Q1. Why did you want to take part in this product test? What aspect of Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner appealed most?

As we have three children, five cats and a dog, who all enjoy the outdoor life, anything that makes the (daily) cleaning of the floors in my house easier would be more than welcome!

Q2. Where in your home did you use the Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner? What type of floor did you use it on?

I used it in the kitchen (vinyl flooring), the hallway (quarry tiles) and the conservatory/utility room (laminate flooring).

Q3. What was your overall impression of Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like?

I liked the look of the packaging, the smell and the concept of a 'straight to floor' product. I thought that the bottle was rather small and would run out quickly.

Q4. How would you describe or rate the fragrance of the product? How did you find not having to rinse the floor afterwards?

I liked the fragrance, I didn't think it was too overpowering, but was a pleasant smell. It felt a bit odd not rinsing the floor afterwards, but it was fine, there was no residue left.

Q5. How much time would you say it saved you? What sort of situation do you think this would be particularly useful for?

I'm not sure it saved me that much time tbh, perhaps only long enough to fill the mop bucket, as I usually used diluted floor cleaner and don't need to rinse that off either. I think it would be useful for a quick 'squirt and wipe over clean' for when unexpected guests are on their way.

Q6. How effective did you find Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner compared to your usual cleaning product?

It was ok, no better and no worse than my usual cleaner.

Q7. The RRP for Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner is £2.00 (750ml bottle), do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not?

I think as it is used straight to floor that I would be unlikely to buy it as it works out more expensive per clean than my usual concentrated floor cleaner. That said, I don't think it's unreasonably priced, just that I am penny pinching as much as possible at present!

Q8. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would certainly mention that I had tested it and that I liked it.

Q1. Why did you want to take part in this product test? What aspect of Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner appealed most?

My floors are rank and I hate washing them (might be a link there ...)

Q2. Where in your home did you use the Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner? What type of floor did you use it on?

I liked the smell - clean and fresh but not overpowering

It is fab for quick cleaning. Spills, muddy footprints etc. Didn't particularly save time though.

Very although it seems quite concentrated and it did leave the floor slippery, even after it had dried.

Q7. The RRP for Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner is £2.00 (750ml bottle), do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not?

I might, yes, it is so convenient.

Q8. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

I probably would but with a warning about it being slippery.

A: No need to rinse, anything that means less effort appeals to me housework wise!

Q2. Where in your home did you use the Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner? What type of floor did you use it on?
A: Laminate (Kitchen), stone tiles (Bathroom), real wood (sitting room)

Q3. What was your overall impression of Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like?
A: I liked that it didn't come out too fast from the bottle, I've used others that come out really quickly. Nice big bottle should last a while. Nothing that I didn't really like

Q4. How would you describe or rate the fragrance of the product? How did you find not having to rinse the floor afterwards?
A: In all honesty I didn't really notice a fragrance. Loved not having to rinse the floors

Q5. How much time would you say it saved you? What sort of situation do you think this would be particularly useful for?
A: Saved about 5 mins, I used it for generaly cleaning but also for cleaning up quick spills in the kitchen, like milk for example, mop with water, rinse the mop squirt stuff on and then mop and leave it to dry. I plan on using it on the bathrom wall tiles when I can be bothered

Q1. Why did you want to take part in this product test? What aspect of Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner appealed most?
My floors get dirty very quickly with 4 children! The ease and speed of use appealed the most.

Q2. Where in your home did you use the Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner? What type of floor did you use it on? Tiled floors in bathroom and kitchen

Q3. What was your overall impression of Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like? Cleaned as well as my usual floor cleaner. Quick to use and no preparing bucket. Down side is even hoovering beforehand, any little bits still on floor have to be picked up, rather than rinsed off mop in bucket.

Q4. How would you describe or rate the fragrance of the product? How did you find not having to rinse the floor afterwards? Discrete fragrance, but not chemical or bleach smell. Felt odd not rinsing though. Was bit concerned it would affect the tiles.

