This is the feedback thread for the MNers who - along with their baby aged up to 6 months who are trying WaterWipes.

Here's what WaterWipes says: "Every time we change our baby's nappies, or use a wipe on their messy face or hands, we can be (without realising it) swabbing their sensitive, delicate, and highly absorbent skin with chemicals. Even when we reach for wipes labelled as "natural" or "sensitive", we do not realize how many ingredients and chemicals they actually contain, as we seldom scrutinise the ingredient list. WaterWipes contain only 2 ingredients: 99.9% Water and 0.1% grapefruit seed extract. Non-irritating to even the most sensitive of children’s or Mums’ skin, WaterWipes help prevent and alleviate nappy rash and other sensitive skin conditions. WaterWipes are the only baby wipe ever to be endorsed by Allergy UK."

More info on WaterWipes here waterwipes.com

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?

Please also remember to complete the short survey we email you!

All who take part and who add feedback as required will be entered into a prize draw where one tester will win a £300 voucher for the store of their choice.

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?

We really liked them. They seemed damper than other wipes I have used, and they certainly didn't leave the "film" or residue that other leading brands leave. They also seemed thicker than others, and we thought they actually wiped things up rather than just smearing around. I'm not sure whether I'd say they were softer than other wipes, but they certainly weren't less soft!

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?

Certainly - we had a pack in the hospital bag to use from the word go, and the "sample" pack arrived when my son was only 10 days old, so we really have used them on newborn skin. There's no way I would have used any other the other wipes on the market on him, but not having to faff with cotton wool and water has made our lives so much easier!

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

Definitely - with my toddler I have just wipes for all of the above, and also for cleaning up the table after meals out in cafes (and also cleaning up minging high chairs in cafes before we use them!). I would be tempted to be more sparing with these though, due to the cost.

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?

I would, but they are almost prohibitively expensive. (I have just done a quick comparison with Earth Friendly Baby wipes and Nature Babycare ones, and WaterWipes are pricier even than these ones.) My daughter is now a toddler so we're only at a stage where we're using wipes every now and again on her, whereas we are using WaterWipes constantly with my newborn. However, when he is a bit older we will revert to using re-usable cheeky wipes at home and just use disposable wipes in the changing bag. This makes things much more affordable. I'm not sure we'll go back to Huggies/Pampers etc but we will probably get whichever of Earth Friendly Baby/Naty/WaterWipes are on offer when stocking the bag.

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?

I really like them in fact i've been out and bought some more. I like that one will fit into the palm of your hand and you can wipe a bottom or a snotty nose in one go. They were definitely thicker and comparable to huggies pure which we have been using for the last two years

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?

Have to admit I did go off and look at the ingredients on our regular brand its whats made me switch brands

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

Was a big plus point because we have a newborn and toddler who has recently developed prickly heat they proved a godsend when the heat wave hit, we could wipe off the salty sweat without causing more irritation

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?

for sure but they are a bit pricey for a lot less ingredients and the packet was quite heavy however their child friendly credentials outweigh the price increase imo

Wenglish · 03/07/2015 16:44

1- great wipes. Thick, really wet didn't need to use many so they should last longer except I did find them hard to get out. I would like a plastic lid on them to be honest.
2- it worried me what nasties I had been putting on my kids skin even though I only used sensitive versions. I'm a convert to these!

3- I used them on newborn toddler pre schooler and reception age children. Bottoms, faces and hands.
My face as make up removal- brilliant! My face isn't red!
4- would totally recommend although a bit more expensive than i would like. I really liked the product and have repurchased

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?
Both my husband and I said, independently of one another, that they were softer than other wipes. We both thought they were very good. Our eczema prone baby didn't react to them at all. Durability is hard to test with a young baby as their poo is so soft but we had no rips.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?
Not really,it wasn't "news" as such to me that other wipes have lots of ingredients. Water wipes proved they're unnecessary though!

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?
My baby is only 4 months so not weaning yet, muslins are sufficient to wipe his face. They would be good for a messy baby when out and about but as they're pricey I would stick to a flannel at home. They were good on a jam covered three year old though!

