This is the feedback thread for the MNers who - along with their baby aged up to 6 months who are trying WaterWipes.

Here's what WaterWipes says: "Every time we change our baby's nappies, or use a wipe on their messy face or hands, we can be (without realising it) swabbing their sensitive, delicate, and highly absorbent skin with chemicals. Even when we reach for wipes labelled as "natural" or "sensitive", we do not realize how many ingredients and chemicals they actually contain, as we seldom scrutinise the ingredient list. WaterWipes contain only 2 ingredients: 99.9% Water and 0.1% grapefruit seed extract. Non-irritating to even the most sensitive of children’s or Mums’ skin, WaterWipes help prevent and alleviate nappy rash and other sensitive skin conditions. WaterWipes are the only baby wipe ever to be endorsed by Allergy UK."

More info on WaterWipes here waterwipes.com

Below are the questions they’d like testers to answer but please feel free to add any other comments which you may have:

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?

Please also remember to complete the short survey we email you!

All who take part and who add feedback as required will be entered into a prize draw where one tester will win a £300 voucher for the store of their choice.

Q1. I liked the wipes. They were thicker than all the usual wipes I buy. They are more durable, too.

Q2. Yes, it made me wonder about all the chemicals in other wipes. I always buy the sensitive option, but they contain lots of ingredients.

Q3. Yes. I used them on baby's face when he had a milky chin after a bottle. I wouldn't usually do that as I worry that he may have a reaction to other wipes.

Q4. Yes, I would and have recommended them! I personally find them too expensive to buy all the time, but I would buy them occasionally to keep for face wiping or in my travel bag or if they were on offer.

niffynoo · 05/07/2015 04:06

Q1. The wipes were large and came out of the packet easily without disintegrating (am really struggling with the new Huggies Pure on this front so this was v noticeable). The fact they came out easily and individually meant I used fewer on my wiggly baby.

Q2. Yes my children don't have sensitive skin but it was nice to have wipes that don't smell chemicals and won't leave the covered in all sorts.
Q3.
I used them a lot for face/neck wiping (especially as have a sicky baby). In fact I probably them more for this purpose then nappy changing.

Q4. Yes I would recommend them but with a comment that they are expensive. I will buy them now but more for faces and in case of nappy rash.

mapetitpuce · 05/07/2015 11:28

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?
I found the WaterWipes very pleasant to use, they were of good quality, nice and thick yet soft and gentle on my daughters skin. They also have a delicate fragrance which I like. They weren’t too dry either which some brands seem to be. My daughter does occasionally have a sore bottom when we use wipes but this didn’t happen with the WaterWipes.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?
Yes! I dread to think. Clearly nothing else is needed.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?
Entirely suitable to be used anywhere on baby’s skin.

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?
I would recommend them, I think they are gentle enough to be used from birth and a good choice particularly if parents are concerned about sensitive skin. They are more expensive than other brands though which is off-putting.

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?
I think the wipes are thicker and a little more durable, I use lots of brands of wipes including Aldi, Huggins and pampers. I do prefer these but largely because of them being all natural.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?
Yes it did. But then it doesn't bother my baby using the one with 'chemicals' in them, so I'm not that fussed.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?
Yes I tend not to use regular wipes on face unless I really have to. I use them for makeup removal but then make up removal wipes are pretty much the same price and more effective.

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?

No I wouldn't unless they were looking for such a product and had the money to spend because they are way way over priced.

Whyhasnooneusedvimesyet · 05/07/2015 19:44

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable? The wipe were larger than my usual brand and felt thicker but they felt very wet and tended to clump together when coming out the packet.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes? Yes but chemicals are a fax of life so this won't be an over riding factor in choosing wipes.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation? I was happy to use these on baby's face and hand for a general wipe down (also as an emergency wipe on carpet due to an "incident").

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not? If the cost was the same I would have no hesitation recommending but economics are usually a factor in deciding what brand to buy for myself and others.

Cockbollocks · 05/07/2015 20:36

Q1. They were larger and more moist. I didn't have any worries about my finger going through the wipes as they are definately stronger.

Q2. I do try to avoid certain chemicals, parabens for example, and the least amount the better in my opinion.

Q3. My older children have pretty sensitive skin so I avoided using wipes on their faces where possible, they have irritated them in the past. I think I would try these when my youngest is older as I think they may not irritate.

