This is the feedback thread for the Mumsnetters who are testing out DisneyLife.

Here’s what DisneyLife has to say, “We’re so excited to launch DisneyLife, which will give the whole family access to its biggest collection of Disney and DisneyPixar movies, Disney Channels TV box sets, books, and music, in one place. Designed to be enjoyed at home or on the go as an iOS or Android app for tablet or mobile, DisneyLife will create magical moments for the family to share: from sing-a-long songs on the way to school; to movie nights at home; children’s TV shows on the move; and enchanting bedtime stories to read with Mum and Dad. For one monthly price of £9.99, DisneyLife will give you instant access to stream thousands of Disney Channels TV episodes, hundreds of movies, albums, and books – plus a free download every month from a selection of fun Disney apps. We’d love to know what Mumsnetters think about the new offering"

Check out our bloggers review of DisneyLife in the new video:

Non-testers: What is your favourite Disney or Pixar moment? Perhaps you love the opening sequence of Up? Or maybe your favourite is the Circle of Life from The Lion King? Whatever your favourite moment is, please let us know (with a spoiler alert if necessary!) and you will be entered in to a prize draw where one winner will receive a £300 DisneyStore voucher.

Testers, once you have tested DisneyLife for a little while, here are some questions to get you started, but please feel free to add your own comments too:

  • Which of your DCs joined you in testing the DisneyLife?
  • How easy did you find it to use DisneyLife?
  • Which films/programmes did you or your DCs watch? What did you and your DCs think of these?
  • What did you think about the range of content on offer on DisneyLife?
  • What was your overall impression of DisneyLife?
  • Would you recommend DisneyLife to friends or family? If so, why? If not, why not?

All testers who add their feedback will be entered into a prize draw where one winner will receive a £300 Love2Shop voucher.

Please note DisneyLife may well use your anonymous feedback comments on their website, on social media as well as possibly elsewhere.

Thanks and good luck,
MNHQ

Non tester here. My personal fav is when ariel songs her song in her secret cave. I can't help but sing along! Closely followed by Aladdin and Jasmines song i can show you the world. The songs in disney just get me every time!

TheBigRedBoat · 17/03/2016 11:18

None tester - absolute favourite moment, Ariel on the rock during 'part of your world'
Iv clearly passed it on as its my daughters fave part too!

Tester update...

I fed back early on regarding my frustrations with using the DisneyLife App. The main issue with having to login every time the App was opened was resolved within the first month, thankfully. I think, overall, it has lots of content but I still could not justify the £9.99 price tag. We have quite a few Disney DVDs, and the stories and music on the app didn't really appeal to my DDs. In fact, they haven't even opened the app in the past 2-3 weeks, so if I'd paid £9.99 I would've felt quite peeved it wasn't being used! That said, huge thanks for the opportunity to test and review MN and Disney Smile

Non tester here, my favourite Disney moment is the bare necessities dance in the Jungle Book. However my favourite Disney moment has to be when my parents took me to Disneyworld as a gawky, awkward, skinny 12 year old. Of course, I thought I was cool in my branded popper trousers and my baggy t-shirt. I saw the Pinocchio mascot walking around and ran up for an autograph. He wrote down in my book, 'You're beautiful'. I was made up. It was only afterwards I realised that this was a character, characterised by telling fibs! My parents giggled about that for the rest of the holidays.

Tester update
Thought I'd give an update towards the end of the trial. We recently gave some of the books on there a go, and DD (4) enjoyed them and I quite enjoyed them too as I'm sooo bored of reading the same books over and over again. Other than that, the app's just been used to occasionally watch Frozen Fever. Without the ability to view it on the main TV, without buying more technology, (and we have plenty of devices that could do the job already), it's of very limited use. Certainly not worth £9.99 per month, so I rang up yesterday to cancel. Customer services were very nice, I must say.
Also, the DCs are wondering about their video tester voucher - could MN perhaps give the appropriate agency a bit of a nudge? Thanks!

Non tester, it has to be the end of toy story three when Andy is passing on his toys and talking about their character. I cry every single time as he is driving away from them.

Ntinyn · 20/03/2016 15:28

Non tester.

Has to be the Lion King - the circle of life makes me cry every single time!

Tester
I wanted to update - as we have had the app for nearly three months, I would now say this is both DS and DD app of choice. Though sadly to watch the films and not use the books which I would prefer.

If the price per month wasn't so steep, I would have kept this going. But I am going to cancel which is a real shame. Especially as I have deleted youtube from my phone as DS is a little too good at using it.

I also found it has eaten a lot of my data while out and about and left me with no data half way through my mobile billing month.

In all, its a fab app. Kids love the instant access to the videos, but I cannot justify the £10 a month for it. We have amazon prime fire stick which costs less, and can be used on a whole load of devices.

JanieLovesLuckySocks · 22/03/2016 21:58

Non tester: has to be the jungle book. All of it. I introduced it to my 2yr old over Christmas and he loved the songs, especially 'I wanna be like you' and we giggled at my silly dancing skills!

PaulineFowlersGrowler · 01/04/2016 19:52

Non tester.....

My favourite Disney moment is all of lilo and stitch. alternative family situation beautifully and sensitively handled. Still gives me goosebumps

TheMasterBaker · 04/04/2016 08:04

Non-tester!

My favourite moment has got to be when Aladdin sets the Genie free :D

My 8 year old would like to add that her favourite bit is from Tangled when Rapunzel ties Flynn up in her hair and makes him fall over.

Voucher has arrived safely. Off for a spree tomorrow! Many thanks Disney and MN Thanks.

Moogdroog · 13/04/2016 20:34

Just. Wondering if any of the video testers have received their voucher? Has mine been lost in the post or are they being super slow about it?
