This thread is for the Mumsnetters who have been trying Little Dish Go Gos with their child aged 1-3.

Here's what they say, "Little Dish Go Gos are yummy mini oat biscuits that have been created in partnership with leading nutritionist Lucy Jones. Suitable from age one upwards, Go Gos are full of naturally good things like wholegrain oats, flax and chia seeds and protein which all help to deliver slow release energy and nourishment to your little one. Each little bag of GoGos provides three grams of protein, and is a good source of fibre."

Below are a few questions for you to answer about trying Little Dish Go Gos with your DCs – feel free to add any other thoughts you may have though, as well as share any photos of the snacks in action: we’d love to hear/see them.

Q3 Which was your child’s favourite recipe/ flavour?

Overall, how satisfied or dissatisfied were you with the Little Dish Go Gos? I really liked the packaging. It was eye catching and appealed to me and the dc. The sticker on the bag to reseal the pack is a simple but welcome idea. We tried the raspberry ones first. The packet was finished but with 'help' from the 7 year old, the 3 year wasn't impressed and although the 1 year old ate them there wasn't a request for more. Next we tried the vanilla, none of the dc liked them. Lastly we had the ginger. I thought they had an odd aftertaste and didn't taste much of ginger. The 3 year old wouldn't try them and the 1 year old did eat them. I liked the choice of flavours but having tried them they've not been a success here.

If Little Dish Go Gos were on sale at a price acceptable to you, do you think you would buy the products in future or not? If the dc wanted them then yes, but they weren't a hit so that's unlikely.

If it came up, in principle, do you think you’d recommend the Little Dish Go Gos to a friend or family member or not? Why? In principle I would recommend them as they are a comparatively healthy option that can be thrown in your bag and eaten without making mess. It's a shame my dc didn't really like them.

Which was your child’s favourite recipe/ flavour? Probably the ginger, just.

What other sweet snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old? Fruit, dried fruit, weekly biscuit at playgroup, very occasional chocolate buttons. Sometimes Bear fruit paws but overall, apart from fresh fruit I prefer to offer something savory.

What savoury snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old? Marmite rice cakes, toast, vegetable sticks.

cuddles159 · 23/01/2016 08:24

Q1 Overall, how satisfied or dissatisfied were you with the Little Dish Go Gos? I was fairly satisfied with them. It was nice to have a range of flavours to try as it turns out DS prefers one over the others. The packaging is nice - we like the stickers especially. We thought the box that the snacks were posted in was excessively large, though DS enjoyed sitting in it etc. We were very grateful for the free toddler meal vouchers.

Lambethmum · 24/01/2016 09:43

Q1 Overall, how satisfied or dissatisfied were you with the Little Dish Go Gos?
Fairly satisfied - low sugar and the size of the packaging is good, but only vanilla went down well here
Q2 If Little Dish Go Gos were on sale at a price acceptable to you, do you think you would buy the products in future or not?
Just the vanilla ones
Q2 If it came up, in principle, do you think you’d recommend the Little Dish Go Gos to a friend or family member or not? Why?
The vanilla ones for the size of the package, sticker and low sugar
Q3 Which was your child’s favourite recipe/ flavour?
Vanilla, raspberry were 'not nice' and ginger made 'mouth hot'
Q4 What other sweet snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old?
fruit, dried fruit, cereal bars
Q5 What savoury snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old?
rice cakes, bread sticks, raw vegetables

Pomtastic · 24/01/2016 11:57

Q1 Overall, how satisfied or dissatisfied were you with the Little Dish Go Gos?
Very satisfied - low sugar, high in protein & dairy free! For us personally, DD has ASD & loves crunchy textures, but it's really hard to get her to eat any protein, so these were a big hit with both her & me. She loved them & kept asking for them! I also like how they didn't taste too sweet (wouldn't make DD too used to overly sweet tasting snacks).

Q2 If Little Dish Go Gos were on sale at a price acceptable to you, do you think you would buy the products in future or not?
Definitely - I'll be actively looking out for these.

Q2 If it came up, in principle, do you think you’d recommend the Little Dish Go Gos to a friend or family member or not? Why?
Yes, due to their reasonably good nutritional content compared to the average children's snack (low sugar, no additives & higher protein)

Q3 Which was your child’s favourite recipe/ flavour?
Vanilla, closely followed by ginger (raspberry was a bit too strongly flavoured for her).

Q4 What other sweet snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old?
The occasional Nakd bar.

Q5 What savoury snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old?
Plain oatcakes, Kallo buckwheat cakes.

