This thread is for the 150 Mumsnetters who have been trying Always Dailies Flexible Liners.

Non testers: Add your thoughts on the small things that make a positive difference to your day for a chance to win £100.

Always say "All women, whether they're pregnant or not, have some vaginal discharge – but during pregnancy and at other times of the month or at certain times in our lives, the amount of discharge often increases. This is perfectly normal and healthy and shows that your body is working correctly.

Always Dailies Pantyliners help to cope with the additional discharge – by locking away the moisture all day. These ultra-thin, breathable pantyliners absorb any moisture, and can be replaced whenever you want a boost of freshness and added comfort."

Non-testers: Share on this thread what, on an average day, are the small things that help boost your confidence, such as the use of a pantyliner, which keeps you feeling fresh and dry throughout the day. Everyone who shares their thoughts will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win £100 of Love2Shop vouchers.

Testers: Thank you to all of you who are taking part. Below are a few questions for you to answer but please feel free to add any other comments you have too.

  1. What was your overall impression of Always Dailies Pantyliners?

  1. When using Always Dailies Pantyliners, did you feel any fresher or more comfortable and confident throughout the day? If so, why? If not, why not?

  1. Did you feel they were easy and simple to use as part of an everyday routine?

  1. If you are pregnant, would you recommend them to a pregnant or new mum whose body is going through a similar experience? If so, why? If not, why not?

  1. How likely or unlikely are you to use them again?

  1. What did you / will you buy with your Figleaves voucher?

Every tester who adds their feedback to this thread will be entered into a prize draw where one MN tester will win a £200 Love2Shop voucher.

Thanks and good luck,

  1. What was your overall impression of Always Dailies Pantyliners?

Thin, Flexible and fresh

  1. When using Always Dailies Pantyliners, did you feel any fresher or more comfortable and confident throughout the day? If so, why? If not, why not?

TMI:

I felt fresh initially and have to say it is truly comfortable as it's the thinest liner i've ever used but as the day wore on I felt less comfortable and confident. I started to feel my discharge and ended up having to change, using up to Always three liners a day as against one of my usual brand

  1. Did you feel they were easy and simple to use as part of an everyday routine?

I use liners as part of my routine anyway so no difference really asides from the constant changing. That was inconvenient!

  1. If you are pregnant, would you recommend them to a pregnant or new mum whose body is going through a similar experience? If so, why? If not, why not?

Based on my experience using them, No!
I have a 17month old and I'm not currently pregnant. If this is how it feels when I'm not pregnant, it'll be real hard work when I am.

  1. How likely or unlikely are you to use them again?

Unlikely, which is a shame Sad as I love their sanitary towels

  1. What did you / will you buy with your Figleaves voucher?

Thinking of upgrading that nursing wardrobe so maybe a new bra or two.

Nice and neat, small box with plenty in there.

  1. When using Always Dailies Pantyliners, did you feel any fresher or more comfortable and confident throughout the day? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes definitely felt fresher and protected which in turn gave me confidence to carry as usual during the day in comfort. Stayed in place, didn't curl up at edges. Glad that they are not perfumed, wouldn't have used them if they were.

  1. Did you feel they were easy and simple to use as part of an everyday routine?

Absolutely, popped one on in the morning takes 2 seconds and it stays put all day.

  1. If you are pregnant, would you recommend them to a pregnant or new mum whose body is going through a similar experience? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes though I am not sure they are very different to other products on the market?

  1. How likely or unlikely are you to use them again?

Very likely, it's just what I need with an unpredictable cycle.

  1. What did you / will you buy with your Figleaves voucher?

I won't use this

Non-tester - I have a joint condition and feel most confident when I'm wearing good, supportive shoes or boots because I know I'm less likely to randomly fall over and embarrass myself.

Tester.

1. What was your overall impression of Always Dailies Pantyliners?
The usual sort are my preferred panty liners, though I tend to gravitate to whatever is on offer/available at the time. I'd not heard of the Flexible liners before and have been impressed. They seem lighter, but have performed just as well. Hopefully I'll be able to bulk buy them at Costco!

