This is the feedback thread for the MNers who - along with their baby aged up to 6 months who are trying WaterWipes.

Here's what WaterWipes says: "Every time we change our baby's nappies, or use a wipe on their messy face or hands, we can be (without realising it) swabbing their sensitive, delicate, and highly absorbent skin with chemicals. Even when we reach for wipes labelled as "natural" or "sensitive", we do not realize how many ingredients and chemicals they actually contain, as we seldom scrutinise the ingredient list. WaterWipes contain only 2 ingredients: 99.9% Water and 0.1% grapefruit seed extract. Non-irritating to even the most sensitive of children’s or Mums’ skin, WaterWipes help prevent and alleviate nappy rash and other sensitive skin conditions. WaterWipes are the only baby wipe ever to be endorsed by Allergy UK."

More info on WaterWipes here waterwipes.com

Below are the questions they’d like testers to answer but please feel free to add any other comments which you may have:

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?

Please also remember to complete the short survey we email you!

All who take part and who add feedback as required will be entered into a prize draw where one tester will win a £300 voucher for the store of their choice.

Q1. The wipes were definitely thicker than the wipes I usually buy as well as a bit thicker ( and therefore easier to get out the packet!!)

Q2. I have mixed views about the ingredients in wipes. If they weren't safe to use then the products wouldn't be licensed. So whilst I am aware that there are preservatives in other wipes (I read the packet!) I wouldn't worry unduly - if I wanted a really simple product I'd just use a flannel dipped in water. But you buy baby wipes for the convenience and I can see that if my children had nappy rash then water wipes would be useful

Q3. The product is suitable for wiping faces, hands etc but a flannel does the job equally effectively. However if you are out and baby has sensitive skin I can see that it'd be more convenient.

Q4. I'd recommend the product, but only bin particular circumstances - ie if baby has nappy rash and you are trying to not irritate the skin. I think the price is prohibitive for every day use

  1. They were more durable than my usual brand and nice and soft, I enjoyed using them on my little bit.
  1. I was surprised at only 2 ingredients and definitely made me think about what I was using on my baby's skin.
  1. I would be comfortable using them on my little ones face and hands.
  1. A big yes, they are much kinder to my little ones skin.

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?
Thought they were great. They are thicker and larger than my normal wipes, and wetter which is very useful for dirty bums.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?
Yes, I am always worried about what I am putting on the baby’s skin. It felt nice to know these were completely natural especially if they already have nappy rash/eczema.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?
Yes, I felt happy to use these wipes where I wouldn’t normally – including on his face to mop up dribble and reflux.

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?
Depends on the price. I really liked them more than my normal brand so would consider switching if they were within my budget.

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?I liked how moist they were and found them softer than other brands but similar to Huggies which I currently use.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes? I like huggies so not too bothered.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation? I would be happy to clean faces, hands etc

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not? For functionality and gentleness yes but they are too expensive.

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?

They are nice wipes, I like the smell, they are a good thickness and nice to use. Don't rip when you are taking out of package either.
However, my main problem with these wipes is that they are not biodegradable. I'm sure water wipes used to be. I can't understand why you would take this backward step? A product selling itself as being natural, and at a premium price, should absolutely be biodegradable.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?
Yes, it's certainly a good ingredient list.
At home I tend to use cheeky wipes, which have an ingredient list of "water", and a splash of essential oil if you like, so it's nice to have a handy out of the house option or a back up for when you're not on top of the washing!

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

Yes I have used them on older children's faces, they loved them and said they smelled lovely.

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?

Yes, as an option when you want a convenient pack to carry I'd recommend cheeky wipes ahead of these though, for more general use.

PS make them BIODEGRADABLE!!

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?

I use Aldi sensitive wipes on a day to day basis as I've found them thicker than other supermarket own brands. They also have the clicky top that closes the packet so they don't dry out. I found water wipes to be of comparable thickness, much wetter but no softer or more durable. I also got horribly annoyed about how many would come out of the packet at once - when I wanted one, I got 3 or 4. At 5p per wipe, that's quite annoying! I think it was because they are wetter and they stick together. I also had to dry my baby's bum once I was using the wipes towards the end of the pack as they're so wet.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?

A bit, I'd looked before what was in my wipes. I use the sensitive ones as I can't bear the fake smell of the ordinary ones.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

I did use them for mouth wiping with a bit more confidence than usual wipes.

