  • How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use? DD is 9 weeks old, size 2.
  • What was your overall impression of Mum & You Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?
Like PP, bit of a naff name, went for an interesting angle but she's a bit young to understand any made up stories about her nappy! Liked that they were made from recyclable materials; unsure about whether this made them biodegradable, the pack wasn't clear.
  • What did you like most about the nappies? Nice design, very soft.
  • Which nappychat design did you choose? The grey with stars
  • Describe if/how you used the nappychat designs to talk with your baby
Not really, as mentioned in above point. If they were older and mentioning the nappy design themselves perhaps, but not now.
  • Would you recommend these nappies to a friend? No, unfortunately we had a few leaks in these, so kept them for use in the house where we could do a full change of clothes without bother if needed, then went back to usual brand for going out and nights. Would have liked an indicator.

  • How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use?

My dd is 10 weeks old and I used the size 2 nappies

  • What was your overall impression of Mum & You Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?

I loved how soft and pretty the nappies are - so nice to have a nappy that isn't white.

  • What did you like most about the nappies?

The design was my favourite thing about the nappies.

  • Which nappychat design did you choose?

I had the stars, moons and suns design.

  • Describe if/how you used the nappychat designs to talk with your baby

I didn't as my baby is too young really. But I would definitely talk about them with her as she got older. I also think I would buy more than one design so that she can choose what design she wants to wear when she is older - a good distraction if you have a baby who doesn't like being changed!

  • Would you recommend these nappies to a friend?

I have done!

LorelaiVictoriaGilmore · 19/04/2018 09:30

I should add that although I did like the nappies, I intensely dislike the name. Mum & You??? Reallly?

Hk24498 · 19/04/2018 09:40

How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use?
He is 4 months and I used size 3

  • What was your overall impression of Mum & You Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?
I absolutely loved how soft they were, I was genuinely surprised at how lovely they felt. The design was also very cute. They looked quite posh as far as nappies go! Unfortunately they leaked for us - I think they were a little too big (we went by the recommended sizing but maybe this needs to be looked into?)
  • What did you like most about the nappies?
The look and feel for definite.
  • Which nappychat design did you choose?
The blue ones. They were lovely.
  • Describe if/how you used the nappychat designs to talk with your baby
I didn't make up any stories (too busy with my wriggly baby!), but I did chat to him about how lovely they looked and showed him the little pictures as they were much bigger and bolder than on other nappies.
  • Would you recommend these nappies to a friend?
For the design and feel, yes, but as they leaked I would probably mention that which would obviously put people off (especially as they aren't the cheapest brand), which is a real shame as if they hadn't leaked I would buy them again as they are so soft they must feel lovely for my baby compared to other brands.

  • How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use?
My son is 3 months old and we tested size 2
  • What was your overall impression of Mum & You Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?
Likes - cool design, really soft materials, fits under belly button, no leaks Dislikes - urine smell not as well contained as with some supermarket own brand napppies
  • What did you like most about the nappies?
The materials used - it was lovely to know my son would be so comfortable in them. My toddler also loved talking to his brother about the animals during nappy changes.
  • Which nappychat design did you choose?
Animals
  • Describe if/how you used the nappychat designs to talk with your baby
I talked about which animals were pictured and my toddler joined in by making their noises
  • Would you recommend these nappies to a friend?
Yes, from a comfort perspective
LadyFuchsiaGroan · 19/04/2018 15:55

  • How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use?

My baby is 3 months and we tested the size 3 nappies.

  • What was your overall impression of Mum & You Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?

My first impression of them was that they were soft and I loved the design of them.

  • What did you like most about the nappies?

How soft they felt compared to other brands of nappies.

  • Which nappychat design did you choose?

Animal design in blue.

  • Describe if/how you used the nappychat designs to talk with your baby

I personally didn't, but my 5 year old loved these nappies and every nappy change wanted to use one of these nappies. She enjoyed telling her brother all about the animals featured on the nappy (accompanied by the relevant animal noise Grin)

  • Would you recommend these nappies to a friend?

Yeah most definitely we have had no accidents whilst using the nappies, the design is really unique and I loved how soft they were.

Winningbeauty · 19/04/2018 17:56

Tester

How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use?

My little boy is 8 months, we tested from 7 and a half for two weeks. He is roughly 8kg, we tested size 3.

  • What was your overall impression of Mum & You Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?

I loved the design, this was really cute and the nappies were much softer compared to my usual pampers/AldI/Lidl. There was no chemical smell once the nappy was full. They are also bigger than the usual pampers size 3 which was good.

Unfortunately these nappies only lasted 6 hours before leaking. When I say leaking it wasn’t one particular area it was the whole nappy area. I didn’t try overnight as a result. This may be as he was towards the end of the weight range, as overnight I usually use a size 4 pampers now.

