This thread is for the 500 MNers who've been trying out baby-dry New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies with their baby. Below are some questions to get you started but please feel free to add other comments too!

Here is what they’ve got to say: "Night-time is a busy time for your baby – and those precious hours of Golden Sleepsleep aren’t just important for their mood, but development, too! With experts believing that wetness may impact your little one’s sleep, their overnight nappy needs to work as hard as possible; introducing New Pampers Baby-Dry with 3 Absorbing Channels! Pampers are launching an upgrade to UK parents’ #1 nappy choice: New Pampers Baby-Dry feature a revolutionary nappy design with 3 Absorbing Channels, that distribute wetness more evenly, and Micro Pearls™ that lock it away. For up to 12 hours of Golden Sleep and less wet bulk in the morning! Pampers Baby-Dry have also been proven to be up to 2x drier than ordinary nappies; so, with babies waking up as dry in the morning as the night before you’ll be left asking 'where did the pee go?'"

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.

22 months, size 5.

2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?

Chemical smell, seemed to have quite short tabs and not as much bum coverage as other nappies.

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?

Yes, as long as child only wee'd.

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?

Not really. DS stays dry enough in other nappies.

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?

Yes, they did absorb wee well.

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?

No. We had far too many escaping poos (out sides / down legs) to buy them.

7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

No. Too much poo leakage which never happens with Asda nappies.

  1. Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.
18 months, size 5.
  1. What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?
Okay. Did the job well enough but nothing remarkable in comparison to our usual brand
  1. Would you recommend New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?
Yes. DD wore hers on average from 6:45 - 7:30ish and felt a little damp upon waking but no actual leaks. Not bad and the thin nappy seemed more comfortable for sleep.
  1. New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?

Didn't notice a huge difference from our normal brand

  1. Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?
No I don't think so. Would use them again but wouldn't pay extra as apart from the less bulky nappy I can't see any noticeable difference.
  1. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

No, again nothing stands out from most others brands. Also quite a snug fit compared to other nappies and my DD is a very dainty little thing!

AddictedToRadley · 21/06/2016 22:41

1

Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.
16 month old girl, size 4 nappy.

2

What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?
Fantastic! You can tell they're pampers with the design and colouring so that's reassuring. They were much slimmer and thinner than the Pampers Baby-Dry I had been using (and actually used alternate nappy changed so I could get a better comparison from old to new)

3

Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?
Yes. My daughter has always been dry at night with any brand of nappy as she's not an excessive wetter. This has afforded me the luxury of buying whatever nappy was the best price wise at the time of shopping so I'd often switch brand every purchase. However, these are the only nappy that has kept my daughter's bottom dry. I never thought it was possible for a baby to have bone dry skin after wearing a nappy all night but the new baby-dry's have proved me wrong and I am delighted! My daughter's bottom was dry and her nappy rash cleared completely within two consecutive nights in the new nappy and showed dramatic improvement after the first night!

4

Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?
All of the nappies have kept my daughter dry all night but these keep her bottom dry as well so they're hands down the best!

5

New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?
I didn't notice a big enough improvement to notice this but then again my daughter's is not a big wetter. However, after being asked the question and thinking back then, yes, I can confirm that the bulk seemed more evenly spaced as previous nappies have always had a huge dry section at the back of them.

6

Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?
Definitely! I will be actively looking for the new Baby-Dry nappies and as long as they're the same price (with offers etc) as the current Baby-Dry then I would buy them without hesitation. Heck, I would even pay a little more for them....but not too much, let's not get carried away now! Lol

7

If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would definitely recommend them. I would expressly tell them to watch out for the new style as opposed to the old ones (shame they're not easily identifiable as the new version with a 'New' sticker on them or new name perhaps).

chibsortig · 22/06/2016 06:21

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.

Aged 2 size 5

2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?

They were slimmer than my usual brand of nappies and smaller, lots of pattern on them too.

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?

Not really no my LO wasnt any drier in pampers Baby dry.

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?

No my LO woke more for changing.

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?

They seemed as bulky as other brands if anything they seemed to burst making for messy changes.

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?

No

7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

They dont fit well, they seem awkward to put on properly so they seem to leak, they burst so imo no good for nighttimes (my LO didnt drink more than usual) Not as good as other pampers nappies on the market. We had more wakeful nights for nappy changes I am exhausted he woke at 5am today :(

GardeningWithDynamite · 22/06/2016 06:35

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.
24 months (boy) - size 5.

