Here is what they’ve got to say: "Night-time is a busy time for your baby – and those precious hours of Golden Sleepsleep aren’t just important for their mood, but development, too! 1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.
12 months size 4

2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?
They looked like Pampers!

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?
Yes - I've always found Pampers leaked before, but these haven't

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?
I wouldn't say it's very different to other nappies - I usually use supermarket ones which are very good

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?
No

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?
I quite liked them but assume that they would be twice the price of my usual nappies as Pampers usually are, so no, I wouldn't buy them as they'd be expensive

7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Maybe, but I don't think they're very different from other nappies

AuntieMaggie · 22/06/2016 21:30

They were less bulky in the morning that my usual brand

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.

13 month old baby girl - size 4 nappies

2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?

The new nappies are similar to the previous Pampers Baby-Dry I've used before but definitely noticed they are 'slimmer' and feel lighter.

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?

I would recommend them for a dry night's sleep due to nice high back on this nappy. The cut does seem to have improved on previous nappies.

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?
I think I would, yes.

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?

Definitely, previously nappies seem to have gather all the wetness in the front area and the sag has been considerable but these haven't had the same weight in that area in comparison!

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?
Yes I would

7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes - I've been impressed with these nice new nappies. Didn't disappoint. Thank you.

YesterdayTomorrowToday · 22/06/2016 21:40

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.
3.5 months, Size 3
2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?
Very good. They are very light and thin, not at all bulky. They are an improvement over the current Baby Dry as they do not have a chemical/ fake scent at all.

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?
Definitely. We put the nappy on my little one at 6:30pm for bedtime and we dont change the nappy all night until around 7:30am when they wake up. The nappy was completely dry to touch, no leaks at all and not too heavy or bulky. It also did not smell at all.
4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?
Yes. I was very surprised that the nappy was completely dry to touch after 13 hours.
5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one? Yes they are definitely less bulky and heavy than I would expect for a nappy left on for so long.
6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again? I would buy the new version for over night wear. As my baby is EBF, I prefer Pampers Premium Protection for day time as the little net on the surface seems to hold the liquid breastfed poo in completely. My baby doesn't poo at night and so I prefer the New Baby Dry for night time as they are so much lighter and thinner and seem to hold more liquid.
7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not? Yes I would. Completely dry to touch after an entire night and not a hint of pink or redness on my baby's bottom. I am very happy with the performance.

purpleporpoise · 22/06/2016 21:42

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one? No, it was still very bulky
6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again? Yes if they were no more expensive than other brands
7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not? Yes I would recommend but no more than other brands

slithytove · 22/06/2016 21:45

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.

21 months, size 5

2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?

Really good. Like the design, the thinness of them, and they are reasonably easy to put on

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?

Yes I would, there were no issues whatsoever with dryness. If I had a complaint it would be that I could smell the wee more strongly than usual.

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?

I wouldn't say they are any better than other brands I use for dryness. They are however much thinner and probably more pleasant to wear.

No

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again? Most definitely
7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not? I would definitely recommend as I have been using Baby dry since birth and had not any issues with them.

fruttidibosco · 22/06/2016 23:24

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.
18 months/size 5
2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?
First thing I noticed is they seemed much more slimline than the previous Pampers Baby-Dry (we have always used Baby-Drys for nighttime). They seemed just as absorbent as the previous incarnation but definitely less bulky in the morning so I would imagine they are more comfortable for little one. No redness or rashes.

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why? Yes, for all of the above reasons. We used other brands with our first born that leaked before we discovered Pampers Baby-Dry and never looked back. Have never had one leak and these seem just as effective as before but less bulky in the morning.
4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?
Yes
5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?
Yes as above
6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?
Definitely. We actually use Pampers Baby-Dry in the day as well as little one has suffered from quite bad nappy rash before and the absorbency of these means that his skin does not get irritated.
7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, for all of the positive reason I have stated above.

