We’re looking for 70 Mumsnetters to test the Fellowes AeraMax DX55 Air Purifier (RRP £199.99).

Here’s what Fellowes have to say: “Studies indicate that indoor air can be up to 5 times more polluted than outdoor air. Combined with the fact that many people spend up to 90% of their time indoors, it starts to become clear why the quality of indoor air is so important. Environment Protection Agency

The Fellowes AeraMax™ Air Purifiers use a combination of the most effective filtration and cleaning methods as part of a 4-stage filtration process to remove 99.97% of airborne pollutants and particles down to 0.3 microns in size. This level of performance combined with a feature set and interface designed for any indoor environment, makes it the perfect clean air solution.”

If selected, you’ll need to test the Fellowes AeraMax DX55 Air Purifier for two weeks and give feedback by posting on a feedback thread as well as completing a short survey.

All those who give feedback will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher.

If you’re interested in taking part, please sign up here.

Thanks and good luck,

MNHQ

tobecontinued2000 · 17/01/2017 10:28

tobecontinued2000 · 17/01/2017 11:07

Is it couriered, my regular postie has been and sadly only had some ink cartridges for me Sad

Madcats · 17/01/2017 11:44

Just had an email to say mine is coming soon. I hadn't realised we could keep them Smile.

Thank you. Mumsnet, for cheering up our dry January.

Moogdroog · 17/01/2017 11:49

Just missed a FedEx delivery by 10 minutes. Boo!!

jellyshoeswithdiamonds · 17/01/2017 12:07

Mine has arrived (missed delivery it went to nbrs next door luckily).

Plugged in the lounge atm but will be in the bedroom with me tonight.

On low its ever so quiet, being noise sensitive that's brilliant news for me cos I'll be able to sleep with it on.

VeganCow · 17/01/2017 12:33

I have a missed parcel delivery to collect later, am hoping its this.
Wonder how much electricity they use?

GooodMythicalMorning · 17/01/2017 12:42

Woo mine has literally just turned up. Now to open it and remove all the plastic etc. Was there plastic on the filters or anything?

Not much apparently. I have a smart meters so will find out in a few mins.

GooodMythicalMorning · 17/01/2017 12:50

Looks like it doesn't use much, my smart meters didn't move after I switched it on.

NoMudNoLotus · 17/01/2017 14:37

Just got mine ...
How do we send them back ?

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 17/01/2017 14:43

You don't send them back, the email today said you get to keep them as long as you give the feedback and complete the survey

NoMudNoLotus · 17/01/2017 14:46

Yay Yay Superyay !

Thank you so much Mumsnet my husband suffers serious asthma ( so bad he's lost his smell & taste ).

This will be godsend for us with pollen, dust etc.

Am truly grateful Smile

NoMudNoLotus · 17/01/2017 14:46

Loopy thank you for that - my emails are down much appreciated.

Madcats · 17/01/2017 15:39

Forgot to mention that mine arrived by Fedex about 1 hour after my post this morning. I've had it on auto and it was obviously a bit busy in the dining room as the indicator was red for about 90 minutes. It isn't too noisy...it is going to tackle the bedrooms shortly in time for bed!

Theimpossiblegirl · 17/01/2017 15:39

Mine has been delivered today. Thanks so much Mumsnet and Fellowes, I'm really looking forward to using this.

Burntbum · 17/01/2017 15:55

Feeling left out! Mine isn't here yet Sad

tobecontinued2000 · 17/01/2017 16:17

Mine has arrived and it's on already.

I've got it in my living room and will be taking it up to my bedroom tonight.

tobecontinued2000 · 17/01/2017 16:21

Could someone clarify if we've to register the product and review it on their site or have we go do it on this only?

maddiemostmerry · 17/01/2017 16:24

tobe, not sure but I'd imagine on here.

Mine is in and on!

gleegeek · 17/01/2017 16:33

Thank you Mumsnet and Fellows. All arrived safely and plugged in - looking forward to seeing how effective it us! It's a bit noisier than I expected and is blowing cold air (is that right???), so it's out on the landing rather than in the bedroom while I get used to itWink

NoMudNoLotus · 17/01/2017 16:38

Had it an hour and a half and it's blown up Sad& fused the house.

VeganCow · 17/01/2017 17:34

Oh no NoMud do you mean tripped the switch or more serious?

Thank you Mumset and Fellowes for the chance to give this a go. Its here and switched on.

If you want to test it and see it removing pollutants, wait a few mins after first plugging it in, and spray a deodorant can a few inches to the side of the machine and you will see it turn red and kick into action Grin

tobecontinued2000 · 17/01/2017 17:46

Oh no mud, did it trip the main switch?

My husband sprayed deodorant in our downstairs loo which is on the other side of our house and it picked it up from our living room.

Sorry to hear what's happened to you Mud.

Supermagicsmile · 17/01/2017 17:58

That's fantastic! After reading mud's experience, my oh won't let me turn it on until dinner is cooked!
