Q1. Who in your family tried the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles? My daughters of 5&8yrs old, my son of 2 yrs old and husband and me.
Q2. What did you think of the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles overall? We liked them very much. We hung the baubles in the Christmas tree, they were a bit heavy, but with support of another branch they looked good in the tree. After all the chocalat was finished, we removed the 'Cadbury' plastic from the baubles and filled them with glitter, so now they are still looking pretty on the tree. The chocolat inside the baubles was very much appreciated by all of us.
Q3. Did you have a favourite bauble? If so, which was it? Chocolat-wise we preferred the Snow Bites, but I thought the idea of having individually wrapped chocolates, like the Oreo ones, was nicer.
Q4. Would you recommend Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles as a Christmas treat? If so, why? If not, why not? Yes, especially if they would have individually wrapped chocolate in them, I thought it looked a bit 'cheap', just having a few loose bags of chocolate in a bauble. I like it that the baubles can be used afterwards for somethings else Christmassy.

CombineBananaFister · 21/12/2015 08:47

Me, husband, son, nannan and grandad tried them.
Packaging fab, that nostalgic purple we love (being re-used as we speak) much bigger than expected so ideal alternative to a selection box. like that the snowbites are individually packeted but could be less in each and more packets - portion size a bit generous
it was a gender split on preference - males preferred snowbites because they were like minieggs, ladies went with the oreos
We would recommend - as my husband put it, he gets to eat something like minieggs without waiting til Easter hah!

Q1. Who in your family tried the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles?
My three daughters aged 14, 12 and 7 plus myself.

Q2. What did you think of the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles overall?
They are a great idea, very different and perfect for Christmas. Have already been out and bought more as I think £3 is a good price.

Q3. Did you have a favourite bauble? If so, which was it?
I personally liked the Snowball ones as they were very different to any other chocolate and tasted delicious. My daughters liked the oreo ones best.
Q4. Would you recommend Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles as a Christmas treat?
Yes definitely would, have already bought some more, they will be on my Christmas list for next year.

Thanks for the opportunity to try these, they are great! Well done Cadbury.

Q1. Who in your family tried the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles?

My Partner, 2 y/o DS, PILS, 2x friends of the family and me

Q2. What did you think of the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles overall?

DS was fascinated by the "balls" and very quickly cottoned on that there were treats inside. They were too heavy to put on our tree though.

Q3. Did you have a favourite bauble? If so, which was it?

We all preferred the Oreo bauble as they were quite soft and chewy. No one really liked the outer shell of the snow balls, tasted very saccharine, although the centre was delicious. They reminded me of mini eggs.

Q4. Would you recommend Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles as a Christmas treat? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would recommend the oreo treats, a fun gift for children and also has the added bonus of a handy wee pot to keep the small items that DS inevitably collects and wants to keep!

Q1. Who in your family tried the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles?
Myself, DH, DD 3 and DD 1
Q2. What did you think of the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles overall?
Scoff scoff nom nom they went down very well to our tums
Q3. Did you have a favourite bauble? If so, which was it?
The lot all love the Oreos, but mine were the snow balls as the reminded me of mini eggs and I love love love those
Q4. Would you recommend Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles as a Christmas treat? If so, why? If not, why not?
Most definitely! Not only did we much enjoy eating the chocolate, my DD's then played with the baubles themselves

axlbaby · 21/12/2015 15:32

Q1. Who in your family tried the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles?

All of us tried them. DH, myself and two girls (5 and 3).

Q2. What did you think of the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles overall?

Really liked them. Thought the packaging was a fun idea for Christmas and the chocolates were lovely!

Q3. Did you have a favourite bauble? If so, which was it?

Snow Bites as they reminded me of mini eggs which I love! Both the girls preferred these too and they disappeared very quickly. It was a shame they were in large bags as was easier to share the Oreo ones. Though the Oreo ones weren't as popular and I got to eat a lot more of those!!

Q4. Would you recommend Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles as a Christmas treat? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I think I would. We are going to reuse the cases to make Christmas presents for grandparents too!

TeacherKS1 · 21/12/2015 15:40

Q1. Who in your family tried the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles?
Me, DH, DD (10), DS1 (7) and DS2 (4).

Q2. What did you think of the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles overall?
We all thought they looked great, very Christmassy. There were plenty of chocolates in them to share, too.

Q3. Did you have a favourite bauble? If so, which was it?
I preferred the Oreo chocolates. I'm not very keen on Oreos so wasn't expecting to like these very much. I was pleasantly surprised, they were gorgeous! DD preferred these too. There were about 20 chocs in the bauble too, plenty to share. The two DSs preferred the Snow Bites.

Q4. Would you recommend Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles as a Christmas treat? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes I would. They are a fun stocking filler or teachers gift. DD says no because chocolate can sometimes be a disappointing present (we may need a DNA test) but would make a great extra present for Boxing Day. They're a bit heavy to hang on the tree which is a bit of a shame but otherwise a really fun little gift.