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?

Probably not - for newborns cotton wool pads and water is fine as they have such small bums! Plus water wipes are too wet. From a chemical avoidance point of view, I prefer cheeky wipes as they're much more economical after the initial cost - about 12 packs of water wipes (a month's worth?) cost the same as the cheeky wipe set up. I tend to use those for face wipes etc. I think the price point for Water Wipes is all wrong - it feels like the price plays on parents' anxieties about chemicals, babies and purity. Especially first-time parents. I think the price actively puts me off and would make me consciously recommend alternatives like cheeky wipes to friends thinking of using Water Wipes. It's made me a bit ranty just thinking about it!

Have I done this right? Just add feedback on this thread?
or
do I need to register somewhere for this particular questionnaire?

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?

Better quality is stronger (less likely to pull apart when wiping poo!) Grin
more "sensitive" on baby's skin, no irritation.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed

Yes, particularly when you consider how effectively you can use them for cleaning greasy things

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

Yes. Water wipes are the ONLY baby wipes I use on baby's face

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?

Yes. However, cost would be an issue for some ie they are more expensive than other brands and never on special offer!. Where I live they are £2.49 sterling. But in Republic of Ireland they are available in discount stores (similar to Poundland) for only Euro 1.49.

Please pick me, I never win these things!!!

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?

I enjoyed using Waterwipes. They were nice and strong, a decent size, soft and didn't feel like they would scratch my babies delicate bum. They didn't dry out either (if the ones on top felt a bit dry I just stored them upside down for a bit and problem solved).

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?

I don't normally use other wipes for this very reason. I use water and cotton wool or cheeky wipes, but that isn't very practical for out and about. Waterwipes are perfect for carrying in my changing bag instead.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

I'd happily use these to wipe both my baby and toddler down, face and hands. Again, I wouldn't normally use wipes for these jobs as both my kids have sensitive skin, but felt happy to use Waterwipes on them and they had no reaction.

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?

Yes definitely. I wouldn't buy other wipes, but will buy Waterwipes again and would definitely recommend them.

vallinnapod · 03/07/2015 13:32

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?

They caused less irritation than other wipes, both on my 6 month olds bottom and 4 year olds face. Miles thicker/stronger/softer than Huggies. On par with Pampers Sensitive for those attributes.

I really liked using them and actually bought more, the pack I bought was much 'wetter' - sorry if that sounds daft - and actually left my daughter a little red, but only because it was harder to 'dry her off' after a clean. I would continue to use them.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?

Yes, although i do think this is a little misleading. Most cosmetics contain the full chemical name for products, even if they are naturally occurring.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

Absolutely, tested them on my son's grubby face/hands. Also, they don't leave any chemical tasting residue on your own hands/face.

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?

Yes. Gentle on the skin. Good value too, if you buy in bulk.

6kidsandcounting · 03/07/2015 13:37

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?

I usually use honestly which ever wipe are on offer and was currently using the johnsons unscented wipes and the first thing i notice was how heavy the packet was of the waterwipes. They were durable and strong whilst being soft on the skin.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?

Yes normally i don't use wipes for face only the bottom, because these were natural and no nasty chemicals i didn't hesitate using them on my daughters face.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

Yes i have used them when we are out and about at the park etc also wiping down highchair quickly.

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?

We really liked the water wipes. I loved the size and thickness of the wipes though and the wipes were really moist so the pack seemed to last ages but as others have said the price may put me off as i have 5 children under the age of 6 and 2 in nappies i go through a lot of wipes. If they were on offer i would pick some up because i enjoyed using them.
I may recommend to friends/family to buy them for newborns or if the baby suffers from allergy/excema to justify the cost of the wipes.

Thank you for selecting us to test the WaterWipes.

Natjones17 · 03/07/2015 13:38

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?

I enjoyed the thickness of the waterwipes but found that they were not great for removing pen and general grumbiness from my toddler. My 5 month old liked the wetter wipe of the waterwipe.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?

As a chemist I am aware of the ingredients in other wipes and whilst there may be lots they are not bad! Chemicals are all around us and are mostly harmless!

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

Not great on my toddler for hand wiping.

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?

