Many thanks for taking part in the Appletiser product test - please find below the questions that Appletiser would like you to answer. Please add your feedback once you've been able to try the drinks.

There are a number of questions as Appletiser are so keen to know what you think - please feel free to use these either as a prompt - telling us your overall views using these as a guide, or to answer each question individually.

If you have any other comments please add them below - they genuinely would like to know how they could improve on both the product and how it is promoted to both women such as yourself and to families.

Everyone who adds feedback to this thread will be entered into a prize draw where one lucky winner will win a £250 voucher for the store of their choice.

Thanks and good luck

Do any of you fancy yourself as a bit foodie? Well, if you do we are looking for the UK?s most stylish food. We want all you budding home chefs to send in a beautiful picture of something you have lovingly created.
The prize is dinner for 2 in London, a night in a fancy hotel and £500 to spend. Your winning dish will also be styled and shot professionally and then used by Appletiser for future promotions.
All you have to do is send your entry into www.facebook.com/appletiser and try your luck! :)

Q1 If you haven't tried Appletiser before, or for a long time, what are the reasons?

I haven't really seen it in the shops!

Q2 What was the best thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which was your favourite flavour?

The taste - I particularly liked the pomegranite and raspberry.

Q3 What was the worst thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which flavour(s) weren?t you so keen on?

The cost -- £2 something for a 750ml bottle is VERY expensive... almost pub prices really for something you're getting in the supermarket.

Q4 On what occasions would you typically drink a product from the Appletiser range?

Given the cost, probably when out and about at the pub.

Q5 What foods do you think the different Appletiser flavours would be good with?

Cheese..... but I would say that, I'm vegetarian. Probably not with sweet foods as would be overly sweet.

Q6 Did anyone else in your family, your children, or any of your friends try it? What did they think?

My husband enjoyed them, but was equally flabergasted about the cost. He thought that perhaps less money should be spent on the packaging in order to bring the cost down.

Q7 How does the Appletiser range compare to other similar drinks? Is there a brand you prefer? If so why?

On a par with other fizzy fruit drinks, e.g. Schloer.

Q8 What do you think Appletiser the company do to improve the product, packaging or marketing?

Probably needs more targeted marketing to make people more aware of it; less expensive packaging might help make it a more appealing price.

Q9 If you were in charge of selling Appletiser how would you try to encourage more mums, or mums to be, to buy Appletiser?

Emphasize the lack of added sugar and preservatives, given lots or pregnant women are very concerned about what they're pumping into their body (and their babies!)

Q10 Lastly, do you think you would recommend the Appletiser range to your friends?

Yes, but only if they were priced more competitively.

Q1 If you haven't tried Appletiser before, or for a long time, what are the reasons?

We rarely have fizzy drinks at home, I only order them when we are out. Very few restaurants and bars stock them. I have seen it only in one restaurant and in the Selfridges food court.

Q2 What was the best thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which was your favourite flavour?

I love the taste, the bottle and the fact that it is a natural drink. My favourite flavour is the original flavour - I find it refreshing without being too sweet.

Q3 What was the worst thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which flavour(s) weren?t you so keen on?

It is more expensive than other soft drinks, however I would pay a little more for an excellent product. I did not enjoy the Mango Mandarin & Apple - there were too many competing flavours in one bottle.

Q4 On what occasions would you typically drink a product from the Appletiser range?

If it is available in bars & restaurants, I would order an Appletiser instead of my usual coca-cola - I am pregnant so am not drinking alcohol.

Q5 What foods do you think the different Appletiser flavours would be good with?

Appletiser would go well with any cuisine - British pub food, a curry, Chinese, or just on its own.

Q6 Did anyone else in your family, your children, or any of your friends try it? What did they think?

My husband and a friend tried it. They loved it.

Q7 How does the Appletiser range compare to other similar drinks? Is there a brand you prefer? If so why?

I like the fizziness added to a juice - its very unique and a bit more grown up than just a plain orange juice for example. I do not have brand loyalty to a particular brand of juice - they seem rather homogenous.

Q8 What do you think Appletiser the company do to improve the product, packaging or marketing?