  • What did you like most about the nappies?

Soft in texture, no problems with nappy rash, no chemical smell once full, nice design. Pack also contains more nappies per pack than pampers/aldi

  • Which nappychat design did you choose?

Blue with a cloud

  • Describe if/how you used the nappychat designs to talk with your baby

I didn’t use this, this to me is a gimmick. My son is 8 months and wriggly. Get off, get on, get out.

  • Would you recommend these nappies to a friend?

Yes, however the price for one pack is 3-4 times more than pampers, this would be difficult to justify on a regular basis but if I had a friend who was finding other nappies a problem I would recommend.

Prusik · 19/04/2018 20:25
  • How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use?
Baby is 3 months and I used size 2.
  • What was your overall impression of Mum & You Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?
Overall I really liked the nappies. They felt soft and fitted well. I did change them more regularly than the normal supermarket brand that I use and although I had no leaks, I often found myself touching his vest/grow thinking they felt damp. It would have been really nice if there were a mix of designs within one pack to add some variety and to encourage more talk. Also if the chat cards were included in the nappy pack.
  • What did you like most about the nappies?
I really liked how soft they were. The patterns on the nappy were also attractive.
  • Which nappychat design did you choose?
My nappies had a cat on them.
  • Describe if/how you used the nappychat designs to talk with your baby
I pointed out the animal to toddler while I was changing the babies nappy. But to be honest, with two in nappies, it's usually a quick change and on with our day.
  • Would you recommend these nappies to a friend?
I would recommend them if they were a comparable price to supermarket brands
witheringnights · 19/04/2018 20:47
  • How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use?
7 months, size 3
  • What was your overall impression of Mum & You
Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them? They were so soft! It felt nicer putting my son in these because they were soft. Don't know that he noticed the difference.
  • What did you like most about the nappies?
The softness, also they felt a bit bigger than some other size 3s I've used. And they felt less bulky.
  • Which nappychat design did you choose?
Hmm. The green and blue one. Tbh I totally missed the point with the nappychat thing
  • Describe if/how you used the nappychat designs to talk with your baby
I did once I was reminded to, but I'm normally just shouting "ds! Stop rolling over!"
  • Would you recommend these nappies to a friend?
Yes. No leaks for me, I'm still changing overnight at least once though, as Ds doesn't bother sleeping so I haven't tested if they'd last the night.
SomeoneNamedSarah · 19/04/2018 23:10

My baby is 9 months old and we used the size 3 nappies (we usually use size 3 pampers).

My overall impression was that they were very soft and not at all bulky. I liked the design, but I do agree with previous posts that the name "mum and you" is a bit off putting for me... also found that they leaked every now and again which I don't experience with pampers or some supermarket brands. I didn't bother house them at night because the nappy leaked on the first day of trying them, and night leakage had always been a big issue for us.

What i like most about the nappies was the general feel- they are very soft. I also liked the design. And that they are kinder on the environment and ethically made.

I chose the blue animal design,

I didn't really bother with this "nappy chat" thing. I did try it once but ds really didn't seem interested in the nappy, and it didn't feel.very natural to me. I don't really get why you would talk about a nappy. My main focus is getting him in it!!

Personally I wouldn't recommend these nappies because of the leakage. I have never had problems with pampers and most supermarket own brands are cheaper and more effective.

  • How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use?

11 weeks, size 2

  • What was your overall impression of Mum & You Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?

Lovely and soft, they seem very short front to back compared to other brands though and as a mother of long, skinny babies it's something I'm conscious of. I suspect they would struggle with post-jabs poofests.

  • What did you like most about the nappies?

Softness - they would be lovely for a newborn.

  • Which nappychat design did you choose?

Blue animals

  • Describe if/how you used the nappychat designs to talk with your baby

I have a 2 year old as well - not an awful lot of time to sit and chat over nappy changes with either of them!

  • Would you recommend these nappies to a friend?

Yes, if they're willing to pay a premium price. I'm generally not tbh.

owltrousers · 20/04/2018 12:49

My DS was 10 weeks old at the time we tested out the nappies, size 2.

Overall impression was that they were very cute and I was drawn to them being more eco friendly than the normal type I buy (Mamia or pampers) I was thinking that there were going to be several patterns on the nappies however, and was a little disappointed when there was just one. They were incredibly light and looked nice and slim on my son, however I did find them to run rather small compared to the other brands I usually buy.

The thing I liked most was the eco friendly aspect of these nappies, I think more can be made of this!

We had grey/silver stars, we didn't use the 'nappychat' idea, as I talk to my baby constantly anyway, I didn't have much to say about the design.

