Weight Watchers Feedback Thread NOW CLOSED

AngelieMumsnet · 29/09/2014 14:53

This is the feedback thread for the Mumsnetters who are testing out the Weight Watchers programme.

Weight Watchers say: “With 50 years of success behind us we understand how to make losing weight simple, delicious and fun; but we also understand how challenging it can be when you’re facing it alone. Join us to lose weight, feel fantastic and achieve great things. You can follow our healthy eating plan completely online with support from our unique community, or benefit from attending our lively meetings, for personal coaching and weight loss guidance.”

Testers: we'll be asking you to add feedback once a week - we'd like your first impressions now and every week after that, we'll be posting some new questions for you to answer.

So, in terms of your first impressions...

~ Will you be going to meetings, following the plan online or a bit of both?
~ Why did you sign up to test out the Weight Watchers plan?
~ What sorts of foods do you think you'll be eating following the plan? Will it be a big change for you?

Everyone who adds their feedback will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will receive a £100 Asda voucher, good luck!

Please note: your anonymous comments may be used by Weight Watchers on their website and other marketing materials.

Thanks,
MNHQ

I have just noticed that I have been charged twice by weight watchers.
I know this has happened to others too and I think it's absolutely dreadful that weight watchers have done this to testers.

I have messages you Angelie and will not be answering any of the questions until I am refunded.

Shame on weight watchers.

iwantgin · 13/11/2014 22:30

Oh no ledkr . That's no good. I thought it had all been sorted out.

Ledkr · 13/11/2014 22:54

It's really bad isn't it? My internet banking has been kaput so I've only just noticed, for some people that would be taking them overdrawn. Cheeky sods.

Teladi · 14/11/2014 15:36
  • How have you found the Weight Watchers experience over the past month?
I have lost the weight, I like the online tracker, I don't like the phone app but I wish I did!
  • What did you think of the Weight Watchers plan?
It works for losing weight and I haven't been hungry - so all good! I didn't like Filling and Healthy much.
  • Would you recommend Weight Watchers to other Mumsnetters and/or your friends and family? Why?
I would, especially for people who are feeling a bit paralysed about how to go about losing weight and need to be TOLD what to do. This was me!

Really hoping to get my 10% tomorrow, as I was just 1lb away at my last weigh-in. By Christmas, I will no longer be obese Smile

iwantgin · 16/11/2014 19:37

Good luck shy. You should do it if only a lb to go.

I want to make the stone off tomorrow. going by the bathroom scales at home I should have cracked it, but will see ..

bshree08 · 17/11/2014 10:06

hello everyone
I have been charged by ww twice, Angry I'm really cross and just want to know if any of you have been charged. I'm going to cancel my membership.
P.S ( I have been charged on 10oct and 11 nov)
Please reply

Sixgeese · 17/11/2014 13:26

I set up my membership with CC payments, I was charged in October but refunded within a couple of days on the same statement. I won't find out about November until first week in December when I get my statement - I don't have Internet banking nor a local branch.

iwantgin · 17/11/2014 16:11

Have you contacted Angeliemumsnet to get it sorted out??

I was charged for the first month - but got a refund after a few days once I had reported it.

Hope you get it sorted out soon.

Ledkr · 17/11/2014 18:45

I was charged in oct and nov I'm pretty pissed off tbh, Angelie was on the case as soon as I pm'd her.
Really bad form by weight watchers, I certainly am not staying with them.
An app called value points plus is just as good.

iwantgin · 17/11/2014 22:40

Weigh in this eve for me.

Have lost 2.5lbs so am half a lb off a stone loss in 8 weeks.

Sixgeese · 18/11/2014 10:10

Just got weighted, I am another who lost 2.5 pounds this week so I am also 0.5 pounds off losing 1 stone.

Well done i wantgin, I hope you are as thrilled with your weight loss as I am.

iwantgin · 18/11/2014 15:52

Ooh sixgeese that's a coincidence.

Heres to next week. We newd to smash the stone barrier! !

ShyPhilosopher · 19/11/2014 14:06

Well done to both of you! Flowers

I got my 3rd Silver 7 on Monday, plus my 10% award. That meant I got a certificate & a keyring (which looks like a vibrating cock ring lol). I can't quite believe I'm just 1lb off no longer being obese & there's still a couple of months until my monthly pass expires. Am therefore now working towards my 15%. I've gone from a size 20, to being able to wear some size 14 clothes! Smile

iwantgin · 19/11/2014 15:43

That's great shy

Am v impressed with 3 silver 7s!!! :)

LottieAndTheDinosaur · 20/11/2014 11:20

Wow that's brilliant shy well done!

My monthly pass ran out on 31st Oct and still not received a new one? Good job my phone app pass says expiry end of Jan...so have we been given 4 months free trial not 3 months?

Sixgeese · 20/11/2014 20:36

I'm still waiting for my new card too, my existing one runs out tomorrow, I guess I will have to show my phone app pass too from next week.

iwantgin · 20/11/2014 22:09

I think my card expires on 24.11. Will have to follow you guys and show app with monthly pass.

dobedobedo · 23/11/2014 18:32

I've had phone issues, but 2lbs down this week, yay! That's despite a few too many uncounted glasses of wine and a KFC hangover cure.

iwantgin · 24/11/2014 10:32

Well done dobedobe That's great.

I just popped up for my weigh in. I lost 1.5lb this week - so am now 15lbs down. Nice.

I didn't think I had lost this week despite being pretty strict and sticking to plan.

Phew! Grin

Sixgeese · 24/11/2014 11:54

That's great iwantgin well done.

Hopefully I will have good news tomorrow too, but I have eaten 19 of my weeklies this week, so I feel a bit guilty.

iwantgin · 24/11/2014 12:07

Well, they are there to be eaten. Although I tend not to unless necessary.

We had a bottle of cava on Saturday night - with nuts - and I felt terribly guilty afterwards. As in, there was no need for it. Just a night at home.

Hmm..

Good luck for you tomorrow.

iwantgin · 24/11/2014 12:07

My monthly pass card ran out yesterday. I guess not getting another?

Luckily I can just show it on the app on my phone.

Sixgeese · 25/11/2014 12:01

I only lost 0.5 pounds, so not my best week. Never mind a loss is a loss and I now have my stone.

iwantgin · 25/11/2014 15:32

Hurray! a stone is great.

Can't stop eating today. Have only 13 pro points remaining for the day - have to have dinner and drinks out at the pub out of that. ooops.
