This is the feedback thread for the Mumsnetters who have been testing monthly subscription boxes Pink Parcel and/or bettybox with their daughters.

Here’s what Pink Parcel and bettybox have to say:

Pink Parcel: “Pink Parcel is the UK’s No1 period subscription box that unites periods and pampering to make your time of the month fuss-free and fabulous. Delivered to your door monthly on a day of your choosing each box contains over £40 of tampons, pads and beauty products including a mix of cult beauty brands, herbal teas and artisan chocolates. You can select your choice of tampons, pads or a mix of both from all your trusted brands. This convenient box ensures you’ll never run out of products again.”

bettybox: “bettybox is the perfect pick me up for girls. As well as all their trusted tampons and/or pads, they can expect sweet treats, make-up, stationery and more all from brands specially selected for teens. Choose from your favourite tampon and pad brands and receive your monthly box with treats worth up to £30 delivered for free directly to your door. You’ll never have to worry about running out of pads again!”

Testers, please give your feedback by answering the following questions, as well as completing the survey we’ll be sending you via email shortly.

  1. What did you think about receiving your pads and tampons directly to your door each month?
  2. Do you feel PinkParcel/bettybox is good value for money?
  3. What one thing - if anything - would you change about the box/es?
  4. Would you recommend Pink Parcel/bettybox to a friend/family member?
  5. Did you find you had too little, too much or just enough pads and tampons and how did you find the mix of tampon and pad products?

All testers who give the required feedback will be entered into a prize draw where one tester will win a ÂŁ300 voucher.

Thanks and good luck!

  1. What did you think about receiving your pads and tampons directly to your door each month?
it wuld hve been better if it fitted through the letter box.
  1. Do you feel PinkParcel/bettybox is good value for money? pink parcel, no not really. betty box a bit better.
  2. What one thing - if anything - would you change about the box/es?
more pads for your money. definitely not enough for me.
  1. Would you recommend Pink Parcel/bettybox to a friend/family member?
maybe to another mum who's daughter had just started? nice for a treat when you've just started to make you feel a bit better about it all.
  1. Did you find you had too little, too much or just enough pads and tampons and how did you find the mix of tampon and pad products?
no tampons here. too little pads for the money i thought and i had to buy extra for the month.

1. What did you think about receiving your pads and tampons directly to your door each month?

It was ok but no way the box would have fitted through my letterbox so if I hadn't been in I'd have had to trek to the post office depot which is much further than just going to the local shop to pick some up.

2. Do you feel PinkParcel/bettybox is good value for money?

It would be worth it for more special items, not for the sanitary products unless there were new ideas to try.

3. What one thing - if anything - would you change about the box/es?

Pantyliners aren't necessary unless asked for, mine are still unused despite all the other products being used (and didn't have quite enough for the month for myself so had to go buy more anyway) and I don't use pads overnight so wasn't overly happy at the assumption I would use those when I had requested tampons. My daughter really enjoyed hers though I don't think she's used anything other than the snacks and pads. There's also too much packaging although it's recyclable.

4. Would you recommend Pink Parcel/bettybox to a friend/family member?

I'd not go out my way to recommend them but if someone was interested then I wouldn't discourage them from trying them, it was a nice treat.

5. Did you find you had too little, too much or just enough pads and tampons and how did you find the mix of tampon and pad products?

Too few tampons for myself and pantyliners/pads which I didn't use and gave to my daughter instead. Due to the mix up with boxes she did end up with more pads so she seemed to have enough but being a teenager there are months where that would be enough, and others where she would need more.

Cismyfatarse1 · 04/04/2018 22:45

DD's box arrived and she loved it. But, oh, the packaging.

Treats brilliant except she was not interested in the food / tea.

Cismyfatarse1 · 04/04/2018 22:49
  1. What did you think about receiving your pads and tampons directly to your door each month?

It was great and, unlike others, it did fit through the letterbox.

  1. Do you feel PinkParcel/bettybox is good value for money?

Yes. But more beauty, less food.