2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?
They were thinner than I was expecting, but also quite wide fitting between the legs.

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?
Yes - I thought they were better than expected. They didn’t smell too bad - even first thing in the morning.
I’ve used Pampers before on previous child but we tend to use Aldi nappies for DS as they fit him quite well.

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?
Yes - I’d definitely recommend them for overnights.

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?
Yes. They were less bulky but still quite wide between the legs. We used them at all times of the day and I thought they performed best at night.

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?
Yes - probably only use them at night though. They are more expensive than our ordinary nappies and I think a narrower one would be more comfortable during the day.

7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes. The only slight problem we found was that if you drop a wet nappy it can split and spread gel crystals and fluff everywhere. It was quite difficult to clean up. We don’t have that problem with the nappies we use normally.

niknoo88 · 22/06/2016 07:02

It helped spread the nappy rash yes
6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?
No
7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

cuntinghomicidalcardigan · 22/06/2016 07:08

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?
Yes - for daytime use.

7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, for daytime use. Like that they didn't sag down to his knees as much, even when quite wet.

ninjaturtlesmum · 22/06/2016 07:12
  1. Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received - 15 months size 4.
2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? - I thought they had a cute design and they are lighter in weight, less bulky and more flexible than our usual shop brand nappies. 3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why? Yes, the nappies lasted all night, no leaks. 4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep? I think they are just as good as store brand as I have had no leaks from them either. 5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one? I actually didn't notice this but my little girl wees a lot. I guess as they are less bulky in the first place their may have been a bit less bulk. 6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again? Yes 7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not? Yes I would. I like the lightweight feel and their flexibility.
zarinebedford · 22/06/2016 08:27

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.

13 months, size 5

2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?

Good quality, pretty designs, but started to smell foul after only a couple hours use!

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?

No. I wouldn't recommend as not as long lasting as the Boots nappies, no where near, and give out a foul smell once soiled with urine.

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?

No. It's not even good enough for the day, it did not work for my baby who sleeps a 11-12 hour night.

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?

The nappy was extremely bulky! Awful compared to the Boots nappy.

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?

No.

7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

No. I would not recommend because although they look cute, they do not perform, and there are a couple brands like boots which are cheaper but actually far better nappies all round!

dwarshawer · 22/06/2016 08:30

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.- 2 Years- Size 5
2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? They were fine- similar to other Pampers nappies at first glance
3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why? They worked overnight in terms of keeping my baby dry so yes I would
4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep? I don't think it was that different from the Active Fit range in terms of dryness so really either or
5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one? Not particularly, again similar to Active Fit
6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?
7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not? I would do but again as mentioned above, either this range or Active Fit are fine.

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one? Yes. She slept better and for long the nights she wore them.

Solasum · 22/06/2016 09:49
  1. 2 years size 5
  2. I don't see the point of pictures on nappies. Notably less of a chemical smell than old baby dry.
  3. Yes. No leaks at all, and DS is a very active sleeper
  4. We also use baby dry pants, which are very comfortable and flexible. Think they have the edge.
  5. The three channels is a massive improvement on the old design. Seems much more comfortable, and stays wearable for longer
  6. Yes
  7. Yes, they are very reliable
lillyfer · 22/06/2016 10:19

1 15 months, size 4
2 Very good no leaks, a good fit and kept my daughter dry.
3 Yes i would recommend these for a dry night, they are highly absorbant, last through the night with no leaks despite my daughter moving a lot.
4 They perform very well but im not convinced they are worth paying more for. I have used store brands that perform as well at a better price.
5 Yes the nappy was not bulky
6 I would buy them when they are on promotion
7 Possibly though there are several brand would recommend equally

WhingyNinja · 22/06/2016 10:31

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.
9 months, size 4

2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?
Very good, much less bulk than other nappies when worn for 12 hours overnight

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?
Yes, I feel comfortable letting my baby sleep through wearing one and know she won't leak

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?
I have only ever used pampers and won't be moving away from these nappies

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?
Definitely, I was confused to begin with and thought she was perhaps dehydrated then realised the nappy was just working harder!