The product and packaging is great. The main area to focus on is marketing and getting the product out to more bars and restaurants. Its a great grown up alternative to alcohol and much more interesting than coca-cola or plain juice.

Q9 If you were in charge of selling Appletiser how would you try to encourage more mums, or mums to be, to buy Appletiser?

By focusing on the health aspect - Appletiser has no added sugar or preservatives. Mums and their families can have the pleasure of enjoying a fizzy juice without worrying about the added sugar or preservatives.

Q10 Lastly, do you think you would recommend the Appletiser range to your friends?

Of course.

Q1 If you haven't tried Appletiser before, or for a long time, what are the reasons?
Just hadn't thought about buying it for home, we don't have fizzy drinks very often and when we do it would be because they were on offer which Appletiser never is!

Q2 What was the best thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which was your favourite flavour?

Bottles looked nice. Hadn't realised about the naturalness of them so that is great. Pear was the favourite.

Q3 What was the worst thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which flavour(s) weren?t you so keen on?

Don't like the glass bottle too much potential for breaking. Too expensive in the supermarket for the amount you get, we would need 2 bottles for us all each time! I usually love apple juice and would have appletised if I was in the pub but I thought the one we had was horrid and tasted sort of chemically or something equally yuk! (Everyone else like it though)

Q4 On what occasions would you typically drink a product from the Appletiser range?

If I was out for a drink as I rarely drink alcohol.

Q5 What foods do you think the different Appletiser flavours would be good with?

Anything really tbh.

Q6 Did anyone else in your family, your children, or any of your friends try it? What did they think?

Yes everyone tried them and they were all loved and fought over!

Q7 How does the Appletiser range compare to other similar drinks? Is there a brand you prefer? If so why?

Usually buy Schloer if I am buying this type of drink but only because it is on offer!

Q8 What do you think Appletiser the company do to improve the product, packaging or marketing?

I think that although the bottles are attractive they are not very practical and they are too expensive for the amount. Also any advertising would be more than I can remember seeing!

Q9 If you were in charge of selling Appletiser how would you try to encourage more mums, or mums to be, to buy Appletiser?

More promotions in supermarkets. Vouchers in those Bounty type packs mums-to-be get. Discount offers for Mumsnetters perhaps!

Q10 Lastly, do you think you would recommend the Appletiser range to your friends?

Yes definitely.

sorry, I too have been so late in replying

Q1 If you haven't tried Appletiser before, or for a long time, what are the reasons?

We don't often drink fizzy drinks at home, and I try to avoid drinks that have added sugar / sweeteners in, so I don't often look at the fizzy fruit drink aisle.

Q2 What was the best thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which was your favourite flavour?

I liked the bottle and the fact it only contains fruit juice is very good. The raspberry and pomegranate was very nice, probably my favourite. The apple flavour was also lovely. The mango and mandarin flavour was a bit overpowering for me personally, but was ds1's favourite. Unfortunately the pear flavour got broken so we didn't try that one. I'll probably buy it to try at some point. I really enjoyed having a fizzy drink with no additives and no alcohol.

Q3 What was the worst thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which flavour(s) weren?t you so keen on?

The mango and mandarin flavour was a bit overpowering for me personally, but was ds1's favourite. I thought it was a bit too sweet.

Q4 On what occasions would you typically drink a product from the Appletiser range?

Going to a friends' party, special picnic, birthdays, Christmas.

Q5 What foods do you think the different Appletiser flavours would be good with?

I am not sure. We often have a drink like this with breakfast on Christmas day, because the fruit flavours go well with pastries and fruit.

Q6 Did anyone else in your family, your children, or any of your friends try it? What did they think?

My partner and 2 sons tried it and enjoyed all of the flavours.

Q7 How does the Appletiser range compare to other similar drinks? Is there a brand you prefer? If so why?

We have had Schloer in the past and I think I prefer Appletiser. The Schloer range is sweeter.

We like the Bottle Green range very much, for instance the elderfower presse, but they contain added sugar, so I would rather buy Appletiser in future.