  1. What one thing - if anything - would you change about the boxes.

More ability to choose sizes of pads / number.

  1. Would you recommend Pink Parcel/bettybox to a friend/family member?

Yes. It would make a lovely present.

  1. Did you find you had too little, too much or just enough pads and tampons and how did you find the mix of tampon and pad products?

Too many pantyliners and not enough jumbo pads for heavy days.

cupofteaplease · 05/04/2018 08:02
  1. What did you think about receiving your pads and tampons directly to your door each month?

I liked the idea, it’s always good to be prepared and have a stash of products ready. My dd was so excited to receive her box (there was a mix up and I’m not sure the box she eventually received was meant for her though)

  1. Do you feel PinkParcel/bettybox is good value for money?

I’m not sure what the RRP is for these boxes, but I wouldn’t want to pay much more that £10 per month.

  1. What one thing - if anything - would you change about the box/es?

The size. Mine had to be collected from the sorting office as it wouldn’t fit through the letter box.

  1. Would you recommend Pink Parcel/bettybox to a friend/family member?

Possibly the Bettybox for a younger girl just starting out with periods. I know my dd would like to sign up.

  1. Did you find you had too little, too much or just enough pads and tampons and how did you find the mix of tampon and pad products?

I would have liked more pantyliners. I don’t wear night pads so they will be wasted. My dd didn’t have any tampons at all in her box, which makes me think it was the wrong box as I’m sure I put them down on the preference list.

Overall, I think the concept is a good one. And I loved the fabric bags the products came in- they will be so useful.

1. What did you think about receiving your pads and tampons directly to your door each month?
It’s a great idea! DD was especially excited to receive hers.

2. Do you feel PinkParcel/bettybox is good value for money?
It is good value for money as the beauty products/extras are of great quality and full sized.

3. What one thing - if anything - would you change about the box/es?
The actual boxes to be slightly smaller! We have (what we thought was) a larger than average letter box. Unfortunately the boxes are too big to fit.

4. Would you recommend Pink Parcel/bettybox to a friend/family member?
Yes I would recommend both boxes. Maybe not as a monthly subscription though. For a once in a while treat, they are excellent! I don’t buy a lot of beauty products, so it really did feel very luxurious. Perhaps if you do buy beauty products regularly, a monthly subscription would make sense.

5. Did you find you had too little, too much or just enough pads and tampons and how did you find the mix of tampon and pad products?
We both had just enough products.

kateclarke · 05/04/2018 10:29
  1. I don’t mind picking up my s.p in the supermarket as and when I need it. However it was great for my dd as she is quite shy about telling me what she needs, and looking through her stuff feels like an invasion of privacy, so it was nice to know she was sorted.
  2. It seemed quite expensive for what it was. Was great novelty value, but wouldn’t really want to do it every month.
  3. As others have said, less packaging and able to fit through the letter box.
  4. I think these are great for teenagers just starting their periods. It is nice to make them into a positive thing and something to look forward to. I wouldn’t really recommend the adult one but I was really good to try products that I have never used before.
  5. I found that my box had just the right amount of products. My dd had loads of extra, but she has only just started her period so maybe has a light flow?
Minisoksmakehardwork · 05/04/2018 17:13
  1. What did you think about receiving your pads and tampons directly to your door each month?
I do like the idea as since sterilisation my period chooses a random cycle every month and the number of times I’ve been caught out recently is embarrassing.
  1. Do you feel PinkParcel/bettybox is good value for money?
The pink parcel definitely is not good value for money product wise. I can get my menstrual supplies much, much cheaper and in larger quantities than the pink box supplies. But I couldn’t value the extra to actually give a considered answer. If they are trial size, again, probably not good value for money. Everything in Betty box could be bought cheaper. But it depends on your reasoning for purchase.
  1. What one thing - if anything - would you change about the box/es? The boxes need to be sturdier. All of mine were loose and falling apart without being pushed through a letterbox - they wouldn’t fit ours although it is an external box so I gave the company a pass on that issue. The postman handed us ours and they just hadn’t stood up to the postal process.

