This is the feedback thread for the MNers who - along with their baby aged up to 6 months who are trying WaterWipes.

Here's what WaterWipes says: "Every time we change our baby's nappies, or use a wipe on their messy face or hands, we can be (without realising it) swabbing their sensitive, delicate, and highly absorbent skin with chemicals. Even when we reach for wipes labelled as "natural" or "sensitive", we do not realize how many ingredients and chemicals they actually contain, as we seldom scrutinise the ingredient list. WaterWipes contain only 2 ingredients: 99.9% Water and 0.1% grapefruit seed extract. Non-irritating to even the most sensitive of children’s or Mums’ skin, WaterWipes help prevent and alleviate nappy rash and other sensitive skin conditions. WaterWipes are the only baby wipe ever to be endorsed by Allergy UK."

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?

Please also remember to complete the short survey we email you!

All who take part and who add feedback as required will be entered into a prize draw where one tester will win a £300 voucher for the store of their choice.

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?
Yes, it was the first thing we noticed, the thickness and size means we used far less wipes than we usually do.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?
DS has suffered from nappy rash on and off so we had already looked into this, and we were really shocked at the number of chemicals and how many times the word 'acid' was repeated. Using these wipe has highlighted how unnecessary all of those ingredients are, in my opinon they do the exact same job, if not better.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?
This is where we were really impressed, DS has eczema and it is particularly bad on his face so we had only been using cotton wool and water to clean up after weaning baby wipes flared it up instantly, but we have had no issues using these and they are far easier and more effective

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?

I have been raving about these to anyone who will listen, however I think the price is off putting and if your DC doesn't suffer from any nappy rash then you are far more likely to pick up a cheaper pack when doing your usual supermarket shop.

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?
They are a soft but firm baby wipe that wee able to deal with even very messy bottoms with no problems

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?
I have used normal baby wipes for lots of general cleaning around the house as they are very good at cleaning marks of most surfaces.......it makes you wonder how strong the chemicals are in "normal" baby wipes

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?
My daughter doesn't have sensative skin but I normally use a clean flannel and warm water to wipe her hands and face after eating. I would use these on her hands and face if we were out and about

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?
Yes I would, I love that they don't contain lots of harsh chemicals

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?
They were much thicker than other wipes, and wetter so I used less of them at a time.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?
I actually compared the ingredients and was surprised by the list in other brands.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?
I use wipes for all kinds of things and found these were excellent for wiping hands and face after eating.

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?
Definitely would recommend. They are soft and gentle yet very durable.

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?

Loved the way they cleaned, definitely used fewer per nappy change than I would using other wipes. The skin felt cleaner without an oily residue. The wipes themselves were large and held together well. Very pleased.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?

It did, but not necessarily in a bad way. I think there's a place for oil-based wipes, but they're not suitable for my ds who has eczema. I love that this option exists. It feels like a step towards convenience from washable wipes, but with the benefits of nothing added.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

Definitely, and they were used for all the above (as well as used on my face to cleanse!). Dd has very sensitive skin on her face and these not only cleansed well, but they didn't irritate her skin.

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?

I would, but I would be pointing out that they are expensive. We get through a lot of wipes in this house (often because toddler dd gets hold of a packet and decides to "help" by emptying it Hmm ) and I don't know if I could justify the expense for daily use. But the product itself is great. If they were priced similarly to other wipes I would buy these without question and recommend them to everyone.

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?

Yes they are a good thickness and aren't too wet likes one other brands. They didn't break up at all when using them.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?

Yes it did. It was nice to know that I could wipe my babies face and hands and not worry about what she would be coming into contact with.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

I used it on my babies face, hands and also to wipe the high chair and other surfaces, the wipes coped well with a variety of different substances.

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?

Yes although it would be better if they were cheaper. If you got through a lot of wipes a day it adds up to be quite expensive.

Thank you for letting me a product tester for these great wipes

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?

These wipes are lovely, they are soft and you can tell when using them they are different to the normal baby wipes, even sensitive ones. I also found that they come out of the packet one by one other packs of wipes the wipes come out in 2 or 3's

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?

Yes very much so especially when they seem to clean better and quicker

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

I used the wipes like I would normally which includes using them for cleaning all my children's face and hands I even used them to clean off my makeup my skin didn't feel dry after using them like normal wipes

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?

I would absolutely recommend these wipes I felt better using them and felt my babies, children and my skin felt better for using them a great product. Smile

Marchhairy · 04/07/2015 08:27
  1. softer than my usual wipes but the same apart from that.
  2. I was aware usual wipes contain lots of surfactants. We use cotton wool and water for the babies bottom and a flannel at home for the toddlers face and bring out the wipes for things like paint.
  3. I only tried the wipes on the babies bottom. I am not sure they will work as well for the more ingrained stains of a toddler!
  4. yes would reccomend. Especially for first baby when a newborn when everything is hard. Wipes are so much easier than cotton wool.

