  1. Me, DS (5) and DD (3)
  2. I was surprised at how big they were. I was expecting smaller baubles that could be hung on a tree. They looked good though.
  3. We preferred the Oreos as they were individually wrapped.
  4. Yes I would.
ThomasRichard · 29/12/2015 10:12

Oh and why: because it's something fun for Christmas.

Q1. Who in your family tried the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles?
Me and my nephews aged 4, 8 and 13.

Q2. What did you think of the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles overall?
Very good. Great packaging, good size for an add on to a Christmas pressie or stocking filler. As for contents, we all loved the Oreo ones particularly although enjoyed both.

Q3. Did you have a favourite bauble? If so, which was it?
The Oreos one. We liked these sweets best but also, as other testers have commented, the individual wrappers were a good feature too.

Q4. Would you recommend Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles as a Christmas treat? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, the baubles are good fun and a great product as I'd expect from Cadbury. I'd particularly recommend the Oreo one as they tasted great and the way they are packaged means they would make an attractive little add on to a christmas pressie for this age range. I will be looking out for this to buy next Christmas.

Q1. Who in your family tried the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles?
Myself, and a girl aged 15 and two boys aged 10 and 8

Q2. What did you think of the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles overall?
We were all big fans.

Q3. Did you have a favourite bauble? If so, which was it?
The oreo ones - really nice.

Q4. Would you recommend Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles as a Christmas treat? If so, why? If not, why not?

I think it would be a nice present when visiting someone over Christmas, but I wouldn't buy it for my own children as a snack-type treat as there's a lot of packaging.

Who in your family tried the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles?
Me and dd (12)
What did you think of the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles overall?
Too big to hang on the tree, and otherwise an awkward shape. Difficult to open and too much packaging. I thought the chocs were nice, but a bit too sweet.
Did you have a favourite bauble? If so, which was it?
Surprisingly, it was the Oreo's
Would you recommend Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles as a Christmas treat? If so, why? If not, why not?
Not really - I wasn't blown away by them and neither were the dc. dd, who is a chocolate-addict has still got half of them left; she has eaten all her other Christmas chocolates. ds (10) has so far declined to try them at all but has eaten all his other Christmas chocs too.

Q1. Who in your family tried the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles?
Me and DH. DD 4yo tried one snow ball but she doesn't like milk chocolate strange child. The other DD is only 1 and we don't give her chocolate. However she did have great fun playing with the bauble after we'd eaten the sweets (yes I did see the safety warning, so it was actually perfect I'd already pulled off the ribbon in haste Smile).

Q2. What did you think of the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles overall?
I thought they were great overall. I did have a bit of trouble opening the lid (it took me a while to work out it was a screw top and by that point I had already yanked off the bauble ribbon Blush). However that may have been down to my keenness to get to the chocolate! I think they were a good size and I was pleased how much chocolate was inside each bauble.

Q3. Did you have a favourite bauble? If so, which was it?
We both surprisingly preferred the Oreo ones, although the snow balls are also great (quite like mini eggs). i found the snow bites didn't last as long as they were in small packets, so once you'd opened a packet, they were finished very quickly Blush. I liked the fact the Oreos were individually wrapped and actually managed to eat only a few at a time. This would also be better for passing round at Christmas in my opinion. Neither DH or I are particular Oreo fans, but these were really tasty and we kept going back for more.

Q4. Would you recommend Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles as a Christmas treat? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes I would although I suppose cost would be a factor. I think they are a good size for a Christmas treat or small gift and could work well as a stocking filler etc and perhaps more of a novelty than a traditional selection box. The kids liked the baubles and played with them once the sweets had gone.

mjmo0oseface · 30/12/2015 09:40

I (23) tried the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles with my 3 year old son and my 28 year old husband.

I was pleasantly surprised on opening the baubles as I didn't know what to expect! The snow bites came in little packets which my son loved sharing with me and the oreo chocolates came individually wrapped.

