This thread is for the 250 Mumsnetters who have been trying Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles in the lead up to Christmas.

Here's what the team at Cadbury says: "We’re releasing a new set of Cadbury chocolate treats to add even more joy to Christmas stockings this year! Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles are a Christmas bauble gift containing individually wrapped Cadbury Dairy Milk Oreo chocolates or Cadbury Dairy Milk Snow Bites. Perfect for gifting to friends and family or hanging on your Christmas tree."

Testers: Below are some questions we’d like you to answer but feel free to add any other thoughts you may have.
Q1. Who in your family tried the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles?
Q2. What did you think of the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles overall?
Q3. Did you have a favourite bauble? If so, which was it?
Q4. Would you recommend Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles as a Christmas treat? If so, why? If not, why not?

All testers who give their feedback on this thread will be entered into a prize draw where one winner will receive a £200 Love2Shop voucher.

Thanks & good luck,
MNHQ

Thanks for letting us try these!

  1. Me and my husband tried the baubles, our little boy is too young.
  2. I liked them a lot overall. Both varieties tasted lovely although the baubles themselves were too big for the Christmas tree. They would be good for storing small items in if you wanted to use them afterwards. They looked like a treat and were very appropriate for Christmas.
  3. We both preferred the Oreo ones but liked both. We liked that the Oreo ones were individual so you could enjoy them with overindulging. The snowballs also tasted very nice but it was too easy to eat the full bag once you started!
  4. Yes I think they would be an alternative to standard boxes of chocolates/sweets. They were indulgent, like a treat should be.

Thank you for letting us try these and sorry for late response!

Q1. Who in your family tried the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles?
Myself, DH and DD (nearly 4)
Q2. What did you think of the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles overall?
Liked the appearance of them although too big for the tree. DD is still playing with them.
Q3. Did you have a favourite bauble? If so, which was it?
I preferred the Snow Bites. Like others have said they were a bit Mini Eggy. DD loved both as did DH. I found the Oreo ones to be a bit too sweet.
Q4. Would you recommend Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles as a Christmas treat? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes. I think they would be a nice treat for children as an alternative to selection packs etc. I think I would buy them next year.

Q1. Me, my husband and 7 year old son
Q2. I liked them but they were quite heavy for the tree (I soon reduced the weight!) so I was nervous of hanging them
Q3. We liked the Oreo one as you didn't have to eat a whole (albeit small) packet)
Q4. Yes, but probably just the oreo one as the Snow Bites only had a few packets so didn't last as long / hard to give out and share.

Q1. Who in your family tried the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles?
Me, dh, dd's aged 4&1

Q2. What did you think of the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles overall?
We really liked them, they hung on our tree until they were all eaten and our 1 year old loved getting them off the tree and having some.

Q3. Did you have a favourite bauble? If so, which was it?
Dh's was Oreo for sure, me and the girls liked them both equally.

Q4. Would you recommend Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles as a Christmas treat? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would, I think they look novel, have small enough treats inside and are easy to share around the family.
Thanks for picking us!

Me, DH and DC (3 & 6) tried the product.

Overall they are fun, but are quite expensive for the amount of product you get inside.

I liked they Oreo one, the others preferred the Snow Bites.

I would recommend them.

Q1. Who in your family tried the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles?
Me, Partner and Daughter

Q2. What did you think of the Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles overall?
Great new idea, they really felt festive. Ours went under the tree, too large and heavy to hang on a Nordman fir tree not to mention the spines that would have dropped off every time it was moved. But nice that they could be hung. Struggled to get in, it was only after breaking into the first that I realised they screwed off (partner however worked this out first time!). Could the ball be sealed with the chocolate loose inside? Quite wasteful external plastic packaging once used, which I belive cant be recycled by the kerbside..

Q3. Did you have a favourite bauble? If so, which was it?
The Oreo's were delicious and really moreish. These were the easiest to share. The Snow bites we felt came in too larger bags for sharing but were still delicious. Favourite has to be the Oreos.

Q4. Would you recommend Cadbury Dairy Milk Baubles as a Christmas treat? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes. A very festive chocolate treat that can also be hung up as a decoration. Shame the plastic packaging is wasteful, could you indicate if it can be recycled?
