This is the feedback thread for the 500 Mumsnetters who tested Comfort Pure Ultra Concentrate.

Here’s what Comfort has to say: “We are pleased to launch the NEW Comfort Pure Ultra Concentrate. Following our fantastic launch of Comfort Intense last year, we were keen to offer an extension of this format suitable for sensitive skin. Comfort Pure Ultra Concentrate offers the same loved fragrance, amazing softness and performance as Comfort Pure, number 1 laundry brand for sensitive skin*, but from just a tiny dose! Just one cap (15ml) is needed in your washing load and comes in a convenient small pack, either 38 washes or 64 washes from most major retailers. Incredible softness, from just a tiny dose!”

*Based on AC Nielsen, MAT value sales, 19/03/16.

Q1, nice shape and great to think you get so many washes from one little bottle

Q2, really liked the size and pourer would buy this again as saved space in my cupboard, clothes were nice and soft and smelt just like normal comfort pure

MadeinBelfast · 05/05/2016 17:50

The bottle was easy to store and the smell was pleasant if much milder than the blue version I normally use.
I liked the fact that it doesn't irritate my children's skin and that they didn't complain about the smell (which they sometimes do about other products!) I have a big washing machine and I didn't feel it made the clothes particularly soft so maybe I need to increase the dose. As others said though, this would make it quite expensive.

Q1: What was your overall impression of the product?
i loved the smell its devine !! also it hAS a cute eye catchingg bottle i really like the packaging.

Q2: What did you like/dislike about the product? Why?

this made my childrens clothes so soft and the smell was wonderful !

itslookingbright · 05/05/2016 18:01

I thought this could be really handy for the size, I've got so little space in the cupboards that the size really is amazing BUT this is supposed to be a concentrate but after using the dose advised in the first wash there was no fresh smell on the towels. So I tried another lot with double the dosage and this worked however after the towels were dry the smell was completely gone. I can't see this being very cost effective if I have to use double dose. The towels were soft after the wash though so I suppose it did it's job...

Maiyakat · 05/05/2016 18:08

I don't normally use fabric softener. I liked the smell, it wasn't too strong. It did make the fabric feel softer but I don't really like this! I think I will continue to use it for bedding and towels. The measures on the cap are difficult to read.

Deedee75 · 05/05/2016 18:10

Q1: What was your overall impression of the product?
Nice compact bottle, with useful cap that doesn't leak when pouring both into the cap, and from the cap to the machine, with a lovely fresh and clean smell.

Q2: What did you like/dislike about the product? Why?
Particularly like the smell, and being a concentrated liquid so that you get a lot of washes from a small bottle.

lottietiger · 05/05/2016 18:12

Q1: What was your overall impression of the product?
I have done 4 loads so far and im happy with it as a product.

Q2: What did you like/dislike about the product? Why?
I like the bottle size, easier to store & less waste.
I liked the smell but no more or less than other Comfort fragrances.
I didn't like that on a large load you did have to use quite a lot to get a good fragrance.. that wouldn't make it cost effective.
Softness was similar to other products.
I didn't like the price, but I liked the product so would buy it if it was on offer.

Q1: What was your overall impression of the product?

Loved it .great size great looking product .

Q2 :what did you like ?

Great smell.Soft fluffy towels.Great softness to a lot of the wash.when tumble drying the whole room smelt lovely.10/10 loved it

senorita26 · 05/05/2016 18:17

The size of the bottle is great although it will take me some time to get used to using just a small amount! On opening the bottle the fragrance hit me, really nice, not too strong. Not sure though that it will last for so many washes it claims to.

I have used it on several washes and like the results. Washing nice and soft being left with just a hint of fragrance. We go through so many clothes etc in our house that I don't think I will get to judge how long the fragrance lasts!

I will certainly be purchasing again and would recommend to others.

TheWeeBabySeamus1 · 05/05/2016 18:32
  1. Liked the smaller bottle as I have limited storage in kitchen and the spout made pouring it out easier. Smelled nice, but I always use the regular comfort pure anyway.
  1. The smell was nice but had to use slightly more than recommended dose to make clothes soft so wouldn't get 38 washes out of it, but I find the same with all fabric softeners. Similar price per wash to regular comfort concentrate so would definitely buy. I think the biggest plus is the smaller size - I don't drive and have to carry all my shopping home so the lighter the better. Smile

Q1: What was your overall impression of the product? i like the bottle as it is small found it a little hard to pour

Q2: What did you like/dislike about the product? Why? the clothes felt soft but im not keen on the smell i found it a bit overpowering and not as nice as the comfort intense.thank you for letting me trial it

Themadcleaner · 05/05/2016 19:09

I really liked it, smelt nice but not too strong and clothes felt soft.
Bottle was a good size and easy to use.

