This thread is for the 500 MNers who've been trying out baby-dry New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies with their baby. Below are some questions to get you started but please feel free to add other comments too!

Here is what they’ve got to say: "Night-time is a busy time for your baby – and those precious hours of Golden Sleepsleep aren’t just important for their mood, but development, too! With experts believing that wetness may impact your little one’s sleep, their overnight nappy needs to work as hard as possible; introducing New Pampers Baby-Dry with 3 Absorbing Channels! Pampers are launching an upgrade to UK parents’ #1 nappy choice: New Pampers Baby-Dry feature a revolutionary nappy design with 3 Absorbing Channels, that distribute wetness more evenly, and Micro Pearls™ that lock it away. For up to 12 hours of Golden Sleep and less wet bulk in the morning! Pampers Baby-Dry have also been proven to be up to 2x drier than ordinary nappies; so, with babies waking up as dry in the morning as the night before you’ll be left asking 'where did the pee go?'"

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.
16 months / size 5
2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?
Positive: comparable to my usual brand (Aldi)
3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?
Yes - if anything, there were fewer overnight leaks than with Aldi
4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?
Yes
5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?
No, they still seemed full and heavy.
6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?
If they were not much more expensive than Aldi
7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Possibly, but all babies seem to be different so my experience might not apply to them

Hopelass · 21/06/2016 15:34

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.

2.7yo size 5
2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?

Better than the old ones!

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?

Yes they did keep my toddler dry overnight.

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?

I prefer aldi Mamia because they keep my child just as dry and are a lot cheaper.

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?

Not particularly no.

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?

Maybe if they were on offer.

7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would be more likely to recommend Aldi Mamia.

MiddleClassProblem · 21/06/2016 15:35

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.
17 months, size 4

2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?
Personally I am comparing them to Aldi Mamia. Pampers felt like a higher quality product, more of a cotton feel vs synthetic. It was more absorbant for wee but there was less give for a number 2. I also prefer the Aldi front and back cartoon design. My mum loves far away but when she babysits she has loved this feature as she's not confident with a nappy change and it's much clearer which way the nappy goes for someone not used to it so pampers are missing a trick there (not a big not though). I would consider using them exclusively overnight and Aldi during the day

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?
Yes, they seemed to be more absorbant and we had not leaks

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?
Yes, but DD didn't not seem to have a preference

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?
DD didn't seem to notice but the nappy did seem less bulky and dryer

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?

Possibly, but the price would need to be similar to Mamia. As stated before, could be just used for night time but as DD was unaffected by the change then we would continue with the cheaper option

7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would mention them but along side Mamia and only to someone who seemed to spend more rather than be thrifty

Madz1982 · 21/06/2016 15:35

1.Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.

My child is 2 years 2 months and received size 5 nappies

2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?

Impressed - we only used them at night and my little boy normally is wet after a 11-12 hour sleep but he stayed dry 8/10 times.

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?

Yes my boy mostly stayed dry in these. They can hold a lot of fluid before they leak.

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?

I always use pampers for bedtimes and will buy baby dry in future

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?
Not really although he wasn't as damp on his clothes.

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?

Yes

7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I would recommend them.

B3ckiRainbow · 21/06/2016 15:35

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.

18 months size 5

2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?

They are really realiable. Much better than the supermarket brand ones I've been using.

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?

Yes I would, they really do keep the wee away from the skin. My baby slept much better.

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?

It is definitely the best I have tried so far.

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?

Yes, she would generally mess about with the huge lump that develops, she didn't seem so distracted when wearing these. It's definitely a small lump in the morning.

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?

Yes.

7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

I will definitely mention and recommend these to my mum friends.

mimmymouse · 21/06/2016 15:38

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.
14 weeks old, size 3 nappies

2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?
Overnight - outstanding. Baby sleeps up to 12hrs and they don't leak!
Daytime - they leak poo terribly.

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?
Absolutely recommend for overnight. Dry bottom even 12hrs later. Great.

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?
Indeed. Very dry.

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?
Yes

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?
I will, but will possibly use a different nappy during the day.

7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, I would but would mention poo leak.

StickChildNumberTwo · 21/06/2016 15:43

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.
7 months, size 4

2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?
Did the job fine, weren't noticeably better than any others I've tried.

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?
Yes, they did the job fine.

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?
We've had no leaks (of wee - poo is a different story but if anyone finds a disposable that contains it all I'd love to hear from them), but then we don't usually get leaks from any other brands we've tried either.

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?
No - I wasn't aware of this so wasn't looking, but I haven't noticed any difference. I'll have to check and see.

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?
At the right price yes, but given Pampers are usually twice the price of others that seems unlikely.

7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
I certainly wouldn't put anyone off buying them, and might suggest them if they were having issues keeping dry at night, but the price wouldn't make them my first suggestion.

lindsbren · 21/06/2016 15:43

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.
15 months, size 5
2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?
Slim and light weight.
3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?
Probably, but I didn't find them any better than the Pampers active fit that we generally use.
4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?
Baby seemed mostly dry (we had a couple of leaks, but normally do anyway as she moves around so much), but I find the active fit just as good and probably a better fit.
5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?
They did seem less bulky in the morning.
6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?
I will probably continue with the active fit as I think they are a better fit and seem just as dry. I would buy them if the active fit are not available.
7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would, but I would probably recommend the active fit first.

Pumpkinmoon · 21/06/2016 15:47

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.

10 weeks Size 3

2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?
Very thin and soft. Non bulky. Hard to tell the front from the back when trying to out on in the dark or in a hurry. I also didn't like how it felt "damp" through the nappy at times.

