiser range?
With a special meal or at a party/gathering. They make a nice alternative to alcoholic drinks.

Q5 What foods do you think the different Appletiser flavours would be good with?
I'd probably drink it with any meal. They were nice with salads.

Q6 Did anyone else in your family, your children, or any of your friends try it? What did they think?
DS (10) liked the raspberry and apple flavours. DH liked all of them which was a pity as he doesn't normally drink that kind of stuff!

Q7 How does the Appletiser range compare to other similar drinks? Is there a brand you prefer? If so why?
I don't buy that type of drink very often (usually at Christmas of for a party and then I tend to get whatever is on offer at the supermarket.

Q8 What do you think Appletiser the company do to improve the product, packaging or marketing?

Q9 If you were in charge of selling Appletiser how would you try to encourage more mums, or mums to be, to buy Appletiser?
Stress the fruit juice/5 a day and the no added sugar. Advertise in baby magazines. Free vouchers on mumsnet.

Q10 Lastly, do you think you would recommend the Appletiser range to your friends?
Yes. It was lively in the recent hot weather.

Q1 If you haven't tried Appletiser before, or for a long time, what are the reasons?
In the past personally found it too sweet and too fizzy. My son likes it though as a treat when out.

Q2 What was the best thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which was your favourite flavour?

Like the bottles, think they are quite expensive for an everyday children's drink. I enjoyed the mango one and the fruitizer.

Q3 What was the worst thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which flavour(s) weren?t you so keen on? Find the apple and pear too sickly, but I don't like "concentrated" apple and pear juices.

Q4 On what occasions would you typically drink a product from the Appletiser range? Would purchase for a summer party, and for children when out as a treat.

Q5 What foods do you think the different Appletiser flavours would be good with? As a drink by themselves. Too sweet for food.

Q6 Did anyone else in your family, your children, or any of your friends try it? What did they think? Husband liked all flavours and so did 5year old.

Q7 How does the Appletiser range compare to other similar drinks? Is there a brand you prefer? If so why? Think appletiser is as good as any other generally, although I personally prefer the Whole Earth lemonade. It is sweetened with fruit juice and is less sweet.

Q8 What do you think Appletiser the company do to improve the product, packaging or marketing?

Q9 If you were in charge of selling Appletiser how would you try to encourage more mums, or mums to be, to buy Appletiser?
Stress the natural element, no sweetners, fruit content etc. Treat element.

Q10 Lastly, do you think you would recommend the Appletiser range to your friends? Yes, especially the fruity ones. Refreshing.

Thank you, I enjoyed the chance to try them.

Natural ingredients, nice bottle. My favourite is pear, my dcs is apple

At bbq's, picnics, parties etc either as a substitute for wine or as a mixer (peartiser + gin= peardrops flavour drink )

any
Q6 Did anyone else in your family, your children, or any of your friends try it? What did they think?

more natural than most but very expensive.

Q8 What do you think Appletiser the company do to improve the product, packaging or marketing?

Q10 Lastly, do you think you would recommend the Appletiser range to your friends? Yes if it came up but I wouldn't make a point of recommending it unless we were discussing drinks.