I would also have liked the option of choosing my drink. I’m really not a fan of herbal and strange teas. The ability to choose standard tea/coffee/chocolate or specialist (herbal, chai, green etc) would have suited much better. As it is, that drink has gone in the cupboard in the vain hope that I know someone who likes it so it’s not a waste.

Dd’s Drawstring bag was nice and discrete for her School bag. But I would have preferred mine to have been black and pink without the logo/company name. If asked, I would be more than happy to discuss where it came from but then having had a consultant obstetrician with her hand up my birth canal trying to get a baby out, in a room packed with midwives, anaesthetists etc, there is little about female biology which embarrasses me anymore.

I do like that the packaging was all card though as it is easily recycled. It would be nice to know if the company use recycled board in the first place.

Oh, and absolutely the ability to identify which pads were which. I am familiar with the product packaging that I normally purchase but if I were to try something new, I’d like to know what it was for future reference.

  1. Would you recommend Pink Parcel/bettybox to a friend/family member? The pink box, As a one off treat every now and then yes. It was a nice concept. The Betty box would be perfect for a young woman just starting out on her periods and wondering what it’s all about. It’s a great way of trying a variety of products. It would likely also suit students and young women moving away from home who might still be embarrassed about purchasing menstrual products in a face to face exchange. However, as an adult I know what does and doesn’t suit me and am old enough now not to be worried either. I am slightly concerned that the concept feeds into that periods are to be hushed away and never spoken about, a bit like harking back to the Victorian era.
  1. Did you find you had too little, too much or just enough pads and tampons and how did you find the mix of tampon and pad products? I had enough menstrual products for myself. Dd had enough pads for herself as she is just starting out. But I think were she mature, she would struggle. If I had the pads she had, I would have run out.

It does concern me that the company failed to send out the parcels addressed correctly and they have not yet satisfied me that this was a one off. Particularly given there are young people involved in this data breach.

  1. What did you think about receiving your pads and tampons directly to your door each month?
It’s a great idea! DD was especially excited to receive hers although I was really disappointed at the delivery farce. Mine arrived torn to bits getting through the letter box, my DD went to the sorting office and I was unable to collect as we have different surnames so they wouldn’t give to me and she has no I.d yet.
  1. Do you feel PinkParcel/bettybox is good value for money?
It is good value for money as the beauty products/extras are of great quality But I wish we could have had a bit of input into them especially if we were actually subscribers as some bits were not what I would chose.
  1. What one thing - if anything - would you change about the box/es?
The actual boxes to be smaller.
  1. Would you recommend Pink Parcel/bettybox to a friend/family member?
It was a lovely treat although The delivery farce has put me off.
  1. Did you find you had too little, too much or just enough pads and tampons and how did you find the mix of tampon and pad products?
We both had just enough products. I wish the flow was clearer marked though as they were a bit unclear.
ClaudiaWinklepants · 05/04/2018 18:14
  1. What did you think about receiving your pads and tampons directly to your door each month?
Thought it was quite a good idea, especially for my daughter who is always excited to receive stuff through the post.
  1. Do you feel PinkParcel/bettybox is good value for money?
I probably would spend less a month on san pro, however the treat products were nice and great opportunity to try new products. Think possibly better for my daughter who found it very novel and was pleased with her treats.
  1. What one thing - if anything - would you change about the box/es?
The packaging. I felt there was a lot of unnecessary cardboard. Also, the boxes wouldn't fit through my standard letter box. Fortunately, my postie knows where to hide in our safe place so didn't have to go to the sorting office to retrieve.
  1. Would you recommend Pink Parcel/bettybox to a friend/family member?
Yes, especially on the basis of the quality of the treats.
  1. Did you find you had too little, too much or just enough pads and tampons and how did you find the mix of tampon and pad products?
About the right amount; good selection, although my preferred san pro was included it was a good opportunity to try other products.
Theimpossiblegirl · 06/04/2018 08:44

Got our Bettybox yesterday so dd will do an unboxing later.
:)

CountingDownToBedtime · 06/04/2018 14:46

1: It would be a good idea if the boxes fitted through the letterbox.
2:I think the Bettybox is better value for money,my daughter loved the little treats in hers.
3:It would be better if the boxes were sturdier,as 2 arrived crushed, plus a smaller box would be better,as wouldn't fit through the letterbox.
4:No,don't think I would recommend, especially after the name mix up.
5:There was too many pads for 1 month for us,but was a good mix.