Q4. Yes, I like the wetness of them, very good for cleaning sticky newborn poo! I also like the strength of them and the chemical content appears to much more appropriate for tiny babies.

Cockbollocks · 05/07/2015 20:38

I meant to put that I'm sure the pack lasted longer because I didn't need to use as many on a change.

Mimosa1 · 05/07/2015 20:38

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?

I tend to use Pampers Sensitive, and they felt the same I've used, except that they didn't leave the somewhat unpleasant lotion residue. They are thick and strong. One thing that was different is that the water ran out a little when I took some out of the pack and put them in the travel bag, which doesn't happen with the other wipes. I realised afterwards that it says on the packet that they don't recommend doing this.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?

Yes!

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

Definitely came in useful for wiping my daughter's face often as she is teething and her hands, as she is constantly chewing them. I took the pack with me to Spain for a week's holiday and found them very useful to cool her down so would wipe her arms, legs, tummy and back if we were out and I could see she was getting too hot.

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?

Yes, I think they are great, even though they are a bit expensive. They were so useful on a hot summer holiday. My one reservation is that they are not widely available at my local supermarkets, so they would need to order online.

ToadyPoady · 05/07/2015 20:47

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?
The wipes were certainly of a better quality than my usual brand - each wipe was bigger, thicker and much wetter. I used fewer wipes with each nappy change, normally just one instead of two or three.
At times I felt the wipes were a little too wet and I had to either air dry or use a muslin to dry my DSs little bum.
The packaging is simple and effective but I prefer packs with a plastic lid.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?
Not especially, I had considered it when my DS was first born, and bought water wipes specifically to use in hospital and for the first week or so.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?
Yes, definitely. I felt more comfortable wiping my DS's face with these than ordinary wipes when we're out, but warm water and a clean flannel is a better option when at home.

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?
I would, if it wasn't for the cost - the price is 6 times that of my normal wipes, and even using half as many, I couldn't justify the price.

Graciescotland · 05/07/2015 21:45

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable? Thicker and a little larger than my usual brand.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes? Yes, I use baby wipes a lot round the house and if they can cut through grease you have to wonder what you're putting on your babies skin

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation? Absolutely when you're out and about otherwise a flannel would do

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not? I would although I know the price would put a lot of people off.

Dogsmom · 05/07/2015 21:58

Q1- I was a bit dubious that they would be better than the Huggies Pure that I have used for the past 2.5 years, with my older daughter I tried many brands but found none better than Huggies so stocked up for my second daughters arrival 18 weeks ago.

I was very pleasantly surprised that the Water Wipes equalled Huggies in strength and durability and were softer.

My baby daughter does suffer from nappy rash and at the time the wipes arrived I was about to try a 4th cream as I couldn't get it to clear up, instead I ditched the cream and only used the wipes and within a day the redness had gone down, I was quite astonished at how quickly it healed and do feel quite guilty that I had inadvertently causing her nappy rash by using chemical laden wipes.

I would say the only downside is that they often stick together and it can be awkward to get only one out of the packet especially when you have the babies ankles in one hand and are trying to get one out.

Q2- The word "pure" on the Huggies had always led me to believe they contained hardly any chemicals and I had never read the ingredients until Water Wipes recommended I did and I was shocked to see there are 8 ingredients compared to WW's two.

Q3- I did use them on my babies face and hands and it was reassuring to know I was getting her clean with minimal chemicals, they are very wet and make a good job of cleaning up a muddy toddler too.

4- I would definitely recommend them to others and have done, I wouldn't however switch to using them for my toddler who has no skin issues due to price, they are £2.49 for one pack whereas my current brand is £3.50 for 4 packs, I get through two packs a week so it's a big jump in cost.
I will however use them for my baby until she stops getting nappy rash.

  1. Water Wipes are nice and thick, very strong and retail their moisture well. I can't fault their quality and they have withstood every poonami DD has thrown at them! They compare well with every other wipe I have tried, only my current favourite (Simple) do the job as well in my opinion.

  2. Yes, it was great to know there are no nasties in them. I wouldn't contemplate using any other wipe on DD's face as she has eczema, but I have used these wipes a couple of times to clean off orange mush (weaning fun!), to no ill effect, which is great and more convenient than a damp flannel if out and about. I'm not as precious about her bum, but it's still good to know they are unlikely to irritate her.