Q8 What do you think Appletiser the company do to improve the product, packaging or marketing?

I think making it look slightly more upmarket along the lines of the Bottle Green packaging would make it more appealing. Slightly arty or exclusive looking bottles would be an improvement. I think the mango flavour should be freshened up a bit as it was kind of cloying. Maybe mix it with a citrus flavour. I think in general some more challenging complex flavours would be good - with more kick - more appealing to adults - more tart. Have these alongside the currently available ones.

Q9 If you were in charge of selling Appletiser how would you try to encourage more mums, or mums to be, to buy Appletiser?

Advertise as a more healthy alternative to usual children's fizzy drinks. Stress no added anything - just 100% fruit juices. So many products claim to be healthy but few are. (having said that, i would not drink appletiser other than on special occasions, or encourage my children to do so, as fizzy drinks are bad for teeth whether they contain added sugar or not...)

Q10 Lastly, do you think you would recommend the Appletiser range to your friends?

Yes, if the subject came up.

Thanks for letting us try them, we enjoyed it!

Sunday lunch, social event/party when not drinking, trip to pub when driving...

not really thought about it in those terms but I guess you could try to match to foods - eg apple with roast prok sunday dinner...

Q6 Did anyone else in your family, your children, or any of your friends try it? What did they think?
DCs and DH drank as much as they could - all liked it

Q7 How does the Appletiser range compare to other similar drinks? Is there a brand you prefer? If so why?

Q1 If you haven't tried Appletiser before, or for a long time, what are the reasons?

Too expensive to buy in the shops, but generally have forgotten about it since having it as a child.

Q2 What was the best thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which was your favourite flavour?

Nice looking bottle, pure juice with no added sugar, favourite flavour probably still Apple!

Q3 What was the worst thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which flavour(s) weren?t you so keen on?

Cost too much for only about 3 glasses, tastes too sweet, not that impressed with the Fruitiser flavours - couldn't really distinguish the flavours beyond it be "fruity"

Q4 On what occasions would you typically drink a product from the Appletiser range?

Dinner party, Sunday lunch, out at the pub

Q5 What foods do you think the different Appletiser flavours would be good with?

Agree with the others who have said it is probably better as an apertif, served with lots of ice cubes and very cold, but would drink it where I might normally drink white wine.

Q6 Did anyone else in your family, your children, or any of your friends try it? What did they think?

Indistinguishable fruit flavours, too sweet

Q7 How does the Appletiser range compare to other similar drinks? Is there a brand you prefer? If so why?

Same sort of target market as the Bottlegreen juices, but they taste a bit fresher.

Q8 What do you think Appletiser the company do to improve the product, packaging or marketing?

Change bottle design so a number can fit in the fridge at the same time - perhaps going for a wine bottle shape, aiming for being an alternative to wine.

Q9 If you were in charge of selling Appletiser how would you try to encourage more mums, or mums to be, to buy Appletiser?

Change bottle to a wine bottle to aim to be an alternative to wine, free bottle to mums to be/new mums in Bounty pack

Q10 Lastly, do you think you would recommend the Appletiser range to your friends?

Yes, as an alternative to wine for dinner parties.

Q1 If you haven't tried Appletiser before, or for a long time, what are the reasons? Hadn't thought of drinking fizzy apple - when I fancy apple juice I buy fresh and if I want something fizzy, I have either sparkling water or coke

Q2 What was the best thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)?
Which was your favourite flavour? Raspberry & Pomegranate

Q3 What was the worst thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)?
There wasn't very much in the bottle tbh. Which flavour(s) weren?t you so keen on? I wouldn't want more than a glass of the mango one - it wasn't refreshing really, a bit too sickly sweet.

Q4 On what occasions would you typically drink a product from the Appletiser range?

Any time I didn't want to drink alcohol and felt that water was too dull(!) Think the heaviness of the bottle would prevent me taking it anywhere tbh.

Q5 What foods do you think the different Appletiser flavours would be good with? I think they're better as an aperitif and not with food and I found they tasted better when VERY cold.

Q6 Did anyone else in your family, your children, or any of your friends try it? What did they think?
14 y/o girls liked the pear and the P&R.