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?
I really enjoyed using WaterWipes. I found them very durable and strong. They made a real difference to my DS2's skin, leaving no redness or spots and I even used them round his mouth and on his fingers which I would never do with other wipes because of all the chemicals they have (which always hurt his delicate skin on his face etc.) I liked the lack of fragrance as well as I didn't feel it was leaving any residue on his fingers if he wanted to eat more. I like to use natural ways of keeping my son's skin protected (like putting porridge oats in the bath) and the WaterWipes really fit this way of looking after my boy. I liked the durability and size of the wipes which meant they lasted longer.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?
Yes it did, and I was interested to see how much they put in others. I preferred the lack of smell in these WaterWipes, which reinforced how natural they are. I'd not considered it before but would check even the more natural wipes next time.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?
Definitely, I used it on my 2.5year old DS to wipe round his mouth who has sensitive skin and who always breaks into spots and rashes when we use any other type of wipe-shop's own or branded. Also the size, strength and durability of the wipe enabled me to use it for wiping sticky fingers and use fewer than other wipes so the packet goes for longer.

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?
Yes I would recommend them to other parents-especially for newborns, babies with sensitive skin and others who are like-minded-preferring to use natural products for their children. It would be great to do them in smaller packs for your handbag too.

pocketsized · 04/07/2015 09:22

Q1. Water wipes were thicker and wetter than my usual wipes. However, I'm not sure they worked any better.

Q2. I hadn't really thought about this before as my usual wipes do not cause any problems. I am confident that the ingredients of normal baby wipes are safe.

Q3. I am sure they would be suitable, however, I have had no irritation on my DD with the wipes that we usually use.

Q4. I would if they had children with particularly sensitive skin and had not been able to find a cheaper wipe that was suitable for their skin. These wipes are very expensive if ordinary wipes will do. I also found the packaging really annoying, it was difficult to get the wipes out of the packet without several coming out at once and it was difficult to separate them.

Roseybee10 · 04/07/2015 10:07
  1. I found the wipes very easy to use and they didn't rip or tear. They were wet enough to do the job but not too wet like some brands.
  1. I felt much better about using these on my daughter. I use normal wipes for cleaning stains on clothes and carpets too and found these were not as effective on this which showed clearly that the amount of chemicals were far reduced compared to normal wipes which made me really think about what I was putting on my baby's skin.
  1. I used them for cleaning my older daughter's face after meals and for my baby's face when she dribbled or was sick.
I also couldn't find my makeup remover one night and used them to take my makeup off. I noticed a real difference on my skin compared to using a makeup removing wipe or regular wipe. It didn't leave my skin feeling tight or dry.
  1. I would recommend these wipes but I wouldn't buy them again at the moment as j just can't afford them. I bought a few packs when the baby was born to use in the first few weeks when her skin was more delicate. I think if I noticed she had bad nappy rash or wS reacting badly to regular wipes I would buy them but at the moment I can't justify the price tag given how many wipes we go through.
Given they actual have less ingredients than normal wipes, I think the price is a bit of a joke.
SweetPeaPods · 04/07/2015 11:36

Q1. I really enjoyed using them. I found them more gentle on both babies and toddlers skin. Yes they were thicker, stronger, softer and more durable.
Q2. Yes I love that they are natural.
Q3. Yes I have used them to wipe hands and faces. I used to remove some food as well as paint which worked well.
Q4. Yes I would recommend for the quality of the wipe, but advise that they leaked for me twice. They are also very pricey.
Thanks for allowing me to test these

Cirsium · 04/07/2015 12:10

I used these wipes for my 5 month old DD. She does not have particularly sensitive skin although her dad and me do. I used them mainly when out as I use cloth wipes at home. The packet of 60 wipes lasted about 2 weeks.

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?

We usually use fragrance free supermarket own brand wipes. I thought these were of a similar quality, perhaps slightly thicker. They were not as soft as Huggies wipes. They did seem a lot wetter which I liked, and this seemed well distributed throughout the pack, perhaps because they were squashed in my bag. I would have liked a plastic click close lid to prevent leaks.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?

Yes, I checked the packet of our usual wipes and was surprised by the long list of ingredients. I had thought being fragrance free there would be less.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

Yes, this is what I liked most about the Water Wipes. DD has started teething and is drooling a lot, I didn't feel bad about wiping her face with these. Also useful for wiping fabric when concerned chemicals might damage it. I nanny for three older children (DD comes too) and these wipes were good for mopping sticky faces and hands after picnic snacks. I used them to clean my own hands after applying suncream and found they were surprisingly effective despite just being water. I felt they were kinder to my skin too.