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?
Yes I'd recommend them to anyone who was concerned about chemicals on their baby’s skin, or has a baby with sensitive skin. Would probably have to warn them about the price though Wink

Onabeach · 03/07/2015 17:33

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?

They were very thick and I didn't find them as wet as other brands which I liked. They did clump together in the packet though annoying when you are one handed trying to just get one wipe out. They were softer and more durable than the brand I normally use.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?

Yes it did, it made me look on the back of the packet of the wipes I normally use that are supposedly for sensitive skin but are packed with chemicals!

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

I did use them on my ds's face as we have just started weaning and he is always a mess and they caused no irritation which is brilliant!

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?
I would recommend them to other parents who have dc's with sensitive skin or for newborns. They are more expensive then other brand but I think they are worth the money. The only thing I didn't like was the packaging I like the packs that have a clip lid I can never get the sticky labels to stick back properly and the wipes always dry out!

sufferkate · 03/07/2015 17:44

Q1 I usually use huggies wipes as I like the thickness of them. These were of a comparable thickness but a little rougher. They were very moist so it felt like I was actually giving a good clean rather than just wiping up.

Q2 my youngest is a girl after two boys, so I'm very aware of how easily her nappy area can get irritated. I loved how pure these wipes are and i realise now just how many chemicals are in standard wipes.

Q3 These are ideal for the weaning period for face and hand wiping - it's like having a flannel with you. My daughter is teething like crazy and is constantly chewing and sucking on her hands and fingers, so these were great for getting her cleaned up on the go without the worry that she might be swallowing chemicals from standard wipes (I don't use regular wipes on her face and hands for this reason).

Q4 I would let people know how good they are (feels like proper cleaning, very natural) but I think the price is very prohibitive. I wouldn't be able to afford them although I prefer them to my favourite wipes. I would be happy to buy in bulk to lower the cost but they're currently more than three times what I normally pay. I have also found them to be very heavy compared to my regular wipes when they're in my handbag. Could the wipes and liquid be sold separately so you can make up your own travel packs or reduce the 'cost per pack' if they could be bought in bulk?

Mrs52 · 03/07/2015 18:07

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?
They are lovely and thick and easy to get out of the pack with one hand. They didn't tear and were wet enough without being too wet.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?
Yes - I used them on my dds face and hands which I will not do with ordinary wipes due to the chemicals in them. I also wiped my hands with them and there was no aftertaste.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?
Yes, I used them to wipe the babies face and hands and also on my toddler's face. Would use them without hesitation.

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?
Yes absolutely, I have been very impressed with them. I wish they were more widely available. They are so much better than ordinary wipes, there was no irritation and they were very good quality.

Candyperfumegirl · 03/07/2015 19:06

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?

I really liked the wipes and thought they were of an excellent quality. I found them a little thicker than regular wipes and they had the perfect amount of moisture being neither too wet or too dry.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?

Not really, I was already aware that most other baby wipes have added chemicals. I tend to use cotton wool and cooled boiled water on my son during changing at home, but found the water wipes made a good alternative to regular baby wipes whilst out and about.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

Sure, they would be good for cleaning sticky hands and faces, very convenient. However, I prefer muslin for any dribbling / spit up.

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?

I would recommend Water wipes to other mums, especially those concerned about chemicals and those with kids with sensitive skin. I think they are good quality wipes.

My biggest criticism would be the price, a quick look online shows me the wipes are priced at £2.49 on a well known pharmacy website. Like most Mums I am on a tight budget these days and find all the essential baby stuff expensive enough already. I tend to buy whatever is on offer or store own brand (usually whatever is around the £1 mark) and would certainly buy Water Wipes if I saw them on offer. However, full price I simply couldnt afford them and I am not really sure how the company can justify such a high price.

BananaPie · 03/07/2015 19:12

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?

I was pleasantly surprised. They were thick and did the job of wiping up bf baby poo well. They feel a bit different to normal baby wipes - they don't glide over the skin quite as easily and they're also a bit wetter, leaving the skin quite wet. The packet felt heavier than standard baby wipes (perhaps because of the extra liquid?) and was also a bit leaky in my handbag once opened.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?