Plateofcrumbs · 24/01/2016 13:35

Q1 Overall, how satisfied or dissatisfied were you with the Little Dish Go Gos?
Loved idea, loved packaging, and felt sure they would be a hit with 18mo DS who will generally demolish anything that resembles a biscuit. Sadly he was not impressed - ate a couple then had fun lining them up, stacking them and sticking his fingers through the holes. But eating them, not so much. Same result with all three flavours tried on different occasions.
Q2 If Little Dish Go Gos were on sale at a price acceptable to you, do you think you would buy the products in future or not?
Unfortunately not as DS wouldn't eat them.
Q2 If it came up, in principle, do you think you’d recommend the Little Dish Go Gos to a friend or family member or not? Why?
I will pass on the uneaten packs to friends to see if their kids are interested in them but otherwise not. I think they were too dry and bland to appeal to my DS.
Q3 Which was your child’s favourite recipe/ flavour?
I liked the vanilla best, DS perhaps had marginally more interest in the raspberry
Q4 What other sweet snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old?
Organix oaty bars, or whatever is on offer. A Tupperware tub of Cheerios is our sweet snack of choice though. Fruit if we are counting that.
Q5 What savoury snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old?
Kallo unsalted rice cakes, babybel (sooo much babybel!) Often eat peanut butter sandwich fingers when we are on the go.

Plateofcrumbs · 24/01/2016 13:36

Oops my formatting didn't work! Blush

EasterRobin · 24/01/2016 13:51

My DD (just turned 1) finds these fun to play with as well. She's not very hungry right now so we've just had a nice game of "put the biscuit".

I'm not 100% clear on the rules but it seems to be along the lines of:
(1) put biscuit on a bit of card
(2) check if biscuit is entirely on the bit of card, and ideally the right way up. If not, return to rule 1.
(3) after several successful rounds you may attempt the BONUS ROUND.
(BONUS ROUND) Put a single biscuit on a toy train and switch on toy train. No more than one biscuit may be allowed on the toy train. Once your bonus round is complete, return to rule 1.

Apparently this is a great game.

OvariesBeforeBrovaries · 24/01/2016 14:37

Q1 Overall, how satisfied or dissatisfied were you with the Little Dish Go Gos? Very satisfied! Fab sized bags, perfect amount for a snack and DD loves all of the flavours! We love the stickers - she's currently wandering around with Tommy Turtle and Amanda Panda stuck to her teddy bear!
Q2 If Little Dish Go Gos were on sale at a price acceptable to you, do you think you would buy the products in future or not? Absolutely, if the price is competitive with similar snacks!
Q2 If it came up, in principle, do you think you’d recommend the Little Dish Go Gos to a friend or family member or not? Why? Definitely - they're convenient, tasty and fun (DD had a great time using them to look through Grin )

Q3 Which was your child’s favourite recipe/ flavour? I think the ginger - she seems to like all of them but she devours the ginger.
Q4 What other sweet snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old? Organix Oaty Bars, most types of fruit, boxes of raisins, very occasional milkybar buttons.
Q5 What savoury snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old? Babybel, breadsticks and dairylea.

Thank you for choosing us as product testers! We love Little Dish meals and will definitely be using the vouchers to try some new ones! :)

Very satisfied . I was amazed my 2 ate them as they usually turn their noses up at low sugar snacks but they went down really well. They loved the stickers too.

greatbigwho · 24/01/2016 17:14

Q1 Overall, how satisfied or dissatisfied were you with the Little Dish Go Gos?

Pretty satisfied! My 2yo daughter enjoyed them, although they do seem very dry! She enjoyed putting them on her fingers, and nibbling them like that :)

I love the stickers on the pack. Although the bag size is a good size for a snack, the stickers meat I could easily ration them, on the bus for example when I was feeding her snacks to keep her quiet ;-)

Q2 If Little Dish Go Gos were on sale at a price acceptable to you, do you think you would buy the products in future or not?

I think so, yup! I try and vary what I buy, so I might not rush out immediately, but I would definitely add them in to our rotation.

Q2 If it came up, in principle, do you think you’d recommend the Little Dish Go Gos to a friend or family member or not? Why?

Yup - as sweet snacks go, they're not too bad, and the oats etc mean they're not as refined as some snacks.

Q3 Which was your child’s favourite recipe/ flavour?

Ginger - although she'd have liked more ginger I think!

Q4 What other sweet snacks do you currently buy for your child/children
under 3 years old?

She's a big fan of Alpen Light bars at the moment - those and the strawberry Fruit Flakes are her current favourites.

Q5 What savoury snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old?

Breadsticks...umm. I don't generally buy savoury snacks! She tends to have some cheese, or ham, or carrot sticks if she wants a savoury snack.

Uneasypeasy · 24/01/2016 17:19

Thank you for choosing us for the product review!

Q1 Overall, how satisfied or dissatisfied were you with the Little Dish Go Gos?

Really satisfied. The raspberry ones were demolished quickly! The portion size is just right for my just turned three year old (the stickers to reseal the pack weren't needed for that purpose, although she enjoyed using it as a badge after finishing the bag).

