  • The Pampers Active Fit are well made, compact and perfect for toddlers. They have a great fit and are much thinner than other store brand nappies. Really excellent nappy....except they do have a bit of a chemical smell which is strange. Overall, they are good quality.
  • Performed excellent day and night.
  • I would use them again and when traveling would pick them up over unknown brands if I saw them. They're reliable and you can count on Pampers to be good quality.
  • If it came up in conversation, I would recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit. However, I would caution that they are Pampers and that comes with an additional cost. I would also mention the chemical smell though as Pampers needs to resolve that.

Zach is 10 months in size 4 nappies

What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
I thought they were fine - nice enough pattern on but our son didn't pay it any attention.

How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
Very good, he stayed dry all the time, with no leaks either.

Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
If they were on offer yes I would, but we use Aldi Mamia nappies and find them to be extremely good

If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
I probably would reccomend them, but I also think that value and quality-wise it's hard to beat the Aldi nappies.

Babycarmen · 16/10/2014 10:07

DD is 2 and we tested size 5 nappies.

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
They looked thinner then other nappies we have used, which looked more comfortable for my daughter, i was surprised at how much liquid they could hold.
  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
Yes, no issues at all.
  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
Perhaps, they were great but werent SO much better to justify spending more then my usual brand.
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
If it came up, yes.

16 month old boy, size 4+ nappies

-overall impression is that they were thinner than my normal brand

-they performed fine, no leaks (but have no leaks with Asda or Sainsbury own brand which are my normal choice). He did get some nappy rash with the first nappy which is very unusual for him, but that settled down and no further rash.

  • I would use again if on offer cheaper than my normal choice, as I found no benefit of them over the own brand nappies I normally use.
  • probably wouldnt recommend them as I found no difference in using them to my normal choice (but I wouldn't advise against them either)

Thanks

bumpiesonamission · 16/10/2014 10:14

We've just received ours and have been sent the wrong size! However, have bought some of the right size and am impressed with the design and movement, however, they leak if they have been on lo for longer than about 8hrs Angry. So I've started using another brand for nights!

emma556 · 16/10/2014 10:23

i used the size 4 nappies for my 13 month old daughter
How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
The Active Fit have been brilliant in the daytime but skin a bit wet when worn during the night.
Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would use them again but would look around from them on promotion, as their are more expensive then the ones i buy.
If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
yes i was very happy with them.
general comments
I really liked these nappies fitted my slim daughter really well and loved the thinnest of the nappies.

procrastinatrix · 16/10/2014 10:35

I have been trying the size 4+ nappies for my 27 month old daughter.

They are amazingly thin. I was concerned they might feel crisp against the skin, but I think they are reasonably soft. They fit well, with good elastication - possibly better than the Pampers Simply Dry that we usually use. They seem very absorbent; we haven't had any leaks during the day or at night. I've tested DD's skin in the morning and it actually is dry! I was surprised by this.

The animal prints are cute and DD likes them. What she really misses are the Sesame Street prints on the Pampers Cruisers (which I think are the same thing as Active Fit) that we buy in Canada. I guess Elmo and Cookie Monster are not as popular over here.

I didn't notice any chemical smell on the nappies we were sent.

I would certainly use them again and also recommend them to other parents for dryness and fit, but the price is a barrier. Our default purchase is a jumbo box of Pampers Simply Dry, or Baby Dry if they are on special. Both of those nappies perform very well for my daughter and although they may not be quite as thin as Active Fit, they certainly aren't bulky. So I can't really justify 'trading up' to Active Fit.

Thank you for the nappies!

bshree08 · 16/10/2014 10:40

Thanks so much for choosing us for the trial, here is our feedback

What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
Very soft and thin, its comfortable for my son, he was really comfortable wearing the nappies, most important of all is he has not got any rash.

How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
Extremely good, I used one pampers for the whole night, my son drinks a lot of milk and water, I was surprised to see the nappy can hold quite a lot. No leakage or whatsoever.

Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
Oh yes I would use them, I always use pampers baby dry they are my favourite, I will stock these nappies, when they are on sale.

If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
Ofcourse I will recommend to other parents and I have already done it Wink

bshree08 · 16/10/2014 10:41

sorry forgot to add the age and size
my boy is 15 months and I use size 4

BonjourMinou · 16/10/2014 11:06

DD is 11 months and used size 4.

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?

I was surprised by how thin and light they were in comparison with other nappies I have used. The patterns on the outside are also very pretty.

  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?