Yes for nappy changing not for general wiping.

velocityofbeans · 03/07/2015 14:04

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable? They were definitely thicker than the wipes we usually use, and wetter, which made them very good at cleaning dirty bottoms.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes? I have always been aware that there were lots of chemicals in other wipes, but using Water Wipes did make me wonder why there were so many.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation? I used them to wipe a sicky mouth a couple of times, and in a rush one day, used them to wipe my face too. Will happily do so again.

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not? I would recommend them to parents because they are pure, and do a good job. I would be a little hesitant though because of the cost.

sdaw86 · 03/07/2015 14:08

Q1 I found the wipes to be of good quality, stronger and more durable. The wipes came out of the packet one at a time which saved on my usual wastage. The wipes were also very moist which I found to be a positive as it meant I was able to clean my babies bottom with fewer wipes than normal. I also found them to be softer.

Q2 yes I prefer that the wipes only have two ingredients and it has made me question what is in the normal cheaper wipes.

Q3 yes I would use the wipes on my babies face and also used them on their hands and my own hands. They were very moist which made them very good for wiping.

Q4 yes I would recommend them to other parents. My sister in law swears by these wipes for her children with sensitive skin however previously I felt they were a bit expensive. Having used them I think that they are worth the extra money. You use fewer of them as they are stronger and more moist so this would probably mean the cost would balance out against a cheaper packet where you may have to use several more wipes on each nappy change. They also come out of the packet one at a time un like some other wipes I have used. There is also the added bonus of knowing they have fewer ingredients and my babies bottom has not been red during the trial. Even my husband who is a real bargain hunter agrees they are worth paying for as the packet lasts longer. I will be using these wipes again.

Elledouble · 03/07/2015 14:10

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?

I thought the wipes were wetter and more durable than normal wipes - I found I could clean up bigger messes with fewer wipes.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?

Definitely. On returning to my usual wipes I really noticed the fragrance and it made me think.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

Yes. If anything, I think they might be better for faces and hands - my son had a more sore bottom than usual while using the Water Wipes, which may be coincidence but perhaps was caused by the wetter wipes leaving more moisture behind. Maybe we should have dried his bottom before putting on a clean nappy, but I wouldn't want to have to do that all the time.

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?

Yes, but with the warning about the possible cause of my son's sore bottom.

Bicnod · 03/07/2015 14:46

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?

I really love using WaterWipes - they seem very durable, have no fragrance (which I prefer for delicate baby bottoms!) and definitely feel softer than most wipes I've used before. They are not thicker than other wipes but definitely softer.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?

Yes it did - I checked the packaging on some of my other 'sensitive' baby wipes and was surprised by the list of additional ingredients.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

Yes - I happily used the wipes on my 5 month old baby's bottom, face, hands and neck with no adverse effects. I wouldn't use other wipes on her face and neck.

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?

Yes, definitely. They are as gentle as cotton wool and water but far far far more convenient! You could use them on a newborn which is great and on little faces and hands as they have no chemicals in them at all. They are slightly more expensive, but buying in bulk reduces the cost. I've never had an incidence of nappy rash while using WaterWipes but have using other wipes. I love them!

IvegotaCaveTroll · 03/07/2015 14:54

1- work well at cleaning skin. Do not break during use
2- I have found other wipes are great at cleaning smudged household gloss paint (I wouldn't decorate without them)- however this means I would be worried about using them on baby skin. Only issue is that sometimes they can be a bit too wet at the end of the packet.

3- I used them for nappy changes

4- I would recommend for newborns but due to price they are not affordable for older babies

TipseyTorvey · 03/07/2015 15:04

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?

They are really lovely and thick, very easy to use. You don’t have to use very many even on the messiest bottom. I felt better about using them when my son had a touch of nappy rash compared to other brands.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?

Definitely but not to the point that I’d stop using other wipes, just that I would be cautious about using other wipes if my son had any soreness.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

I did think that, but then the main issue is the price. I would probably reserve Water Wipes for my baby and use the cheaper brand for general day to day use. To answer your second point, yes if my baby’s face was irritated then I would reach for the Water Wipes above the normal wipes.

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?

I would recommend them to any other mother whose baby was suffering from irritation or nappy rash, but I’ll be honest and say that I’d probably rave about how cheap the one’s in Aldi are first. Cost is a huge consideration whilst I’m on maternity leave and not earning.

