This thread is for the 150 Mumsnetters who have been trying Always Dailies Flexible Liners.

Non testers: Add your thoughts on the small things that make a positive difference to your day for a chance to win £100.

Always say "All women, whether they're pregnant or not, have some vaginal discharge – but during pregnancy and at other times of the month or at certain times in our lives, the amount of discharge often increases. This is perfectly normal and healthy and shows that your body is working correctly.

Always Dailies Pantyliners help to cope with the additional discharge – by locking away the moisture all day. These ultra-thin, breathable pantyliners absorb any moisture, and can be replaced whenever you want a boost of freshness and added comfort."

Non-testers: Share on this thread what, on an average day, are the small things that help boost your confidence, such as the use of a pantyliner, which keeps you feeling fresh and dry throughout the day. Everyone who shares their thoughts will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win £100 of Love2Shop vouchers.

Testers: Thank you to all of you who are taking part. Below are a few questions for you to answer but please feel free to add any other comments you have too.

  1. What was your overall impression of Always Dailies Pantyliners?

  1. When using Always Dailies Pantyliners, did you feel any fresher or more comfortable and confident throughout the day? If so, why? If not, why not?

  1. Did you feel they were easy and simple to use as part of an everyday routine?

  1. If you are pregnant, would you recommend them to a pregnant or new mum whose body is going through a similar experience? If so, why? If not, why not?

  1. How likely or unlikely are you to use them again?

  1. What did you / will you buy with your Figleaves voucher?

Every tester who adds their feedback to this thread will be entered into a prize draw where one MN tester will win a £200 Love2Shop voucher.

Thanks and good luck,

  1. Very good. I liked that the adhesive went right to the edge.

  1. Yes, although I use pant liners usually anyway. Because of the fully sticky back, I felt they stayed in place better than my usual Boots liners and were more comfortable because they didn't bunch up.

  1. Easy to use, slim and comfortable.

  1. Not pregnant, but I would recommend them to pregnant friends.

  1. Very likely.

  1. Nothing yet, but will be looking for some T-shirt bras very soon Smile

1. What was your overall impression of Always Dailies Pantyliners?

Very thin, discreet and do the job. Packaging is minimal which is another bonus.

2. When using Always Dailies Pantyliners, did you feel any fresher or more comfortable and confident throughout the day? If so, why? If not, why not?

Surprisingly, they did make me feel a bit fresher. I didn't expect it as they are so think but they lasted all day.

3. Did you feel they were easy and simple to use as part of an everyday routine?

Yes, easy to apply and the sticky bit covers the whole pad so it stays in place all day. Only issue is, it is easy to forget about them so could easily end up in the wash in the evening which is not so good.

4. If you are pregnant, would you recommend them to a pregnant or new mum whose body is going through a similar experience? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, I wouldn't normally use liners but as I am pregnant, I do feel a big difference and it's definitely worth someone trying them out.

5. How likely or unlikely are you to use them again?

I have already bought another pack using the voucher and will probably continue using them till the end of this pregnancy.

6. What did you / will you buy with your Figleaves voucher?

Haven't bought anything yet - had planned on getting nursing bras but not impressed by the choice in my size so may not use the voucher at all.

1. What was your overall impression of Always Dailies Pantyliners?

I like the feminine, lilac packaging and matching detail on the liners. The pattern does seem unnecessary but is pretty and makes me feel like I am using more than a basic product. It's important to treat yourself ;)

2. When using Always Dailies Pantyliners, did you feel any fresher or more comfortable and confident throughout the day? If so, why? If not, why not?

At first I thought the liners were quite thick compared to the brand I have been using for a while which are almost paper thin. However, I could not feel the liner in place when wearing it and it stayed in place without crumpling.
I have felt fresher and the liner is extremely absorbent. Being 16 1/2 weeks pregnant I have found it necessary to wear a liner everyday and I have felt much fresher than with the other brand I used.

3. Did you feel they were easy and simple to use as part of an everyday routine?

Yes. I usually use a liner anyway and the packaging was easy to open and then keep as a dispenser. An option with individual packaging wouldbe useful to carry a second liner, especially for those who are experiencing a lot of discharge (pregnant or light menstrual bleeding).

4. If you are pregnant, would you recommend them to a pregnant or new mum whose body is going through a similar experience? If so, why? If not, why not?

I have had conversations about the changes associated with pregnancy and discussed the use of Always Dailies including my participation in this trial. Already recommended to a pregnant friend.

5. How likely or unlikely are you to use them again?

Very likely, especially with the use of the voucher and if they are on offer.

6. What did you / will you buy with your Figleaves voucher?

I am yet to look but would like some feeding/maternity bras.

