Thanks for the trial. I was trying out size 4+ for DD who is 16 months.

What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
They were ok. They are very thin and flexible which is great, they didn't restrict DDs movement at all (she's very active!). I do agree they had a slightly odd smell at times, a sort of chemically whiff. It wasn't awful, or there all the time, but it wasn't great.

How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
They've performed fine. DD has stayed dry day and night, hasn't been sore, and she does seem dry when I change her. They do bulge at the front quite a bit which makes it look like she's been a lot more than she actually has, but maybe this is because they are so thin? It didn't lead to any leaks though.

Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
Although they performed well and I was happy with them, I don't think the extra price makes them worth it over cheaper brands.

If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
If someone specifically asked me my view on pampers I would give them the gist of the above, but I wouldn't actively go out recommending them.

MNHQ I tried to do the opinionbar survey, but when I got to the bit where it said "if you want to enter the prize draw click here" it just shut down the whole browser window when I clicked on it, I tried it twice but it still did the same thing Sad

FrootLoops · 16/10/2014 14:25

DD is 13 months and I tried the size 4 nappies.

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?

I thought they were ok. My first impression was that they were very colourful and quite thin feeling. They seemed to fit well and did the job for the most part. They did smell a lot.

  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?

During the day was fine but I was changing DD more often as the nappies smelled very bad. There was also one leak which I have not had at all with her usual nappies so I was a little disappointed in that.

At night they were ok too but I stopped using them because the smell was so strong in the mornings.

  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I don't think I would use them again the smell was really bad and they are expensive for a similar performance to the usual nappies.

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?

Probably not they are expensive and don't really outperform other nappies.

RunningGingerFreckleyThing · 16/10/2014 14:32

I was sent size 5 for my DS who is 2.
What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
The nappies are thin and fit well. I found them to be no different to our usual brand.

Our only issue was that a nappy actually exploded. I had just changed DS's nappy and dropped the rolled up nappy on the floor. Not from any great height either. The (urine soaked)gel filling exploded over the floor.

How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
There were no leaks day or night.

Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
I wouldn't sue them again but that is only based on cost. More expensive than our usual brand.

If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
Yes, for those reasons alone I would recommend but not over our usual brand.

hchc · 16/10/2014 15:18

We used size 4 for our 9 month old.

What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
They fit well and are thin.

How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
No leaks at all in the day time, wasn't brave enough to use at night, prefer baby dry for then.

Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, like that you can get them at a good price in Amazon subscription and find the nappies reliable - no worries about leaks.

If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
Yes.

RueDeWakening · 16/10/2014 15:30

Have just done the survey too - is it just me, or are the questions asked incredibly leading? You can only answer yes or no, I didn't like it at all and I bet this is where stats like "100000% of users agreed that this is the driest nappy available" come from. I wish they'd done it properly.

Dinesaur · 16/10/2014 15:31
  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?

As others have said, nice and thin but they smell.

  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?

Very nice and slimline when first put on. Nice stretchy tabs too.
No leaks but I found myself changing ds more often than normal as they got very bulky very quickly and hung down between her legs which made me worry they would leak.

  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Probably not due to the price and them being very bulky when wet.

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?

Probably, but I would also warn them of the problems too.

Dinesaur · 16/10/2014 15:33

Sorry forgot to add, ds is 18 months and we tried size 5's.

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?

Excellent quality. The thinnest, softest and stretchiest nappy I've used. It's the first time my baby's noticed a design on a nappy - she loved the little owl on the waistband.

  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?

Very absorbent and great at keeping my baby dry. No leaks but they do seem to have a bit of a 'chemically' smell.

  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would definitely use them again but they would need to be on special offer or something because the difference in cost between these and my normal brand is just too much.

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?

Absolutely.

DifferentNow · 16/10/2014 15:41

Forgot to add that I was trying size 5 for my 16 month old daughter.

222333 · 16/10/2014 17:07

Daughter aged 13 months size 3.

What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?

They are really good there was no leakage, no nappy rash and no soiling of the clothes. They are light, thin and flexible nappies.

How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?

They performed really well especially at day time when my little one always has plenty to drink.

Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, because they are absorbent.

If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?

Yes.

zoemaguire · 16/10/2014 17:20

DD aged 8 months.

Overall impression: Light and worked well. No leakage. But smell was too strong for me.

How did they perform? Well. Didn't last overnight but given how much DD drinks, I don't expect miracles Grin

Would you use them again? No, see smell issue, and because the nappies I use right now also perform perfectly adequately.

Recommend to other parents? No, because in 6 years of parenting I don't think I've ever had a conversation about nappy brands with other parents and don't intend to start now.

Overall conduct of product trial: 1/10. The 'questionnaire' is particularly dreadful.

zoemaguire · 16/10/2014 17:20

sorry, forgot to say, used size 4.