The baubles are the perfect size for slipping into a stocking. Although, this was my first year getting DH and DS a stocking and I just got little ones so as I already had a bauble-y type thing in DH's, I just put a few snow bite packets and a handful of oreo chocolates loose in his stocking. Once finished, you could even hang the baubles from your Christmas tree! ;) DS has ASD and loves anything that spins or rolls so the empty baubles doubled up as a toy for him which he was very pleased with!

I loved both products soooo much but I think the snow bites were my favourite. They certainly were DS' favourite and DH preferred the oreos! They were soo much fun to try and we will definitely be buying them again! On my many trips to the shops for that one last thing for the buffet, I've seen lots of trolley's sporting their very own baubles so it's catching on! I always feel well chuffed when I'm testing something and then I see others using it! So we will definitely buy again and be recommending them to others as a good companion to the usual Christmas chocolate boxes!

Thanks for letting us try these out! Our waist lines don't thank you, though! ;)

Q1. Who in your family tried the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles?

Me and my partner tried them, my little girl doesn't like chocolate (I know, I can't believe it either).

Q2. What did you think of the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles overall?

We really enjoyed them, they looked lovely and Christmassy and would be a lovely present. I loved the snow bites, very much like mini eggs and very addictive, but my partner loved the Oreo ones. I was a bit hesitant about the Oreo ones but they actually tasted really nice. I liked he packaging.

Q3. Did you have a favourite bauble? If so, which was it?
I loved the snow bites, really tasty and I like the separate packets meaning they could be easily shared out.

Q4. Would you recommend Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles as a Christmas treat? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, they look lovely and are a nice little touch. Love the bauble packaging. The price is fairly reasonable for such a product, and I thought there was a good amount in each bauble. I really love the snow bites and will be buying more of these!

Dolallytats · 30/12/2015 13:20

Oh well, I never did receive mine Sad. Sounds like you all enjoyed them though Smile

confusedofengland · 30/12/2015 19:47

Q1. Who in your family tried the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles? We all tried them - Me, DH, DS1 (7), DS2 (4) & DS3 (22 mos)
Q2. What did you think of the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles overall? I thought they are a great idea & a nice festive treat. It's good to have little bitesize pieces of chocolate rather than whole bars, too. However, I'm not too convinced about the packaging - the 'baubles' are too large to go on our tree, the string broke on one anyway & they are rather plain once empty. Maybe filled with tinsel or glitter they would make a nice decoration to hang elsewhere.
Q3. Did you have a favourite bauble? If so, which was it? We liked the Oreos best, they were yummy Grin
Q4. Would you recommend Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles as a Christmas treat? If so, why? If not, why not? I might recommend them as a stocking filler or similar if they were a reasonable price as they are a nice festive treat.

Thanks for this opportunity to try Christmas chocolate & Merry Christmas [santa] Chocolate

Q1. Who in your family tried the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles?
Me, DH, DD and DM.
Q2. What did you think of the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles overall?
I thought they were great, everyone enjoyed eating them and DD also liked that she could hang them off the tree.
Q3. Did you have a favourite bauble? If so, which was it?
We liked both, but the Oreo one seemed to be the favourite with the individually wrapped chocolates, generous amount of chocolate too.
Q4. Would you recommend Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles as a Christmas treat? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes I would recommend them, they make a nice change and are nicely packaged for a xmas treat.

Q1. Who in your family tried the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles?

Me & husband

Q2. What did you think of the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles overall?

Nice packaging for Xmas, liked that the snowballs were in individual packets and Oreos were individually wrapped so could be shared out and could eat a few without eating the lot "accidentally"

Q3. Did you have a favourite bauble? If so, which was it?

Snowballs my favourite (love mini eggs) Oreos were husbands favourite - he has a sweeter tooth than me.

Q4. Would you recommend Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles as a Christmas treat? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, if reasonably priced - baring in mind 'tube' chocolates are usually £1 and decent sized selection boxes can be £2-3. I would want to feel as though I was paying for chocolate and not just gimmick packaging

The Oreo one

Q4. Would you recommend Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles as a Christmas treat? If so, why? If not, why not?

