This is the feedback thread for Mumsnetters with children aged 5-10 who tested out the Tesco F&F school uniform range. Each tester was given a £20 Tesco voucher to go into store and buy uniform for their 5-10 year olds and have been testing out the uniform the last few weeks.

Here’s what Tesco F&F has to say: “Tesco uniforms are our best uniforms yet and with features such as reinforced knees on trousers, As-New technology, Teflon coating (eco-friendly) and much more, we’re confident that they will last and last and last.”

Testers please answer the following questions:

  • Could you get everything you needed for £20? How much would you normally spend on the ‘back-to-school’ shop for one child?
  • Was there a good range available in store? Could you get the specific size items you needed?
  • Based on the quality of uniform pieces you’ve bought, when do you expect you’ll next have to replace these?
  • Did you talk to any store staff about the back to school range and were they helpful and knowledgeable about the range?
  • Did the uniform fit well? Was it comfortable for your child to wear and play in?
  • How did the Tesco F&F uniform compare to other brands you’ve bought school uniform from in the past? Would you buy it again?

All testers who leave their feedback on this thread and fill in the short feedback survey will be entered into a prize draw to win a £300 Tesco voucher!

Thanks

Could you get everything you needed for £20? How much would you normally spend on the ‘back-to-school’ shop for one child?
Not everything for £20 I made a good start though

  • Was there a good range available in store? Could you get the specific size items you needed?
Good range on sale but not in the sizes I needed
  • Based on the quality of uniform pieces you’ve bought, when do you expect you’ll next have to replace these?
Hopefully what I purchased will last a year
  • Did you talk to any store staff about the back to school range and were they helpful and knowledgeable about the range?
No
  • Did the uniform fit well? Was it comfortable for your child to wear and play in?
Yes
  • How did the Tesco F&F uniform compare to other brands you’ve bought school uniform from in the past? Would you buy it again?
I would have liked non iron shirts but everything else I’d buy again
MuvvaHubbard · 24/07/2018 22:07

Unfortunately I did not receive my Tesco voucher so have been unable to test F&F school uniform.

  • Could you get everything you needed for £20? How much would you normally spend on the ‘back-to-school’ shop for one child?

For my £20 i bought two long sleeve two short sleeve two pairs of trousers. I have to buy a sweater from the school supplier but am very happy with what i purchased for my £20 voucher

  • Was there a good range available in store? Could you get the specific size items you needed?
I did want to buy new shorts but obviously there is a heatwave and only one pair left in the store I went to. Understandable.
  • Based on the quality of uniform pieces you’ve bought, when do you expect you’ll next have to replace these?
I think the quality is such that even wearing four shirts on rotation for a year they will look good after that time.
  • Did you talk to any store staff about the back to school range and were they helpful and knowledgeable about the range?
No
  • Did the uniform fit well? Was it comfortable for your child to wear and play in?
Fits very well, my son is a tall slim 10Y old and I bought age 11.
  • How did the Tesco F&F uniform compare to other brands you’ve bought school uniform from in the past? Would you buy it again?
Compares verywell to John Lewis which I would ordinarily default to. The non iron come up very uncreased. Great stuff. Would buy again and need to buy for my daughter still so thats great to know.

  • Could you get everything you needed for £20?

No, but the uniform range is good value for money. £20 would probably get the main items or replace outgrown clothes.

-How much would you normally spend on the ‘back-to-school’ shop for one child?

Shoes £30 (need to be very tough!)
2 jumpers from school suppliers as they have logo on them £36
4 pairs of trousers £24
4 shirts £12
Socks £5
Jacket £25

Possibly also
4 pairs of shorts £24
4 polo shirts from school supplier as they have logo on them £32
Plimsolls £4
PE tshirt (school supplier) £8
PE shorts £4 for 2 pairs

However, I do buy second hand logo items and will hand down items from DS1 to DS2.

  • Was there a good range available in store? Could you get the specific size items you needed?

When I went in two weeks ago, there looked like there was a good range, but on closer looking it was lots of the same. Same sizes, loads of white shirts but hardly any blue, loads of black trousers only a limited amount of grey, very few pairs of plimsolls etc.

  • Based on the quality of uniform pieces you’ve bought, when do you expect you’ll next have to replace these?

I’m hoping that the shorts will last right through until the end of next summer at least.

  • Did you talk to any store staff about the back to school range and were they helpful and knowledgeable about the range?

No, none around in shop floor. Only at F and F tills, which had a queue.

