Q1. Were you aware of Snazaroo face paints before taking part in this product test?
Yes I'd seen them in the shops in the party sections in The Range, Tesco and Hobbycraft.
Q2. What were your overall impressions of Snazaroo’s Halloween facepaint?
The colours had been chosen carefully, there were only colours that were suited to Halloween faces that you might want to do such as vampires, pumpkins, witches and devils. I wasn't after any colours that weren't there so I thought it was a good selection.
Q3. Which facepaint design did you use on your DC to test out Snazaroo’s Halloween facepaint?
My daughter wanted a vampire, as did her friend so I painted both of them up as pale faced vampires with heavy black eyeliner, purple eyelids and painted on fangs and dripping blood.
My son refused to be a pumpkin and chose to be a tiger instead, which helpfully I had the colours for so that worked out fine!
Q4. How easy did you find the face paint to apply and use?
The paints were surprisingly easy to use in terms of achieving a good result. You do need a steady hand for more involved designs but I found that I was able to achieve quite a good facepaint on the first go which I hadn't expected - I had wet wipes ready but didn't need them. The instructions were easy to follow, and the suggestions in the leaflet were helpful direction as to how to recreate them or use them as inspiration for another design. The inclusion of a sponge is fantastic, as it made painting the whole face one colour very easy and there's a little indent for mixing colours too should you need to, in the tray. One paint brush is provided which is flat headed and it worked well on all sorts of designs.
Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Snazaroo facepaint to friends and/or family? If so, why? If not, why not?
I definitely would. It is, as I've said above, extremely easy to use, it washes off faces easily and it comes out of clothes (just as well when you are putting facepaint on toddlers). My daughter has sensitive skin but it wasn't bothered by the use of the paints.
Q6. In future, how likely are you to consider buying Snazaroo facepaint if you were in need of face paint? Please explain why.
I'm very likely to buy some more when this runs out. The children really enjoyed me doing the designs on their faces and I've been looking up inspiration online to try different designs. They even had a go at doing themselves (slightly less successful) and it's something we've had out several times since we got them. I'd like a bigger range of colours and so I'll probably get a bigger pack next time and some more sponges. I can definitely see the potential for birthday parties and playdates and well, just rainy days really. Total win, can't believe I've been wasting so much money all these years paying for other people to do something I can do just as well at home.
