Q1. Were you aware of Snazaroo face paints before taking part in this product test?
No I had never heard of them- had only bought generic facepaints from supermarket before, which left DD1s skin in a terrible state after
Q2. What were your overall impressions of Snazaroo’s Halloween facepaint?
I thought it was really good actually! Like everyone else, it was like the krypton factor trying to get the plastic off each of the colours and ended up with a good bit under my nails, but aside from that I thought it was a good tester selection.
I thought the booklet was great, the girls really enjoyed looking through the designs and picking what they wanted. A little bit annoying that there was no yellow - DD1 was very put out by this and I couldn't for the life of me remember if you could make yellow from mixing other colours (I had to google in the end) so some of the designs didn't make sense.
Q3. Which facepaint design did you use on your DC to test out Snazaroo’s Halloween facepaint?
DD2 in the picture only ever wants to be a pumpkin for Halloween (4 years and counting) so she was very happy with my (prettycrap) attempts. DD1 wanted to be my little pony (!) and that was beyond my booklet and skills!
Q4. How easy did you find the face paint to apply and use?
I definitely need practice - not the sort of person that paints my nails, wears makeup etc, but i thought the instructions were excellent and the pain went on really smoothly. The sponge was a bit rough so I bought some foundation sponges from primark and they worked much better and didn't retain so much of the previous colour. But for a complete novice, I thougth it was really very good and I can see myself doing it on a rainy day and practicing.
The only negative was I couldn't get the orange off DD2's face. Even 5 days later after baths and face washing her eyebrows are a little bit orange! I would use a primer next time which hopefully leave me with a less orange child! (you tube very helpful for information and ideas!)
Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Snazaroo facepaint to friends and/or family? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes I would def. recommend. DD1 who reacted very badly to other paints, was absolutely fine (if not a very good pony) the booklet was good and overall it was great fun!
Q6. In future, how likely are you to consider buying Snazaroo facepaint if you were in need of face paint? Please explain why.
I am actually thinking about buying some more, as we all enjoyed ourselves and as the girls are still really young I'd get good use out of it. Just have to save up, as not cheap - but I would rather buy a good quality product that I can rely on origins of ingredients that something else cheap off the interenet that wouldn't be the safest for the girls skin
Thanks for the opportunity to test - we really had great fun!