UnicornMadeOfPinkGlitter · 06/04/2018 15:02

1. What did you think about receiving your pads and tampons directly to your door each month?

I quite liked the idea, although as I do a regular food shop and browse the bargain shops like home bargains, while I take my son to his boxing club, its really no effort for me to pick up cheap and reliable sanitary protection.

2. Do you feel PinkParcel/bettybox is good value for money?

The Pink Parcel was better value than the Betty Box that my daughter received, although it looks like the previous one would have been better for her.
She's only just 12 so the spot squeezer (Gross anyway) was not appreciated, or the coconut flakes, or the weird coloured lipstick. She did like the packaging on the lipstick but would have preferred a flavoured balm.
The hair bands are no good as she has short hair but she liked the pens.
perhaps an age selector would be good as the gifts in this one were probably more appropriate for an older teen,. She definitely would have preferred proper chocolate and not a herbal teabag.

I loved the facial oil in mine, so much so I am considering buying one when it runs out.

My daughter stole the little bag from my Pink Parcel as the one from the Betty Box was a very loud green and yellow stripe so she didn't want that one. she did like the black with white bow print though and now uses that over the little cath kidston oilcloth pouch she used before.

3. What one thing - if anything - would you change about the box/es?

A Bigger range of types of pads and tampons to be available, nicer food items, basic ones, teens generally would prefer a bar of dairy milk or galaxy as opposed to coconut flakes or energy bars.

That the box would fit through a letter box and less packaging inside, so perhaps a paper band around the pads/tampons rather than a complete box?

4. Would you recommend Pink Parcel/bettybox to a friend/family member?

If we were discussing beauty box subscriptions then I would mention the pink parcel as I did like the small items inside and the amount and quality matched the birch box I used to subscribe to.

I probably wouldn't recommend the Betty Box. I'd say my daughter was actually a bit embarrassed to receive it, as at 12, she still wants periods to be a private matter, despite me reassuring her its natural and trying to be as open as possible about my own periods.

5. Did you find you had too little, too much or just enough pads and tampons and how did you find the mix of tampon and pad products?

I'll be honest I didn't really check which ones I was using and if they were the one received in my box or ones that were already in my handbag/bathroom cupboard. I think the amount would be ok for most people, but maybe not enough for those with heavier periods.

My daughter didn't receive enough of the night time towels, her periods can be heavy and she likes to use them at school as she can be sure of no leaks then as a night time towel covers practically every inch of her pants!