ByeByeButterfly · 16/10/2014 17:49

DD age 18 months on 4+

- What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
I have used Pampers the most since DD was born. I have found the Pampers Active Fit to be the most reliable. We put her nappy on at 8 at night and at 8 in the morning it is very wet, but not soaked through. I find the quality of the material very good.

- How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
During the day and night, Pampers Active Fit was perfect. She was running around during the day and sleeping at night and in both cases the nappies kept her dry and well cushioned.

- Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
I definitely would use them again. They are comfortable, reliable, made of a pleasant none itchy material and are easy to get on DD.

- If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
I definitely would and have already done so.

Bearfrills · 16/10/2014 19:23

DS is 7mo and using size 3+.

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
On opening the packet - thin, soft material, good grippy tabs and stretchy elastic but strong chemical smell.

On using them - I didn't like them. They leaked, every single one, and DS ended up with bleeding nappy rash.

Overall impression was poor.

  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
Every single nappy leaked. I change DS regularly during the day and straight away after a poo but with these I was putting a nappy on him, he was doing one wee and it was dribbling straight out the sides. When he poo'd it went up his back and down his legs.

It was the same at night with him waking up wet during the night.

I've never had to do so much extra laundry since he was newborn!

He ended up with a nappy rash so bad that his bottom was red raw and bleeding Sad

  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
No, for the reasons given. We use Pampers Baby Dry, among other brands, and they're champion but these test nappies are absolutely rubbish. Thank you for the free pack but I really wish I hadn't bothered with them. The test has been a shambles from start to finish.
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
Not at all, for the reasons given.
Stujobohm · 16/10/2014 19:36
  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
They are a good nappy
  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
I did have a small leak at night time after my son had been to a kids party and drank a lot of juice ??
  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes I would if they were on offer
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
Yes
ButterflyOfFreedom · 16/10/2014 19:42

DS is 24 months and size 4.

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
Thin, flexible, absorbent.
  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
Brilliantly - no problems, no leaks, no complaints from DS!
  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, definitely - although I would only buy them when they were on offer as they are quite expensive.
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
Yes, probably.
Bubbles85 · 16/10/2014 19:49

They worked well as we had no leaks at all.
  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes I have already ordered some more as I really liked them.

boos1 · 16/10/2014 20:21

Child is 8 months, size 4 nappies

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
They are quite small and slim prior to use so fit in bag easily. I found they performed relatively well.
  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
Generally performed well in the day, had one explosive poo that leaked but I think it would have with any nappy as it was that bad!

Had one night when it leaked that was after about 12 hours sleep. Fine the other nights.

  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes I would use them again but probably only buy them when on offer.
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
Yes I would.
thindes78 · 16/10/2014 20:32

Little one is 25 months old, she uses size 6.

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit? Very good - they were a comfortable fit on her and I liked the extra flexibility in them for her to move around without hesitation, and we had no leakage, and they kept her dry over the night. Very pleased and impressed.
  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time? Perfect, we had no issues, and most important no leakage.
  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not? Yes most definitely.
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit? I already have. They do exactly what they say - keep them dry and comfy fit.
MGreen · 16/10/2014 20:34

What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
I liked them, they fitted well and were neat under trousers.

  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
They always performed well, no leakage, and even though full at night was not too bulky.
  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would use these again, depending on the price, usually compare and get the best value overall.
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
Yes I would recommend them, they are very good for active children and they can really move around.
JeanBillie · 16/10/2014 20:36

Size 5; 13 months old.

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?

They were fine.

  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?

We had one leaky wee-soaked nappy in the daytime, which surprised me because I generally consider Pampers to be the most reliable brand. The nappies were fine for 12 hours over night - no sore bottom.

  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would use them, but to be honest I would stick with the supermarket own brand nappies (Tesco; Asda, Boots not Lidl) because their nappies do the job too.

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?

I would say that they are fine - nothing to rave about but nothing to complain about either.

mummy172011 · 16/10/2014 20:43

DS 4 months size 3

overall impression: very good quality, soft, light and easy to use (a must with a wriggling baby!)

Performance: I was really pleased with the performance both day and night. My son seemed comfortable and content even when he had filled his nappy. We also had no leaks which is something we have found quite regularly with other nappies.

Would you use them again: yes definitely, my son seemed comfortable and happy in them and I liked the fit on him. We change him regularly in the day but it was nice to have confidence that he wouldn't be woken by leaks when he slept for longer periods at night.

Would you recommend: yes

toptomatoes · 16/10/2014 20:45

When I first received the nappies, I was impressed with how thin and light they were. They were very stretchy so easy to put on a wriggle baby and get a good fit.

I tested them on my 19 month old, size 4.

The nappy held an impressive amount of liquid when thrown in the bath by the toddler!

We had one leak overnight, which does not often happen and we vary brands quite a bit.

We have switched back to our asda nappies without finishing the pack as our daughter has very painful nappy rash. Again, this has rarely happenedb before.

I wouldn't recommend these nappies or buy them again.

mummyzara2 · 16/10/2014 20:54

Help, I still haven't received my nappies :( and I was chosen