Q5. How much time would you say it saved you? What sort of situation do you think this would be particularly useful for? It saved on time preparing the bucket, but not on actual cleaning. I think it is more suited to spot cleaning on a bit of kitchen roll or cloth.

Q6. How effective did you find Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner compared to your usual cleaning product? Did the job as well as my regular floor cleaner, but I wasn't really sure if I used too much or too little.

Q7. The RRP for Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner is £2.00 (750ml bottle), do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not? I think it is good to have in the cupboard for a quick once over or spot cleaning, but I would probably wait to buy it on offer. I think my regular cleaner, which you dilute, will last longer.

Q8. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not? Yes, but with the same recommendations I gave here.

Q1. Why did you want to take part in this product test? What aspect of Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner appealed most?
It feels like a constant battle to keep our floors clean each day, so I was looking forward to trying something new that would hopefully make keeping the floors clean easier.

Q2. Where in your home did you use the Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner? What type of floor did you use it on?
I used Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner on the kitchen tiles, bathroom tiles and the wooden floors in the bedrooms and hallway.

Q3. What was your overall impression of Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like?
I thought this cleaner was good. It was easy to use and left the floors clean. I liked the fact the cleaner could be applied directly to the floor and a damp mop could then be used to clean.

Q4. How would you describe or rate the fragrance of the product? How did you find not having to rinse the floor afterwards?
This cleaner smells lovely and fresh.

Q5. How much time would you say it saved you? What sort of situation do you think this would be particularly useful for?
This cleaner is definitely a time saver. I was able to apply it straight to the floor and quickly mop it over with a damp mop.

Q6. How effective did you find Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner compared to your usual cleaning product?
This cleaner is as effective as anything else I use, but it is certainly easier to use than a product that needs to be added to a bucket of water.

Q7. The RRP for Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner is £2.00 (750ml bottle), do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not?

Q8. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would recommend this product. I would tell my friends it is easy to use as can be applied directly to the floor.

I will try to upload photos later.

Q1. Why did you want to take part in this product test? What aspect of Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner appealed most?
Always interested in time-saving but effective cleaning
Q2. Where in your home did you use the Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner? What type of floor did you use it on?
Downstairs toilet floor and ensuite floor, both laminate
Q3. What was your overall impression of Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like?
Easy to use but not very quick-drying
Q4. How would you describe or rate the fragrance of the product? How did you find not having to rinse the floor afterwards?
Fragrance fine and not too strong. Found not rinsing the floor an odd concept, ie can it really be clean?!
Q5. How much time would you say it saved you? What sort of situation do you think this would be particularly useful for?
Saved time making up a bucket of floor cleaner and then getting bucket of fresh water. That's only five minutes I suppose but it's less hassle this way. Useful for quick clean-ups or sticky spills
Q6. How effective did you find Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner compared to your usual cleaning product? Seems to be similar but am unsure of the non-rinse factor, even though I like the idea

Q1. Why did you want to take part in this product test? What aspect of Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner appealed most?

Liked to try something new and hoping to find something to make housework faster.

Q2. Where in your home did you use the Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner? What type of floor did you use it on? I used it on the Lino in the kitchen and bathroom.

Q3. What was your overall impression of Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like? I liked that it was quick to use. I didn't like there was not guidance on what amount of it to use.

Q4. How would you describe or rate the fragrance of the product? How did you find not having to rinse the floor afterwards? I liked the smell of the product, it did feel strange not to rinse afterwards.

Q5. How much time would you say it saved you? What sort of situation do you think this would be particularly useful for? Probably saved about 5 minutes (small house!)

Q6. How effective did you find Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner compared to your usual cleaning product? It cleaned well, about the same as my usual cleaning product.

Q1. Why did you want to take part in this product test? What aspect of Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner appealed most?
I like to try anything that helps me get the place clean in less time!