steppingout · 06/04/2018 17:33
  1. What did you think about receiving your pads and tampons directly to your door each month?
I've never had an issue buying them in the shops, but it was convenient to have them delivered. If I signed up for myself or my stepdaughter, it would probably be more about the other stuff that came with it.
  1. Do you feel PinkParcel/bettybox is good value for money?
I did, although it might have been because I really liked all of the products that were included. If I signed up and the next 2/3 included things that I wasn't interested in, I might feel less like it was worth it. My stepdaughter liked what was included in hers, although I agree with other posters that it's aimed at an older teen - she really doesn't need spot reducing facial stuff yet.
  1. What one thing - if anything - would you change about the box/es?
I can see that all of the separate boxes make it feel a bit more designed but it is a lot of packaging, particularly if you were getting two boxes per household. Sanpro products create a lot of waste as it is. Also, I don't have a period every month as a result of my contraception, so would end up with a huge stockpile of pads - it might not be useful to enough people, but the option for every other month deliveries would make me more likely to sign up.
  1. Would you recommend Pink Parcel/bettybox to a friend/family member?
I would - I might not go out of my way to bring it up though. Possibly more likely to recommend the bettybox - she wasn't very happy about having started her periods, and the parcel made her much more excited about it. She also liked the range of sizes that were included as samples - I'd order some more of those as she doesn't like the products that I use as much.
  1. Did you find you had too little, too much or just enough pads and tampons and how did you find the mix of tampon and pad products?
About right for the one month, though as above I'd end up with a lot. A bit more say in the balance between different types would be useful.
Lonecatwithkitten · 07/04/2018 21:48
  1. What did you think about receiving your pads and tampons directly to your door each month?
I like the idea as I often forget to shop in advance. My 14 year old DD loved the idea. But needs to be smaller box as did not fit through our perfectly standard modern letter box.
  1. Do you feel PinkParcel/bettybox is good value for money?
Both DD and I felt the price is a little steep.
  1. What one thing - if anything - would you change about the box/es?
Needs less packaging, there is too much cardboard.
  1. Would you recommend Pink Parcel/bettybox to a friend/family member?
At current price and make up no I would not.
  1. Did you find you had too little, too much or just enough pads and tampons and how did you find the mix of tampon and pad products?
There was not quite enough of anything. I would also prefer to be able more bespoke the choices of type of pads and sizes of tampon.
HoorayForHolidays · 08/04/2018 00:24
  1. What did you think about receiving your pads and tampons directly to your door each month?

Periods are a drag and both DD and I get hideous PMT. The boxes put a 'treaty' slant on them and made them almost something to look forward to. It was nice to have a supply of good quality san pro to hand.

  1. Do you feel PinkParcel/bettybox is good value for money?

The boxes are similar in price to monthly subscription boxes DD and I have had before. We're fans of a beauty box. We both liked the mix of products and would consider it good value.

  1. What one thing - if anything - would you change about the box/es?

Too much unnecessary packaging.

  1. Would you recommend Pink Parcel/bettybox to a friend/family member?

Yes.

  1. Did you find you had too little, too much or just enough pads and tampons and how did you find the mix of tampon and pad products?

I don't think we had quite enough. We both asked for a mix of pads and tampons but the boxes seemed a bit heavy on the pads.

As additional feedback, the boxes were nowhere near fitting through the letterbox and despite this, both boxes were a bit bashed on arrival, which somewhat detracted from the luxury feel of it. The serum was missing from DD's bettybox. The chocolate type products were disappointing. A box of lovely truffles or something would have gone down nicely. Also, if you were a regular subscriber, wouldn't you end up with dozens of the little cotton bags? Surely just one the first month would suffice?

We both really enjoyed trying the boxes out. Thank you for choosing us. Smile

HoorayForHolidays · 08/04/2018 00:33

Has MNHQ sent out the survey link for this yet? Worried I might have missed it.

Quietvoiceplease · 09/04/2018 07:43

1. What did you think about receiving your pads and tampons directly to your door each month?
I thought this was quite a fun idea. It did fit through my (regular size) letterbox and it is always fun to receive a sort of mysterious pamper box. My daughters were particularly excited to get theirs (owing to the confusion in postage arrangements they got to trial one each so that was good). I think they were probably more excited than I was as it made it feel a bit like a present.

2. Do you feel PinkParcel/bettybox is good value for money?
Probably. For me, I think it is unlikely that I would want to spend that much on myself. I use very little sanpro each month, (not a stealth boast...) and buy supermarket own brand so it is unlikely I could get through the amount sent each month. My daughters loved all their gifts and the small bag the pads came in, so that seemed better value.
3. What one thing - if anything - would you change about the box/es?
There's a lot of packaging. The whole box looked lovely, which is part of the appeal I think, but it felt wasteful. There was probably way too much sanpro in there for one month (based on our experience).
4. Would you recommend Pink Parcel/bettybox to a friend/family member?
I'd definitely recommend to friends for their daughters, particularly in the first year or two when their daughters are just getting to grips with their periods. There is something very nice about making it an excuse for a treat. I think for women, I'd possibly recommend. If you like the whole beauty box idea, can afford it, and want one that is slightly more practical, then I'd go for it.
5. Did you find you had too little, too much or just enough pads and tampons and how did you find the mix of tampon and pad products?
Too much tampons and pads, but the mix of both were really helpful.

