This thread is for the Mumsnetters who have been trying Little Dish Go Gos with their child aged 1-3.

Here's what they say, "Little Dish Go Gos are yummy mini oat biscuits that have been created in partnership with leading nutritionist Lucy Jones. Suitable from age one upwards, Go Gos are full of naturally good things like wholegrain oats, flax and chia seeds and protein which all help to deliver slow release energy and nourishment to your little one. Each little bag of GoGos provides three grams of protein, and is a good source of fibre."

Q1 Overall, how satisfied or dissatisfied were you with the Little Dish Go Gos?
Very pleased with them. Very handy that they were resealable as DS2 (1) wouldn't have managed the whole packet. It meant I could pop them in my bag as an out and about snack.

Q2 If Little Dish Go Gos were on sale at a price acceptable to you, do you think you would buy the products in future or not?
Yes, very likely.

Q2 If it came up, in principle, do you think you’d recommend the Little Dish Go Gos to a friend or family member or not? Why?
Yes, would recommend - the Little Dish brand is familiar to us too which helps.

Q3 Which was your child’s favourite recipe/ flavour?
DS1 (3) liked the raspberry. DS2 (1) enjoyed them all!

Q4 What other sweet snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old?
Humzingers, fruit flakes, raisins, fruit pouches.

Q5 What savoury snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old?
Cheese, organix snacks, bread sticks.

Q1. Satisfied. I liked the packaging and the stickers to reseal the packets. The biscuits were a good size and my daughter liked putting them on her fingers before she ate them. She doesn't have a big appetite so couldn't eat a whole packet in one but enjoyed having a couple at a time.

Q2. I would buy them again. They were useful for snacks when out and about.

Q3. I would recommend to friends

Q4. Her favourite was the vanilla flavour, she wasn't as keen on the ginger but quite liked the raspberry.

Q5. I buy the packets of mini risks, not the healthiest but my daughter doesn't eat much can be very fussy with snacks. She also likes packets of dairy free (tesco free from) buttons (allergic to milk).

Q6. She likes the carrot sticks (the ones that look like wotsits) when she is in the mood. If given the choice she would mostly snack on toast.

Thank you for letting us try these out :) . We found .....

Q1 Overall, how satisfied or dissatisfied were you with the Little Dish Go Gos?

Gosh, not thrilled really. Great packaging, little ones loved the stickers and I was satisfied they were healthier than lots of other snacks out there BUT the taste and texture just wasn't there and my twins (just 3) weren't keen. Only the ginger was tolerable to them and even then, not really enjoyed i.e. packet wasn't finished - unheard of! I was really disappointed as expected to love them based on the description, packaging etc.

Q2 If Little Dish Go Gos were on sale at a price acceptable to you, do you think you would buy the products in future or not?

No, because they just didn't like them much at all.

Q2 If it came up, in principle, do you think you’d recommend the Little Dish Go Gos to a friend or family member or not? Why?

I would as maybe their children would like the taste and everything else about them is good.

Q3 Which was your child’s favourite recipe/ flavour?

Ginger. Vanilla the least. I tasted them all too and felt the vanilla just tasted like an oatcake.

Q4 What other sweet snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old?

Fruit, fruit flakes/bars etc, rice cakes, yoghurts.

Q5 What savoury snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old?

Organix vegetable puffs, crackers, breadsticks, crisps, veg.

  2. My little boy liked ghe ginger ones a lot as he tried to take them out of the other children's mouths.lol.
  3. I usually buy raisins, fruit wiggles and little bears.
  4. Bread sticks, cheese, vegetable sticks, cheese biscuits. Anything that will keep them toppedup till the next meal time.

in the middle - DS didn't like them. But the adults did !

My DS bizarrely likes strongly flavoured foods so I think these may have been too bland for him

Q1 Overall, how satisfied or dissatisfied were you with the Little Dish Go Gos? Very pleased with this product. I loved the colour and size of the packaging, and the stickers to re-seal. I also noted the 'Good Energy Guarantee' and the list of ingredients on the back which were well laid out. I also liked that I could see the actual product on the front of the box.

Q2 If Little Dish Go Gos were on sale at a price acceptable to you, do you think you would buy the products in future or not? No. My son (aged 4) did not like them. We tried the Ginger flavour first which he said tasted horrible and they were too dry. He did not finish the packet. However my 19month old loved them (Ginger).

Q2 If it came up, in principle, do you think you’d recommend the Little Dish Go Gos to a friend or family member or not? Why? Yes, healthy and portable.

Q3 Which was your child’s favourite recipe/ flavour? Unfortunately my son did not like any of them. My daughter liked all of them. In order she liked Ginger, Raspberry and Vanilla. My son initially said he didn't like them but I did notice a few times that he took (stole) a few of his sisters biscuits so perhaps with continued exposure he may grow to like them more.

Q4 What other sweet snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old? Goodies bars, Raisins, Yoghurts Flakes

Q5 What savoury snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old? Pom-Bear crisps, carrot puffs, organix bars,

Q1 Overall, how satisfied or dissatisfied were you with the Little Dish Go Gos?
I was satisfied with the amount of snacks you got per pack. Other similar sized snacks aimed at toddlers do not meet my satisfaction when it comes to the quantity. My daughter also enjoyed the different flavours.

Q2 If Little Dish Go Gos were on sale at a price acceptable to you, do you think you would buy the products in future or not?
I would certainly buy the snacks If the price was acceptable.

Q2 If it came up, in principle, do you think you’d recommend the Little Dish Go Gos to a friend or family member or not? Why?
I would recommend the snacks to a friend. The reason being, the snacks are large enough for a toddler (my DD is 15mo) to pick out herself and eat. Also, she is able to hold the bag whilst in the car and feed herself rather than me handing them to her one by one.
Q3 Which was your child’s favourite recipe/ flavour?
Raspberry
Q4 What other sweet snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old?
Ellas kitchen pouches
Q5 What savoury snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old?
Organix

I've already left feedback, but I want to update: I didn't realise the packs had stickers on the back. No idea how I missed it, but my little boy has just had a pack of the vanilla ones and saw it. It's a brilliant, brilliant idea.

I'm forever shoving half-eaten packs of snacks into my bag. It's great to have a sticker on to stop the falling all over the place.

My kids really like them, I'll buy again.

AnnMumsnet · 04/02/2016 11:47

Thanks for allowing us to test. Apologies for delay, I thought I had already done it!
Q1- overall we were dissatisfied- purely as both boys didn't really like them. This is a shame as I was glad to see they were dairy free so it's a snack I can offer both boys.
Q2- no, we probably won't buy them.
Q3- yes I would recommend if a friend enquired about snacks.
Q4- they both preferred the vanilla, but didn't really like any of them.
Q5- I don't really buy much sweet snacks, the occasional chocolate buttons or raisins. They bot love fruit smoothie pouches.
Q6- they enjoy the occasional packet of crisps but tend to share mine. Sometimes breadsticks or rice cakes.

For what it is worth - I reported my DS was really not keen on these, but he eventually decided he actually quite liked them and was recently seen pulling the last of the empty packets out of the bin excitedly squealing 'snack! snack!'. So I guess I might be buying more after all!