  3. Yes, totally, see above answer!

  4. I would, although the cost is prohibitive so I think I would mainly recommend them for newborns, weaning babies and those with very sensitive skin.

mshell1231 · 05/07/2015 22:05

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?

I really liked the WaterWipes. They were thicker and had more moisture than other brands I have used. However, the extra wetness did mean that they stuck together easily in the pack so it was difficult to just take one wipe out of the pack.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?

Yes. My baby had slight nappy rash before I started using these wipes. By the time I had finished using these wipes, the rash had cleared up. I think the additives in normal wipes may have been the cause of the nappy rash.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

Yes, I used the wipes for wiping my baby's face and hands, clothes after feeding and milk spillages from the sofa!

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?

Yes. I would recommend the product to other parents, especially parents of newborns or if their baby has sensitive skin that might react to other brands of wipes.

katyk81 · 05/07/2015 23:02

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?

I really liked WaterWipes and found them much thicker and stronger than my usual Johnsons wipes. I found they mainly did a great job, although I felt I had to use more to clean up a particularly explosive nappy- perhaps because they were gentler they didn't seem to clean away quite as easily! I also noticed that because of the style of the wipes it was sometimes tricky to pull them out one at a time but maybe that was just me rushing around!

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?

Yes- I was shocked! I have a ten week old and as with the older two I always feel guilty for using wet wipes rather than cotton wool and water- the WaterWipes definitely provide a less guilt inducing option

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

I used them on my older children's hands and faces and actually having quite sensitive skin myself I would be interested to try them to remove make up. I can see them being a huge asset during weaning.

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?

Sadly I am put off by the price but I would have no hesitation in recommending them for those first few newborn weeks when you are just starting to get out and about with the baby, I will also be making sure I have a pack on hand for quick face clean ups once we reach weaning stage. All in all, it's lovely product which would be very appealing if the price could become a little more in line with others within the market.

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable? -
I really liked water wipes. They had a soft scent that wasn't over powering, they were thick enough to remove nappy changing dirt and were gentle on my baby's skin.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?
No, I didn't think about it until now. I will be checking the ingredients of my usual brand now though!

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?
I used them for face wipes and hand wipes when needed if my baby posseted so yes I think they are suitable.

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?
Yes they were great, although almost 3 times as expensive as my usual brand and with 2 under 3 I go through a huge amount of wipes so can't justify the cost sadly.

RedRoseMummy · 06/07/2015 09:28

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?

I found them effective and easy to use. They were thick and didn't tear when wiping with them. I found them very 'wet' which was great for wiping up mess but the pack did leak when I knelt on them by mistake, leaving me with a wet knee!

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?

Not really, I'm happy with the wipes we have been using and always use sensitive wipes. I know that the main brands do contain more ingredients but I would continues to use these rather than Water Wipes simply down to cost.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

I haven't found our existing brand to cause irritation and we use them for any number of purposes already. I used the WaterWipes in the same way and did find them effective for this purpose, they were used for wiping faces and noses and cleaning hands throughout the trial.

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?

I would recommend them to mums of children with skin which is sensitive to other brands but I did find them prohibitively expensive for my purposes at the RRP. I simply can't justify spending the same as three packets of wipes in our household budget for one. I would consider switching if my child had sensitivity to other wipes but not at the moment.

MaximumVolume · 06/07/2015 10:06

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?

The main difference from our usual wipes (Huggies) are that these are slightly stretchier/less likely to tear & that they are wetter.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?

If I had concerns about my baby's skin reacting, then I would consider using these, but so far we have had no issues with Huggies & the ingredients in those.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

Yes, but then I do this with my normal wipes.

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?

In cases of skin irritation, perhaps. They are good wipes, but a lot more expensive than bulk-buying Huggies.