  • Did the uniform fit well?
No. Took age 7-8 shirts back that I’d bought for 5.5 year old! They were long and thin, too tight across the back and tops of the arms. Much prefer the fit of Asda shirts. Compared two unwashed ones, Asda one was much wider across the back. I would guess by about 2 inches. So took them back, none in next size up and to be honest I shouldn’t need 8-9 for a 5.5 year old. I’d rather buy elsewhere.

Trousers were similar, if they fitted around the waist with a bit of room to grow they were too long in the leg.

Was it comfortable for your child to wear and play in?

Yes, DS1 liked the shorts. Seemed comfortable.

When we finally got hold of plimsolls in the right size, they seemed a good fit, comfy, sturdy etc.

  • How did the Tesco F&F uniform compare to other brands you’ve bought school uniform from in the past? Would you buy it again?

I think the quality is comparable to other supermarkets such as Sainsbury’s and Asda (although I don’t like Asda’s trousers either!). But not as good quality as M&S.

I probably wouldn’t buy shirts or trousers in Tesco again. Would definitely buy shorts (providing these ones last), plimsolls and PE shorts.

Seems to have been a strange time to ask us to test, as I went to Tesco yesterday and they’ve tripled the space given to uniform, re-stocked with a far batter range of colours and sizes. Maybe I would have had more luck now?!

Overall, not written off Tesco, but not my preferred choice for some items for DS1 as other brands fit better. Will probably buy odd items in the future and prices are great.

momscribe · 25/07/2018 13:35

First of all, thank you for the voucher . My DS felt pleased when it was spent on him. Much appreciated!

Could you get everything you needed for £20? How much would you normally spend on the ‘back-to-school’ shop for one child?

Partially yes! I did get the boys white shirts (2 pack) for £4.00 , Polo shirts (2pack) for £3.50, one adjustable trouser (£9.00) and a P.E short (£4.00). All came around to £20.50 which is a good price for the products I got. Normally, my expenditure along with shoes, socks, jumper, PE kits and extra trousers will be around £60.

Was there a good range available in store? Could you get the specific size items you needed?

I went to the big tesco store in Kingston and did find a good range available but finding a specific size was difficult. I have to let go one particular trouser because I could'nt find the size I need.

Based on the quality of uniform pieces you’ve bought, when do you expect you’ll next have to replace these?

I found the material of white shirts too good. They wash of any stains easily as well as ironing them is a breeze. My DS used them to school on the finals weeks of summer and found it very comfortable. The P.E short was good too.

But, the same could not be said with the one trouser that I bought as they look a bit out of shine and look from two to three washings now. Hope they last longer.

Overall, I guess the material would last until my DS outgrow them.

Did you talk to any store staff about the back to school range and were they helpful and knowledgeable about the range?

No, I did not talk to any of them.

Did the uniform fit well? Was it comfortable for your child to wear and play in?

Yes, they did fit them well and my DS was happy as he felt comfortable all day in this weather wearing them.

How did the Tesco F&F uniform compare to other brands you’ve bought school uniform from in the past? Would you buy it again?

Compared to other brands, I like the fact that Tesco quality is better in quality and price for some products. Honestly, I would buy them for the white shirts. It also depends upon the product availaibity and size in stores. I would be happy to buy them again and hope to see them available for online purchase.

  • Could you get everything you needed for £20? How much would you normally spend on the ‘back-to-school’ shop for one child?
No I could not get everything I need for £20 but I got the basics, black trousers, white shirts, PE shorts and polo shirts. I usually spend around £50 but that includes shoes and branded sweatshirts.
  • Was there a good range available in store? Could you get the specific size items you needed?
Yes there was a good range and I got the sizes I needed.
  • Based on the quality of uniform pieces you’ve bought, when do you expect you’ll next have to replace these?
They seem good quality and washed well so hopefully they should last a few months until the next size is needed.
  • Did you talk to any store staff about the back to school range and were they helpful and knowledgeable about the range?
I didn't talk to any staff about it.
  • Did the uniform fit well? Was it comfortable for your child to wear and play in?
Yes the uniform was a good fit and my son was happy to wear it.
  • How did the Tesco F&F uniform compare to other brands you’ve bought school uniform from in the past? Would you buy it again?
The uniform was good quality and the polo shirts especially were better quality than others supermarket uniform. I will definitely buy from there again.

  • Could you get everything you needed for £20? How much would you normally spend on the ‘back-to-school’ shop for one child?

No, I couldn't - I normally buy 3 dresses, 5 polo tops and 2-3 cardigans, to last a whole week.