Q2. Where in your home did you use the Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner? What type of floor did you use it on?
Kitchen floor (Amtico), dining room floor (stripped floorboards and hall floor (wood parquet)

Q3. What was your overall impression of Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like?
I like not having to get out the mop bucket and fill it

Q4. How would you describe or rate the fragrance of the product? How did you find not having to rinse the floor afterwards?
Fragrance was nice but didn't last. I like not having to rinse but am not sure if that would be practical long term, the muck has to go somewhere and I would sooner it went into the bucket and down the drain than was pushed around the floor.

Q5. How much time would you say it saved you? What sort of situation do you think this would be particularly useful for?
It doesn't take long to get the bucket and fill it, only a few minutes, but it is all hassle. I think I would use this more for spills, odd mucky marks or a quick wipeover rather than a deep clean.

Q6. How effective did you find Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner compared to your usual cleaning product?
It was good, much the same as my normal one in hot water

Q7. The RRP for Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner is £2.00 (750ml bottle), do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not?
I will buy it again but will use it in addition to my normal cleaner which would be much cheaper as you dilute it

Q8. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes as a good convenience product

Update: I've been using the CIF for about a week now. I think it's great, especially for when you're doing a quick clean. I will still use a mop and bucket when I'm doing the big clean but it's quick and handy for day-to-day.

My DDs are 11 and 12 so I can give it to them to use too, which is handy as I'm trying to get them to help more and it's a very wet half term, so the floors need more cleaning than usual.

I have now tried the blue and the pink and like them both. I really love the smell of the pink, it's floral but quite mild, so doesn't over power. The blue is a bit more bleachy, but still nice.

I will be continuing to use the CIF as a bottle goes a long way.

Q1. Why did you want to take part in this product test? What aspect of Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner appealed most?

We have a cat that is forever making dirty little paw prints across the floor and I have twin preschoolers who still make lots of mess at meal times. I was hoping this product would save me time and keep my kitchen looking nice.

Q2. Where in your home did you use the Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner? What type of floor did you use it on?

I used it mainly in my kitchen which has a light coloured wooden floor.

Q3. What was your overall impression of Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like?

I liked the scent, and that it was much quicker and easier to spot clean after meals.

Q4. How would you describe or rate the fragrance of the product? How did you find not having to rinse the floor afterwards?

Lovely, I like it, fresh but not overpowering.

Q5. How much time would you say it saved you? What sort of situation do you think this would be particularly useful for?

It has made my kitchen cleaner, as I used to put off moping the whole floor as it's so time consuming. Now I do it as and when so has definitely saved time & effort.

Q6. How effective did you find Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner compared to your usual cleaning product?

Very effective probably as good in terms of cleaning but much better in terms of time saving and ease of use.

Q7. The RRP for Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner is £2.00 (750ml bottle), do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes That's a fair price.

Q1. Why did you want to take part in this product test? What aspect of Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner appealed most?
I wanted to take part in this product test because I am pregnant and felt myself so miserable and sick that doing house chores for me it is so hard and floor washing is time consuming ( I am 23 weeks now and only started to feel myself human again:) Most appealed: wash floor without bucket and water, something new and different!

Q2. Where in your home did you use the Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner? What type of floor did you use it on?

I used it on our kitchen , bathroom and toilet - vinyl flooring.

Q3. What was your overall impression of Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like?

My overall expression: wow!!! That was fast! It was so easy and hassle free to wash floors and I really felt myself good that it didn't took a lot of effort to do this house chore.I liked that I didn't needed bucket with water, also my floor dried really quickly and fragrance was lovely. Cif express even passed my husband's "bare feet test", he told that floor felt clean and nice.
All in all I liked everything however I think that for everyday cleaning solution it will work quite expensive, especially if bought not on special promotion.

Q4. How would you describe or rate the fragrance of the product? How did you find not having to rinse the floor afterwards?