Day time they worked fine but no better than other nappies I have used (I usually use Tesco loves baby and Pampers Baby Dry). I couldn't see that the thinness/flexibility of the nappy improved her ability to move around, nor that the other nappies hindered it! (alas). Night time I wasn't too impressed, she doesn't get changed at all overnight as she has finally started sleeping through, so we do need a nappy that can cope with a whole night's worth of wee. On the plus side, she didn't have a rash or anything, so her bum stayed dry, but on the negative side her pyjama bottoms felt a bit cold/damp to the touch so I suspect the thin nappy couldn't handle a whole night's worth of wee. They are fine for use during the day, in fact it is nice that they are so slim and compact as you could just slip them in your handbag with a pack of wipes rather than take the whole changing bag with you if you wanted, but I personally think Baby Dry are more effective for use at night.

  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I might if they were on offer for use during the daytime only, as mentioned I liked the fact that they were so slim and portable and she has her nappy changed several times during the day. However at night time I would stick to baby dry regardless as I feel that they are more effective than active at night.

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?

Probably not, sorry. Maybe for fit but I would more likely steer them in the direction of Baby Dry, which I still love!

(Sorry Pampers...)

passmethewineplease · 16/10/2014 11:17

Tried them for my DS who's 11 months and in 4+...

What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?

Nice and thin, not too bulky, find them easier to put on then when thinner, also look better under outfits when not bulging out like some others do. Nice design not that my 11 month old really cares what he pees/poos in.

  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time? Daytime was fine and kept my DS dry and comfortable, night time he woke up a bit damp though. Could be DP not putting it on tight enough but when changed it didn't look overly loose. However wasn't massively wet so think my DS must of done a lot of wees in the night!
  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not? I would but only if I got them on some sort of bulk offer, the supermarket ones are quite a bit cheaper and the difference in price doesn't justify the inflated price IMO. You usually get more in the own brand packs as well.
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?

Yes, I'd advise them to wait till they're on offer though!

Stevie77 · 16/10/2014 11:34

DS is 6 months and we tried a size 4.

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?

Nappies were thin so didn't add bulk and felt soft. Haven't noticed the smell that has been mentioned by others, either before using the nappies or during.

  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?

No problems using the nappies. They seemed to fit well and have had no issues with leaks. We've been going through a spell of leaks at night and have tried a couple of other brands and sizes so were keen to see how Pampers' nappies cope, which they did very well.

  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Would use again but due to price probably only at night.

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?

Absolutely, based on our experience and the fact they have stopped DS waking up wet through.

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 16/10/2014 11:39

We tried the 5+ with my 18 month old DD :)

What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit? I thought they were an excellent fit, thin for an active toddler and absorbed what it needed to.

How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time? They were really good, you can see why they are more expensive, the fit and absorbancy from such a thin nappy was impressive. For us they also performed well at night, no leaks or wet skin in the morning. They even (almost) contained a spectacular poonami that I think a lesser nappy would have made a real mess of.

Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not? I would use these again, especially of they were on special offer.

If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit? Yes I definitely would reccomended these for active toddlers.

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 16/10/2014 11:40

Ooh forgot to add, I was a uprising that these did not bulk up hugely after a night of wearing them! Even normal pampers get so bulky and heavy they pull down, these didn't!

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 16/10/2014 11:41

^ surprised

InAndOfMyself · 16/10/2014 12:12

My son is 16 months old and we tested size 6 nappies.

What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
Very positive. The nappies are soft and fit well.

How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
Very well. We had no unexpected leaks, they fit well, and didn’t cause any irritation at all.

Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
Probably only if on offer. In terms of performance they as good as the brand I currently buy but they are more expensive.

If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
Absolutely, they do a good job, they’re soft, not too bulky, and the designs are cute (if that sort of thing is important to you).

JuniperTisane · 16/10/2014 12:20

DS is 21 months and in a size 5 nappy.
- What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
Nice and thin with a good stretch on the sides and good stickies. The rise wasn't very high on DS though, as if they were a size too small even though he is towards the lower end of the size range. I had a little trouble getting them comfortably on him and they left red marks when I took them off. I don't have this problem with the Babydry, oddly enough.

- How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
No better, no worse than any other brand. No leaks, bum seemed much as ever.

- Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
No. They don't fit DS very well and they are very expensive.

- If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
Not based on our trial. I wouldn't say they were bad, they did the job but I prefer my normal brand and its price.