YouCantCallMeBetty · 21/04/2018 10:00

How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use? My DD is 5 months and we tested size 3.
What was your overall impression of Mum & You Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them? I like the design and softness. I also like that sales help to raise funds for families in need. I disliked the name and the fact that they leaked badly at night.

  • What did you like most about the nappies? Probably the softness. They also didn’t have the slightly chemical smell that Pampers can have.
  • Which nappychat design did you choose? Blue with animals
  • Describe if/how you used the nappychat designs to talk with your baby. I didn’t do this and had forgotten it was a feature of the nappies.
  • Would you recommend these nappies to a friend? Not really, they look nice but are expensive and leaked at night to the extent that I only used them during the day and when I thought a poo wasn’t due!
Kmmac1980 · 21/04/2018 10:13

How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use? Size 2 / 6 weeks old

  • What was your overall impression of Mum & You Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?
I liked the softness & the cut-out for the cord. It’s good they’re biodegradable.

For little ones I would prefer the urine indicator. I have looked at prices online. Too dear and weird that packages coming with wipes too. What if you don’t use wipes or prefer a different brand? Leaky at night.

  • Which nappychat design did you choose? Clouds / stars with pink & grey colour scheme
  • Describe if/how you used the nappychat designs to talk with your baby
I didnt really. She can’t see them as they’re on her bottom. I can’t see the point in this aspect. All nappies have some sort of picture on. These aren’t unique really. I would find it easier to tell a story about a monkey and a lion (pampers) than clouds!
  • Would you recommend these nappies to a friend? Prob not. Too dear and not as effective as pampers. Also, not readily available. This hasn’t impacted my review at all but I think the brand name is a bit old fashioned. I’m not offended by it or anything but having Mum in the title is a bit narrow minded!
RSmith89 · 21/04/2018 12:52
  • How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use?
My son is 3 months old and we used size 2
  • What was your overall impression of Mum & You Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?
The nappies were lovely and soft inside and out and the appearance was really nice, but the fit wasn't great for my son and I found he leaked a few times.
  • What did you like most about the nappies?
How soft they were
  • Which nappychat design did you choose?
Animal friends
  • Would you recommend these nappies to a friend?
Not due to the leakage or price, but think the concept is brilliant and being eco friendly is wonderful
LaBelleSausage · 21/04/2018 16:39

How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use?
My baby is 21 weeks old, we used the size 3 on him.

  • What was your overall impression of Mum & You Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?
I liked the softness and the eco credentials of them. I didn’t like how thin they felt or their price.
  • What did you like most about the nappies?
How soft they were, I don’t think I’ve felt another disposable quite like them.
  • Which nappychat design did you choose?
The blue ones with animals
  • Describe if/how you used the nappychat designs to talk with your baby
I didn't. I don’t feel that I want to be distracted during a nappy change!
  • Would you recommend these nappies to a friend?
Absolutely not. I’ve never known nappies to leak as badly as these. I don’t know if perhaps the weight range is just too big but my son is 15lbs and nearly every nappy leaked. He’s long and thin so perhaps that’s why, but apart from the first one I tried where he pooed within about twenty minutes and was in a lying down position, every time he had a bowel movement it came down the front of his legs. The nappies were also so thin that they felt damp after only about 3-4 hours. In contrast my son can wear pampers premium protection overnight for 12 hours and not have a single leak or even a hint of outside damp. I have never had so much trouble with any brand and I don’t plan to finish the pack.

I can’t believe how badly they perform for a nappy that’s so expensive.

  • How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use?

My twins are 9 months old and we used size 3

  • What was your overall impression of Mum & You Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?

I think the nappies look a bit girly as some of the animals had pink flowers. I also think the nappies are too expensive. As a mum to twins there is no way I could afford to buy these nappies.

  • What did you like most about the nappies?

The main thing I did like about them was that they felt soft.

  • Which nappychat design did you choose?

Animals

  • Describe if/how you used the nappychat designs to talk with your baby

No, I don't really see the point, lots of other nappies in the disposable nappy industry have vibrant designs on and I don't usually bother talking to my twins about the designs on them as I'm usually in a rush when changing nappies.

  • Would you recommend these nappies to a friend?

No

SamiZayn · 21/04/2018 19:31

Size 3, baby is 16 weeks
  • What was your overall impression of Mum & You Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?

Gorgeous design, really soft, nice big pack.

  • What did you like most about the nappies?

Softness

  • Which nappychat design did you choose?

Weather design

  • Describe if/how you used the nappychat designs to talk with your baby

not really

  • Would you recommend these nappies to a friend

No, they were nice but they leaked badly

Jinglesplodge · 22/04/2018 16:53

How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use?
11 weeks - we used size 3, which seemed a smaller fit than other brands: shorter from front to back.