HaveTeaWillSurvive · 02/01/2016 00:49

Q1. Who in your family tried the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles?
Me, my husband and son (3)

Q2. What did you think of the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles overall?
I thought they were a fun attractive : eye catching and tasty seasonal treat.

Q3. Did you have a favourite bauble? If so, which was it?
My favourite was the snow bites although DH and DS preferred the Oreo ones.

Q4. Would you recommend Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles as a Christmas treat? If so, why? If not, why not? I would the snacks were very tasty, however i'd prefer it if either the plastic shell was smaller or the baubles were filled more as they seemed wasteful from am environmental / excessive packaging point of view.

Thegentlemonkey · 02/01/2016 10:50
  1. Myself, DH, DS (5) and DD (1).
  2. DS loved the idea & we all liked the chocolates - I was disappointed they were so big though, we put them on the tree but they weighed down the branches & looked a bit out of place.
  3. We loved the individual Oreos, didn't like the snow bites so much.
  4. I don't think I would due to the size - old fashioned individually hanging tree decoration chocolates just look better. Nice treat to try though!
iklboo · 02/01/2016 11:29

Baubles now put away ready to refill for next year.

Ditsy79 · 04/01/2016 18:44

1 - me, dh and dd (2.5)
2 - great idea, but a bit too big to hang off the tree and I'm not sure I would pay the price.
3 - we loved the snowbites but thought the Oreo chocs were a bit too sweet.
4 - nice idea for a stocking filler etc but not practical for hanging off the tree

ZaiZai · 05/01/2016 09:23

Q1. Who in your family tried the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles?

My DH, 9yr old daughter and myself (my 1yr old daughter tried a few too)

Q2. What did you think of the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles overall?

I was very pleased with both baubles. Although too big to hang on the tree they make great stocking fillers. I liked the concept - very apt for Christmas. I bought some more to add to Christmas Eve boxes I made for family!

Q3. Did you have a favourite bauble? If so, which was it?

My favourite bauble was the snow bites as I am not a huge fan of Oreos. I liked that they reminded me of Cadbury's Mini Eggs although would have liked to have more in the bauble!

Q4. Would you recommend Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles as a Christmas treat? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would definitely recommend Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles. They make great stocking fillers for all ages and taste yummy! I would like to see more variety on offer though.

CarisseCreations · 05/01/2016 09:55

Q1. Who in your family tried the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles?

Myself (Female 21) Son (5) Daughter (4)

Q2. What did you think of the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles overall?

Oreo: Im Not And Oreo Fan And Neither Is My Daughter. However We All Loved The Texture And The Taste! It Didn't Really Taste Like Oreo But Was The Perfect Amount Of Smooth Filling With A Subtle Crunch. I Would Buy These Again!

Snowbites: Wow! These Are A Personal Fave! They Are So Yummy I Love How The Icing Sugar Make The Snowbites Feel As If They Are Melting In Your Mouth! And The Crisp Shell Compliments The Solid Dairy Milk Inside!
Packaging: Was Great, Easy To Open, They Can Actually Hang On The Tree Without Falling Off! They Would Be A Great Stocking Filler Or Treat To Enjoy With The Family Snuggled Up Watching Xmas Films, I Dont Think I Can Have Another Christmas Without These! (Wish They Were Year Round!)

Q3. Did you have a favourite bauble? If so, which was it?

We All Agreed On The Same Favourite, The Snowbites!

Q4. Would you recommend Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles as a Christmas treat? If so, why? If not, why not?

Definitely, I Actually Saved Some Oreo Bites For My Partner (Not Just Because Me And The Kids Enjoyed The Snow Bites!) Who Is A Fan Of Oreo's And Now Also These! The Only Thing I Would Say About Improving Is To Make The Choking Hazard/ Age Range On The Product More Obvious As I Think Some People May Not Think Twice!

Thanks Mumsnet And Cadburys For Sharing These Lovely Products With Us :)