I was already aware that other baby wipes have all sorts of chemicals in them. Neither of my children have sensitive skin, so I've never really worried about this.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

Definitely. As we only had one packet to test, we mainly kept it by the changing mat for nappy changes, so didn't really put them through their paces for other uses.

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?

I'd definitely mention them to anyone with a child with sensitive skin. However, I think that the price would hold me back from fully recommending them!

collette0409 · 03/07/2015 19:49
  1. I liked them strong and soft. They are thicker, softer and stronger then a lot of wipes on the market today.

  2. I use cotton wool at home and wipes when out and about. I loved the natural ingredients and it did make me look at the other wipes ingredients.

  3. Yes, the wipes are fine to use on face and hands.

  4. Yes I will recommend WaterWipes to other mums because I just think they are great. A bit costly but if like me only use them when out and about its not that bad :)

BreeVDKamp · 03/07/2015 20:09

Used these while DS was 3-4 weeks old.

As there are only 2 ingredients plus the wipe itself, I have absolutely NO idea why they are so expensive. They should be cheaper than normal wipes, then everyone would buy them and you might make even more money! Wink

Q1.
The wipe material itself was very nice and soft, more pleasant than some other wipes. Didn't rip, as durable as any other wipe.

Q2.
No I had already thought a lot about the ingredients of other wipes. Used cotton wool and water for the just couple of weeks of DS' life, and had meant to make or buy some reusable wipes before he was born but didn't get round to it. Waterwipes are a much more convenient version of both of those options! Moved on to wipes just before my waterwipes arrived in the post, and have tried many different brands from various free samples from baby shows Smile. Loved the convenience of wayerwipes over cotton wool/flannel + water, which other wipes don't provide as more chemicals.

Q3.
Yes definitely - even using a makeup remover wipe/wet wipe on my own face, I rinse with plain water afterwards. With other brands of wipes I was rinsing DS' bum with plain water after using the wipe too! Didn't feed the need when using Waterwipes.

Q4. Yes I would recommend Waterwipes to other mums - they seem wetter than other wipes, nice and durable, quite a large wipe, lots of uses (would probably feel fine even using on gammy eyes if nothing else available, for example)

Below are the questions they’d like testers to answer but please feel free to add any other comments which you may have:

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?
Yes, I found them very durable and very kind to both my newborn and toddlers skin.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?
Yes, it worries me what chemicals I have been using on my children's skin.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?
Yes, I would definitely use these on faces and hands, where I wouldnt necessarily use ordinary wipes.

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?
I would definitely recommend water wipes because of how pure and durable they are.

silverstreak · 03/07/2015 20:28

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable? I think they are as much as if not maybe a little more so of all of those!

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes? Already knew all the chemically crap that was in normal wipes and was using a different brand "natural" baby wipe when a friend told me about Waterwipes.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation? Absolutely! I've been using baby wipes for a myriad of uses for a long time anyway - the fact that Water wipes are in effect virtually just a clean damp cloth makes then super versatile!

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not? Yes I would, but not it it was a family on a low income as they wouldn't than me for the guilt that they couldn't afford them! Also, to be completely honest, I use water wipes on my 6m old but don't use them for cleaning up my toddlers poos as I've found they don't handle sticky toddler poo v.well at all!! Maybe it's just mine but the job kind of requires something with a tiny bit of cleaning power...! :)

AngelBlue12 · 03/07/2015 20:49

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?

I thought that they were nice, a bit too wet though. I don't think that they were anymore durable or thicker than the Huggies that I normally use.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?

Maybe a bit but tbh I don't think that any of them can be too bad...

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

As a mum of 5 children baby wipes are used for everything!

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?

I thought that they were good but WAY too expensive.

newtothenet · 03/07/2015 20:51

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?

The wipes were of a much higher quality than other disposables I have used in the past. They are stronger and larger and, best of all, you can take them out the packet one wipe at a time instead of either just tearing off a strip or ending up with a handful. My usual wipe, however, is a reusable, and I was keen to see how WaterWipes would measure up. They were actually pretty comparable in terms of strength, efficiency and softness, the only difference being the expense in not being able to use them more than once.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?

