This is the feedback thread for the 500 Mumsnetters who tested Comfort Pure Ultra Concentrate.

Here’s what Comfort has to say: “We are pleased to launch the NEW Comfort Pure Ultra Concentrate. Following our fantastic launch of Comfort Intense last year, we were keen to offer an extension of this format suitable for sensitive skin. Comfort Pure Ultra Concentrate offers the same loved fragrance, amazing softness and performance as Comfort Pure, number 1 laundry brand for sensitive skin*, but from just a tiny dose! Just one cap (15ml) is needed in your washing load and comes in a convenient small pack, either 38 washes or 64 washes from most major retailers. Incredible softness, from just a tiny dose!”

*Based on AC Nielsen, MAT value sales, 19/03/16.

I really liked the fragrance. It was fresh and neither feminine nor masculine, and I can smell it on the clothes after line drying and tumble drying.

The smaller bottle also appeals to me because I found it easier to grip and pour from than regular sized bottles.

I didn't notice any difference in softness from my regular softener. The towels dried outside were still on the crispy side.

Hopelass · 05/05/2016 13:15

Q1: What was your overall impression of the product?
I liked it. I liked the packaging being so small and the scent was lovely and clean without being overpowering.

Q2: What did you like/dislike about the product? Why?
The scent was lovely and it made my clothes as soft as my regular fabric conditioner. I would probably buy it but definitely if it was on offer as the price is a little steep but not astronomical.

Goldenhandshake · 05/05/2016 13:35
  1. Much prefer this smaller bottle, anything that takes up less room under the sink is a winner in my book.
  1. Love the smell, as I always have, however I find I had to use a bit more than the recommended amount, possibly because I have an 8kg washing machine though?
avocadosweet · 05/05/2016 13:36

I liked the fragrance but it was really really strong, even after leaving the clothes on the washing line outside overnight it was still stronger than I'd use for my newborn. That was half a capful. The clothes aren't as soft as I'd expected either which is odd. I do live in a really hard water area though.
I think the bottle is made for a right handed person as the spout was the wrong way round to pour when I took the cap off.

Laundry day tomorrow and mine only arrived yesterday - I'll report back

TheMasterBaker · 05/05/2016 13:48

Q1: What was your overall impression of the product?

I love the smaller bottle as standard bottles don't fit easily under the sink. The packaging colour and design is very no-nonsense.

Q2: What did you like/dislike about the product? Why?

I like the smell, it's strong enough to leave laundry smelling nice but not strong enough to be overpowering or chemically. I often find washing can be scratchy when it's been line dried but I was surprised to find everything beautifully soft even after being dried on the line for several hours.

starfishmummy · 05/05/2016 14:02

Like the small bottle.
Way too scented for my liking. I am used to using a "sensitive" conditioner which hardly has any scent. As this is marketed as kind, gentle, sensitive etc I was not expecting it to be so perfumed.

DoItTooJulia · 05/05/2016 14:13
  1. Overall impression: I like like the size of the bottle-much better for storing. I like the cap/dispenser too. Great for my 11 yo Ds who is learning about household tasks-he can't go wrong with the cap and instructions!
  1. What did I like/dislike?
Hmmm, I always buy blue lenor and the smell of this isn't as strong. I usually dilute my fabric conditioner too, because we slop loads in the drawer. I like the fact I wouldn't need to do that every time. I didn't notice that the clothes were softer or less soft than normal.

It feels like a quality product and I would probably buy it again.

Etihad · 05/05/2016 14:18
  1. Like how compact the bottle is. Much easier to store and good idea for environment as less platic used.

  2. doesnt smell as strong as usual Comfort, so will probably use more next time - which defeats the object slightly. Clothes and towels nice and soft.

mogloveseggs · 05/05/2016 14:24

Q1. Neat sized bottle. Nice smell after drying. Would buy again.
Q2. Liked the bottle size-good for storing under the sink. Wasn't keen on the smell when neat, however my clothes didn't smell that strong after drying.

Sleeplessinmybedroom · 05/05/2016 14:30

I loved everything about this product except the price. Unless it was on offer I probably wouldn't buy it. I liked the size, I don't have much space in my kitchen so a small bottle is a bonus. I liked the spout for pouring. My washing smelt a lot stronger than it does with my normal fabric conditioner and the smell has lasted at least two days so far. My clothes were softer than usual too. My Sisters are here today and I was hanging out the washing and they said how lovely it smelt. I thought this was a great product overall.

Starfish78 · 05/05/2016 14:39
  1. I liked the size of the bottle, which only having a small kitchen, made it easier for me to store. I also liked the easy to pour spout.
  2. It made the washing lovely and soft, but I wasn't keen on the smell.
thejetpack · 05/05/2016 14:50

I like the shape and size of the bottle, and the smell upon opening. It also seems to work just as well as the normal comfort pure.