Q7 How does the Appletiser range compare to other similar drinks? Is there a brand you prefer? If so why? Think Bottlegreen is possibly dearer but maybe better value as it can be diluted.

Q8 What do you think Appletiser the company do to improve the product, packaging or marketing? The bottle, although attractive, was heavy and cumbersome in my (admittedly undersized) fridge but it wasn't as nice when not chilled.

Q9 If you were in charge of selling Appletiser how would you try to encourage more mums, or mums to be, to buy Appletiser?
Make it cheaper and larger bottle - maybe sell as cordial like the elderflower ranges.

Q10 Lastly, do you think you would recommend the Appletiser range to your friends?
I think they're underrated, yes.

Q1 If you haven't tried Appletiser before, or for a long time, what are the reasons?

We usually stick to the same things - apple juice for the children and diet fizz for the adults. Appletiser just wasn't something I had thought to buy or try.

Q2 What was the best thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which was your favourite flavour?

I really liked the mango, lovely with ice. Also the pomegranite one, and the pear! lol, they were all lovely, but I think the mango wins.

Q3 What was the worst thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which flavour(s) weren?t you so keen on?

Out of all of them I least liked the apple.

I really don't like the fact the bottles are glass (and seem to leak).

The glass bottle definatly puts me off buying it.

Q4 On what occasions would you typically drink a product from the Appletiser range?

Hmm, before - never, but now I may buy a bottle once a week and save it for the weekend. I don't drink alcohol so its nice to have something a bit different to sip on when trying to relax.

Q5 What foods do you think the different Appletiser flavours would be good with?

I think they worked well with everything really, we had them with BBQ, curry, sunday lunch ... just a good drink for a sit down meal or a party.

Q6 Did anyone else in your family, your children, or any of your friends try it? What did they think?

My husband liked them alot, especially the pear.

My kids don't usually drink fizzies, (all under 6) but the 2 older ones tasted it and liked it too. but I wouldn't allow them todrink it regularly.

Q7 How does the Appletiser range compare to other similar drinks? Is there a brand you prefer? If so why?

At christmas we usually get scholer (?) fizzy drinks for on the table, but we would probably replace them this year with appletiser.

Q8 What do you think Appletiser the company do to improve the product, packaging or marketing?

I would get rid of the glass bottles. I know alot of people buy wine in glass bottles but thats an adult alcoholic drink. If you are marketing this towards a famiy drink I would swich to plastic. Its a hassle when you have children having glass about.

We go on picnics alot and the glass bottle would stop me taking this drink along to one, which is a shame because it would be a lovely addition to a picnic.

Or perhaps just give a choice of plastic or glass?

Marketing - Appletiser is not something that I hear much about, I wasn't even aware it was available to buy these days before this!
Perhaps some more 'offers' on it instore to coax people to try it?

Q9 If you were in charge of selling Appletiser how would you try to encourage more mums, or mums to be, to buy Appletiser?

Use a pregnant woman in advertising, a poster of a mum with a big bump relaxing on a chair with a tall cold glass of appletiser?

Alot of mums miss drinking alcohl in pregnancy, so this is a nice adult drink that could possibly ease that?

Q10 Lastly, do you think you would recommend the Appletiser range to your friends?

I would, it may not be something alot of people would be regularly but as a treat, yes!

Q1 If you haven't tried Appletiser before, or for a long time, what are the reasons?

I have tried it before but never bought it as part of a weekly shop.
I think this is because I usually do my shopping online so wouldn't see it unless I actually searched for it and if I did go to an actual supermarket I wouldn't buy it because I have too many greedy children and it wouldn't last two minutes.

Q2 What was the best thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which was your favourite flavour?
The bottles are lovely and the pear one was very refreshing.

Q3 What was the worst thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which flavour(s) weren?t you so keen on?
The cost is a bit too high for me to buy on a regular basis and I think all except the pear tasted too sweet.

Q4 On what occasions would you typically drink a product from the Appletiser range?
If someone else was paying probably as a mixer if we were having a summer bbq.