PleaseGetOffTheTableDarling · 06/07/2015 10:11

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?
I really liked the feel of these - they were soft and strong and felt quite luxurious compared to some cheap brands. They were good at cleaning and easy to use (came out of the packet easily and not in big long clumps).
Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?
Yes. When DC1 was born I was conscious of not using too many chemical products, but if I'm honest convenience has been winning since DC2 came along. Using these wipes has refocused my attention!
Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?
Yes - I've got a very dribble baby who also likes to chomp his bottom lip. It was really nice to be able to clean his face without worrying about him ingesting chemicals.
Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?
I would, because of quality and lack of chemicals, especially to mums of babies with sensitive skin. The price is a bit off putting if I'm honest, at three times what I normally pay, but I would definitely be willing to pay that during nappy rash flare ups etc.

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?

There was a difference, I found them a little to wet and sometimes they stuck together whilst getting them out of the packet. They seemed a little thicker and stronger than my usual brand x

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?

It made me think about the chemicals in other wipes even sensitive ones however dd hasn't had any issues with other baby wipes.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

My 3month old is constantly dribbling so these were used to wipe her face.

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?

I would recommend them but they are expensive for something that is thrown away at nearly 3x the price of other wipes. I would consider reusable wipes before regularly buying these

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?

They were def more moist than my usual wipe which i liked, and seemed thick and strong, but no more so than my usual wipes (Johnsons or Lidl)

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?

Yes, and I'd be keen to use WaterWipes on a tiny newborn, but for my 1.5yo DS I'm happy to save money and use the cheaper ones, just becuase WaterWipes are SO much more expensive

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

I'm lucky in that my son has not got sensitive skin, so i'm not too bothered about what wipes i use, but yes, they'd be great for this use. however price is still important and I'd be keen to save money on wipes. i understand the importance of keeping chemicals away from little faces, but having seen my DS lick the pram wheels, i have learned the hard way that he will find something gross to stick his head in no matter what i do!

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?

Yes as they are so "clean" with ingredients - if money were no object they'd be my wipe of choice. And I'd recommend instead of cotton wool and water for a newborn as it's less faff. but they are expensive so if money is tight i wouldn't go for this brand.

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?

I found WaterWipes as good as any other wipe I've used, they did also seem thicker and softer, but to be honest I felt this was a waste of resource for something which ends up in the bin as I still had to use more than one for the major poonamis.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?

Not really - it was nice to know there were only 2 ingredients but my Dc don't seem to have sensitive skin so a few extra ingredients isn't really a concern for us.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

Yes, actually, due to the thickness I think these are more suitable for face wiping than bottom wiping. I also used one to clean up after a nosebleed, which it was good for.

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?

I would, especially a friend who had a baby with sensitive skin or excema etc. I would also consider keeping a packet in the car but not for everyday use.

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?

They felt lovely, really soft and good quality. They didn't tear up as I used them.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?

Yes, I hadn't given it much thought but will definitely read the packets now.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

I started using the wipes on my friend's baby who I look after. They have also been used for make-up removal, face-paint removal, cleaning muddy hands and feet and swiping down the table. My eldest DD actually pinched most of the pack to take to Glastonbury because she liked them.

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?

I would recommend them as an alternative to wipes with more chemicals.
However, there was nothing to suggest that they are any more biodegradable than any other wipes, which is a real shame as that's what I'm really looking for.

Thanks for the opportunity to test them.

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?

I thought they were great to use. Wet enough to shift poo but not slimy. Strong enough to deal with full on toddler nappies as well as newborn ones. Liked that they didn't smell sickly. Only criticism is that the packet tears really easily.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?
Yes. I hate using unecessary chemicals on my children, particularly when they are newborn, so Water Wipes are ideal.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation? Have used the wipes for cleaning hands; wiping my toddler's dirty face (a triumph as she has eczema so wipes normally sting); taking off my make up; and cleaning possets out of DD2's glorious neck folds.

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not? Definitely, especially for newborns or older kids with sensitive skin.

They're certainly wetter than the wipes I normally use and I have to admit, I found them less effective at removing the poo as they just sort of smeared it around more which was quite annoying. They were thicker and therefore stronger, but I didn't notice them being much softer.

To start with, no but I did check out the ingredients on our usual wipes. Chemicals don't really bother me too much though - I use chemicals every single day without giving it any thought.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

Yes and I would use them for wiping faces and hands after dinner. I use regular wipes for this job anyway

It's a difficult one. I probably would if the baby had sensitive skin but they are SO expensive that I would give the recommendation by saying "I know they are super expensive but you might want to try WaterWipes." rather than just saying OMG the wipes are amazing, you have to buy them!