Thank you for letting me test this product. I had never seen it before and am grateful for having the chance. One of the best things about it was the chance to feel like it was a 'treat' for my daughters - and that periods - rather than just being a hassle could actually be the excuse for some pampering. Thank you.

luanda111 · 09/04/2018 15:28
  1. What did you think about receiving your pads and tampons directly to your door each month?
Great idea, makes me feel important as a woman.
  1. Do you feel PinkParcel/bettybox is good value for money?
It is quite pricey, but high quality things always cost you more.
  1. What one thing - if anything - would you change about the box/es?
Bettybox is fine, but I would use lively colours and bolder letters on PinkParcel.
  1. Would you recommend Pink Parcel/bettybox to a friend/family member?
Yes, definitely. Bettybox subscription is a perfect gift for girls to celebrate their first period.
  1. Did you find you had too little, too much or just enough pads and tampons and how did you find the mix of tampon and pad products?
We both have quite light periods so there were more pads in the boxes like what we needed. But it is always useful to have 5-6 extras at home and in handbags.

  1. What did you think about receiving your pads and tampons directly to your door each month?
It's a nice idea, not having to think about it, and everyone likes to get post - but it's no bother to just get them from a shop honestly.
  1. Do you feel PinkParcel/bettybox is good value for money?
My reaction upon opening PinkParcel: flashback to the late 80s! Horrible grey/salmon pink colour scheme, pretty depressing. Bettybox - bright, cheerful, made us smile. Much more fun, we both preferred it. Thought the 'free sample' type gifts were a bit mean though - a few coconut thingies in one, grim teabags with no caffeine in them and although the Pink Parcel truffles were lovely, one of them was a very, very small misshape. Liked the pens - could have used more stationery and cute stuff. Liked the cloth bags.
  1. What one thing - if anything - would you change about the box/es?
"I'm feeling a little fragile today" sticker on the wrapper - ugh, cringe. And yep, didn't fit through the letterbox...hardly 'discreet' if that's what they're aiming for.
  1. Would you recommend Pink Parcel/bettybox to a friend/family member?
I would recommend Bettybox as it was cheerful, fun and a treat. (Not impressed with the spot squeezing torture implement and lurid lipstick though)
  1. Did you find you had too little, too much or just enough pads and tampons and how did you find the mix of tampon and pad products?
It was about right, but tbh we have loads in the bathroom cupboard anyway so not worried about running out.

Thanks for choosing us! We enjoyed this product test :)

  1. What did you think about receiving your pads and tampons directly to your door each month?
>> it's a good idea Unlike many testers, our boxes fit through the letterbox and wasn't battered at all.
  1. Do you feel PinkParcel/bettybox is good value for money?
>> No. Only because we didn't like/couldn't use all of the extras.
  1. What one thing - if anything - would you change about the box/es?
>> The Bettybox needs to have teen sized sanitary stuff as a choice. Pink Parcel needs Ultra tampons as a choice.
  1. Would you recommend Pink Parcel/bettybox to a friend/family member?
>> We enjoyed being a tester but no. Dd preferred the packaging of the Pink Parcel which looks much more better quality than the Bettybox. She can't have coconut and doesn't drink Chai latte but loved the lip plumping serum (the lipstick wasn't quite right but closer to what she's into)
  1. Did you find you had too little, too much or just enough pads and tampons and how did you find the mix of tampon and pad products?
>>Dd uses teen sanitary protection so gave me the adult sized stuff. Personally I use Lillets Ultra for the first 3 days which wasn't a choice. Quantity was too much for dd and too heavily skewed towards towels for me. I think that you should allow people to customise the number of each.
jaimelannistersgoldenhand · 10/04/2018 23:08

I don't think that artisan chocs are necessary. My dd would enjoy a bar of Dairy Milk more.