Fragrance was lovely, just right strength. I tested Cif antibacterial express direct to floor. It was strange feeling just use dry mop and I wasn't sure that my floor will be as clean as after my usual floor cleaner but floor looked good.

Q5. How much time would you say it saved you? What sort of situation do you think this would be particularly useful for?

We have small storage space and it take some time while I take out my bucket, fill it with water, add floor cleaner, wash floors, empty bucket and put it back. Than wait when my floor will dry. With Cif direct to floor,I just splashed it to floor mopped and that was it. Easy, fast, hassle free.
I think it is great when you don't feel yourself very well( pregnant for example:) as it take much less time and effort to wash floors. My son time from time mess toilet, there are wee splashes on floor, not to often but happens when he is in a hurry, and it was so easy and fast to wash toilet floor with Cif direct to floor.

Q6. How effective did you find Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner compared to your usual cleaning product?
I was sceptical at the beginning as I always used water to clean floor and cleaner without water sounded sooooooooooooo unbelievable ! But it worked, even better than I expected!

Q7. The RRP for Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner is £2.00 (750ml bottle), do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not?

I saw it on promotion on Sainsbury's it cost 1 £ and already bought one more bottle as on promotion it works out much better value. All in all of course I will agree with those who wrote that it is expensive way to wash floor, as bottle lasts approx 4-5 wash times and using water you need less floor cleaner and it lasts for ages and works out less expensive. As I said before I am pregnant and really don't feel myself so great, better than before but still not so great and to do usual things like cooking, cleaning is very hard, that's why I am grateful to those things which help to make my life easier and at the moment of course even if it works out more expensive to use Cif direct to floors it takes less time and effort to clean and anyway it is cheaper than pay to cleaner.

Q8. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, definitely, as this is something new and different and take less time and effort to clean floors and everyone have their own different situations when Cif direct to floor cleaner could be life saver!

So sorry for the late review!! Just back from hols etc so first opportunity to review properly today :-)

Q1. Why did you want to take part in this product test? What aspect of Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner appealed most?
I've got hard flooring (tiles & oak) in all rooms downstairs . . . . Plus 2 mucky dogs and a little boy, so I'm constantly vacuuming & mopping. Looking for an in between alternative to mop & bucket.
Q2. Where in your home did you use the Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner? What type of floor did you use it on?
Used it on the tiles & oak.
Q3. What was your overall impression of Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like?
I was surprised how much I did like it. I didn't think some liquid and an essentially dry mop would make much indent, but great for freshening up between deep cleans.
Q4. How would you describe or rate the fragrance of the product? How did you find not having to rinse the floor afterwards?
Fragrance (pink) didn't really grab me. Bit bland and no fragrance when I returned from work this evening after using this morning.
Like no rinsing though :-)
Q5. How much time would you say it saved you? What sort of situation do you think this would be particularly useful for?
Great for in between tidy ups, but still can't beat a proper steamy mop.
Q6. How effective did you find Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner compared to your usual cleaning product?
Cleaned day to day grub, but wouldn't have a hope if the dogs were muddy!!
Q7. The RRP for Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner is £2.00 (750ml bottle), do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not?
Useful for a backup product, and possibly will buy when on offer (2 for 1, etc)
Q8. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, as a good quick cleaning standby product.

Q5. How much time would you say it saved you? What sort of situation do you think this would be particularly useful for? Didn't save that much time but saved me hunting for the bucket!

Q6. How effective did you find Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner compared to your usual cleaning product? Seemed as good as my normal cleaner.

Q7. The RRP for Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner is £2.00 (750ml bottle), do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not? Seems quite pricey, you do seem to use a lot of this product as opposed to a cap or 2 in a bucket of water, so I don't think a bottle would last as long.

Q8. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not? Yes, because it is easy to use and smells nice and did a good job too.

Q1. Why did you want to take part in this product test? What aspect of Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner appealed most?

I am quite lazy (hence being one of the last to reply). Anything that can make my life easier is always welcome.