Q5 What foods do you think the different Appletiser flavours would be good with?
Not sure TBH.

Q6 Did anyone else in your family, your children, or any of your friends try it? What did they think?
My children liked it and so did the neighbours kids who my lovely children offered it too DP liked the apple one but thought the others were too sweet.

Q7 How does the Appletiser range compare to other similar drinks? Is there a brand you prefer? If so why?
I think it is similar to shloer and is about the same quality.

Q8 What do you think Appletiser the company do to improve the product, packaging or marketing?
The packaging is lovely although you could do a plastic version too.
TBH Appletoser is not a product I ever thought about buying so maybe more adverts and some offers?

Q9 If you were in charge of selling Appletiser how would you try to encourage more mums, or mums to be, to buy Appletiser?
I would promote it as a refreshing drink for mums to be and I would send vouchers out in the free packs new mums get with some info on about the importance of having a drink nearby when BF and appletiser being the perfect drink for new Mums as it is just fruit juice and water.

Q10 Lastly, do you think you would recommend the Appletiser range to your friends?

I would tell them the pear one is nice .

Q1. If you haven't tried Appletiser before, or for a long time, what are the reasons?
A1. I tend to either buy still fruit juice or fizzy drinks and appletiser never seems to be in the sections that I am looking - I also think that the bottle size makes it appear so such good value for money as the 1lt bottles etc.

Q2. What was the best thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which was your favourite flavour?
A2. The flavours are very refreshing especially when drinking from chilled on a hot day - apple is still my favourite and was lovely with vodka and ice!!!

Q3 What was the worst thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which flavour(s) weren?t you so keen on?
A3. The bottle size - i do not feel that the smaller bottle gives you such good value for money as they bigger 1lt bottles

Q4 On what occasions would you typically drink a product from the Appletiser range?
A4. When having guests as an alternative to coke/lemonade etc

Q5 What foods do you think the different Appletiser flavours would be good with?
A5. Bar b Ques / designated driver drink at parties/to drink when pregnant

Q6 Did anyone else in your family, your children, or any of your friends try it? What did they think?
A6. The whole family tried it and the kids loved the drinks as they don't usually get to drink fizzy drinks. I felt that appletiser was ok for them as a change and they really enjoyed it

Q7 How does the Appletiser range compare to other similar drinks? Is there a brand you prefer? If so why?

Q8 What do you think Appletiser the company do to improve the product, packaging or marketing?
A8. I have not noticed the range of appletisers when in the fizzy drinks area whilst shopping, maybe make it more obvious/prominent

Q9 If you were in charge of selling Appletiser how would you try to encourage more mums, or mums to be, to buy Appletiser?
A9. Smaller/lighter bottles so they can be put in pack lunches/picnics and also bigger bottles to make them more economical to drink at home

Q10 Lastly, do you think you would recommend the Appletiser range to your friends?
A10. Yes i would recommend them to friends and family as they are very nice

Q1 If you haven't tried Appletiser before, or for a long time, what are the reasons?

It was a fizzy drink, so assumed it was full of sugar.

Q2 What was the best thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which was your favourite flavour?

Nice flavours and no added sugar - all natural. The pomegranate flavour was lovely.

Q3 What was the worst thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which flavour(s) weren?t you so keen on?

Pear was not nice - wouldn't buy again. Also, I forgot to refridgerate one and it quickly went mouldy.

Q4 On what occasions would you typically drink a product from the Appletiser range?

Tea time and anytime we were thirsty

Q5 What foods do you think the different Appletiser flavours would be good with?

Savoury foods in general.

Q6 Did anyone else in your family, your children, or any of your friends try it? What did they think?

My 21 month old had some and enjoyed it. So did my partner.

Q7 How does the Appletiser range compare to other similar drinks? Is there a brand you prefer? If so why?

I prefer diet coke (my daughter doesn't have this!) due to low calorie. I like the appletise range and would buy it to have every so often - maybe not every day.

More red berry flavours please

Q9 If you were in charge of selling Appletiser how would you try to encourage more mums, or mums to be, to buy Appletiser?