  1. Easy to use, but I would have preferred individually wrapped liners so that they could easily be put into a handbag discreetly.
  2. Yes - more confortable especially at certain times in my cycle.
  3. Yes - although see my comment at 1 about individual wrapped items.
  4. I am not pregnant, but have a young daughter and this was something new I had to buy in pregnancy that I had never done before, so I would recommend them.
  5. I am likely to use them again.
  6. Not used yet - not least as I am still bfing and don't know what size I am going to end up!

  1. What was your overall impression of Always Dailies Pantyliners?

I thought they'd be flimsy when I saw how thin they were, but they were fine. Nicely packaged, stayed in place and worked well.

  1. When using Always Dailies Pantyliners, did you feel any fresher or more comfortable and confident throughout the day? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes - I completely forgot they were there, which is my main test of comfort! Lasted well.

  1. Did you feel they were easy and simple to use as part of an everyday routine?

Completely straighforward.

  1. If you are pregnant, would you recommend them to a pregnant or new mum whose body is going through a similar experience? If so, why? If not, why not?

I'm not pregnant but would recommend them to someone who was, as they would certainly have worked well if I had been.

  1. How likely or unlikely are you to use them again?

I will be using these again regularly.

  1. What did you / will you buy with your Figleaves voucher?

I haven't yet managed to look to see what's available!

Non-tester here.

To boost my confidence every day:

  • clean hair, in a style that suits me & doesn't get destroyed by a breath of wind.
  • skin as clear as possible, so I'm trying to imrpove my skincare regime.
  • walk tall (I'm short & can't wear heels so every bit helps.)
  • I only wear clothes in colours & styles that suit me. Don't worry about the latest fashion.

  1. What was your overall impression of Always Dailies Pantyliners?

Thin, soft, discreet and comfortable. They were also perfect for my teens and I was pleased that they were unperfumed as I can't use perfumed liners/towels.

  1. When using Always Dailies Pantyliners, did you feel any fresher or more comfortable and confident throughout the day? If so, why? If not, why not?

About the same as other liners but they stayed in place and didn't scrunch up which was good. They also survived the water rides at Thorpe Park!

  1. Did you feel they were easy and simple to use as part of an everyday routine?

Very easy but there are better ones for popping into a handbag (folded, individually wrapped).

  1. If you are pregnant, would you recommend them to a pregnant or new mum whose body is going through a similar experience? If so, why? If not, why not?

I'm not currently pregnant but have the Mirena, which causes some spotting/discharge at times and they kept me fresh.

  1. How likely or unlikely are you to use them again?

Very likely, for me and the teens.

  1. What did you / will you buy with your Figleaves voucher?

Nothing yet, waiting for payday. :)

  1. better than the supermarket own brand I switched to when all teh scented stuff came out. It took too long to work out what was sented, and what was normal. I'll have to go back to reading the boxes carfully, as they are far superior.

  1. Couldn't tell a difference between days when i was wearing and days I forgot. However I always use liners when using my menstrul cup, and they are standing up well to the drips I seem to get when changing cup/tampons.

  1. I wouldn't use everyday after this test, but would move back to always for period time.

  1. na

5.I'll buy again, but not as a daily

  1. I replaced the white bra who's wire popped through the day the selection e-mail arrived. Excellent post efficiency (first one had to be returned) but unless making a like for like replacement, I'm unlikely to use them again - too much room for error in shape.

I was a tester.

1. What was your overall impression of Always Dailies Pantyliners?
Very thin and unperfumed. Discreet.

2. When using Always Dailies Pantyliners, did you feel any fresher or more comfortable and confident throughout the day? If so, why? If not, why not?
They were very comfortable to wear, to the point I didn't notice that I was wearing them. They left me feeling and confident that no one would notice that I was wearing the.

3. Did you feel they were easy and simple to use as part of an everyday routine?
Very simple and easy to use. They are very small, so easy to tuck away in even a small bag until needed.

4. If you are pregnant, would you recommend them to a pregnant or new mum whose body is going through a similar experience? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would recommend them to other pregnant woman as I felt they could easily cope with the increased discharge I have been experiencing since I've been pregnant

5. How likely or unlikely are you to use them again?
Very likely to use these again. The only negative was I felt that they could do with being slightly longer.

  1. What was your overall impression of Always Dailies Pantyliners?

Aside from the box being completely crushed, they were ok, I would of prefered them individually wrapped though.

  1. When using Always Dailies Pantyliners, did you feel any fresher or more comfortable and confident throughout the day? If so, why? If not, why not?