  • What was your overall impression of Mum & You Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?
Overall, they weren't for us. I liked the softness and the environmental credentials. I disliked the damp feeling of a wet nappy and the fact that poo leaks happened several times. It was hard to see immediately which was front and back - granny in particular struggled with this. I'm also not sure about having Mum in the brand name.
  • What did you like most about the nappies?
I liked the soft feeling.
  • Which nappychat design did you choose?
The green packet - animals
  • Describe if/how you used the nappychat designs to talk with your baby
When I first opened the packet I'd show him a nappy before changing but only because I knew this was a selling point! We have a nappy changing song and changes are over quickly. It's a shame all nappies in the pack are the same as there's a very limited amount to say about a few animal pictures!
  • Would you recommend these nappies to a friend?
No, because they leaked for us. I'm aware that they're expensive but even if they were cheaper than our usual nappies I still wouldn't switch.
DwightsCasualSocialOutfit · 22/04/2018 19:56

I used size 3 for my daughter - she is 7 months.
Really like the soft feel of the nappies and the designs were quite cute. I did find that if the nappy was quite wet it did leave her vest with a damp feel, but no actual leaking.
We had the blue animals ones - cat / elephant / giraffe
I actually forgot about the nappy chat element of them - too busy trying to wrestle her into them, but I think this would probably work best of each pack had several designs.
I would recommend to a friend based on the lovely soft feel and eco properties however only for the right price. I can see previous posters mentioned an extortionate price point however I seem to have missed where the price was given!

applebags · 22/04/2018 21:21

My baby is 6 months old and we tested the size 3 nappies.

I found the nappies to be very soft and they seemed to be very comfortable for my son. The fit seemed better than Pampers. I particularly liked the fit and feel of them.

We tried the blue animal design and I thought they looked very sweet. I talked to my baby about the animals, but I didn't think the design necessarily encouraged me to talk to him any more than the pattern on my normal brand.

I'd definitely recommend these nappies to friends - this is based more on the quality rather than the appeal of the designs.

Burghgirl · 22/04/2018 22:07

How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use?

My baby is 11 weeks old and we used size 2 nappies.

  • What was your overall impression of Mum & You Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?

When I first opened the nappies, I loved how soft they were and also how they were a lot less bulky than our usual nappies. However, they turned out to be a lot less absorbant than my usual brands, we had several leaks and even without an actual leak my son’s vest and babygro would often feel damp after a couple of hours. I stopped using the nappies at night after a couple of nights where his clothes, sheets and mattress cover all needed changed when he woke for his first feed.

  • What did you like most about the nappies?

The softness and claims to be more environmentally friendly than other brands.

  • Which nappychat design did you choose?

The animals.

  • Describe if/how you used the nappychat designs to talk with your baby

To be honest, I didn't as I tend to talk to my son about the things he can see and he can’t see his nappy when it’s being changed. I also didn’t really feel inspired by the pictures of animals, not that different from pictures on other brands.

  • Would you recommend these nappies to a friend?

No, I wouldn’t. We had too many issues with leaking and dampness. Also, I dislike the brand name, in my family and all others I know nappy changing is done by dads too.

HariboFrenzy · 23/04/2018 04:13

- How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use?
3 months, size 3.

- What was your overall impression of Mum & You Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?
I liked the feel/texture and the design. I also liked the bio-degradable aspect. Overall I thought they were good nappies.

- What did you like most about the nappies?
They felt very soft. Other nappies feel a bit plastic-y in comparison.

- Which nappychat design did you choose? The blue animals.

- Describe if/how you used the nappychat designs to talk with your baby
I didn't actually as my baby is so young, but I did talk about them with my older child (aged 2). We talked about the different animals and the sounds they make. As other reviewers have commented, a selection of designs in each pack might be a good idea to keep interest going.

- Would you recommend these nappies to a friend?
Yes, definitely. The only thing that puts me off changing to this brand is the price unfortunately. I feel it is far too high.

pinyata · 23/04/2018 08:47

My baby is 10 month old and we used the size 3 nappies

I liked the feel of the nappy, it was soft and didn't make the crinkly sound normal nappies do.

On first looking at the nappies I was worried that they would not be as absorbent as the nappies we had been using, as my baby has started to sleep through the night I didn't think they would be able to last 12 hours as they felt thin however this was not the case they lasted the full night with no leaks.

We had the blue nappies with animals on them when doing changes would tell my baby the names of them and found myself singing "the animals went in two by two"

Yes I would recommend to a friend

Cheseq · 23/04/2018 10:08
  • My baby is 5 months old and we used size 3 nappies.
  • my overall impression of Mum & You Nappies was that they were ok. The feel of the material was nice, but damp to touch once saturated.
Chose the animal design. Didnt use the designsvto talk with baby. Wouldn’t recommend, as these are pretty similar to pampers baby dry, and pricier.
