We're looking for Mumsnetters from a range of locations to try the service from Deliveroo - the food delivery service from local restaurants. If selected, you’d need to sign up to Deliveroo, and your account would be credited with £40 which you can use to test it out.

We’re looking for Mumsnetters who are keen to test the service in one of the following ways:

  • As a ‘date night takeaway’ at home with your partner while the kids are in bed.
  • As a fun feast night for the whole family.

Here’s what Deliveroo have to say: "We're interested in hearing what you think about Deliveroo, and how we can make dinner easier for you. Whether it's feeding the family, or bringing something special home, share your thoughts and let us know how we can help."

If you are selected, we will require you to test Deliveroo service between Wednesday 8th June and Wednesday 22nd June, so please only apply if you are around and happy to arrange a Deliveroo delivery for yourself during this time.

If selected, you’d need to leave a comment on a feedback thread on Mumsnet. All who post their feedback as required will be entered into a prize draw where one Mumsnetter will win a £300 Love2Shop voucher!

If you'd like to take part please add your details here. Please check that Deliveroo is available in your area by entering your postcode here before you apply

We will be in touch with the selected testers as soon as possible.

Thanks

Please note that Deliveroo prides itself on ensuring that the food reaches you in the best condition. As a result, you will only be able to receive service from Deliveroo if you are within 2.6km to 3km of one of their restaurants. This is because Deliveroo never want your food to have to travel with the driver for more than 5 minutes. Therefore, Deliveroo is not available in all locations yet, but their service is expanding all the time, so do keep an eye out in your area!

It's available in my area please count me in!

HoldTheDoorHodor · 30/05/2016 18:12

Not in the NE either. I'll stick to
Just Eat Grin

MaryPoppinsPenguins · 30/05/2016 18:33

Not available in my area either despite being just outside London.

chanice · 30/05/2016 20:31

Yes, they have to keep knocking, then phone them if the don't answer, then phone Deliveroo, then if no contact is established they can leave.
Sometimes people order and they are not at home and then expect the driver to wait for them.

pambeesley · 30/05/2016 20:58

I wouldn't use them after seeing the way their cyclists work in Nottingham. Cut over junctions, cycle very fast on pavements. Their Facebook page are full of people complaining about their cyclists.

I presume they have very tight targets which is why they ride the way they do!

Trills · 30/05/2016 21:24

Is it strictly necessary to have children?

The OP doesn't seem like it is, but the survey doesn't offer a "None" option.

31weeksgone · 31/05/2016 01:05

It's in our area, please pick me! Grin

MunchyMunchkin · 31/05/2016 11:44

Done.

LostMyBaubles · 31/05/2016 11:44

In our area too 😊

FurryDogMother · 31/05/2016 16:40

They have a very bad reputation in Brighton for their employment terms, groups of their employees hanging about in congested areas, and being competition for our local Dinner2Go service. I can't sign up for this trial, because I don't have a child, and therefore it seems can't have a 'date night' with my husband. Oh well, never mind.

Rishi79 · 31/05/2016 16:53

Serves Mine, never heard of them until I read about them on Mumsnet and looks like a good alternate to our regular hungryhouse. Signed up and I am waiting!

SpaceDinosaur · 31/05/2016 18:40

My area's covered. Home Counties.

But my area's got really piss poor restaurants. Next place over gets Waggamamas from their local. But my local Waggamamas isn't included... What the actual?!!

MandaHugNKiss · 31/05/2016 20:04

Ooh, I must have been under a stone. Didn't know about Deliveroo, and lo - they are in my area! Have signed up, fingers are crossed :D

Stopmithering · 31/05/2016 22:43

Just signed up - they deliver in my area but limited choice it seems. Fingers crossed!

littlemouse15 · 01/06/2016 09:57

Not in liverpool

shoebedo434 · 01/06/2016 11:27

not here either - a real shame as would love to try

SugarMiceInTheRain · 01/06/2016 11:49

Even though they're advertising it at all the bus stops round here and I'm about 10 minutes drive from the city centre, apparently we are not in the area Angry

thesoupdragon44 · 01/06/2016 13:24

shame its not available on the south cost as I would love Italian food to my door!

TuckingFablet · 01/06/2016 15:18

Just completed the survey. Fingers crossed I get to do it. We haven't been able to afford a takeaway in months

myrealfairy · 01/06/2016 20:32

I've seen them driving around my area, i'm on.

JakeBallardswife · 01/06/2016 22:36

we're about 10 k from the nearest place selling food. I'm guessing we wont ever be in their radar! Looks fab though.

GinThief · 01/06/2016 22:57

Completed survey, fingers crossed!

RaisinGirls · 02/06/2016 18:50

Ohh in my area! Hope I get picked. Hard to get out for a dinner with a toddler. How great to have something delivered that isn't a boring old curry!

OmaC · 03/06/2016 13:20

I'd love to be able to contributr to the research on this product please. Thank you

PenguinsAreAce · 04/06/2016 11:50

Has anyone mentioned that their cyclists don't wear helmets and are in dark uniform which makes them a real pain to spot as a driver at night. Do they not care for the health and safety of their cyclists? Why no compulsary cycle helmets and fluorescent reflective gear?