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?
Yes, I used the whole pack and only encountered 1 leak.

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?
I haven't tried other brands as I use real nappies mostly.

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?
No, the nappy in the morning was huge at the front (boy) I could clearly see the channels in the front puffed up.

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again? No.

7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
No, I didn't love them enough.

Ineffective compared to the brands we usually use

No, ds2 woke up with his vest/pjs wet more often than not

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?

No, ds2 has got nappy rash

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?

No

7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.
Age 2 size 4 (as per the weight range)

2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?
They seemed very small despite her being well within the weight range.

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?
No, the kept bunching up at the front and folding down, they also seem to distribute the urine unevenly, the front was bulging in the morning.

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?
No, as per previous comment.

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?
No, the opposite in fact.

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?
No.

7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
No, as per comments, the fit was poor and the liquid does not distribute evenly.

Intotheclouds · 21/06/2016 15:52

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.
2 years and size 5

2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?
Overall I was quite happy with the nappies. The only thing I don't like is the out side of the nappy feels wet when the nappy is full of urine.

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?
I'm not sure I would do the wet feeling.

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?
No I prefer Assad little angels

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?
Yes I did notice this and that it didn't bulk up when full.
6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?
No I don't think I would.
7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Not sure as I like the three channels but not the wet feeling.

Great, have confidence in the product

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?
Very rare to have a leaky nappy, and even then it's possibly down to the way it was put on!

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?
Aldi's are good too (sorry!)

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?
Not obviously but now you say it, yes!

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?
Yes

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.
Little one is 16 months old and we received size 4 nappies.

2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?
They were good for bed time. Found they were less bulky when she woke up. Didn't seem to absorb poo very well in the day time and did have a couple of leaks.
3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?
Apart from the nappy been less bulky I didn't notice much difference to other nappies such as mamia. Depending on price I would recommend. But would also recommend mamia too.

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?
They were good but as I said above there wasn't much difference to other brands.

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?
I don't think my little one was bothered too much but I could see they were less bulky.

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?
Would depend on the price.

7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would. Along side with other brands too.

Yes, probably
5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?

Yes

2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?
They were a nice fit, soft and comfortable.

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?
Yes, because they were comfortable for baby

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?
We did have a leak one night but I think it was more due to positioning as sometimes my little girl can be very wriggly! Other than that, yes, they were very good for a dry night's sleep

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?
Yes, they definitely seemed less bulky than our usual nappy in the morning

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?
Yes, if they were on offer

7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Size 5 nappies, my son is 18 months old.
2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?
Very impressed, thin, absorbant and soft.
3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?
Yes! My son slept happily in his nappy for over 12 hours each night, I was amazed that his nappy wasn't as bulky as normal in the morning.
4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?
It certainly is the most absorbant nappy I have found.
5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?
Yes I did. His nappy is usually really heavy and full in the morning, these nappies seemed to be nowhere near as bulky.
6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again? Absolutely. In fact I already have!
7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?
Positive, although not as wide as another brand I use

Yes, because they really do keep his bum dry ☺️ And no leaks
4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?
I will only use pampers for bedtime, the only brand I've found to last as long and not leak
5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?
Certainly less bulky
6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.
21 months, size 4

2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?
I'm very very impressed. I have used pampers baby dry for both my children. I can see the improvement on this new formula. It's lighter and thinner than the old one.

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?
Definitely. I found pampers better than the supermarket own brands, and baby dry is very good at keeping baby's bum dry. The new formula is noticeably better than the old one.

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?
Yes. But I use it in day time too! It's best anytime of the day really.

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?
Yes. It's noticeably less bulky in the morning.

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?
I can't wait for it to appear in my local supermarket. I only saw the old formula last time I was there.

7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Definitely will. I trust pampers.

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.

16 months, size 5

2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?

They are okay...wouldn't be my first preference.

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?

Not particularly; it's not something we've had a problem with in any brand of nappy.

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?

Nope. As above.

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?

No.

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?

Maybe if heavily reduced or limited choice.

7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Not really. We find Sainsbury's Little Ones the absolute best brands of nappy & they Halen to be quite a lot cheaper. We had our first poo-up-the-back incident for months this morning in one of the Pampers I was debt to test. Little Ones have an elasticated section at the back which prevents this.

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.
21 months, size 4

2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?
Good but not great. Very thin before they get wet, but saggy after.

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?
Probably not.

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?
No, my usual ones, Tesco Ultra Dry, do better

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?
No, the wetness was mainly in the front. It made that part of the nappy quite bulky.

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?
No, I don't think so.

7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
No, because of the sagging and because cheaper nappies do better.

MillseyC · 21/06/2016 16:07

Child: age 2 size 5 nappies

2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?
I was really impressed with with the new pampers baby dry, they for nicely with lots of give for movement.

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?
I would definately recommend baby dry for a nights sleep. My daughter sleeps for around 12 hours a night and we never had even a slight leak. Her sleep was uninterrupted. With other nappies I have used she has woken up wet and sore but not with pampers baby-dry👍

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?
They are best for a dry nights sleep, I don't care what anyone else says(including the adverts!) they are so much better than A*di's nappies- I have tried them amoungst other own brands and pampers always wins!

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?
I did notice this benefit, when she woke in the morning she didn't have a big dangling nappy between her legs!😂

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?
Yes!

7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would recommend them, mainly due to the dry nights but also because when we had a number 2 the nappy didn't exploded out the sides....even when having a massive tantrum and slamming her bottom (with a full nappy) on the floor. Much to my amazement I didn't have a poo explosion!

Yes, my biggest criticism of the old baby dry is they sagged in the bum after just a tiny wee but these were less saggy even in the morning.