  • Was there a good range available in store? Could you get the specific size items you needed?

The range available in my local store is really poor, but they did have the size that I needed. There just isn't much choice so had to just buy what they had, rather than choosing one style over another.

  • Based on the quality of uniform pieces you’ve bought, when do you expect you’ll next have to replace these?

The dress seems really good quality and I think the polo tops will also last, depending on how dirty my daughter gets them! With the cardigan, I'm not so sure, as I find that these are the first things to wear out normally. My daughter only got to wear them for 2 weeks, but on the whole so far they seem ok.

  • Did you talk to any store staff about the back to school range and were they helpful and knowledgeable about the range?

No, I didn't need to.

  • Did the uniform fit well? Was it comfortable for your child to wear and play in?

Yes, the uniform did fit well. I bought an 8-9 as my daughter is 8 in September and I often find Tesco clothing in general to be on the smaller side. She said she liked it and it felt comfortable.

  • How did the Tesco F&F uniform compare to other brands you’ve bought school uniform from in the past? Would you buy it again?

It was a similar quality to other uniform that I've bought, I didn't think it seemed much different from other supermarket uniforms that I've bought in the past. I think I would buy it again if the price remains around the same as other supermarket branded uniform. Thank you for the voucher Tesco and Mumsnet!

allanhume · 25/07/2018 21:34

Could you get everything you needed for £20? How much would you normally spend on the ‘back-to-school’ shop for one child?

I couldn’t get everything I needed for £20 as some of the school uniform has school logo, however, I would struggle to get a full uniform that wasn’t logoed for £20. I like a few changes so would spend anything up to and beyond £100

Was there a good range available in store? Could you get the specific size items you needed?

There was little if no range in both extra stores I visited which was very disappointing. My daughter is of an average size but due to lack of range I couldn’t compare sizes.

Based on the quality of uniform pieces you’ve bought, when do you expect you’ll next have to replace these?

Maybe around December but this more because of my child growing.

Did you talk to any store staff about the back to school range and were they helpful and knowledgeable about the range?
I didn’t talk to anyone in the store.

Did the uniform fit well? Was it comfortable for your child to wear and play in?

Couldn’t get skirt or trousers but the shirt fitted well and she seemed happy.

How did the Tesco F&F uniform compare to other brands you’ve bought school uniform from in the past? Would you buy it again?

We usually buy John Lewis uniform because of the feel and I don’t think this will change my shopping habits because this felt poor quality.

WarmHugs · 25/07/2018 21:57
  • Could you get everything you needed for £20? How much would you normally spend on the ‘back-to-school’ shop for one child?

No, because I buy 3-5 of each item. I normally spend about £50 per child, not including shoes.

  • Was there a good range available in store? Could you get the specific size items you needed?

No, there was no red cardigans or dresses at all. Not a single one.

  • Based on the quality of uniform pieces you’ve bought, when do you expect you’ll next have to replace these?

I think they will last a full year.

  • Did you talk to any store staff about the back to school range and were they helpful and knowledgeable about the range?
Nope, no staff to be found.
  • Did the uniform fit well? Was it comfortable for your child to wear and play in?

It was comfortable, but as usual not made for slimmer dc. If I get the right height, they swim at the waist.

  • How did the Tesco F&F uniform compare to other brands you’ve bought school uniform from in the past? Would you buy it again?

Great quality, better than some of the more expensive brands. Would buy certain bits again. Polo shirts are great.

Lyn29 · 26/07/2018 08:27

Could you get everything you needed for £20?

I couldnt get what I needed full stop so I had to buy some autumn/winter dresses and one skirt to put away for next term.If they did have what I needed I think I would of been able to get enough uniform for a couple of days but unfortunately after going 3 different stores they didnt.