Money off coupons and promote its natural ingredients - just fruit and fizzy water.

Q10 Lastly, do you think you would recommend the Appletiser range to your friends?

Yes.

Q1 If you haven't tried Appletiser before, or for a long time, what are the reasons?

Mainly the price, as a family of 6 we go through an awful lot of soft drinks and I would normally buy something more economical

Q2 What was the best thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which was your favourite flavour?

Loved the fact that it was addative free, no artifical sweetners is always a major plus in my eyes, the bottle looked attractive and expensive, it would not look out of place on a table set for a "posh" meal!. I loved the pear flavour, the children and DH prefered the mango and the raspberry/pommegranate flavour.

Q3 What was the worst thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which flavour(s) weren?t you so keen on?

I found the caps leaked when the bottle was stored on it's side, I wasn't too keen on the raspberry/pomegranate flavour and the children did not like the pear flavour.

Q4 On what occasions would you typically drink a product from the Appletiser range?

We regulqarly entertain family at home, for birthdays, anniverseries, holidays etc. I would pruchase the Appletiser range for drinking at these events.

Q5 What foods do you think the different Appletiser flavours would be good with?

I found all tye flavours worked well with most of the meals we ate, we typically eat medetteranian and fusion foods at home.

Q6 Did anyone else in your family, your children, or any of your friends try it? What did they think?

The children tried the drinks and their comments are noted above.

Q7 How does the Appletiser range compare to other similar drinks? Is there a brand you prefer? If so why?

I found the Appletiser range less sweet than Shloer, I would rate it alongside the Bottle Green range of producrs.

Q8 What do you think Appletiser the company do to improve the product, packaging or marketing?

Re design the caps to prevent leaking.

Q9 If you were in charge of selling Appletiser how would you try to encourage more mums, or mums to be, to buy Appletiser?

Promote it as an alcohol free drink for socalising, use vouchers in parenting magazines and websites.

Q10 Lastly, do you think you would recommend the Appletiser range to your friends?

Yes.

I just got another four bottles delivered, even though three of my last four were fine! Woo hoo! Upright box and the lids were taped on for extra security! Lovely! (Though not as pretty as the green box!)

Q1 If you haven't tried Appletiser before, or for a long time, what are the reasons?

Hadnt really seen them and we dont buy fizzy drinks in our house.

Q2 What was the best thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which was your favourite flavour?

Def the taste, its was great on hot day to have chilled glass. Fav flavor was raspberry one

Q3 What was the worst thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which flavour(s) weren?t you so keen on?

Wasnt so keen on apple one but wouldnt not drink it if it was offered. Not keen on bottles they take up a lot of room in fridge and even more on recycling.

Q4 On what occasions would you typically drink a product from the Appletiser range?

Might buy it for BBQs and friends over who dont drink.

Q5 What foods do you think the different Appletiser flavours would be good with?

Everything, they were great with all of our meals.

Q6 Did anyone else in your family, your children, or any of your friends try it? What did they think?
My husband liked them a lot and has added them to shopping list. neither of my children liked them but they dont like any fizzy drinks.

Q7 How does the Appletiser range compare to other similar drinks? Is there a brand you prefer? If so why?

We normally just buy squash or pure juice, mainly for the children.

Q8 What do you think Appletiser the company do to improve the product, packaging or marketing?

Advertise it as it contains 1 of the 5 a day, which is great.

Q9 If you were in charge of selling Appletiser how would you try to encourage more mums, or mums to be, to buy Appletiser?

Tell them about the 1 a day in fruit and also market it as a family drink because right now it feels very adult targeted.

Q10 Lastly, do you think you would recommend the Appletiser range to your friends?

yes

Q1 If you haven't tried Appletiser before, or for a long time, what are the reasons?
No good reasons, just not aware of it.

Q2 What was the best thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which was your favourite flavour?
Ingredients, I like the fact that it is natural.
Favourite flavour apple, I liked that it wasn't too sweet

Q3 What was the worst thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which flavour(s) weren?t you so keen on?
Cost, at full price it is expensive & 750ml doesn't go that far.
The fruitisers were a little sweet for me.

