This is the feedback thread for the 250 Mumsnet users who have been testing Sunbites in Sun Ripened Sweet Chilli and Sour Cream and Cracked Black Pepper flavours.

Quite satisfied with the taste and texture, but not enough in a bag. Children aged 11,8 and 5 also liked them.

Enjoyed both flavours but not as strong as I thought they were going to be.

2. What did you like / dislike about Sunbites? Loved the crunchy texture and the flavours tasted delicious. Liked the fact they were low syn for slimming world and quite filling.

4. What did you think of the Sunbites flavours you tried? Both flavours were lovely. The chilli one was my favourite.
5. Would you buy Sunbites as a sharing bag or not? Probably though I would run the risk of not sharing and scoffing the lot!
6. If Sunbites could launch a new flavour, what would you like it to be? Tomatoe flavour would be nice or even just salt and vinegar.

They had an almost melt in the mouth texture, light and non greasy.

Both flavours were equally nice . The chilli had just enough heat.

They were lovely, I'm not a great fan of crisps so it was nice to have something snacky that was different

I loved the chilli, the sour cream was ok but wouldn't have been my first choice. The children all preferred the sour cream but did like the chilli ones too

Sunbites? - very happy, the flavours were really nice, they were a delicious healthier alternative to crisps and my family enjoyed them. Would definitely buy again.

1. What did you like / dislike about Sunbites? - I liked the flavours and the fact that they are healthier than crisps. I didn’t dislike anything about them.

all the family really enjoyed both flavours. The Chilli ones disappeared first so they were the most popular.

I would say 7/10 based on both flavours altogether.

Really nice, crunchy texture. The sweet chilli ones were really lovely. They're not going to last long!

We loved the sweet chilli. DS especially. But none of us liked the sour cream and black pepper. Found the pepper to be the overpowering taste.

I think a paprika flavour would be really good. Like the Walkers Max paprika. I would definitely buy those if Sunbites did something similar.

Love the sweet chilli - it's a pleasant flavour ant not spicy. I don't like black pepper on crisps / snacks generally and always think cream cheese or sour cream flavours in crisps taste sour.

I was satisfied. They made a really nice change from the usual crisps/snacks we buy. I was surprised that my 3 year old liked the strong flavours as much as he did.

I initially disliked the texture but quickly got used to it. The flavours were great. Especially the sour cream and black pepper. I also liked that there wasn't too many crisps in a packet.

we loved the flavours, dd7 is very fussy, so was not very keen to try at first, but her 4 years old sister convinced her to try them, and then she loved them so much that she ate 2 packs in a row.

the flavours were perfect, not too much and not too little.

yes, I was actually thinking that a sharing bag would be better as with 3 kids, the 6 packs were finished within 1 hrs.

1. Overall pleasantly different texture to standard crisps
2. Liked that they appear healthier than standard crisps and a bit more filling. Wasn't overwhelmed by the strength of flavour particularly the chilli ones

5. Probably not. A sharing bag is a treat in my eyes and wouldn't interest me

We liked everything about them, they tasted amazing and they are better for you than eating normal crisps

I liked the flavours, they were very moreish, and I liked how they are high in fibre.

I really liked the sweet chill flavour so was completely satisfied with that one but was less keen on the sour cream flavour.

1. What did you like / dislike about Sunbites? I liked the really strong flavour of the sweet chilli and it was great to use with a dip as each one was a decent size to grab some dip! They also seemed healthier than “normal” crisps as they contained whole grains and did not have any greasy residue like other snacks can have. However I did not like the sour cream flavour as I felt it was a little bland and lacked some punch! I could not really have guessed the flavour of this one if it had not been on the packet.

I love the sour cream flavour as it was subtle, I found the sweet chilli a bit strong and artificial tasting.
Would you buy Sunbites as a sharing bag or not?
No, I think these are the type of crisps you buy when you want a snack or something to go with lunch that is a bit healthier than the average crisps on the market. I think share size bags I would want something that would appeal to everyone (especially kids) and I don’t think that you could guarantee these would.

A classic like cheese and onion or salt and vinegar would be nice.