Q2. Where in your home did you use the Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner? What type of floor did you use it on?

The kitchen, which is tile effect vinyl, and the bathroom which is vinyl.

Q3. What was your overall impression of Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like?

I loved it! I have a mop bucket phobia, so normally get on my hands and knees with floor wipes. So I loved not breaking my back, whilst still not having a mop bucket.

Q4. How would you describe or rate the fragrance of the product? How did you find not having to rinse the floor afterwards?

I loved the smell, it was strong enough to smell fresh, but not overpowering. I loved not having to rinse, but then I never rinse anyway. I did think it would be a fraction quicker to dry than it actually was, but it wasn't sticky to walk on.

Q5. How much time would you say it saved you? What sort of situation do you think this would be particularly useful for?

For me, it wasn't about time saved, but it did save me about ten minutes. It also saved my back. This would be useful for when guests call with minimal notice. Squirt this around, and it's dry before they cross the front door.

Q6. How effective did you find Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner compared to your usual cleaning product?

I normally have to use a lot of elbow power to get dirt off, so although it was just as effective, it was much more effortless.

Q7. The RRP for Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner is £2.00 (750ml bottle), do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, definitely. I normally use about 8 wipes per room, so this would probably work out cheaper.

Q8. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes. I already have.

(I suspect my photos might be back to front also)

Q1. Why did you want to take part in this product test? What aspect of Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner appealed most?

I wanted to try it for quick floor cleans for times when I can't be bothered to do the whole mop and bucket thing....that would be most of the time then.

Q2. Where in your home did you use the Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner? What type of floor did you use it on?

In the kitchen on laminate flooring.

Q3. What was your overall impression of Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like?

I liked it. I liked the fact I could clean the floor quickly.

Q4. How would you describe or rate the fragrance of the product? How did you find not having to rinse the floor afterwards?

I liked the fragrance. I've used a similar product in the past made by Dettol, so am used to not rinsing.

Q5. How much time would you say it saved you? What sort of situation do you think this would be particularly useful for?

20 mins. It's useful for a quick clean of the floor. Normal rinsing takes ages to dry. Also, a quick squirt round the loo as my boys seem to have a bad aim.

Q6. How effective did you find Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner compared to your usual cleaning product?

Just as effective.

Q7. The RRP for Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner is £2.00 (750ml bottle), do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not?

Probably - if it's on offer at some point.

Q8. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

I'd recommend it to my mum. She can't buy the Dettol one and I have bought it for her in the past, so I'm sure she'd like to buy this one if it's more widely available.

Q1. Why did you want to take part in this product test? What aspect of Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner appealed most?
I have messy children, and a dog who refuses to wipe her paws before she wanders around the house, so was hoping this would be a time saving miracle for me. The express part appealed the most!

Q2. Where in your home did you use the Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner? What type of floor did you use it on?
I used it on the living room laminate, and the kitchen and bathroom vinyl.

Q3. What was your overall impression of Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like?
I liked it a lot. I'm guilty of over wetting my laminate when I mop usually, so it was really good not to need a bucket (which nearly always gets sloshed over) Nothing I didn't like.

Q4. How would you describe or rate the fragrance of the product? How did you find not having to rinse the floor afterwards?
I really like the smell- was like clean washing. Lovely.

Q5. How much time would you say it saved you? What sort of situation do you think this would be particularly useful for?
I'm not sure how much time it saved, but it saved the messy bucket carrying around, and gross water emptying which is amazing! It's great for situations such as your teenage daughter spilling coffee wherever she goes ;)

Q6. How effective did you find Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner compared to your usual cleaning product?
Very effective. I struggled a bit with the 'feeling' that I wasn't cleaning properly, but the results proved otherwise.

Q7. The RRP for Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner is £2.00 (750ml bottle), do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, would definitely buy again.

Q8. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Cif Express Direct to Floor Cleaner to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, would recommend. Good price and good results.