How much would you normally spend on the ‘back-to-school’ shop for one child?
I normally spend about £100 with shoes as my daughters cardigans and polo shirts have to have the school logo on.
Was there a good range available in store? Could you get the specific size items you needed?
No there wasnt a good range in store, I had to visit 3 different stores which were all quite far away from each other. I could get the sizes I needed when I eventually found some uniform but there wasnt alot to choose from and on a couple of items I actually bought bigger so they would fit my daughter come autumn/winter.
Based on the quality of uniform pieces you’ve bought, when do you expect you’ll next have to replace these?
The quality of the dresses and the skirt does look really good. Looks like it will wash well and hopefully not have to iron.....hopefully!!One of the dresses also says that it has Stain resist on it so Im hoping that it lives up to its word as this would be fabulous as getting spaghetti bolognese of a school uniform thats been soaking it up since lunchtime is testing!! Im hoping by the look of the quality of the dresses they will last the school year.
Did you talk to any store staff about the back to school range and were they helpful and knowledgeable about the range?
I did speak to staff in 2 different stores and both seemed to find it funny that I was looking for uniform at that time of year and also had the approach of "no chance" They said I had a couple of weeks before the full range would be in the shops and I felt like I was wasting my time.
Did the uniform fit well? Was it comfortable for your child to wear and play in?
My daughter didnt even get the chance to wear it as its been so hot here and the only dresses I could get were thick, almost woolen dresses and my daughter was wearing the spring/summer uniform at the time which is pinafore dresses that I couldnt find any anywhere AND my daughters school has 3 different colours to choose from and still no luck. I did find a couple of playsuit style dresses but my daughters school are not allowed to wear them and I think they could also cause some toilet issues.

How did the Tesco F&F uniform compare to other brands you’ve bought school uniform from in the past? Would you buy it again?
By the look of it and quality it looks fine but the selection and having to visit 3 different stores has really put me off. The amount I spent in travelling to the 3 different stores probably equated to the amount of the £20 voucher. In visiting other stores they defiantly have a bigger section and for roughly the same price. I would buy again though but would help if we could of purchased online rather than having to travel around for what I needed.

Thanks for choosing me for this product test, I just wished it was a different part of the year so I could of got what I wanted and really got to test the uniform thoroughly.

  • Could you get everything you needed for £20? How much would you normally spend on the ‘back-to-school’ shop for one child?
I would not be able to buy everything needed for £20 but I do like 5 skirts and 5 shirts and 5 pairs of tights so I only have to do a uniform wash once a week. I usually spend around £100 including Clarks shoes.
  • Was there a good range available in store? Could you get the specific size items you needed?
The range was abysmal; nothing in my local store and very little when I drove to the Tesco Extra 45 minutes away. All I was able to get in my daughter's size was pinafore dresses; they only had these and boys' trousers, a few skirts and pinafores and nothing else, no polo shirts, jumpers, gingham dresses, tights or daps. I did notice that my local store had an aisle full of uniform on Tuesday evening so perhaps we were just too early, but I had to buy as we were supposed to be testing last week so I couldn't hold on any longer.
  • Based on the quality of uniform pieces you’ve bought, when do you expect you’ll next have to replace these?
The quality seems ok but not amazing and based on the look of them after washing I think they will need replacing after a term or less.
  • Did you talk to any store staff about the back to school range and were they helpful and knowledgeable about the range?
I did look for someone in the Tesco Extra to ask why they had such a poor range of uniform but was unable to find anyone, it was a busy Saturday afternoon and there didn't seem to be anyone around on the clothes section.
  • Did the uniform fit well? Was it comfortable for your child to wear and play in?
The pinafore dresses seemed to come up quite short so I had to buy a larger size as my daughter is tall (bought age 7-8 and my daughter is 5), so this means that the dresses are very baggy and tent-like on her. They were comfortable for her if a bit loose, but were very hot to wear in this weather, she would have preferred a summer dress.
  • How did the Tesco F&F uniform compare to other brands you’ve bought school uniform from in the past? Would you buy it again?
The range was much worse than my usual Asda and the cut and fit were not as good either, they also didn't wash as nicely as George uniform. Prices were comparable. The F&F uniform wasn't terrible but did fall short of my usual brand so for that reason, I would not buy it again.
Angelfaced · 26/07/2018 10:45

Could you get everything you needed for £20? Yes but i would usually buy quite a few sets having a boy he needs fresh outfits daily as has started to perspire now.
How much would you normally spend on the ‘back-to-school’ shop for one child? £50
Was there a good range available in store? yes
Could you get the specific size items you needed?Yes
Based on the quality of uniform pieces you’ve bought, when do you expect you’ll next have to replace these? I generally habe to buy new trousers and school shirts every few months due to him playing football at school and getting holes in trousers and also getting marks on the white shirts.
Did you talk to any store staff about the back to school range and were they helpful and knowledgeable about the range? they got me different sizes from the stock room and were helpful
Did the uniform fit well? yes
Was it comfortable for your child to wear and play in? yew

  • How did the Tesco F&F uniform compare to other brands you’ve bought school uniform from in the past? Usually buy Asda George as its similar prices and we live near asda and the Tesco f and f seems the same value and quality.

