This thread is for the 250 Mumsnetters who tested Lidl Lupilu Pull-Up Pants with their DCs.

The following items were tested:

Junior Smart Pants Size 5 for weights: 29-44lbs 13-20kg - 20 in a pack (RRP £2.09)
Junior Nappies Big / XL Smart Pants Size 6 for weights: 35+ lbs 16+ kg - 18 in a pack (RRP £2.09)

Here’s what Lidl have to say about the products: "Lidl knows the most important things when choosing a nappy are dryness, protection and comfort. That's why we ensure ultimate dryness and leakage protection with a super absorbent core. They're extra soft and flexible with a stretchy waistband. There is no need to pay a premium price for a premium nappy, our prices are low but our quality is high. Our nappies are dermatologically tested, latex free, skin-friendly and independently tested. Protecting the environment is also important, therefore the padding used is from sustainably managed forests. The slim design means less materials, less packaging and less energy, helping to minimize our carbon footprint."

Below are some questions we’d like you to answer, but feel free to add any other comments you may have.

  1. How old is your child who you tested the Lidl Lupilu Pull-Up Pants on, and which size did you use?
    Size 5 aged 2 years

  2. What was your overall impression of Lidl's Lupilu Pull-Up Pants? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?

Brilliant. Will be using these in the future. They are so easy to get on. Really soft. Have great elasticity so hug the body well without being too tight and prevent leaks. Great for potty training as they are easy for the kid to pull up and down them self. Really good value for money.

  1. Would you recommend the Lidl Lupilu Pull-Up Pants to a friend if they came up in conversation?

Absolutely!

  1. Would you buy Lidl Lupilu Pull-Up Pants again in the future? If so why?

Definitely. They fit so well and are a really good price. Could be a little more creative in the design/ appearance.

AveAtqueVale · 17/04/2018 19:39

I never got notified about this thread or sent the survey! I think.

  1. How old is your child who you tested the Lidl Lupilu Pull-Up Pants on, and which size did you use?

We had size 6+, DS is 3, nearly 4.

  1. What was your overall impression of Lidl's Lupilu Pull-Up Pants? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?

They were great - we only used them at night as he’s still not dry while sleeping. They were lovely and soft, fitted well, and seemed more absorbent than pampers which are the ones we normally buy.

  1. Would you recommend the Lidl Lupilu Pull-Up Pants to a friend if they came up in conversation?

Definitely.

  1. Would you buy Lidl Lupilu Pull-Up Pants again in the future? If so why?

Yes absolutely- assume they’re cheaper than pampers so will probably be making a trip to Lidl to stock up!

snowballsandsunshine · 17/04/2018 19:40

Mine never arrived. I got picked to be a tester and received an email from MN saying they'd been sent and never had them. Shame I was looking forward to testing.

SweetPeaPods · 17/04/2018 20:46

I’ve got them but still don’t know where to put feedback!

Physicallyandmentallyeffed · 17/04/2018 21:47

How old is your child who you tested the Lidl Lupilu Pull-Up Pants on, and which size did you use? My child is 2 and wore a size 5

  1. What was your overall impression of Lidl's Lupilu Pull-Up Pants? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them? They were super soft so I felt happy to put them on for bed time, they genuinely seemed better quality than the pampers we usually use and on the 1 morning that the nappy was wet my son was totally dry and there were no leaks.

  2. Would you recommend the Lidl Lupilu Pull-Up Pants to a friend if they came up in conversation?
    Yes definitely

  3. Would you buy Lidl Lupilu Pull-Up Pants again in the future? If so why? Yes I’ll be switching from Pampers to Lidl’s

TheCatFromOuterSpace · 21/04/2018 07:29

Is this the feedback thread for the most recent product test?

Age 4 and she tested size 5 for night time

  1. What was your overall impression of Lidl's Lupilu Pull-Up Pants? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?

Loved loved loved them. Super soft and absorbent.

  1. How old is your child who you tested the Lidl Lupilu Pull-Up Pants on, and which size did you use?
He is aged 4 and we tried the size 5 pull ups.

  2. What was your overall impression of Lidl's Lupilu Pull-Up Pants? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?
They are supersoft!! I loved the wide comfy waistband and they were quite slimline too - not too bulky. We only used them for nighttime but they were excellent - no changes needed!