xalyssx · 22/06/2016 23:53

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.
Age 2 size 5
2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?
They were nappies. The blue bit inside smelt funny but they were functional.
3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?
If I had a friend whose baby leaked overnight, then I might recommend them.
4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?
No, they are equally good as other nappies of similar type
5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?
No
6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?
Unlikely
7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
No because they smell funny, but other nappies with blue bits inside smell funny too

Many thanks to Mumsnet / Pampers for the invitation to participate in this product trial. My responses to the questions are as follows:-

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.
Age 1 year and 4 months. I received a Size 5.
2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Pretty good. Seems an improvement from last time.
3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why? Based on the trial, I would say, "Yes". These were an improvement as previous use of Pampers nappies has seen leakage.
4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep? Based on the trial, I would say, "Yes".
5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one? Once again, based on the trial, I would say, "Yes".
6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again? I probably would, as long as they remain effective. However, in comparison to other similar products, these nappies are not competitively priced - a reduction in the R.R.P. is needed. (At the moment, it's only when they are on special offer that we are prompted to go for them)
7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not? Once again, I probably would, since they have been effective. However, they are expensive compared to many other similar, and as effective, products - i.e. Sainsbury's Little Ones.

StillNoFuckingEyeDeer · 23/06/2016 06:07

2 years old, size 5.
2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?
Good quality. Soft, not bulky. Good fit.
3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?
Yes. They have the capacity to absorb a large volume of wee without feeling wet to the touch and without sagging.
4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?
Of the nappies I've tried, yes.
5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?
I'm not sure. They did feel less bulky, but I wouldn't be able to say why.
6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?
Yes.
7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents?
Yes.
If so, why? If not, why not?
They're a great fit, seem comfortable, very absorbent and we didn't experience any problems.

ImBrian · 23/06/2016 07:41

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.
19 month old boy, size 5
2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?
Very absorbent, I ran out of bed time pants for my 4 year old and used one of these and it didn't leak. They seem slimmer then my usual brand (asda own).
3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?
Yes my son didn't have any leaks and neither did my 4 year old when she had to wear one.
4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?
they were the same as my normal ones with my toddler but the normal nappies would never stay dry on my 4 year old all night.
5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one? Yes it didn't seem quite as fat.
6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again? Probably not, I buy aldi or asda own as they're cheap and the difference is tiny.
7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, they're a good nappy but you can get similar for cheaper/better deals.

DrunkDori · 23/06/2016 07:42

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.

9 months, size 4.

2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?

The nappies appear to be well made and of a good quality. The material inside felt softer than some brands I've used.

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?

I would say that pampers baby-dry offer about the same level of coverage that other, supermarket brands do. The nappies have never leaked but they are quite full and sodden in the morning. My baby doesn't feed in the night anymore either.

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?

I prefer a supermarket brand that I buy as they absorb the liquid slightly better.

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?

No.

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?

Probably not.

7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would recommend the supermarket brand instead as they are more effective and cheaper.

TheMasterBaker · 23/06/2016 07:52

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.
*My LO is 9 months and we are using and received, size 3 nappies.

2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?
*On receiving and opening them I thought they were rather thin so probably wouldn't be able to hold their own against my 9 month old. They actually surprised me how well they held and we had no leakages. They did leave his skin dry even after 10 hours in bed. I did think they looked rather bulky after that time, which is to be expected, but they looked like they were going to 'explode' which I don't tend to find with my normal brand.

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?
*They held up under my little boy having 10-11 hours sleep. He wriggles a lot in his sleep and tends to wee a lot too!

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?
*Yes, they're so thin on first wearing that they appear comfortable for baby while they're falling asleep. They hold the wee (and poo) in well and didn't come undone or leave any dampness in his suit like my normal brand sometimes do. His skin hasn't looked sore in mornings either as the wee is kept away from his skin.

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?
*I don't know if it's because he's a boy, but I did notice that more wee seemed to collect at the front and not brilliantly distributed but I've come to think this is purely just a boy thing as I never had that issue with my girls.

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?
*Yes I would. I had negative experiences with my daughters years ago and was slightly put off by the Pampers brand but these nappies have shown me how much more advanced the product has become.