We all really loved testing these. The DC's faces when we opened the parcel were a picture! Thanks very much Mumsnet/Cadbury.

Doubtfuldaphne · 21/12/2015 16:55

Q1. Who in your family tried the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles?

Myself, my daughter (4) and my son. (age 15)

Q2. What did you think of the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles overall?

The packaging was excellent, in the shape of a large bauble with a ribbon attached in a small loop for hanging. It was easy to open and contained a fair amount of chocolate inside. The chocolate tasted fantastic by the way!

Q3. Did you have a favourite bauble? If so, which was it?

I loved the snowballs but I would not give these to my dd as I was worried she might choke.

Q4. Would you recommend Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles as a Christmas treat? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would definitely recommend these as they look lovely and would make a nice little gift. The chocolate tasted very good too!

skyeskyeskye · 21/12/2015 19:01

Q1. Who in your family tried the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles?

Myself and 7yo DD tried them.

Q2. What did you think of the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles overall?

The baubles are a lovely idea. They fastened securely and everything inside was wrapped, so if they did come apart and scatter everywhere, none of it would be ruined. I would like to see an extension of the chocolates, next year I would like to see individual Cadburys Caramel, or Turkish Delight in them.

Q3. Did you have a favourite bauble? If so, which was it?

My favourite was the Snow Bites, but DD preferred the Oreos.

Q4. Would you recommend Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles as a Christmas treat? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would, but I would like to know the price. From what I can see online they seem to range from £3-£4, which I think is quite expensive.

ShouldHaveStayedHome · 21/12/2015 19:12

Q1. Who in your family tried the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles? Me, DH and 3yo DD.
Q2. What did you think of the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles overall? Liked the idea a lot. Although DD tried to hang them on the tree, but of course they were too heavy so ended up under the tree until eaten.
Q3. Did you have a favourite bauble? If so, which was it? Our favourite was the oreo, because we prefered the individually wrapped chocs instead of a pack of multiple chocs. However we found that they didn't taste a lot like oreo because they didn't have enough of the crunchy biscuit. We found that the snowbites were too sugary and it got all over our fingers, tasty though.
Q4. Would you recommend Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles as a Christmas treat? If so, why? If not, why not? Yes, recommend them. More flavours and all individually wrapped inside would make a nice Christmas range.

LishK · 21/12/2015 20:49

Q1. Who in your family tried the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles?

Myself and my 5 and 3 year old boys.

Q2. What did you think of the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles overall?

They looked fantastic and the boys were really excited to open them. Much bigger than I expected.

Q3. Did you have a favourite bauble? If so, which was it?

Close call but would have to say the Oreos one. The snowballs were too crunchy for the little ones, although I loved them.

Q4. Would you recommend Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles as a Christmas treat? If so, why? If not, why not?

Definitely, they feel like a really special treat, yummy and a fab stocking filler for friends. More please :)

Climbontoyourseahorse · 21/12/2015 21:03

Q1. Me and 3 children tried the baubles, DD 17, DS 11 and DS 5.
Q2. They were great, lovely chocolate and the baubles can be reused.
Q3. I preferred the snow bites but the DC liked the oreo ones best.
Q4. Yes I would recommend them as a Christmas treat and will be buying them again.

daisyjean2008 · 21/12/2015 21:06

Myself and my children aged 7,6 an3 tried the Cadburys Christmas treats and loved them. Cadburys are our favourite chocolate and these were just as good. The design of the packaging was fund and different for a start. We liked both the snow bites and the oreos balls as they not only had great taste but some crunch in the texture too. We would buy these again. Delicious again Cadbury.

VodkaLimeSodaIce · 21/12/2015 21:21

Q1. Who in your family tried the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles?
Myself, DH, DS (6) and DD (14)
Q2. What did you think of the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles overall?
Good idea, fun, but DS was disappointed that the bauble wouldn't hang on the tree as it was heavy!
Q3. Did you have a favourite bauble? If so, which was it?
I loved the Oreo one, but DH, ds and DD all loved the snow bites. They said they reminded them of mini eggs. I wasn't complaining as it meant I got more Oreo ones 😁
Q4. Would you recommend Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles as a Christmas treat? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, i would. They are a little bit different to the usual selection box, and more of a sharing gift. We did find the bags that the snow bites were in a little difficult to open, ds couldn't do it on his own.

idleweiss · 21/12/2015 21:58

Q1. Who in your family tried the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles?
My DH, DDs (5 & 3 years), Friends & their DCs, even my french MIL!

Q2. What did you think of the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles overall?
I thought they were a fun idea, I liked the novelty of the packaging and thought they would make great little gifts too. (My LOs have also reused the baubles to keep their 'treasures' in)

Q3. Did you have a favourite bauble? If so, which was it?
The Oreo one, everyone seemed to like it the best as the individually wrapped sweets made it better for sharing plus they enjoyed the Oreo chocolates the best too!