  3. Would you recommend the Lidl Lupilu Pull-Up Pants to a friend if they came up in conversation?
    Certainly!

  4. Would you buy Lidl Lupilu Pull-Up Pants again in the future? If so why?
Yes I would - my son loved the 'wee line' and being able to see if he was dry or not. They are no doubt well priced if they are fron lidl too.

I haven't received the feedback email. I hope I've replied on the correct thread!

SunshinenSparkles · 26/04/2018 20:56

I think I might have been sent the wrong pull ups!

Ours were plain white with no design on them at all o.O this doesn't fit with other people's reviews.

I didn't like these pull-ups at all. They were very cheap looking, very bulky and looked full after one pee!

The only thing that I liked about them was that they were very soft feeling. While that's obviously a good factor, I'll stick to pampers because they are reliable.

Having said all that and having read other people's descriptions and reviews....I am 99% sure we received the wrong pull-up pants :/

SunshinenSparkles · 26/04/2018 20:57

I should also add that I never received the feedback email.

TheCatFromOuterSpace · 26/04/2018 21:39

Mine were plain white too.

TheCatFromOuterSpace · 26/04/2018 21:46

Still not sure if this is the right thread but I'm going to leave my feedback here before I forget what they were like.

  1. How old is your child who you tested the Lidl Lupilu Pull-Up Pants on, and which size did you use?

My child is 2 and tried size 6

  1. What was your overall impression of Lidl's Lupilu Pull-Up Pants? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?

Not overly impressed. They were plain white and a bit cheap looking. When ds wore them overnight his pyjamas smelled of wee in the morning so they must have leaked a tiny bit. On the plus side they felt nice and soft and were OK for daytime.

  1. Would you recommend the Lidl Lupilu Pull-Up Pants to a friend if they came up in conversation?

Probably not

  1. Would you buy Lidl Lupilu Pull-Up Pants again in the future? If so why?

No because they leaked overnight.

SunshinenSparkles · 26/04/2018 22:11

TheCat My son's pyjamas had a wee smell in the morning too. Looking at your review, I'm wondering if we were both sent the wrong ones lol everyone else's samples sound great!

TheCatFromOuterSpace · 27/04/2018 07:07

Sunshine I think most of the older reviews are from a different product test

SunshinenSparkles · 27/04/2018 11:34

Ahh so we're giving feedback in the wrong place then haha I guess we should wait for the feedback email to arrive x

FunkyBrownie · 27/04/2018 20:48
  1. How old is your child who you tested the Lidl Lupilu Pull-Up Pants on, and which size did you use? Nearly 4, and we had size 6. Previous posts are mentioning that some people had multiple styles - we only had one pack but we liked it so hope that’s the style they’re going with!

  2. What was your overall impression of Lidl's Lupilu Pull-Up Pants? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them? They’re lovely, stretchy and soft, and seemed to give a good seal. We didn’t have any leaks and he could happily pull them up and down repeatedly to go to the loo during the night. I liked that they had the sticky strip to wrap them up, but did find that 90% of the time the sticky strip actually pulled away from the nappy when pulled rather than away from itself.

  3. Would you recommend the Lidl Lupilu Pull-Up Pants to a friend if they came up in conversation? Yes - Lidl pants are usually good value for money and I’ll be keeping an eye out for these ones in store.

  4. Would you buy Lidl Lupilu Pull-Up Pants again in the future? If so why? Yes; they’re lovely and soft, flexible enough for my wriggly sleeper yet tight enough to stop leaks, and knowing they’re from Lidl means they’ll be good value for money.

mumsbe · 12/06/2018 15:46

How old is your child who you tested the Lidl Lupilu Pull-Up Pants on, and which size did you use? He is 5 and autistic so is delayed a couple of years

  1. What was your overall impression of Lidl's Lupilu Pull-Up Pants? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?
I liked the fact they were strong but very stretchy and felt almost like fabric pants

  2. Would you recommend the Lidl Lupilu Pull-Up Pants to a friend if they came up in conversation?
Yes and will be looking out for them in the future

  3. Would you buy Lidl Lupilu Pull-Up Pants again in the future? If so why?
yes because they are similar to proper pants and look very comfortable. No leaks either because they fit well around the legs and dont creep up the bum