ICantFindAFreeNickName2 · 11/04/2018 09:51
  1. What did you think about receiving your pads and tampons directly to your door each month?
I have never found it a problem to buy stuff with my regular shopping. We mainly signed up as I thought there would be more choice of tampons / towels. My dd liked the wider range of products on sale in America and we hoped that these might be available to choose from. The parcels did not fit through our large letterbox, luckily we were in, otherwise its a pain, having to get stuff from the neighbours.
  1. Do you feel PinkParcel/bettybox is good value for money?
I don't but my daughter does, maybe because she's not the one having to earn the money !
  1. What one thing - if anything - would you change about the box/es?
Smaller (reduce the packaging) & remove the 'fragile' stickers.
  1. Would you recommend Pink Parcel/bettybox to a friend/family member?
Not really for adults, maybe for girls for their first couple of years, just to make periods a bit more fun whilst they get used to them. Although girls differ so much in age range (and interests) when they start their periods, I'm not sure how useful a lot of the products would be. I felt my dd's box was aimed at an older teen.
  1. Did you find you had too little, too much or just enough pads and tampons and how did you find the mix of tampon and pad products?
I felt there were not enough, especially liners, which I use with tampons. I would like more choice of towels / pads & to choose the split you want. I did like the sample organic pads my daughter got with the different sizes.

I did not like the little cotton pouch at all (prefer a zipped bag), my dd took my pink / grey one as she preferred it to the blue / yellow one that she got. We felt the pink box packaging was better than the Betty box packaging. I thought most of the items we received were nice and were brands we had not tried before. I hated the really bright red lipstick that I received, but my dd loved it. We have both already bought more of the Carmex lipbalm, as we found it really good. I will probably buy more of the lip plumper as well. DD also loved the Nip & Fab moisturiser. I think the drinks / snacks in the Betty box, were a bit too grown up for my dd, she would have preferred dairy milk chocolate and a hot chocolate sachet. She loved the pens, hair band, books and website.

Having tried this, I'm now tempted to try a beauty box subscription for us to share, as what we enjoyed most were the different beauty products.

Thanks for allowing us to take part in the trial, it was great fun.

Ok- quick added update.

Grin

As with before, the parcels were not addressed properly, so I assumed (wrongly) they were both for dd, but actually, one was the Betty Box ,and one was the Pink Box.

So- all good. Grin.

Initial feed back is that the idea seems good (but a bit over the top , and usually we just go to Wilko or Aldi and spend a couple of ÂŁ1's on pads and tampons). All the packaging is very pretty , but there is a lot of it. It would never fit through my letter box.

1. What did you think about receiving your pads and tampons directly to your door each month? It would be a bit extravagant really, as i shop regularly, and spend very little on sanitary products really.
2. Do you feel PinkParcel/bettybox is good value for money? As above really- I tend to buy own brand sanitary protection for dd1 and myself, all the extras are nice to have but unnecessary, and I couldn't afford to do it often. But the brands are obviously quality ones.
3. What one thing - if anything - would you change about the box/es? The size- never going to fit through a letter box, and defeats the object if you have to go to a post office to collect/ or annoy a neighbour.
4. Would you recommend Pink Parcel/bettybox to a friend/family member? Not sure really.
5. Did you find you had too little, too much or just enough pads and tampons and how did you find the mix of tampon and pad products? There was probably not quite enough for me, enough for dd1, but she is only 11. And periods can vary so much from one person to another it would be so hard to get right.

DD1 liked it most of though, was squeamish about the pimple popper (and would never use one), and said the towel bags were a bit too bulky. A smaller , zipper bag would be better. She has a tin she got free with a pack of always that she uses for school.