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?

As a good product yes, but I do feel they are very expensive for what they are. Which unfortunately will probably mean they will not become a regular purchase for us either.

polarbearshuffle · 04/07/2015 14:45

Q1. I really liked the water wipes. They were great with two nappy explosions (baby and toddler) which was impressive. I found them very strong. Also because they are quite wet I found I used less wipes then I normally would.

Q2. Yes. However I did know there were more chemicals in other wipes as the midwives say to use cotton wool and water on newborns.

Q3.Yes I was using mine on hands and faces covered in jam, chocolate, bolognese sauce. DD is also a very sicky baby and the wipes were fine even on her sore neck from were she's sick.

Q4.Yes I would as they were strong and durable. However the price is the only downside to them. It's hard to justify buying them when you can use water and cotton wool/flannel.

Caillou · 04/07/2015 16:12

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?

I found that they were thicker than pampers and johnsons wipes, but comparable to huggies.

They were also a lot more moist than any other brand

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?

To be honest I never thought about it (until I saw the above question)

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

Definitely useful for wiping the face

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?

Yes I would as they are so useful in the early days (and much better than the advised cotton wool and water recommended)

Jenni2legs · 04/07/2015 16:14

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?

I found them to be quite simliar in feel to Boots own wipes, which are what I'd use if I were to use disposable wipes. I've always found the 'brands' to be rubbish - Pampers are slimey and Huggies fall apart.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?

I thought that wording was 'off' as the wipes themselves are made of something, so there are at least three ingredients.
I use reusable Cheeky wipes which are cotton, water and essentials oils of my choosing, so I have already thought about this topic.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

Yes, they are great to give a toddler to wipe down furniture etc when your busy with a baby, I've found. I think by the weaning stage children faces can cope with the more generic wipes, some of the foods they will be trying will be acidic and be fine on their skin.

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?
No, I recommend Cheeky wipes and Water wipes are good but not as good. For the cost of one packet of cheeky wipes you could buy weeks and weeks worth of cotton wool balls so I wouldn't recommend on cost alone.

Traceyedd · 04/07/2015 17:10

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?
I found they very easy to use, they didnt clump together making it difficult to get out of the packet like some other wipes do. They also stayed moist for the entire pack. they are definitely thicker than other wipes not sure if they are softer though but certainly on a par.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?
Yes, though i assume that other wipes ingredients also include fragrance.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?
Yes, i used the wipes on all parts of my baby, not just the bottom! i usually only use a wet cloth to clean faces so this was a disposable convenience.

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?
I would recommend them to others though they are a little more expensive. the rate we go through wipes would make this a luxury item not a necessity.

toughday · 04/07/2015 17:46

Q1. I found them to be softer and a bit thicker than the wipes I normally use. They felt really nice and cleaned well. I used less per nappy change than I would normally use. However, when we got midway down the pack it was more difficult to get one out a a time, usually 3 or 4 came so I either had to get the wipes out before I started or take out whatever came snd push back in what I didn't use. Also I found that nearer the end of the packet the wipes were very wet and I had to squeeze off the excess water.

Q2. Yes, I usually opt for fragance free wipes as I can't stand the smell of most of them. My children have quite sensitive skin and these didn't irritate at all.

Q3. Yes, I use wipes for multiple purposes around the home. They were very good for hands and faces, even of the older children.

Q4. I first heard of water wipes when my friend with her first born raved on about them but I scoffed at the price and said there was no way i'd be getting them. However, having now tried them I would buy again but only if they were on offer. I would also recommend them to others as I was mostly impressed with them.

TreaterAnita · 04/07/2015 19:34

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?

I normally use Huggies wipes as I like the thick fabric texture. By comparison, the WaterWipes are as thick, strong and durable but possibly not as soft though they are wetter and if anything better at cleaning.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?

I had been using cotton wool and water as my baby is still relatively newborn (5 months). I was planning to change over to wipes at around 6 months. I'd use WaterWipes in preference to cotton wool and water as they're much more convenient but I'm not overly concerned about the ingredients of other wipes for older babies.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

I think they'd be great as normal wipes though my older child has never experienced any skin irritation from other brands and I suspect that they might be a bit expensive.

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?