7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

  • Yes I would as I have a very wriggly and frequently wet baby so if they can handle him, they should be able to handle any baby!
DoubleMammy · 23/06/2016 07:53

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received. 4 months, size 3
2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? I liked how thin they are. They felt a bit stiff/scratchy on the outside, but the inside was very soft.
3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why? No, my son rarely wakes in the night, but woke most nights needing changed since we started using these.
4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep? No, see above.
5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one? No, the nappies were still bulky when wet.
6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again? Only if there was a really good offer on.
7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not? I don’t think they are any better than the Aldi Mamia we usually buy, yet they are much more expensive.

RueDeWakening · 23/06/2016 09:08

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.
Age 3, size 5.

2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?
Good - we use pampers anyway and tbh I didn't notice much difference from our normal ones.

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?
Yes, we've never had a leak and I find them reliable, and not toooo expensive since I always get them on 2 for £xx deals.

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?
I think so, we swapped to pampers after having leak issues and have never had them with the baby dry ones.

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?
I did! The first night DS wore one I thought he hasn't drunk enough the previous day as it seemed much less bulky than normal.

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?
Yes.

7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would - for all the reasons above. Good quality nappy, no leaks, not too bulky.

Loulabellet78 · 23/06/2016 09:22

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received. My little boy is 2 and we received size 5.
2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? I thought they were great - kept him dry for hours and were soft and flexible so fitted really nicely.
3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why? Definitely. My little boy doesn't sleep through the night. He still doesn't with Pampers but he has stayed in his own bed for a whole night, which is close to miraculous!
4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep? Yes.
5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one? Yes, his nappy was more evenly filled in the morning, so more comfortable for him to wear.
6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again? Yes, but they would need to compete price-wise with supermarket own brands.
7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not? Yes - because my little boy sleeps better with them.

Yes. We've had no leaks at all, and no sign of nappy rash.

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?

They seem to be very good. No idea if they are the best!

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?

Yes. Still very bulky after a long night, but definitely more spread out, rather than all at the front.

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?

Yes, but only if they were on offer.

7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes. As I've mentioned we've had no leaks, wee or poo, and we've had some mega daytime poos that have been completely contained.

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.
17 months, size 4
2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?
Generally good. Very slimline for such an absorbent nappy and don't smell as bad as some others when very wet. Soft too.
3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?
Yes, but not noticeably better than my usual supermarket own brand
4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?
No - they're good, but I didn't notice a significant difference from my usual nappies which are much cheaper
5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?
Yes, it was less bulky
6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?
Only if they were on a good offer
7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Probably not, as I didn't think they were so much better to justify the price tag

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received. 12 months, and size 4
2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? They seemed very lightweight which is great but they were also quite small. Ideally we would have got a size 5 dispite being in size 4 in other nappies as she is only 10kg.
3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?
Yes despite seeming very lightweight they were very absorbant and lasted a good 12 hours and could probably have done more.
4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep? Not necessarily the best no. We are still perfectly happy with aldi nappies.
5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one? Yes although she is quite wet at night so slightly difficult to notice that fully.
6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again? If I was completely out of nappies and that was all there was.
7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not? Yes as they are a good nappy and many parents I know are happy to fork out for pampers. However I would also recommend the cheaper brand that we currently use. I would mention that the sizing for us is slightly out and that she needed the next size up ideally although well within the range on the packet.

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.

3 month old twins, size 3.

2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?

Very thin, light, good quality nappy.

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?

Yes. They do what they say on the tin.

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?

I haven't tried all the nappies out there, but these were excellent.

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?

Yes - the wetness seemed spread evenly throughout the nappy rather than just where they wee.

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?

We have already.

7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Definitely. You might pay less for other nappies but I think you would be changing them more frequently so it would be a false economy.

Summary: these nappies are the driest we've tried, but most importantly, they seem to hold the most wee. This is brilliant, because it means our twins sleep better, (they last for dead-on 12 hours, so no night changes unless they poo) and we find ourselves changing nappies less often than with other brands, with no nappy rash or discomfort for the babies at all. Great value for money on this basis. They are also very thin, and I think this is an additional factor in how comfy the babies are in them.