I was always aware of the chemical content which is why I normally use washable wipes (with only water or, sometimes, water and a few drops of lavender). I do usually also keep a packet of disposables in the car in case I forget my washables though so it's good to know there is a no-chemical alternative to use.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

WaterWipes don't leave the same sticky feeling that other wipes do so I'm happy to use them on hands and faces. They didn't seem to irritate either of my daughters.

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?

The wipes are more costly than other disposables so, although I would encourage parents of newborns and children with sensitive skin conditions to use them, I'm not sure they are worth the extra money in the long run.

Archer26 · 03/07/2015 20:59

Q1- I liked the water wipes and noticed they were much thicker and moister than other wipes. Being thicker they were definitely more durable.

2- it did make me think about what other wipes may contain. I was already aware that wipes may not be best for newborns and used cotton wool for the first few days but found this faffy. If I had known about water wipes whilst DS was a newborn I would have used these instead.

3- I did use the wipes to wipe baby's hand, and face after a few dribbles. I also used them myself to wipe off suncream residue on my hands. However I can't say I found them any better than usual baby wipes.

4- I would recommend water wipes to mums with very little newborns however I'm not sure I could justify the cost to recommend them long term. I think during those first few weeks when baby's skin is still sensitive, I can definitely see the benefit of them over awkward cotton wool.

pinkgirlythoughts · 03/07/2015 21:13

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?

The Water Wipes were nice and thick, and seemed slightly larger than a lot of other brands I've used before. They seemed to 'glide' over my son's bottom really easily, without pulling, and unlike some other wipes I've used, when I folded them over, they were still wet enough to use a second time.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?

Yes, definitely. It was a surprise to learn that, even though they have only two ingredients, there was still a very pleasant 'clean' smell to the product.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

Absolutely. We have just started the weaning process, and found that Water Wipes cleaned my son's hands/face much more easily at the end of a feed than the other brand we have been using, and didn't require me scrubbing at him! They also didn't leave a sticky residue on his skin.

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?

Yes, as we were very impressed with how easy it was to clean up even quite large poo explosions! As the wipes are quite big, it wasn't necessary to use many per nappy change, so a pack lasts a long time. However, the cost of the product does put me off slightly, although for friends/ family members who have a baby with more sensitive skin, I think it's probably worth spending a bit more in order to buy these wipes.

NinjaPanda34 · 03/07/2015 21:19

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?
I really liked these wipes. They seemed bigger than other wipes and certainly didn't leave any slimy residue. They were very moist, which was great as one wipe went a long way! Only issue is that they tended to clump together, so when you pulled one out, you'd sometimes get 3 or 4!

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?
yes, it's great they're so natural. I don't like the thought of all those chemicals and my twin boys' nappy rashes seem to have settled down.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?
yes, I would have no hesitation in using these wipes in other areas e.g. face, hands ears

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?
yes I would recommend, and have already recommended them, but they are quite expensive but I've found them on offer if you buy them in bulk. My friend's children have severe allergies and she was interested in them too. They are much less of a faff than cotton wool and water - especially at 3am!

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?

I found them to be stronger and softer than the wipes I usually use. They cleaned really well so I used less than I normally would.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?

Yes, it made me think about what's in the other products I use on my baby's skin.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

I mainly kept them for nappy changes but occasionally used them for wiping my older childrens' hands and faces. I can imagine that I'd use the water wipes for cleaning my baby's face once we start weaning.

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?

I'd recommend them for a newborn or to anyone whose baby has sensitive skin. However, the cost is prohibitive so I don't think I would switch to them as my baby does not have sensitive skin.

Wineandchoccy · 03/07/2015 21:30

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?

I really liked the water wipes they were definitely thicker than the pampers sensitive that we normally use. I liked the fact that you only needed 1 wipe where with other wipes you tend to use 2 or 3.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?

Yes it did and I went and read what was in the wipes I currently use and I had a cheap brand that contained lots of ingredients so interesting that water wipes only contain 2 ingredients.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

My Daughter is quite a sickly baby they were useful at cleaning her face and I don't think I would do that with a normal baby wipe

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?

