We're looking for Mumsnetters from a range of locations to try the service from Deliveroo - the food delivery service from local restaurants. If selected, you’d need to sign up to Deliveroo, and your account would be credited with £40 which you can use to test it out.

We’re looking for Mumsnetters who are keen to test the service in one of the following ways:

  • As a ‘date night takeaway’ at home with your partner while the kids are in bed.
  • As a fun feast night for the whole family.

Here’s what Deliveroo have to say: "We're interested in hearing what you think about Deliveroo, and how we can make dinner easier for you. Whether it's feeding the family, or bringing something special home, share your thoughts and let us know how we can help."

If you are selected, we will require you to test Deliveroo service between Wednesday 8th June and Wednesday 22nd June, so please only apply if you are around and happy to arrange a Deliveroo delivery for yourself during this time.

If selected, you’d need to leave a comment on a feedback thread on Mumsnet. All who post their feedback as required will be entered into a prize draw where one Mumsnetter will win a £300 Love2Shop voucher!

If you'd like to take part please add your details here. Please check that Deliveroo is available in your area by entering your postcode here before you apply

We will be in touch with the selected testers as soon as possible.

Thanks

Please note that Deliveroo prides itself on ensuring that the food reaches you in the best condition. As a result, you will only be able to receive service from Deliveroo if you are within 2.6km to 3km of one of their restaurants. This is because Deliveroo never want your food to have to travel with the driver for more than 5 minutes. Therefore, Deliveroo is not available in all locations yet, but their service is expanding all the time, so do keep an eye out in your area!

I'm so excited. A take away is a rare treat in our house!

shrunkenhead · 27/05/2016 10:45

Not available here...

pottymummy · 27/05/2016 10:47

not in my area either

BathshebaDarkstone · 27/05/2016 10:50

Thanks Rebecca! Grin

avocadosweet · 27/05/2016 10:51

My postcode isn't covered, but my parents is and my old address is, all in the same small town. Interestingly there are different restaurants on the list for each postcode.

sassolino · 27/05/2016 11:12

Not available in my area, sigh.

vlcrhopkins · 27/05/2016 11:16

Not in Hull Area, surprisingly!

SmileyShazza · 27/05/2016 11:33

Not available in Milton Keynes - shame as it sounds like something I would use.

k8vincent · 27/05/2016 11:39

Saw a Deliveroo driver just the other day and was wondering about them. They do cover us.

SalmonMaki · 27/05/2016 11:42

Signed up, fingers crossed. We often see the Deliveroo people with their massive boxes on their backs cycling around, been hoping to persuade DH into getting a takeaway...

clockbuscanada · 27/05/2016 13:05

They deliver to my work, but not to home 30 mins away - would I be able to participate and order something like sushi then cool bag it home myself?

xxmissbrightsidexx · 27/05/2016 13:22

Not available here in blackpool :(

alibubbles · 27/05/2016 13:37

They put flyers through our door but don't deliver, how crazy is that! Plus there delivery boys ride their bikes at night with no helmets, bright clothing or lights in our town!

MaximumVolume · 27/05/2016 14:06

CamembertQueen and StrawberryShortcake wonder if we're all in the same place? We've just got it (to the point where I checked last week and we hadn't but saw a driver today and checked and we have!). Just signed up...I've been excited about Deliveroo for ages! Two small kids mean that eating out doesn't often happen (except in IKEA cafe!).

foxessocks · 27/05/2016 14:18

Not available here either I really wanted to try!

angielou123 · 27/05/2016 14:22

No, not here! I wonder where they DO deliver to??

SaltySeaBird · 27/05/2016 14:28

Nope don't cover here, we aren't in a major city though. Shame as would be really useful.

RebeccaEMumsnet · 27/05/2016 14:31

Great to see that this has prompted so much discussion!

Here's a statement from Deliveroo to explain why some of you won't be able to receive deliveries from them yet:

Deliveroo prides itself on ensuring that the food reaches you in the best condition.

They did a massive leaflet drop on my estate and they don't even deliver to my postcode, what a waste of time and money for them!

Not in my area :(

whatsbehindthegreendoor · 27/05/2016 15:55

Am keeping my fingers crossed for this one! I've seen several of the mopeds out and about around Oxford, would be excellent to check it out!

StepAwayFromTheThesaurus · 27/05/2016 16:14

Tbh, no matter how much they expand, it sounds like most of the population will be pretty disappointed in a postcode search since the company intend to only deliver within a 5 minute radius of the restaurants.

alibubbles · 27/05/2016 16:32

They need to pedal faster then if 5 minutes delivery time, as virtually no residential within the area of their list of restaurants!

My sentiments and experience too FeckinCrutches

CointreauVersial · 27/05/2016 16:40

Bloody hell, if I lived five minutes from a load of restaurants, I wouldn't need a delivery service!