I stole a couple and they were tasty enough - a good texture. For me they had a taste of Horlicks about them, particularly the vanilla, which I liked!

Q2 If Little Dish Go Gos were on sale at a price acceptable to you, do you think you would buy the products in future or not?

Yes, they are ideal for carrying around as an "emergency snack". They are a pretty healthy treat as biscuits go. DD can demolish a pack making only positive noises, so she'd be happy for me to buy them!

Q2 If it came up, in principle, do you think you’d recommend the Little Dish Go Gos to a friend or family member or not? Why?

Yes, I'd recommend them. They are not laden with sugar, and my DD says they are yummy, so that's a recommendation on its own!

Q3 Which was your child’s favourite recipe/ flavour?

Hands down the Raspberry ones. She also liked the vanilla ones, but won't even try the ginger ones (because the bag is orange - it's a toddler thing!)

Q4 What other sweet snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old?

Mainly Organix Goodies Soft Oaty bars, and Heinz biscotti. She also eats fruit as a snack.

Q5 What savoury snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old?

Nothing particularly toddler specific - things like cheese portions and cut up veggie sticks (cucumber, cherry tomatoes and carrots etc). Rice cakes are a solid favourite, though.

Coffeecoffeebuzzbuzzbuzz · 24/01/2016 18:46

Thank you for choosing my two year old ds to test these snacks.

Q1 Overall, how satisfied or dissatisfied were you with the Little Dish Go Gos?
I was very satisfied. My ds was very excited by the box and wanted to try them straight away. The packaging was practical (I especially liked the sticker meaning they could be resealed) and my ds liked all three flavours (although his favourite was the ginger.) I was happy with the nutritional profile of the Go Gos as a snack and my ds asked for his 'rings' on a regular basis throughout the week.

Q2 If Little Dish Go Gos were on sale at a price acceptable to you, do you think you would buy the products in future or not?
I would definitely buy them at an acceptable price as they are a useful snack to have and I like the fact they are portable and resealable with minimal mess.

Q2 If it came up, in principle, do you think you’d recommend the Little Dish Go Gos to a friend or family member or not? Why?
Yes I would recommend them for the reasons above.

Q3 Which was your child’s favourite recipe/ flavour?
My ds most enjoyed the ginger flavour but all three met with approval. From an adult perspective I found the vanilla flavour to be a little dry but this didn't seem to put ds off!

Q4 What other sweet snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old?
Dried fruit and vegetable bars, raisins, flapjacks and rice cakes.

Q5 What savoury snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old?
Low salt crisps (toddler ranges), cheese portions

Thanks again for giving us the opportunity to test these products.

Thegentlemonkey · 24/01/2016 19:40

Q1 I liked them - liked the packaging, amount in each pack and ingredients. All adults who tried them complained about how dry they were, but DS(5) happily ate all three flavours & viewed them as a real treat, and DD(1) ate the ginger - she wasn't so keen on the raspberry/vanilla though.
2 Yes I'd buy them - only the ginger flavour though as most popular with everyone
3 Yes I'd recommend them
4 For sweet snacks we buy bear rolls, apricots, raisins, fresh fruit.
5 For savoury snacks we buy Beeadsticks, no others really

Thegentlemonkey · 24/01/2016 19:43

Oops I missed specifically answering the favourite flavour question (on my phone & cant copy & paste questions so was going from memory), although as I said above as part of the other answers -definitely ginger.

confusedofengland · 24/01/2016 19:57

Just came back on to say - I can't find the link to the feedback survey we need to fill in! Would a kind MN bod please resend it to me? Smile

Sairelou · 24/01/2016 20:46

Q1 Overall, how satisfied or dissatisfied were you with the Little Dish Go Gos?

When my toddler tried them they were met with a big "mmmmmm" and when he had finished he was pointing at the pack for more so I would say he was very satisfied with them. I liked them too, though I don't think I would eat a whole pack at once. The toddler gobbled them up though. He also loved the sticker on the back.

Q2 If Little Dish Go Gos were on sale at a price acceptable to you, do you think you would buy the products in future or not?

Yes, I think around £2 a box would be reasonable.

Q3 If it came up, in principle, do you think you’d recommend the Little Dish Go Gos to a friend or family member or not? Why?

Yes. They are the perfect size to fit in the changing bag and the bag was small enough to fit in to my toddler's hand without him crushing the GoGo's inside.

Q4 Which was your child’s favourite recipe/ flavour?

The raspberry ones.

Q5 What other sweet snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old?

He only really has raisins as a sweet snack, or chocolate buttons as a treat snack.

Q6 What savoury snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old?

Crackers or breadsticks.

Thank you for letting us test these snacks, we love them. I will also be trying out some of the other Little Dish products using the coupons that were inside the pack, so thank you!

vickipickernicker · 24/01/2016 21:14

Q3 Which was your child’s favourite recipe/ flavour? Raspberry