Yes I'd recommend them to anyone who has a baby with sensitive skin. They are useful if you use cotton wool and water but want the convenience when out and about. The biggest negative though is the price, why are they so expensive if they only include 2 ingredients?

Q1. These wipes are lovely, they feel strong and thick, they also don't leave the creamy/soapy feeling that some other brands do. They seemed bigger than other wipes I've used and they had a very gentle smell. They cleaned well too and were very efficient at cleaning up, whether that's dirty nappies or dirty faces after food.

Q2. Yes, and after looking at the ingredients I was surprised. I don't really like using chemicals on my baby, even if it is deemed safe. my baby has beautifully soft skin and I don't want to upset it or risk an adverse reaction.

Q3. I am in the process of weaning my DS and I have certainly used these for his face. He's had a bit of a dribble rash and I feel these are gentle enough to use to help clean him up, even when his skin is a bit sensitive. I really like these wipes and haven't noticed any adverse reactions at all.

Q4. Yes, and I have done so already to my friend who gave birth a month early and was looking for something very gentle for her daughter. These wipes work very well and they feel clean and natural which is great. I am happy to fully recommend them and will be using them again myself.

Q1. I thought the wipes were more moist and thicker than the usual wipes that I buy and they were more durable but I wouldn't of said they were any softer than other branded baby wipes.
Q2. It did make me think and I was very surprised to know there was only two ingredients in these wipes.
Q3. I did test them on other things around the house that I would use wipes on normally, they were great for wiping kids faces and sticky hands and I think you feel better knowing that there so gentle on the skin, but I did try wiping stains and they just didn't remove them as good as other wipes but I put that down to them been more gentle. Plus they are called baby wipes for a reason so in that way they do what there supposed to.
Q4. I would recommend them especially know that I've seen how they work but the only downside is the price.

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?

I usually use pampers sensitive which don't irritate my 3 month old, but I have to use loads to clean a messy poo - so I usually use a cloth wipe first (dry) then finish off with a single wipe. But I found the water wipes much more effective at cleaning up, far less were needed, thicker and larger. I did find them mu ch wetter, and had to dry his bottom before I could put a nappy back on.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?

I know that there are chemicals in normal wipes, midwifes always tell people to use Cotton Wool and water at first, and I wouldn't blanketly believe all chemicals are bad - but if wipes were irritating my baby I would be very pleased with the option of the water wipes.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

I am much more interested in using the water wipes on my son's face and hands, his hands are always in his mouth; especially as we head towards weaning. I think the price is prohibitive for all over use where sensitive wipes are not causing any irritation.

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?

Yes, they are lovely, particularly to people having problems with wipes. But the price is likely to be a drawback.

I was really pleased with these wipes. They were thick and not at all flimsy so dodnt year as they were removed from the packaging but not so thick that you couldn't fold them which are both problems I have had with other wipes. They also came out of the packet one at a time every time which is a welcome change. They seemed to be slighted larger than my usual brand so I used less at each change

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?

I have very sensitive skin and the additives in other wipes can be very irritating especially the alcohol or alcohol substitute. These wipes caused me no issues whatsoever so I will definitely be buying them again.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

I used them for a whole array of jobs from nappy changing to hand washing to nose wiping. I was much more comfortable using them on my child's face than I would be with my usual wipe.

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?

I really would recommend these wipes to anyone who was interested. They were both reliable, natural and practical. My only draw back would be price but given their purity and the fact I found myself being more conscious in their use and needing less each time I think this would even out.

Q1. I've found the water wipes to be strong and they have a good amount of moisture in the pack. I like the natural ingredients but haven't found them any better performing than other wipes. On the downside I think they clump together too much when removed from the packet. I'll only want one and end up with 3-5 - not really acceptable at the price they are sold at. The wipes can also be difficult to fish out of the packet one handed when doing a nappy change when out and about. I found I've had to get the wipes ready then start what I wanted them for.

Q2. Yes and I liked that water wipes didn't leave the lotion residue that other disposable wipes leave behind.

Q3. I've used them on hands - mine and DC's. I've even used them on my DC's face.

Q4. I would recommend WaterWipes for newborns but they are too expensive to use longterm and the clumping makes them a bit wasteful.
