DS is 14 months, we used size 5.

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?

They fit well, he seemed comfortable, and there were no leaks, but he did get bad nappy rash.

  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?

Fine, DS is crawling and is always on the move, but the nappies didn't impede his movement at all. Night time was also fine, the nappies looked like they were very full when I took them off him in the mornings but didn't leak at all.

  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I wouldn't use them, just because of the nappy rash.

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?

Yes, I'd be happy to recommend them for dryness and fit, but I would also mention the nappy rash.

Thank you for choosing us for this trial. My boy is coming up for 14 months and we tried the 5+ nappies.

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?

I like the print on them, they are thinner than our usual nappies and have a good feel to them.

  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?

They performed surprisingly well during the day as well as at night. We have had no leaks at all and they fit really well. They do puff out pretty quickly though so I found that I was changing my boy a lot more than usual because I didn't like the 'bulge' and it looked uncomfortable when it was puffed .

  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would use these nappies again, they look comfortable and fitted very well with no leaks at all...and we had a few explosive nappies!

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?

Yes I would recommend these nappies, I was pleasantly surprised at how well they performed.

thank you again :-)

ALILU123 · 20/10/2014 21:14

My son is 12 months, and we tested size 3 nappies.

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
Overall, excellent. He was able to move around easily, and nappies didn't cause any chafing down the creases by his thighs, which we found with a lot of others. Lovely patterns as well.
  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
Brilliantly, both day and night. They will last, without leaking, for a while, if you aren't able to change the nappy when you normally would. The only time we found they do leak, is when my son has a runny nappy (which is very rare) but I guess most nappies would leak if faced with that!
  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
Absolutely! I loved these nappies!
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
Again, absolutely!
Stars66 · 20/10/2014 21:40

DD is 2 and in size 5. Since applying to test these nappies and the massive delay I have potty trained her, so have only used the nappies during nap time and bed time.

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
Thin nappies that are comfortable for the child. However, DD is a little houdini and is able to pull down her PJs and undo the sticky bits. I think we would also have this problem with other brands.
  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
Nap time during the day, they were fine and she did not leak, however the majority of nights, DD would wake in the morning to be wet through her vest and PJs and onto sheet.
  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
Will use the night time brand as I need them to be more absorbent so that DD does not wake up wet and uncomfortable.
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
Yes for fit (which is not important for sleeping), but not for night time dryness. And they are very expensive, so only when they are on special offer!
VixStarr · 20/10/2014 21:55

My son has just turned two and is 12 kgs so had size 5

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?

I liked the initial look and feel of them. I liked how the absorbency pad in the nappy covered the majority of the nappy which you don't get in the nappies that I use. I also quite liked the chemical smell! However, i thought they looked quite tight on my DS particularly around the thighs. After a day or so you could see red marks/ raised area where it has rubbed against his skin. Disclaimer: DS is prone to ezcema. I stopped using them and gave to my friend after a day and a night. He has just hit the 50th centile so he's not a chunky monkey or anything.

  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?

During the day they were fine absorbency wise and at night time they were rubbish as I had to wake up DS twice to change him. This could have been partly because of the rubbing against his skin but either way i was not impressed. I have used Sainsbury' s basic nappies in an emergency at night- time ( normally i use Pampers baby dry) and they performed better.

  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Not really even if they were on offer due to the irritation caused on my son's skin. Plus it just seemed too tight on him.

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?

Well my friend quite liked them. She has a very slight child so perhaps if a parent mentioned to me that they found nappies too big on their child i would recommend Active Fit

Squiffie · 20/10/2014 22:26

I've been testing size 3 with 5 month old DD.

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit? Very slim! They smelled awful though before they'd even been used.
  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time? Performed really well, no leaks day or night and we really pushed them to their limits.
  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not? I'd definitely use them again but I'm unlikely to buy them at full price as they're just too expensive.
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit? I'd recommend them if they were on offer.
hunhun007 · 20/10/2014 23:53

4 months old, we tried size 3

What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?

  • Great looking with funky design but a bit smelly.

How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?

  • Perfect. No leaks at all. We do not experience a lot of movement but I would expect they would stand up to the challenge.

Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

  • Yes, and no depending if I can buy them on offer. They are good nappies but I do not think they offer anything special, at least not for this moment in time.

If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?

  • I would recommend Pampers as a brand but not sure about Active Fit. We will try them again in a few months time when we have a bit more movement
Fumnudge · 21/10/2014 00:21
  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
Good thinness, felt soft
  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
V average daytime and leaked badly at night (urine)
  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
I've never had an Aldi nappy leak at night, ever! So nope, haven't even used the pack up because what's the point if they leak?
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
Er, no
HappyUncleMump · 21/10/2014 14:43

DS 15 months, size 5.5

Slimmer than our usual brand of nappies, nice colourful design. Offputting chemical-like smell.