Yes, I think they're great for use on delicate newborn skin.

icclemunchy · 04/07/2015 20:02

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?

i found them very soft but a bit too thick for my preference. we usually use the ASDA little angel ones that have the cloth like material and prefer this type of wipe. that said these were strong and did a good job of cleaning up.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?

yes. my elder daughter has eczema and although out of nappies it has made me more wary about what i put on my youngest skin.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

we use wipes for all sorts, hands/faces/bottoms/make up removal/small spills/toy. although the wipes would be suitable for everything we use them for the cost would put me off massively. i pay less than a pound for my usual pack so i dont hesitate to use them when they're to hand. i would prob keep the waterwipes for little bums/faces only

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?

possibly, but only if they were having a problem with sensitive skin or maybe for a very new baby. they're just too expensive otherwise

CazzaLy · 04/07/2015 20:29

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?
Water wipes are thicker than other wipes but I did not find I needed to use any less.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?
I am a packet reader and so am very aware what is in the products I use on my children. I was impressed that there is nothing non natural in water wipes.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?
I used the wipes for face and hand wiping for both my children.

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?
I would very much recommend them for newborn or sensitive skin when out and about. I use washable wipes at home with water anyway. They are however heavier to carry than an average set of wipes and are also too expensive for everyday use throughout the life of a child.

abcxyz123 · 04/07/2015 20:41

Q1. I liked the thickness of the wipes, and would certainly describe them as thicker and stronger than my usual wipes. I am not sure that there was any noticeable difference in softness though. As they were nice and thick, as well as a lot wetter than normal wipes, I found that I often only needed one wipe per nappy change. However, I did use up the packet quite quickly as I found that I usually pulled out a bundle of wipes instead of just one. While I liked the extra wetness for bum-wiping, I didn't like it for general use as I often seem to leave used wipes around the house, and these left very damp patches on the sofa, my clothes etc.

Q2. Definitely. It prompted me to look at my usual wipes and I was quite surprised by some of the ingredients (acids?!). However I assume that most of the extra ingredients are present in tiny amounts, and so am not overly concerned by these.

Q3. I think these would be great for other uses, especially hand and face cleaning. I think that the taste left by normal wipes is disgusting and not nice for little ones to get in their mouths, and I imagine (although I didn't try!) the residue left by WaterWipes would be a lot less unpleasant. However I think that they are just too expensive for me to consider using them for this purpose.

Q4. I would recommend to those with a newborn, or a baby with sensitive skin. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend them purely based on price, as I can't see enough advantages for a baby whose skin isn't sensitive to "normal", less than £1 a packet, wipes.

Treadlightly · 04/07/2015 21:52

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?

I really liked them! They felt thicker & stronger than my normal wipes. I didn't need to use as many. They were a bit wetter - especially the last few on the pack but that was fine. They felt super soft.

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?

Yes, I was surprised! I'd never really thought about what was in my normal wipes. I worry about using too many chemicals on my dc's skin so these are great!

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

Definitely! I used them for grubby hands & faces too.
I would even use them for my face to freshen up & remove makeup.

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?
Definitely. They were fab! I was a little surprised at the price, they are too expensive for me to buy all the time. I would look out for them on special offer.

As a first time mum I wanted to make sure my baby only got the best. Water wipes were recommended to me by a colleague.

1.They were definitely strong and durable. They were thicker which I didn't necessarily like and they were wet enough. I didn't feel the need to wait for ages to let baby's bottom air dry.

  1. Definitely. I got free wipes in my bounty pack and they went straight in the bin after reading the ingredients.
  1. My. Baby is five months now and becoming very dribble. I use the wipes on his hands, mouth, neck and chin. I don't worry about him chewing on his hands when they are still damp from the wipes as there is no nasties in them.
  1. They are very expensive. Much more expensive then they should be considering there are less ingredients and less packaging. I actually hate the packaging. The sticky label becomes unsticky so the pack doesn't close properly. Why isn't there the plastic lid closure there are on other brands?

Q1. How did you find using WaterWipes? Did you notice a difference between them and ordinary wipes you may have used in the past? Were you describe them as being thicker, stronger, softer, more durable?

I really did like using the water wipes. There was a big different to the usual wipes I use (mamia) much thicker and stronger. Usually mine stretch really easily and also did a fantastic job on my kitchen table :D

Q2. Did learning that WaterWipes had only 2 ingredients, (99.9% Water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract), make you think about what was in other normal baby wipes?

Yes, it made me think about when my daughter was a newborn and she kept developing thrush. I thought if I has used these maybe it wouldn't have happened.

Q3. Did you think the product might be suitable for other uses aside from nappy changing, like face wiping or hand wiping in the teething/dribbling or weaning stages when little faces needs wiping but putting wipes with chemicals on baby’s face might cause some irritation?

Yes i used these to wipe my DD hands and face. I also used them to wipe my table!

Q4. Would you recommend WaterWipes to other Mums/ parents? If yes, why? If not, why not?

I would recommend however, i would mention the price and also at the end of the packet the last few wipes were really wet. They are also a bit pricey for a packet of wipes but other than that, Brilliant!