I didnt feel much difference, I felt more confident that I wasnt going to mark any of my nice knickers as my body us still settling after my implant.

  1. Did you feel they were easy and simple to use as part of an everyday routine?

Easy enough just put one on with my clean knickers in a morning but a shame they werent in an individual wrapper to dispose of them and to keep them fresh.

  1. When using Always Dailies Pantyliners, did you feel any fresher or more comfortable and confident throughout the day? If so, why? If not, why not?

I felt more comfortable than with any other pantyliner I have tried as I was oblivious to them even being on which I thought was amazing. I didn't feel it at all and felt fresh all day. I don't own big pants and normally pads or liners fall over the outside of my undies. These did a little but I didn't feel it one bit - can you tell I was impressed??

  1. Did you feel they were easy and simple to use as part of an everyday routine? Very easy.

have used cheaper brands before, these looked nice, same-ish to everything else, don't really stand out, did glance at the range in asda the other day and saw some in cool black packaging, don't know what they were but they were noticeable

yes, they did help a little, they could have been longer though, or wider at the front, never seem quite wide enough at the front

  1. Did you feel they were easy and simple to use as part of an everyday routine?

yes, the only thing always annoys me is dislike flushing them so always wrap and bin, wrapping wastes loo roll; and also the backing hard to peel off sometimes, could do with a little peel edge, and a more definite which way round - the peel edge would show the front,

  1. What was your overall impression of Always Dailies Pantyliners?

They were very thin compared to the usual liners I use, very discreet and pleasant to use.

  1. When using Always Dailies Pantyliners, did you feel any fresher or more comfortable and confident throughout the day? If so, why? If not, why not?

Didn't really notice they were there, in a good way! Kept me fresh and comfy but did discolour when used with a new pair of black pants!

  1. Did you feel they were easy and simple to use as part of an everyday routine?

Very easy.

  1. If you are pregnant, would you recommend them to a pregnant or new mum whose body is going through a similar experience? If so, why? If not, why not?

I had a baby 7 months ago and am still breastfeeding, therefore I don't get proper periods yet but do get a bit of random spotting, these liners were great for this. I used thicker liners all through my pregnancy not sure if these would have managed with the yuck that occured at times in those 9 months!! I would recommend them though.

  1. How likely or unlikely are you to use them again?

Normally buy cheaper own brand but would definately go for these if the price was competitive.

I am a tester, never used liners before and I am pregnant:

  1. They are ok. Definately better than not using a liner. But not perfect.

  2. Yes initially they feel fine but after a few hours become scrunched up a bit and uncomfortable. Sometimes they are bigger than the knicker bit they stick to (maybe I just wear small knickers though) and so I have to ditch them after an hour or so. I wouldn't call them dailies, more like half-dailies as they are much more comfortable if you change them mid-day.

  3. Yes

  4. Yes

  5. Likely, although may try the slightly thicker version to see if they are any better for me.

  6. Nothing yet - completely forgot about it

Tester here! I really liked this product, just wondering though, I tend to buy my 'lady products' monthly so generally only visit the aisle then in the supermarket. Why are the liners in packs of 24, to be fair I've noticed this with lots of brands and it annoys me! Please can companies sell these products in packs of 30?

  1. What was your overall impression of Always Dailies Pantyliners?

I liked them. They were comfortable to wear and felt good quality. They coped well with the initial spotting at the start of my period and I felt more secure wearing one during my period.

  1. When using Always Dailies Pantyliners, did you feel any fresher or more comfortable and confident throughout the day? If so, why? If not, why not?

I felt dryer and more comfortable. They didn’t bunch or roll like some cheaper liners can and the sticky backing kept them in place all day.

  1. Did you feel they were easy and simple to use as part of an everyday routine?

Yes

  1. If you are pregnant, would you recommend them to a pregnant or new mum whose body is going through a similar experience? If so, why? If not, why not?

Non-tester here.

Two small things make a big difference to me:

  1. I have a really tiny slimline makeup bag that I keep stocked with miniatures of key items (eyeliner, mascara, spot cover up, foundation, lip balm) that I keep with me at all times on office days. That way even if I'm stupidly short on sleep and it's been a long stressful day, I know I can spruce up quickly if I have a last-minute customer event right at the end of it all.

  1. I have stupidly unpredictable cycles, so I keep an emergency pantyliner and a tampon in every handbag. That way I know I'll never get caught out in a critical situation. It makes such a difference to my peace of mind and confidence.

Little things that brighten the day for me are when the sun comes out and I have time to look round the garden and notice new buds or plants pushing through the soil or like this weeks highlight, finding frog spawn in the pond. Gives me a feeling that all is right with the world!