QueenOfTheWhiteWalkers · 05/05/2016 19:13

My overall impression was that this is a good quality conditioner. I like the bottle with the spout it makes it easy to pour.

I liked the smell, and thought it left my clothes lovely and soft. I did use more than the recommended dose though as I always tend to use more conditioner that it says to get more of a smell. So if I was to by this and use it it would be terribly expensive.

HeffalumpHistory · 05/05/2016 19:25

Q1 overall - loved product. I usually use loads of fabric conditioner but used the recommended amount of this product & clothes smelt lovely & "neutral" and felt nice once dry

Q2 Looks good but found cap a bit awkward to unscrew. Seemed "slippy". Maybe just me, but this was the only off putting thing.

I will definitely buy this again :-)

Anj123 · 05/05/2016 19:29

My overall impression was good. I didn't notice a massive difference but I use Comfort anyway. I especially liked how easy it was to pour the fabric conditioner as the bottle had a spout. There was nothing I didn't like. Thanks for letting me try this.

Headlesshorseman · 05/05/2016 19:37

Overall i liked this product. I loved the subtle smell. As i tend to use less fabric conditioner anyway, i did think the clothes came out softer. The bottle was small and easy to pour, I found it less fiddly to measure the right amount. And from a 'green' point of view, concentrated products with less packaging are always better.

NoodieRoodie · 05/05/2016 19:39

I liked the smell of this and the compact bottle but as others have already said it was a pain to pour out as every time I opened it the pouring spout was the wrong way round. Also I've found that to get the fragrance and softness I'm using the large dose so the bottle is going to last no time at all. I'll probably stick with standard (non concentrate) as it's cheaper.

ZylaB · 05/05/2016 19:52

Q1: What was your overall impression of the product?
Liked the small bottle, lighter to carry and easier to store. Lovely smell and clothes were soft and seemed gentle on my baby's skin.

Q2: What did you like/dislike about the product? Why?
Loved the smell and softness and small packaging.

kierie · 05/05/2016 19:53

Overall, I really like it. The bottle is smaller, so fits better in the cupboard. I'm only using a small amount on a full wash load and I can def smell it on the clothes coming off of the line. I like the indicator on the side, to show you how much is left. I found the spout easy and precise.

MrsCeee · 05/05/2016 19:56

Q1: What was your overall impression of the product?
I quite liked the small size and shape of the bottle. I use this product anyway and liked using an even smaller amount. There was no obvious difference in the quality and I could still smell the product which was very subtle.

Q2: What did you like/dislike about the product? Why?
I liked that the product quality was not compromised. Also liked that the fragrance has not been enhanced because I find the balance 'just right' and not too overpowering.

SweetPeaPods · 05/05/2016 20:21
  1. Overall impression was positive but I couldn't notice much difference between this and my normal product (standard comfort pure)
  1. Liked the smell and the size of the bottle. It takes up less room on my worktop or in cupboard.
Nothing to really dislike.
bluebump · 05/05/2016 20:53

Q1. I really liked the shape of the bottle, I liked the size too. I used a small dose of it and was really happy with it. I will be impressed if I do 38 washes with it.

Q2. I liked the scent. I had almost forgotten I was testing the product and when I was hanging the washing on the line I got a big waft of the fragrance which I liked. The clothes feel soft enough, I've got loads of washing to do over the weekend with different stuff (ie towels, bedding etc) so I'll test it on those too not just clothes.

katiewalters · 05/05/2016 21:02

I liked this product. Had a lovely smell, which I could still smell after the clothes had been dried. Which wasn't too strong, but that's what i like so it was great for me. I liked that you didn't need to use a lot, and I even did a wash using more, and there was no real difference, so just a small amount is needed. The clothes felt soft when they came out of the wash. Think the price is a bit expensive, even though you get a lot of washes, people might see the small bottle at that price and go for a cheaper one.

sulalovesbing · 05/05/2016 21:04
  1. Lovely
  1. Great smell
StandUnderMyUmbrella · 05/05/2016 21:17

I liked the compact size of the bottle. It was surprising that you could get so many washes out of a small bottle.
I also liked the scent of the fabric conditioner, it smelt gentle and not overpowering.

I didn't feel it was any better or worse than other fabric conditioners, it did the job just the same as other similar products out there.
The washing smelt lovely when it came out the wash and i would use it again.

The only thing i disliked if if you hold the spout at the wrong angle whilst pouring, it can make a bit of a mess!
