We're looking for Mumsnetters from a range of locations to try the service from Deliveroo - the food delivery service from local restaurants. If selected, you’d need to sign up to Deliveroo, and your account would be credited with £40 which you can use to test it out.

We’re looking for Mumsnetters who are keen to test the service in one of the following ways:

  • As a ‘date night takeaway’ at home with your partner while the kids are in bed.
  • As a fun feast night for the whole family.

Here’s what Deliveroo have to say: "We're interested in hearing what you think about Deliveroo, and how we can make dinner easier for you. Whether it's feeding the family, or bringing something special home, share your thoughts and let us know how we can help."

If you are selected, we will require you to test Deliveroo service between Wednesday 8th June and Wednesday 22nd June, so please only apply if you are around and happy to arrange a Deliveroo delivery for yourself during this time.

If selected, you’d need to leave a comment on a feedback thread on Mumsnet. All who post their feedback as required will be entered into a prize draw where one Mumsnetter will win a £300 Love2Shop voucher!

If you'd like to take part please add your details here. Please check that Deliveroo is available in your area by entering your postcode here before you apply

We will be in touch with the selected testers as soon as possible.

Thanks

Please note that Deliveroo prides itself on ensuring that the food reaches you in the best condition. As a result, you will only be able to receive service from Deliveroo if you are within 2.6km to 3km of one of their restaurants. This is because Deliveroo never want your food to have to travel with the driver for more than 5 minutes. Therefore, Deliveroo is not available in all locations yet, but their service is expanding all the time, so do keep an eye out in your area!

Bishybishybarnabee · 26/05/2016 13:09

Is this only for new customers or can you take part if you've used deliveroo before?

MarvinKMooney · 26/05/2016 13:17

Good question bishy. I was wondering that too!

Bringmewineandcake · 26/05/2016 14:06

Not near me either

MothershipG · 26/05/2016 14:35

Please could I be considered for the family feast. I'm in West London.

ALemonyPea · 26/05/2016 14:44

Not available in my area despite living in a city. Gutted.

AdrenalineFudge · 26/05/2016 15:06

I've just signed up, typically it's available in central London where I'm based but judging from the amount of people who aren't eligible they should definitely expand the test area as a matter of course even if the service isn't currently available in those areas.

chanice · 26/05/2016 15:09

I have used Deliveroo before. They are quicker than normal takeaway deliveries and the drivers are polite. They only deal with restaurant quality and above. So no cheap chicken shops unfortunately which is what I crave sometimes. It is also £15 minimum order and the delivery is £2.50. So £17.50 minimum.
The drivers are self employed and get £7 an hour with £1 per delivery. Some hours it is below minimum wage, some hours it is £13.
Deliveroo do pay petrol and the drivers get to keep the tips.

Hi all,

The feedback from this product test will influence how Deliveroo develop their current service,

We're sorry that some of you are disappointed that Deliveroo isn't yet available in your area, but the great news is that they are expanding all of the time, so do keep an eye out! Grin

None here either. Shame.

Gowgirl · 26/05/2016 15:49

I've signed up, have seen the bikes about but haven't tried it yet!

LilySnape · 26/05/2016 15:58

There's loads of deliveroo in Yorkshire its super expensive though about £60 for a family of four to have a take away

StepAwayFromTheThesaurus · 26/05/2016 16:50

It's not available in my area either, but there's usually a deliveroo scooter parked in one of the driveways on the ways to ds2's school. It appears that they do deliver closer to the city centre but not to here (it's not a big city). Boo.

jobrum · 26/05/2016 17:59

Yay, in my area!

notamummy10 · 26/05/2016 18:09

I would love to take part in this but for some reason, they don't deliver to my half of the area :(

IAmAPaleontologist · 26/05/2016 18:39

Not in my area either, not a surprise though as hardly anyone delivers to us. Those that do are not worth having either. The occasional decent takeaway is one thing I miss about living in the city centre.

ChickyDuck · 26/05/2016 19:30

Yay! All signed up 😊

TheWeeBabySeamus1 · 26/05/2016 19:33

Done the survey, was surprised they did my area tbh. Smile

Byrdie · 26/05/2016 20:27

Not in our area but I wondered if they deliver to offices? Might be a great idea for my dh who is stuck late in london at least a few times during the week (by the time he's home he can't be bothered with making food - I'm usually in bed!) Might be something that would work well for him and his team when they're working late.