Elemental · 16/10/2014 12:29

Since I put the last feedback we've continued to have poo leakages every day since (specutacularly so this morning, as it leaked all over our bed too...). My dd is teething and so perhaps the poos are more uncontainable than usual, I'm not sure, but at the minute the performance is not great.

RueDeWakening · 16/10/2014 12:42

Testing with DS, 17 months old, size 4+

- What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
Pretty good, all in all. They feel softer than the (Tesco own brand) nappies we normally use, and seem to irritate his waist less too. Don't particularly like the pictures on them, they're really washed out and dull looking, but meh, we don't use nappies because they look pretty (any more, time was I could use washables...) :o

- How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
Daytime - fine, changed three or four times during the day mostly due to poo, never leaked or anything, didn't smell.
Night time - really impressed actually! We usually put him in a size 5 overnight, just to hold the mega-wee that happens. Tesco 4+ definitely leak overnight, so I was apprehensive about trying these. But (surprisingly) these were fine, worked well, no leakage issues at all.

- Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
I might use them again, if I can buy them on offer or something. Even though they do perform better than supermarket own brand, I'm not sure the additional cost justifies buying them all the time. Sorry.

- If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
Yes, I've had no complaints using these at all. I still think they're expensive though.

hippychick42 · 16/10/2014 12:54

My 1 year old daughter has been trying out the size 4 Active Fit nappies and I have to say they do seem to keep her drier than her current nappies. They're really easy to put on, lightweight and seem to fit her really well. She has had them on both day and night without any leaks and she can easily crawl whilst wearing them. If I wasn't trying to be a bit more environmentally friendly, then I would definitely use them again. I currently use Naty by Nature Babycare for disposable nappies, as they are mostly biodegradable, but that does mean they unfortunately do not keep her dry like the Pampers Active Fit do or fit quite as well. Naty nappies become quite bulky when wet! I would definitely recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents, if they wanted great fitting disposable nappies, which help to keep their child dry. A great product - just wish they were biodegradable!! :-)

0898 · 16/10/2014 13:12

My son is two and a half and we've been testing the 5+ size

-What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?

The decoration was a little more gaudy than I've been used to. There was a very strong plastic-like smell to the nappies, but aside from that I was impressed with the slimness and the stretch. They kept him dry overnight every night and after a few days use I could sleep easier knowing that I wouldn't be woken up in the small hours with a leaking nappy and wet pyjamas and bedding to attend to. Not that they stopped him waking up for other reasons but you can't win 'em all.

  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?

Absolutely fine, no leaks even when my son did one if his famous poosplosions, which my regular nappies usually let out at the waist. At night time they passed the soggy pyjamas test every night, my washing machine is having a well-earned break.

  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

We're on a very tight budget at the moment so can't really justify the extra. However if I saw Pampers Active Fit on a really good offer I'd stock up even if it was just to use them at night.

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?

Definitely, especially for parents of bigger toddlers who are heavy wetters but not quite ready for pull-ups. It's been great to have that reassurance at night that he'll stay dry even though he is a very acrobatic sleeper. I'd mention that they're more expensive, but to those friends who could afford it it's worth the extra for the peace of mind.

MrsRaegan · 16/10/2014 13:13

We tested the nappies with DS who is 14 months. (Thanks for selecting us!)

What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit? I felt they were less bulky than other brands, including Pampers babydry which is what we use. I didn't notice a smell. And thought they came up quite roomy compared to other nappies of the same size.

How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time? Very well through the day, and again seemed to feel a lot less bulky under his clothes. Through the night I can't say I noticed any difference between Active Fit and Baby Dry. He was dry and comfy in the morning.

Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not? I would use them again if i was able to mix and match in the supermarket two for £20 with the other pampers brands. Otherwise i would stick to bulk buying the babydry when on offer. Simply through habit and penny saving.

- If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?

Yes I'd recommend them but Pampers was my chosen brand before the trial anyway.

weeblueberry · 16/10/2014 13:30

I tried the 4+ size for DD who's 17 months

What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?

They were fine. Overall I didn't think they performed any better than what we're currently using which are the Pampers Dry nappies. The designs were cute and they were definitely thinner but to the products detriment.

How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?

We're having to change her about 2x more during the day than with the Dry nappies. Honestly I don't think she's got more freedom in them either. Couldn't use them at night - went through twice in the morning to find the wee had leaked out the top of the nappy and onto her pjs.

Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

No. They're the same price as the Dry nappies and I'm actually using fewer of those because I think they hold the urine better.

If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?

Unless they were finding their baby/toddler felt constricted by the Dry nappies or their current brand I probably wouldn't.