Performance was unremarkable - no leaks, no wetter or drier than usual nappies.

I would not use these again due to the distinctive smell.

No, I wouldn't recommend these nappies. They did the job adequately, but no better or worse than our cheaper supermarket brands (Little Angels and Toujours)

CathBookworm · 21/10/2014 16:28

Thanks for letting me try these out. My son is 4 months old and we used size 4.

  • My overall impression of Pampers Active Fit was that they were a lot thinner than my usual brand, and seemed comfortable and fitted well. They do smell a bit peculiar but this wasn't too overpowering.
  • Pampers Active Fit performed very well through the day, no leaks at all. After a couple of nights I changed back to my Little Angels as the Pampers leaked, they didn't seem absorbent enough for a whole night.
  • I might use them again, it really would depend on whether they were on special offer.
  • I wouldn't particularly recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents.
Kittykatmacbill · 21/10/2014 20:19

DD is 17 months and just in size 4+ (Natys)

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?

Very thin, but smell horribly chemically. The patterns are cute, but I am not sure I would buy on that basis.

  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?

No leaks. But they made my DD really smell (of wee) not chemicals, even when she was dry. Unlike other pampers they did not give her nappy rash.

  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

probably not, as they made her really smell.

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?

No.

Digestive28 · 21/10/2014 20:44

DD is 15 months and size 4+

  1. Overall impression was good. I liked the design, interesting without being to brash. I was surprised by how slim they were they did feel a little flimsy but they performed really well
  1. Day and night were fab. I was expecting them to do well in the day and they did, managed to keep my DD dry and didn't shift with all her crawling, walking and general movement. I was impressed with them at night, thought they would be too thin but managed twelve hours sleep fine, did leak on one occassion but that was a long night for us all so not unexpected! They did have quite a chemical smell btw which was a bit odd but it didn't bother me too much
  1. I would use them again but only if they were on offer. I think the benefits of it being thinner then other nappies don't outweigh the cost. Supermarket own brand nappies are significantly cheaper
  1. I'm not partial to lots of nappy chat but if it did come up I would mention the trial and I was impressed but I would also mention other, cheaper brands, perform as well just not as thin.
  1. Overall am impressed but wouldn't buy them at full price. As an aside they also took ages to arrive!
LostInTheTriangle · 21/10/2014 20:59

Please state the age of your child and the size of Active Fit nappies you were trying in your response.

My daughter is 9 months old and I tried size 4.

- What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?

They were lovely and thin. They seemed soft to the touch and very comfortable to wear. In terms of fit, the elastic tapes ensured a snug, but again comfortable fit.

I did smell a chemical odour but it wasn't strong enough to put me off.

- How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?

During the day, I felt as soon as she did a wee, the nappy was super bulgy. When I took it off, it didn't feel wet, but a bit damp after being on for a couple of hours. I had to change it more frequently than my usual brand of nappy. At night it was sodden by 3am, so I didn't continue using it overnight.

- Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would use them if they were on special and I got my Boots points - but only for daytime use.

- If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?

For fit, I would recommend them. For dryness, there are other nappies available that are more effective and less expensive. I think it terms of comfort, they would beat my regular brand of nappy, but need changing far more frequently, which would have a significant cost implication.

I used Pampers religiously until my daughter went into the Size 4s and the premium baby dry (with the blue line) nappies were no longer available (they only go up to a 3?). I was so happy with the baby dry nappies and am disappointed with the Active Fit nappies that are the only options once the baby is bigger than a size 3. Why can the blue line nappy 'formula' not be used in the active fit? Presumably there is a reason. Anyway, thank you for the nappies and I hope this feedback is helpful.

weebarra · 21/10/2014 21:07

DD is 14 months and size 4.
First impression was of a very chemically smell, but the nappies were much less bulky than others we have used.
They seemed quite absorbent, but have now leaked twice when she has poo'd - and I've responded quickly, not leaving her in it!
I might use them again, but they are expensive.

waitingforwombat · 21/10/2014 21:26

14 months - size 4.
What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
Thinner and softer than my normal nappy (Aldi), but they have a really strong smell - especially when wet. I accused my husband several times of leaving my daughter in a dirty nappy, but it was the nappy itself that smelt!