I would like a more intense and longer lasting fragrance after washing though (but that’s just my personal preference). Also, the larger bottle is more appealing to me as it would potentially be more cost effective and environmentally friendly.

BlackeyedPetitsPois · 05/05/2016 14:50

Q1 - overall impression was that I liked the fragrance as it was nice and strong, great softness (as the original Comfort) from a tiny amount - I was amazed.
Q2 - loved the small bottle as much easier to store, handle and pour.

8kidswhoscounting · 05/05/2016 14:53

Q1: What was your overall impression of the product?

I really liked it as it gentle enough for the whole family including DD (5 months). As a large family I tend to use one type conditioner just to simplify my life.

Q2: What did you like/dislike about the product? Why?

The Gentle and nice fragrance it reminds me of newborn babies, the clothes were soft. Also the packaging was clever as it fitted nicely in my tiny utility cupboard. The only dislike was price. Grin

Thank you for letting me try this product.

SpunBodgeSquarepants · 05/05/2016 14:56

Q1: What was your overall impression of the product?
Very good - much prefer having concentrated fabric conditioner as takes up less space in my already crowded kitchen cupboard. Easy to pour and also to determine the correct amount to use for either a small or larger load. Gave it a sniff as I was pouring it into drawer and smelt very pleasant.

Q2: What did you like/dislike about the product? Why?
Unfortunately smell did not longer after clothes were washed and tumbled. Also clothes were not as soft as with my usual conditioner (Comfort Creations). But you'd expect that from a product aimed at babies.

annarack99 · 05/05/2016 14:59

I really liked the compact size of this product and the small dose required, however was not very impressed with the results. I did not feel it did much for the texture of my clothes and the scent was not very appealing. I would not bother to purchase in the future.

WhizzPopper · 05/05/2016 15:24

Q1: What was your overall impression of the product?

The bottle was small which was good, less space taken up in the cupboard but it didn't seem there would be enough softener to last 38 washes. The pouring spout was handy to use. It smells lovely too.

Q2: What did you like/dislike about the product? Why?

I liked the pouring spout very handy, it smells lovely and my washing is lovely and soft even after using such a small dose.

Ohwoolballs · 05/05/2016 15:40

Typically mine was supposed to be delivered today while I was out walking in the sun! Will pick it up from the post office in the morning and do a wash.

snowymum12 · 05/05/2016 15:54

I liked the smaller bottle, which would be much easier to carry back from the supermarket and store too. It definitely felt sturdier. I've used Comfort Pure in the past so like the fragrance. It seemed more subtle than when i've used it before.
I thought it was pretty good at softening my clothes but felt that the price was quite expensive compared to other brands.

Ninjagogo · 05/05/2016 16:03

I liked the small bottle, easy to use and store. The scent was quite strong in the bottle but obviously faded in use.
The softner did not aggravate DC's eczema, which is a plus. I would buy it if it was on offer.

WowOoo · 05/05/2016 16:09

Q1: What was your overall impression of the product?

Good. I like the packaging and colours. Upon opening it, it had a lovely smell.

Q2: What did you like/dislike about the product? Why?

I've so far done two trial washes and I don't think it smells as strong as usual. This may be because I am actually measuring it carefully. I usually just pour a load in - probably far too much. I'll use less in future. Still, I do love the scent.

The clothes have dried nicely and feel nice too. I'm happy with it but am not sure if it is actually that concentrated. I thought it would be stronger, that's all.

BBQsAreSooooOverrated · 05/05/2016 16:41

Q1: What was your overall impression of the product?
I liked the compact bottle and the fragrance is nice. I use the non concentrate version normally and the smell was about the same. My clothes came out soft and they smelt lightly of the fabric conditioner although not as strongly as the regular version I think.

Q2: What did you like/dislike about the product? Why? I found it a bit tricky to pour at first as I had the spout turned round and spilt fabric conditioner. I have to make a conscious effort to make sure it's the right way before I pour. Other than that I liked the compact size.

lovewatchingrainfall · 05/05/2016 17:10

I am going to cheat and answers both questions in one:

The overall impressions are really good, love the small design as space is a issue I like the smaller bottles. The smell when you first take the lid off is strong but that's because it's small. The smell on the clothes is fab and smells nice and clean. Does not upset my skin like other brands which is a bonus.
My dislike is the lid on my bottle once opened is a bit lose, do not try and lift from the lid it will spill. But this could just be my bottle.
Overall I am impressed. Price wise it is on par with many others. Would buy when on offer.

littlemouse15 · 05/05/2016 17:25

Q1: What was your overall impression of the product? Good

Q2: What did you like/dislike about the product? Why?

I like the smaller bottle, i guess it just seems cuter.
clothes smelt lovely.
bottle would be easier to carry home from shops
