This is the feedback thread for the 500 Mumsnetters who tested Comfort Pure Ultra Concentrate.

Here’s what Comfort has to say: “We are pleased to launch the NEW Comfort Pure Ultra Concentrate. Following our fantastic launch of Comfort Intense last year, we were keen to offer an extension of this format suitable for sensitive skin. Comfort Pure Ultra Concentrate offers the same loved fragrance, amazing softness and performance as Comfort Pure, number 1 laundry brand for sensitive skin*, but from just a tiny dose! Just one cap (15ml) is needed in your washing load and comes in a convenient small pack, either 38 washes or 64 washes from most major retailers. Incredible softness, from just a tiny dose!”

*Based on AC Nielsen, MAT value sales, 19/03/16.

what was your overall impression of the product?

I liked it. Made our clothes soft with just enough scent.

what did you like/dislike about the product? Why?

On the whole I liked the bottle. It's a nice small size which is much more convenient than bulky ones, and the nozzle resulted in less spillage. But I found the lid really hard to open when I used it for the first time, as it's so smooth and that along with its shape meant I struggled to grip it. I like the look of the bottle.

I like the scent, it's nice and clean/fresh smelling and not too over powering. But I agree with pp that you need a full capful to be able to smell it on clothes afterwards.

Q1: What was your overall impression of the product?

Made my house and clothes smell lovely, the scent lasted quite a while too!!

Nice and compact and will probably last me another week or two after already doing a whole aka washing for me, DH and DS

Q2: What did you like/dislike about the product? Why?

I think the only thing I could dislike about the conditioner is the suggested price, I don't think I would want to pay that much, if I had t used it before.

I really like the smell, probably because it reminds me of when DS was a snuffly little newborn Grin

MrPony · 12/05/2016 20:53

In liked the size of the bottle, it really puts me off buying the big massive bottles as I have nowhere to store them.

The smell was nice and not too overpowering. I would have liked it a touch stronger maybe.

I didn't notice a big difference in the softness of my clothes the first time but after using it a few more times I can start to see it.

I would probably buy this product again.

MrsOs · 12/05/2016 21:16

I like that the bottle is compact and easy to pour

I didnt see much difference to any other conditioner, it didnt smell very much and the clothes werent necessarily that much softer than usual.. I was a tad dissapointed

RedKites · 12/05/2016 21:27

Q1: What was your overall impression of the product?
I've used normal Comfort Pure before - it seemed like that, just more compact!
Q2: What did you like/dislike about the product? Why?
I like the smaller bottle. As I understand concentrated laundry liquid etc. are more environmentally friendly so presumably ultra concentrated is even better.

susan123 · 12/05/2016 21:28

I liked the scent, but did not notice any particular difference to my usual fabric conditioner. I would buy it if it was on offer, but probably not at full price.

Babedestiny · 12/05/2016 21:40

Q1: What was your overall impression of the product?
I like the compact size of it.

Q2: What did you like/dislike about the product? Why
It was soft after washes and smell great. And it also had instructions on how much to pour and the bottle cap measuring made it easier.
It felt the same as other fabric conditioner in term of softness.
When I buy fabric conditioner, I always look at how many washes a bottle would last and make comparison to other products. If this has more washes, then I would purchase it if the price is right.

francis223 · 12/05/2016 21:58

Q1: What was your overall impression of the product?

Love the fact the bottle is so small a light to carry in amongst full bags of supermarket shopping. Liquid seems quite watery when putting it into machine but the clothes come out smelling fresh.

Q2: What did you like/dislike about the product? Why?
Because it's so concentrated and there isn't much of it, and I suppose because it seems quite watery, I wasn't sure how much was enough to use. I don't think the bottle will last long in my house, as my instinct tells me that the recommended dose isn't enough! I love the small light bottle though - much easier to carry the shopping from the car to the house with that sized bottle.

fourmonthstogo · 12/05/2016 22:06

Q1: What was your overall impression of the product?

I liked it - nice small bottle, easy to store. Spout good for pouring. The scent was subtle and my clothes were soft.

Q2: What did you like/dislike about the product? Why?

As above for like. Didn't really dislike anything.

HustleVandango · 12/05/2016 22:08

Q1: I liked the neatness of the bottle and the cheerful little indicator on the side which shows when it's about to run out.
Q2: Weirdly it has exacerbated DD's eczema so we have only used it twice. Saving it for washing my bedding :(

wonkylegs · 12/05/2016 23:02

Nice looking bottle but not well designed for use, too soft, gives when pouring which could lead to spillage and lid far too smooth to grip making opening difficult
Product is fine, nice & subtle, no reCtions from our sensitive skinned family.

puddlecat · 12/05/2016 23:18

Q1: What was your overall impression of the product?

A good impression. I liked the neat bottle and it fitted nicely into my utility room cupboard. I also liked the handy indicator on the side.

Q2: What did you like/dislike about the product? Why?