Could you get everything you needed for £20? How much would you normally spend on the ‘back-to-school’ shop for one child?

No, £20 does not go far with uniform but is a handy top up. Thank you for selecting me for this product test. Much of my DC uniforms are logoed and from specific suppliers but we do get the additional basics from supermarkets etc, which I far prefer.

  • Was there a good range available in store? Could you get the specific size items you needed?

A good range available, possibly better than I’ve seen in recent years but I never normally buy in July as I’m always convinced that my two will have a summer growth spurt. All sizes in stock.

  • Based on the quality of uniform pieces you’ve bought, when do you expect you’ll next have to replace these?

I bought mainly sports basics in slightly baggier sizes and I’m hoping that they’ll last the year, maybe two. Unless they get lost, which is more likely!
Trousers will depend on how fast DS grows.

  • Did you talk to any store staff about the back to school range and were they helpful and knowledgeable about the range?

It was all so simple, I didn’t need to talk to anyone.

  • Did the uniform fit well? Was it comfortable for your child to wear and play in?

Absolutely fine.

  • How did the Tesco F&F uniform compare to other brands you’ve bought school uniform from in the past? Would you buy it again?

Compared well and sports at shirts have washed nicely. Trousers seem sturdy, if a little stiff. I’m hoping they will soften with washing. Yes, I’ve no doubt that i’ll Buy non-logoed pieces from Tesco again.

Thank you again!

Faithless12 · 26/07/2018 14:27

@allanhume I’m glad it wasn’t just me that felt that way. I’ve been reading the reviews and I think it had a similar feel to the uniform that sometimes comes into Aldi.

  • Could you get everything you needed for £20? How much would you normally spend on the ‘back-to-school’ shop for one child?

No. Got tshirts and shorts. Would usually spend 75 per child including logos pe kit and jumpers

  • Was there a good range available in store? Could you get the specific size items you needed?

No. Poor choice. Only black not grey or navy available. Few shorts. No pe kit.

  • Based on the quality of uniform pieces you’ve bought, when do you expect you’ll next have to replace these?

Hopefully will last the year but tshirt don't look like that robust

  • Did you talk to any store staff about the back to school range and were they helpful and knowledgeable about the range?

Yes I did. Very polite but clueless and commented on how poor the stock amount was!

  • Did the uniform fit well? Was it comfortable for your child to wear and play in?

Yes good.

  • How did the Tesco F&F uniform compare to other brands you’ve bought school uniform from in the past? Would you buy it again?

Quality seems OK but more expensive than Asda. Given poor choice would not bother making the 1.5hr round trip to buy it next year.

Could you get everything you needed for £20?
I could get a whole uniform but I'd usually buy more.

How much would you normally spend on the ‘back-to-school’ shop for one child?

I'd usually spend around £150 for primary uniform including shoes.

  • Was there a good range available in store?

Yes, all the items I needed.

Could you get the specific size items you needed?
Yes

  • Based on the quality of uniform pieces you’ve bought, when do you expect you’ll next have to replace these?

I'd say within 8-10 weeks for the trousers and shoes, possibly 3 months for the tops, my son is VERY hard on his clothes!

  • Did you talk to any store staff about the back to school range and were they helpful and knowledgeable about the range?

I actually did, I wouldn't normally but I asked a staff member to look for a certain size trouser.

  • Did the uniform fit well?
Yes, my son is tall and slim and the trousers especially fitted well and didn't rub

Was it comfortable for your child to wear and play in?
Yes, he didn't complain about the fabric, which he normally does.

  • How did the Tesco F&F uniform compare to other brands you’ve bought school uniform from in the past?
It did seems more hard wearing, as unsaid, my son is VERY hard on clothes and I've known him go through knees in 2 days but he didn't, they seemed sturdier than asda uniforms, the polo tops also stayed white.

Would you buy it again?
Yes, definitely, mainly because the fabric didn't irritate my son.

Couldn't find uniform items due to poor range. Would buy the socks and underwear again. Will stick to Asda, Matalan and M&S for uniform items.

1, no not everything. Got skirts and tops but couldn’t get shoes too. Would usually spend about £50

  1. Very good range and managed to get everything I planned to
  1. Maybe 6 months

4.No

  1. Very comfortable and generous and roomy enough to move around easily and play
  1. Quality doesn’t seem quite as good as M and S or Sainsburys but obviously cheaper so I would probably buy again

Could you get everything you needed for £20? How much would you normally spend on the ‘back-to-school’ shop for one child?