Q4 On what occasions would you typically drink a product from the Appletiser range?
With a special meal.

Q5 What foods do you think the different Appletiser flavours would be good with?
None really, would just buy my favourites.

Q6 Did anyone else in your family, your children, or any of your friends try it? What did they think?
DH & DD1 (3) & DD2 (16 months)
DH was impressed & liked the apple best as it was quite tart tasting
DD1 liked them all & is sad taht they are gone! She liked the raspberry one best

Q7 How does the Appletiser range compare to other similar drinks? Is there a brand you prefer? If so why?
Better than Schloer which is the only other similar one I have tried before.

Q8 What do you think Appletiser the company do to improve the product, packaging or marketing?
If anything I would say that it was a little too fizzy. 1 litre bottles would be better as would a slightly more competitive price.

Q9 If you were in charge of selling Appletiser how would you try to encourage more mums, or mums to be, to buy Appletiser?
Highlight the naturalness of it more, previously I wasn't aware there was a difference between appletiser & schloer.

Q10 Lastly, do you think you would recommend the Appletiser range to your friends?
Yes & I have done, I even gave away one of my vouches (but don't tell dd1)

Q1 If you haven't tried Appletiser before, or for a long time, what are the reasons?

Before getting pregnant I would drink alcohol or diet coke but avoiding alcohol when pregnant and diet coke too gassy.

Q2 What was the best thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which was your favourite flavour?

My favourite flavour was the pear one. The best thing was the fact they are so refreshing and not too fizzy.

Q3 What was the worst thing about the Appletiser range (including the taste, the bottle, ingredients, cost etc)? Which flavour(s) weren?t you so keen on?

My least favour flavour was raspberry and pomegranate although it was still nice. The glass bottles are heavy to carry- perhaps plastic ones could be used, although they wouldn't look so good.

Q4 On what occasions would you typically drink a product from the Appletiser range?

BBQ's, summer evenings, social gatherings

Q5 What foods do you think the different Appletiser flavours would be good with?

Salads, BBQ's, outdoor eating

Q6 Did anyone else in your family, your children, or any of your friends try it? What did they think?

My husband tried them all- he liked them too.

Q7 How does the Appletiser range compare to other similar drinks? Is there a brand you prefer? If so why?

I think they are better than comparable drinks such as Schloer which is too sweet and too fizzy. I like the fact it counts as one of your 5 a day too.

Q8 What do you think Appletiser the company do to improve the product, packaging or marketing?

Glass bottles are very heavy- change to something lighter. Think they need to make more of the 5 a day as it's not that prominent on the bottle.

Q9 If you were in charge of selling Appletiser how would you try to encourage more mums, or mums to be, to buy Appletiser?

Include something in Bounty packs etc given out- free samples coupons etc

Q10 Lastly, do you think you would recommend the Appletiser range to your friends?

Yes, definitely

Q1. Used to drink it about 20 odd years ago, before i started drinking alcohol legally . Then i found wine/ gin etc and i preseumed i had moved on. Considered appletiser to be a childrens drink i suppose.

Q2 I was looking forward to the pear one the most, but found that i enjoyed the apple one. Didnt seem as sweet as some of the others.

Q3 I loved the feel and look of the bottles, but they were heavy and bulky.

Q4 The bottles make it feel high end. So i would buy it along side wine if i had people coming over fro a meal to serve to non-drinkers/ drivers etc

Q5 Due to the weather, seemed to try all of them whilst we were having salads/ bbq burgers etc. Was very nice with it.. all flavours.

Q6 Gave the ends of each bottle to my mum and dad. they enjoyed them too.

Q7 At the moment, for a non-alcoholic drink, i quite like schleur (spelling.. the grape one) Appletiser compared well with it and i would consider it as a replacement buy.

Q8 Aparts from the lovely samples, i havent noticed any marketing going on. Need to aim marketing at adults... women in late 20s-40s, as a wine alternative. Would have been lovely drink when i was pregnant.

Q9 Mumsnet. Advertise in pregnancy magazines. Vouchers in those mums-to-be packs.

Q10 Yes