BananaToast · 03/07/2015 15:06

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?

I found them ok. They were slightly more difficult to get out of the pack than some others I've used, and they didn't seem quite as wet, but they were soft and durable. Got the job done.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?

Yes, I went and had a look at the ingredients of other wipes I had in the house to compare.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

Yes absolutely. These wipes could be used in the same way as any other.

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?

Yes, I would for the newborn days because they offer a great and more practical alternative to cotton wool and water. However as babies get older it is probably cheaper to use regular wipes.

ShoeJunkie · 03/07/2015 15:06

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?
They were noticeably thicker than our usual brand. We use cloth nappies and a couple of wipes invariably find themselves going through the wash. The WaterWipes could almost have been used again after this.
Useful tip on the back to store them upside down meant that they were kept moist throughout the trial.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?
I knew that other wipes contain chemicals but we try and keep use to a minimum by using a face cloth for wiping hands and faces and cotton wool for nappy changes when at home.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?
See above - we try to use face cloths etc.

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?
Perhaps for children with sensitive skin and/or newborns but I am mindful that they are expensive compared to even other branded wipes.

uragod2me · 03/07/2015 15:08

Q1: I was very impressed by their size and thickness - they were also wetter than the budget brand I usually use. This meant I got more use out of a single wipe. I liked the softness too, they felt more like a cloth than a wipe.

Q2: It made me choose to use them (rather than the budget wipes) on the areas of my baby's face and skin that are prone to eczema. It also made me notice the fragrance of the budget wipes a lot more.

Q3: I used these for everything I might use a wet flannel or cloth for - faces, body, hands, furniture...

Q4: I would recommend them highly. However, the cost means I would probably also buy a budget brand as well, and use the WaterWipes for delicate skin only.

meran · 03/07/2015 15:51

I liked the size of the wipes bigger and stronger than other wipes. They had a nice smell. The packet did feel heavy though.

The lack of chemicals was a plus point.

I would be happy using them anywhere on the baby. Also they would be good to use with my older child's messes because they are bigger and stronger.

I would recommend them to a friend who would benefit from the lack of chemicals. Generally though I would find it hard to justify price

woodwaj · 03/07/2015 16:20

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable? I enjoyed using them, They smell nice and were soft, Only downside I found is that because they are so thick I sometimes wanted one wipe but a pile of them would come out! A plastic lid like you can get on some other brands might be handy.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes? Yes, It makes you wonder why other brands need so many when these are great without.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation? Yes, My baby had a cold during our trial and I used them to wipe his nose so I didn't cause irritation with a tissue. And I would continue to buy them for this reason.

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not? Yes. I have no reason not to!

Simpleton5000 · 03/07/2015 16:25

Q1. The wipes were brilliant. Good level of moisture and very strong. Didn't have any chemical smells.

Q2. It certainly did. When you have used pure wipes such as these you start noticing many differences to other brands. This includes the range of added ingredients (chemicals). My baby is so precious to me, i'll be sticking with these from now on.
Q3. Yes and we did use them for other things besides nappy changes. They worked very well for sticky fingers, dirty high chairs, dirty toys and mopping dribble.
Q4. Yes I would recommend them as they are strong, useful and safe. They can be found in our usual supermarket so we will be making the switch and encouraging others to do the same.

blizy · 03/07/2015 16:32

Q1. The wipes are nice and thick and didn't tear when pulling them out of the pack. They are very wet and did a good job of cleaning my ds's poonami!

Q2. In really like the fact that they only have two ingredients, I'm very careful with products on my sons skin as it is very sensitive.

Q3. I couldn't use my old brand of wipes to clean my sons face as he would break out in a rash, however the water wipes are fab, clean him and are lovely and refreshing in this hot weather.

Q4. I will definitely recommend water wipes! I will continue to use them on my son, only drawback is that they are quite expensive.

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?

The wipes were slightly wetter and stronger. They glided across skin differently, more grippy, and collected up the poop well!

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?

Yes it definitely did. I've started rinsing the baby wipes we bought previously to remove some of the chemicals.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

I have used them for this, and no redness appeared like with the normal wipes.

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?

Yes definitely. I don't like chemicals, especially ones that are not clearly stated on packaging and then put on my baby's skin! They work well, they're safer, and not that much more expensive!