  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
Very dry. Well fitting and slim for mobile babies.
  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
Only if they were on offer. They did feel thinner and softer (more expensive) that the Aldi nappies I usually use, but they are hugely more expensive, and smelly - probably would only use overnight.
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
No - they aren't worth the extra cost over very cheap nappies - they seem nicer, but don't perform any better. I do use pampers babydry overnight, especially when "between sizes" - but wont be switching to active fit during the day.
3dannie22 · 21/10/2014 21:37

Dd is 11 months old and we had size 4.
Overall impression- thinner than my usual tesco nappy, but they had a really awful chemical smell! I actually could smell it through her leggings!

How did pampers active fit perform day and night?
Fab. No leaks. Good fit for our mobile 11 month old

Would you use them again?
No I wouldn't unless they were really cheap. The smell was awful and I worry about what chemical was next to her skin.

If it came up in conversation would I recommend active fit?

No the smell was too much, also the cost is a lot more than my tesco nappys.

Thanks for the trial. :-)

andywedge · 22/10/2014 02:08
  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
Good quality
  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
By the time they arrived she was potty trained so we only used at night time. They kept everything in as should.
  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes; if the price was right. They can be expensive compared with some brands i.e stores own. When the store has offers though I would go with PAF.
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
Yes
andywedge · 22/10/2014 02:09

Forgot to say she is 2 years old

beccajoh · 22/10/2014 08:51

Baby aged 9 months in size 4 nappies

Good. Kept him dry, no leaks day or night, tabs didn't rip off like many other brands we've tried. Odd chemical smell shortly after he'd done a wee. Would use again but only buying when on offer as they're v expensive otherwise. Would recommend.

marmitemad · 22/10/2014 11:08

15 months, DD, size 4+

What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?

very happy Smile nice, thin material with secure tabs although strong chemical smell compared to pampers baby dry and other brands. dd liked the animal pictures

How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?

no leaks during the day or night and no skin irritations although I did notice some marks on her legs from the elastic sometimes

Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes would use again and have now switched from Pampers Baby dry permanently. They are quite pricey though compared to other options but I think it evens out we get leaks in all other brands and they don't last as long between changes.

If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?

Yes to both despite the high price

KraggleLego · 22/10/2014 11:19

DD Aged 6 months, We are going through teething and she was also a bit poorly when these arrived so we had a few poonami's just to give them a proper testing Grin

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
Nice design, light and have a nice shape. They have a very stretchy waistband, overall first impressions are positive.
  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
Due to teething and illness we had a few poo explosions, the nappies performed very well, nothing leaked through and she managed to stay relatively dry. Night times they performed extremely well, no leaks and she seems very comfortable. Unlike our regular nappies there was no soreness
  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
I will absolutely use them again, they are fantastic and suit my baby very well
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
I would and indeed have recommended these nappies to others, I think they are fabulous and I will not switch again.

Thank you for the opportunity to test these, my baby loved them as do I and we have now switched to these permanently.

halfdrunkcoffee · 22/10/2014 11:33

I used size 4 with DD who is 21 months old.

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?

They fit well; they've kept DD very dry at night (I haven't used them in the day as we use cloth most of the time).

  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?

Very dry in the morning; no complaints.

  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, I would. I try to use the "eco-disposables" a lot of the time, but if I run out, I might get some more of these. DD has done a few wees on the potty, so hopefully the day will come in the not too distant future when I can finally say goodbye to nappies!

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?

Yes, probably.

FreeWee · 22/10/2014 12:42
  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?

My initial impression when I opened the packaging was the overwhelming chemical smell which wafted out and I felt they were noticeably thinner than the existing ones. I was worried about the chemicals on my daughter's sensitive bottom skin and whether the thinner nappy would leak. My concerns were unfounded as her skin was fine and they didn't leak.

  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?

I mainly use them for night times and they didn't leak once. During the day they also contained her poos which the usual ones don't, which is why I usually use Aldi during the day.

  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

If the existing ones changed to these ones I would continue to use them. However the chemical smell is off putting and if something could be done about that it would help.

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?

Yes and I have done to other mums in the past looking for an overnight non leaking nappy.

FreeWee · 22/10/2014 12:42

Size 5 for 20 month DD

mrsminx · 22/10/2014 13:03

My son is 18months and using a size 4 nappy

I wasnt sure what the difference was to other pampers nappies but they have been great so far and have been keeping him dry through the night which I have been having problems with, even using other pampers. They are starting to be a little on the small side now so I will move to 4+ when I buy more - which I will be doing.
I would recommend them, especially at night when toddlers move around a lot.
The only thing that puts me off is the price, its OK when they are on offer, otherwise they are expensive against the supermarket brands.