I usually spend between 40-50 per child on uniform and shoes excluding trainers. So Is definitely got a lot of what I needed but not everything.

  • Was there a good range available in store? Could you get the specific size items you needed?

There was a pretty small selection left when I went but I was able to find a few things in her size that she loved.

  • Based on the quality of uniform pieces you’ve bought, when do you expect you’ll next have to replace these?

They seem like they'll last until she outgrown them probably next year.

  • Did you talk to any store staff about the back to school range and were they helpful and knowledgeable about the range?

No there were very little floor staff there

  • Did the uniform fit well? Was it comfortable for your child to wear and play in?

The fit was lovely and roomy. She's in love with the little shorts playsuit and asked to wear it several times.

  • How did the Tesco F&F uniform compare to other brands you’ve bought school uniform from in the past? Would you buy it again?

It was very good quality and quite stylish too. We will definitely go back for more.Star

Could you get everything you needed for £20?
No, I could have done with a younger child perhaps, but as my daughter is 10 years old, the prices are higher than for a 5 year old, so I couldn't get a full set.

How much would you normally spend on the ‘back-to-school’ shop for one child? I would need to spend at least £30

  • Was there a good range available in store? Sadly, when I went to the store the first time, there was hardly anything available in a Tesco Extra, which I found really surprising.

Could you get the specific size items you needed?
I was surprised that in the summer term, I couldn't find a summer dress or a cardigan in my child's size or in the right colours! There were a couple of red and white summer dresses in very small sizes and a couple of blue cardigans again in very small sizes. I could only find t-shirts on the first visit and I had to visit another store a few weeks later to find some suitable clothing.

Based on the quality of uniform pieces you’ve bought, when do you expect you’ll next have to replace these? Having finally found some, I think these will last well provided my daughter doesn't grow too much to wreck them as my children inevitably do - in the playground or with art supplies! Hopefully 6-12 months wear.

  • Did you talk to any store staff about the back to school range and were they helpful and knowledgeable about the range? I asked whether they had any more in stock at the first visit and they said no and weren't aware when the next shipment was expected.
  • Did the uniform fit well? Yes, great fit generally - although the dress was a little slack around the middle, but my daughter is slim and she doesn't mind.
Was it comfortable for your child to wear and play in? Very easy to move in and play in. No complaints from my daughter at all - she loves it.
  • How did the Tesco F&F uniform compare to other brands you’ve bought school uniform from in the past? Great quality and made to last. Would you buy it again? Yes - but if the stock levels were low again, I would just go to the nearest competitor rather than wait, so it is worth having better stock levels of older children's clothes and the full colour range.

  • Could you get everything you needed for £20? How much would you normally spend on the ‘back-to-school’ shop for one child?

No, I couldn’t, but she needed PE kit and shoes as well as uniform. I’d normally spend £35-40, depending on whether she needed a new cardigan too.

  • Was there a good range available in store? Could you get the specific size items you needed?

No, not at all. My nearest Tesco stocking uniform had nothing in navy in the correct sizes, and didn’t stock blue school shirts. They didn’t even have summer dresses in the right size - stock was really limited. In the end we got school shoes, polos and cycling shorts for PE.

  • Based on the quality of uniform pieces you’ve bought, when do you expect you’ll next have to replace these?

The hem on the cycling shorts is unravelling already. The polos will hopefully last the year. Hard to tell with the shoes - they seem to be holding up better than normal (my daughter can wear the toes through on shoes in two months).

  • Did you talk to any store staff about the back to school range and were they helpful and knowledgeable about the range?

No I didn't.

  • Did the uniform fit well? Was it comfortable for your child to wear and play in?

Yes, it was fine.

  • How did the Tesco F&F uniform compare to other brands you’ve bought school uniform from in the past? Would you buy it again?

It was hard to compare as I couldn’t get the basics. The polos seem to be decent quality for the price - I’d buy these again. The shorts probably not as they unravelled. The shoes maybe if they hold up to the punishment they’ll get!

Not everything but I have a boy who is very fussy and has to have a fresh outfit every day! But I did get 2 pairs of trousers and 4 shirts (I added a couple of £'s)

Not to bad, the cheaper trousers didn't have his size
  • Based on the quality of uniform pieces you’ve bought, when do you expect you’ll next have to replace these?
The shirts probably on a few months due to him spilling dinner! But the trousers seem very hardy!

No

A bit big but he is on the small side

Yes definitely, my youngest starts school in September so guess where we're going to get his first uniform! He needs to work on buttoning up though! Lol!