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?
Yes, at a reasonable price

7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, they do the job they set out to do, not bulky, no leaks, pretty pattern, perfect!

adagio · 22/06/2016 10:42

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.
4 months, size 3
2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?
Looked nice, not bulky, soft feel and good initial fit but a little bit chemically smelling
3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?
They kept her skin dry, but the first night wee came straight out from somewhere and all over my leg when she was on her side fighting to be latched on - which wasn't good! didn't happen again though but i think she normally only sees when lying down not in my arms. Overall the swiftness and lack of bulk would trend me towards recommending despite this slightly poor experience.
4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?
on a par with others i have tried, but i thinks a bit less bulky
5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?
a bit, mainly in the daytime when sat up/rolling around- less so in the night as she sleeps on her front.
6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?
yes, but might go back to pampers 'new baby' for a bit longer (EBF poos seem better caught in the new baby ones than baby dry - came out the top back of this baby dry one)
7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
yes for softness, but would probably caution to try lots of different ones as different brands fit and perform differently

spagbollocks · 22/06/2016 11:27

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.
12 months, size 4

2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?
Good fit but get very bulgy when wet compared to our usual nappies.

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?
No, the first night he wore them DS soaked through

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?
No, as above. Aldi's Mamia nappies (the brand we normally buy) do a better job than these

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?
No, they get far more bulgy when wet than other brands we've used

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?
No

7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
No. We experienced leaks with them. The nappies we normally buy are cheaper and do a better job IMO

2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?
Was actually very impressed. Have not used Pampers since he was a newborn and I only bought one pack as I was so disappointed with them. These are much better than they used to be.
3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?
Yes - my DS is a good sleeper and will sleep for up to 14 hours a night. These did not leak once.
4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?
They're no better than Asda Little Angels which is the brand I use to be honest.
5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?
Can't say I noticed
6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?
Only if they were on special offer as Asda brand nappies are cheaper and do the same job.
7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes I would as they do look more comfortable to wear - they are more flexible and thinner than other brands I have tried.

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?
Yes definitely
7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes I would. I found them good for night times

Spearsy88 · 22/06/2016 11:45

My son is 9 months old and he wore a size 4 nappy.

I didnt like the design as much as other Pampers nappies, and the tabs on the side seemed thinner? I wasnt sure if i was imagining it so tried other Pampers in the same size to check and Im sure they are.

The first two nights of trying the nappies my son woke up soaked through, but he had also pooped which seemed to weigh the nappy down causing him to leak through the leg holes. On subsequent nights, where he just had a wet nappy he was perfectly dry.

I cant honesty say Pampers baby dry are the best for a dry nights sleep, only when he had a purely wet nappy and who can guess that in advance?

Spearsy88 · 22/06/2016 11:48

...(part 2)

There was less bulk when my son had a wet nappy

I probably wouldnt buy these nappies again

I wouldnt go out of my way to dissuade people from buying them but much prefer the usual Pampers premium nappies and would recommend those over the baby dry

sorry for the two parts its the first time I have posted anything! Blush

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.
My son is 21 months and I received nappy size 5

2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?
My overall impression was a good one. I personally think they are a good nappy.

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?
Yes I would. My son can sometimes wake through night for milk and each time I checked he was dry and was still dry in the mornings of the nights he didn't wake. He could sleep 12/13 hours without a change and no leaks.

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?
I would say so yes.

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?
There were no leaks so there must have been something working.

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?
If the price was right yes I would buy them again.

7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes I would as I cannot fault them so far. Again as long as price was right as Tesco/asda own brand nappies are fabulous also.

Tftpoo · 22/06/2016 12:22

Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.

11 weeks, size 3

2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?

They did the job well and kept DD dry. I liked how thin they were but I didn't like the smell - they smelt strongly chemically whilst the usual nappies we use don't smell too strong.

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?

No more than I would recommend any other nappies that I use. Pampers were no better or worse than Tesco, Aldi or Waitrose (which are the other brands I use most often).

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?

No. No better or worse than any of the others.

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?

No

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?

No

7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

No, there are cheaper alternatives which are just as good in my opinion.

  2. Generally good, fit well although felt a little more snug than equivalent size in the new baby range.
3.yes baby slept comfortably and was dry in the morning with no need to change.
  1. Yes I would, I've tried other nappies and pampers are always performing
  2. I much prefer the channel feature it looked a lot comfier. In general I felt the nappies were a bit less bulky anyway.
  3. Yes definitely and would look out for the new version.
  4. Yes in fact I already have! I genuinely find them better than other brands including big ones. Some may be cheaper but that tends to be a messy false economy!
