This is the feedback thread for the 250 Mumsnet users who have been testing Sunbites in Sun Ripened Sweet Chilli and Sour Cream and Cracked Black Pepper flavours.

1. How satisfied were you with Sunbites?

I was more satisfied with the chilli flavour as they packed more flavour but both were nice and if they weren’t very expensive I would buy them.

1. What did you like / dislike about Sunbites?

The packaging was light and colourful but not recyclable so a bit hit and miss with that. Flavourful and interesting flavours.

As an occasional snack yes

I liked both but definitely preferred the chilli flavour. I would be willing to buy other flavours to at least try though, so didn’t dislike either.

Personally no as I think there are other more established brands out there like Doritos that you can have a dip with or sensations which have a lot more flavours. I would however share with the children of the family the sour cream as I think they’d like the flavour and the texture of them.

Tomato and mozzarella or something like bbq beef/steak and chilli

Sweet chilli was my favourite, savoury but not too spicy! My husband really enjoyed the sour cream and black pepper

I like the taste, they feel like you arent being too naughty when you are eating them. Like you are eating something good or healthy.

I prefer the Sour Cream and Cracked Black Pepper flavour to the other flavour.

Im not sure i would buy a sharing bag, i prefer the regular size.

I would like them a taste of salt, vinegar, bacon, meaty type flavour - although not all together!

We were all really satisfied with Sunbites they tasted great.
We liked the fact they felt healthier than a normal pack of crisps, I didn't like the fact that they really weren't that much healthier ( fat content quite high)
We as a family all preferred the sweet chilli flavor. But both sweet Chilli & sour cream were tasty.
There are 5 of us in my family 4 of us would pick them as a snack. (esp the sweet chilli) My youngest son is still loyal to his cheese & onion!!
I would possibly buy a sharing bag depending on the price.
If I was to suggest a flavour?...

Could have had more of an oomph flavour wise for me, the sweet chilli especially could have done with more of a kick. But to be fair, I do prefer a strong flavour when it comes to crisps and I am generally a bit of a chilli fiend.

Liked the texture and the fact that they were suitable for vegetarians and the V sign was easy to see on the packaging so not need to search for it which I hate.

Both OK but could have done with more flavour. I found them a little boring and uninspired really.

Maybe a spicier chilli flavour.

We liked these as they were crispy and full of flavour. I didn't like that the sour cream flavour contain milk so my youngest daughter could not have them. We liked the sweet chilli flavour best. The pepper was overpowering in the sour cream ones. Not nice enough to make me buy a sharing bag but in salt and vinegar flavour I could be tempted.

I have tried them before and I think they have improved; the flavours were tastier than I remember. Nothing negative to say about them.

Not as a sharing bag as I would probably eat it all to myself as only one who likes these so individual packets would be my preference.

Really like the texture and both flavours. Not many crisps in the packet. Like that they're baked and therefore less calories/healthier

I really liked them - but the children, not so much. I think the flavours are a bit too 'grown up' and the texture aren't necessary appealing to children.

I'm more of a cheese & onion Kind of Girl, so I thought the Sour cream The sweet chilli flavour are by far my favourite - although I enjoyed both.

I probably would by share bags and single bags alike. Great to share, great to self indulge, a good snack for on the go.

A flavour that I think I'd like to see is something chicken and herby or ham and mustard or something like that ... or similarly something vegetarian, like sundried tomato and olive?

I’m always for a looking for a tasty accompaniment to my sandwiches in my packed lunch at work. These were more substantial and a bit different to my standard crisps. If I was on a strict diet I probably would choose an alternative but that really is nit-picking.

Yes, as an alternative to crisps.

The sour cream tasted lovely but ever so sickly towards the end. The chilli were very much to my taste, delicious.

I probably wouldn’t because to eat more than a standard bag would feel a bit too “heavy”.

I liked that they felt quite healthy - not too greasy. They definately had a 'wholewheatness' to them, reminded me a bit of a breakfast cereal, not sure which one

• I liked the texture. They feel much more substantial than a regular crisp. Probably not my favourite crisp flavours.
• I would definitely choose them again.

I loved the flavours and the crunchyness but I think they are quite high in fat and there were too few in the packet.

Very, they taste absolute amazing (both flavours) and lover the crunchiness

The flavours were great, the grains work well, I like them being a little crunchy. Not necessarily healthier (we compared the health factors to our normal ones)

Yes definitely. They are not too salty, so work well as a snack

In our household one of us liked the chili, I liked the black pepper varieties. The chili fan thought the black pepper was too bland.

I liked the texture of the Sunbites, definitely preferred them to other similar crisps. We all loved the flavour in particular of the Sour Cream ones. I liked the portion size, my son wasn't in complete agreement about this and would have preferred a few more.

The Sour cream & cracked black pepper was everyone's favourite. The Chilli was good as well (so I thought) but didn't go down very well with my nine year old.