2. When using Always Dailies Pantyliners, did you feel any fresher or more comfortable and confident throughout the day? If so, why? If not, why not?
I always use panty liners, specifically because they make me feel more comfortable throughout the day. Means I don't have to worry about any minor pelvic floor stress failures or (when not pregnant) being caught out with my period arriving unexpectedly. One thing I did notice specifically with the Flexible liners is that they cope better with the stickier discharge I seem to have during pregnancy.

3. Did you feel they were easy and simple to use as part of an everyday routine?
Yes, but I've used panty liners for years so I'm used to the extra step to insert one in the morning.

4. If you are pregnant, would you recommend them to a pregnant or new mum whose body is going through a similar experience? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, if it happened to crop up in conversation and I was asked for brand suggestions.

5. How likely or unlikely are you to use them again?
Very.

6. What did you / will you buy with your Figleaves voucher?
I'm saving it until after giving birth, in order to get myself a lovely nursing bra.

I liked them. they were easy to use and although they looked the same thickness as my usual store brand panty liner I did find they were more flexible.
  1. When using Always Dailies Pantyliners, did you feel any fresher or more comfortable and confident throughout the day? If so, why? If not, why not?

I felt like I wasn't wearing a liner, the own brand ones can sometimes bunch up a bit.

Fresher yes, as I could easily change but I was very aware they were there.

I have just had a refit at Bravissimo but ended up with new bras that are a little unsupportive - I'll buy my new favourite Fantasie bra that I also bought from Bravissimo but in other colours and make a real saving as I replace the bouncy bras!

The small things that make me more confident is having my hair down as apposed to up (which is most days havin two kids!), wearing heels (very rare this happens to) and going out of the house in CLEAN clothes. Again this does not happen that often... My 11 month old thinks I am a human tissue with a never ending wardrobe of clean clothes (and nothing better to do than keep cleaning and ironing them!)

  1. I was happy with them, very good at staying put.

  1. I wouldn't say I felt fresher but did feel more confident than not using anything or my other liners that I have used as they didn't stay put as well.

  1. Yes, easy to use.

  1. I am a new mum and found these perfect for using every day at the end of the lochia stage and waiting for my first period to arrive, which when it did, it arrived in full force but the liner didn't leak so definitely recommend. Plus after wearing horrible thick maternity pads and 'heavy flow' normal ones for a few weeks these are like wearing nothing at all.

  1. Yes I will definitely use again.

  1. Havent yet used voucher, probably wont.

non-tester: little things that help me feel confident through the day are - when the sun is shining! When I manage to keep calm when things go wrong, or when the kids misbehave, coming up with lists and plans to stay organised, finding a tiny bit of me-time in the day.

The little thing that helps start my day right and puts me in a good frame of mind is having 15 minutes to myself in the morning. 15 minutes where I am not doing chores, getting a little person ready, or getting myself ready. Just 15 minutes to do whatever I want.

I use panty liners daily and they do make me feel more comfortable and confident.
Other things are: having presentable hair. Bad hair can dent my confidence hugely. Effective anti perspirant. Being sweaty, or smelly in any way isn't conducive to feeling comfortable in myself or around others.

  1. What was your overall impression of Always Dailies Pantyliners? They're tiny! Very small and thin so very discreet

  1. When using Always Dailies Pantyliners, did you feel any fresher or more comfortable and confident throughout the day? If so, why? If not, why not?

I had a baby 7 weeks ago and so have used maternity pads recently which felt bulky but secure. It may just be because I'd been used to those but when I first saw these I thought they were maybe a little bit too small and I didn't feel safe or confident at first. They were ok though, stayed in place well and once I was used to the size of them, I did feel more confident. They were very comfortable, you couldn't tell they were there!

  1. Did you feel they were easy and simple to use as part of an everyday routine? Very!

  1. If you are pregnant, would you recommend them to a pregnant or new mum whose body is going through a similar experience? If so, why? If not, why not?

I am a new mum and would recommend these to other new mums/pregnant women as a "just in case" item. Probably introduce them during pregnancy so women have them ready for after everything has settled down after the birth.

  1. How likely or unlikely are you to use them again?

I may do, not sure how long for though.

  1. What did you / will you buy with your Figleaves voucher?

I haven't used it yet (Like most previous posters!) Is there an expiry date on these? I am still losing baby weight and changing shape so would love to buy myself some swimwear/lingerie for once I've lost a bit more. Will probably use it for swimwear as I have no idea what bra size I'd be once I've settled down weight-wise!