Q4. Would you recommend Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles as a Christmas treat? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, they are a fun, novel, tasty festive treat, that would make good presents, stocking fillers or just enjoyed between family & friends over Christmas!

cmc1976 · 21/12/2015 22:17

Q1. Who in your family tried the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles?
I tried them along with my dd (4) and ds (21 months).

Q2. What did you think of the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles overall?
I think they are a nice idea at Christmas and a change to the usual selection boxes or tubes of sweets. I like the Oreos being individually wrapped as opposed to the little bags of snow bites.
Q3. Did you have a favourite bauble? If so, which was it?

I preferred the snow bites as they reminded me of mini eggs, the kids enjoyed the Oreos more as they were softer.
Q4. Would you recommend Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles as a Christmas treat? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would as per above, different to the selection boxes and tubes of sweets, would like to see more different kinds too.
Thanks for letting us try them!

sufferkate · 21/12/2015 22:21

These arrived just in time Wink
They were tried my myself (34), The Husband (35), and my sons (3 and 5). They were a big hit, especially as they could be resealed. My daughter (10 months) loved playing with the baubles and doing Baby Bowling.

Taste wise, I preferred the Snow Bites, but would've liked it if they had been individually wrapped like the Oreo ones. It made it difficult to just snaffle the odd one and meant I had to sneakily eat the entire bag Grin

The Snow Bites were like sweeter mini eggs, although The Husband thought they were more like big smarties. The Oreo ones didn't seem biscuity enough, but were nice. I would definitely buy the Snow Bites if they were individual as they were quick and easy bribery for the kidlets.

Overall I would recommend them, and would buy them as stocking fillers as they are fun, and quirky, with enough chocolate to dip in and out of.

Q1. Who in your family tried the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles?
myself, my husband, my 3 year old son
Q2. What did you think of the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles overall?
very tasty, loved that you can hang it on the tree and help yourself whenever you fancy. fantastic idea
Q3. Did you have a favourite bauble? If so, which was it?
the oreos cadburys chocolates as you could just dip in and take one at a time
Q4. Would you recommend Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles as a Christmas treat? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would 100% recommend the Cadbury dairy milk baubles. what a great idea, the kids love it, I love it, would buy next year and every year

moojie · 22/12/2015 07:56

Q1. Who in your family tried the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles?
Myself and my 2 boys aged 3 and 6yrs

Q2. What did you think of the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles overall?
Lovely packaging, too heavy to hang on my tree though. Easy to open. Loved the Oreo ones but none of us that keen on the Snowballs - they seemed so dry.

Q3. Did you have a favourite bauble? If so, which was it?
The Oreo ones - so delicious!!

Q4. Would you recommend Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles as a Christmas treat? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would recommend the Oreo ones but not the snowballs for the reasons stated above.

Dolallytats · 22/12/2015 08:05

Anyone else still not received theirs?

fourmonthstogo · 22/12/2015 08:13

Q1. Who in your family tried the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles?

Me, Dd (4) and DH

Q2. What did you think of the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles overall?

Quite a nice idea, DD found them v exciting. I liked the individually wrapped oreo packets (although I didn't like the taste) as they make a nice little treat.

Q3. Did you have a favourite bauble? If so, which was it?

I really didn't like the oreo, far too sweet and cloying. But dd and dh did. I enjoyed the snowballs but thought there were slightly too many in the individual packet.

Q4. Would you recommend Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles as a Christmas treat? If so, why? If not, why not?

Not the oreo ones, not a nice taste, but perhaps the snow ball ones. I can't see me actually putting them on a tree though.

SuzCG · 22/12/2015 09:00

Thank you to Cadbury and Mumsnet for our festive treat!

Q1 - our family (husband, son aged 9, daughter aged 6 and myself) tried them. And we also shared with extended family (grandparents) who came for Xmas last weekend)
Q2 - in universal agreement that we genuinely did love them. Cute idea for packaging - they look great.
Q3 - No favourite, both were nice - and no one could agree which was nicest. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised with the Oreo ones (not being a huge fan of the actual biscuits) - I really did like these. And the Snow-bites remind me of mini-eggs, which I do like - so these were a seasonal hit with me anyway.
Q4 - Ooh, yes, would definitely recommend. Lovely stocking filler or small present for anyone, big or small. I much prefer these to a selection box, where I think you always end up with something you don't like. Yummy chocolates in these and so much more nicely presented and packaged.

Thumbs up from our family! Thanks again to all concerned and Merry Christmas!!

BathshebaDarkstone · 22/12/2015 09:22

We finally got them yesterday after 2 attempts at redelivery.

I, DD 8 and DS 4 tried them.

I think that they're very attractive.

I didn't have a favourite, DD's were the Oreos, DS's were both! Grin

Yes I would recommend them as a Christmas treat, they were delicious, and almost everyone loves chocolate! Grin

BathshebaDarkstone · 22/12/2015 13:57

Would like to add, we're getting another Oreo one today just for puddings! GrinChocolate