The product was perfect for my daughter and I as we both suffer with sensitive skin and have had reactions in the past to other brands of conditioner. The smell was very pleasant and I felt that it lingered on the clothes for a good while after washing.

nerysw · 13/05/2016 06:14

I liked the smaller bottle, it fits better in my cupboard and the spout is less messy and great for pouring. I sniffed the bottle and really liked the smell. it's quite subtle on what you've washed but smells clean and homely.
There wasn't anything I disliked. I've done quite a lot of loads using this and it reminded me how nice it is to use a decent fabric softener. Lately I've not been bothering but the softness of my clothes (esp pyjamas) afterwards makes it worthwhile.

Ilikesweetpeas · 13/05/2016 06:49

Q1: What was your overall impression of the product?

I liked the smaller bottle, it fits better in my cupboard!

Q2: What did you like/dislike about the product? Why?

I liked how easily it poured, some fabric conditioners are gloopy and clog up the drawer, I don't think this one would do that. I was happy the the smell- as others have said it's not very strong once the clothes are washed but I prefer that.

I though it was quite expensive- it's the sort of product I would stock up on when I saw an offer on it.

FreiasBathtub · 13/05/2016 08:01
  1. Overall impression of the product: good! I tried it on my sheets and they came out smelling lovely. Not sure I can say much about the softness, I never really notice much difference between products as far as this goes Blush
  1. Liked/disliked. Liked the smell, the cap for measuring (this is helpful for economising, I tend to be a bit pour-happy without a guide for quantities). Disliked the pouring spout, but only because I'm used to the bigger bottles that you can pour from any angle.
amarante · 13/05/2016 09:00

I love the smell and liked the smaller bottle but I think it is quite expensive so I'll stick to the regular Comfort Pure.
However, if it was on offer or I was going on holiday I'd definitely buy it. It is really nice

megjoe1 · 13/05/2016 10:12

Thank you for allowing us to test this product
1 My overall impression was positive, I have always used Comfort Pure so I do like the fragrance which is lovely and fresh. I also love the bottle size and the fact that it is so easy to use.
2 The only negative for me would be the price so unless it was on offer I would be tempted to stick with the regular Comfort Pure.

Oldmotherhen · 13/05/2016 11:00

Q1: What was your overall impression of the product? Great! Smaller bottle, and smells just as great.

Q2: What did you like/dislike about the product? Why? Dislike the price, I would only buy if on offer. But I do love the fact it is smaller but yet still works as good! Love the smell and softness. Great product.

monkeyplastic · 13/05/2016 11:07

The overall impression was good. Handy size that won't take up too much room in the cupboard.
I like the fragrance, it was a mild pleasant smell. It was also easy to dispense.
I'm not sure that I would buy it though as it depends ultimatelyon the price

DefinitelyNotElsa · 13/05/2016 11:14
  1. My overall impression was very positive. The conditioner offered a good level of softness from only a small amount. The scent was subtle, but you could smell it on the clothes for a few days after washing. It felt very gentle.

  2. I found the packaging really convenient. Space is at a premium, so the dinky bottle is great. I also liked how you only needed a tiny bit.

forkhandles4candles · 13/05/2016 11:17

Q1: What was your overall impression of the product?
I don't use fabric conditioner a lot, but have been wanting to make the towels feel nice again. This did the job. I was impressed by how much fuller they felt. Like a lot of people, I really like the smallness of the packaging. Our under sink cupboard is so stuffed full - yet one doesn't want to buy smaller sizes because they cost more per ML - so this is a good compromise. Also - no car - so appreciate the fact this can be carried back from supermarket without tugging arms off. Overall, good.

Q2: What did you like/dislike about the product? Why?
I liked the way it made my fabrics feel soft again. I liked the not too overpowering smell. I liked the small size of the container. Though t the spout was OK. Pricing just a tiny bit too high, I think.

HappyMum4 · 13/05/2016 11:18

My overall impression was very positive, I loved the concentration which meant I didn't have to use as much and the clothes/towels were just as soft and fluffy, I really like the scent, it's not overpowering or chemically, and it stayed for ages which was brill!
I liked the size of the bottle, it's nice to be able to fit it into a normal sized cupboard, and not having to use a great deal, there's nothing I didn't like about it! Thanks for giving me the chance to test it.

bluenailsblueshoes · 13/05/2016 12:32

Q.1 A cute looking bottle, smelt great and easy to pour.

Q.2 I loved the shape of the bottle and the fact that it wasn't too heavy or cumbersome to pick up. Left the clothes smelling good and feeling soft.
Would definitely buy this product.

RedRoseMummy · 13/05/2016 13:32

I liked the softener very much. It left our laundry feeling gently softened and delicately fragrances. I'm not a fan of strong fragrances so the level this provides was perfect for me. The smaller bottle is easy to store in our kitchen and the spout makes it easy and mess-free to pour out.

I've always found Comfort to be reliable.and effective on our laundry and the Pure variety is no different from this, in fact I prefer the fragrance. I really like it.

mcdog · 13/05/2016 15:20

The product doesn't smell strong enough for me, I like my clothes to smell like "washing". It would expensive to use enough to make my clothes smell strong enough.
