This thread is for the 150 Mumsnetters who have been trying Always Dailies Flexible Liners.

Non testers: Add your thoughts on the small things that make a positive difference to your day for a chance to win £100.

Always say "All women, whether they're pregnant or not, have some vaginal discharge – but during pregnancy and at other times of the month or at certain times in our lives, the amount of discharge often increases. This is perfectly normal and healthy and shows that your body is working correctly.

Always Dailies Pantyliners help to cope with the additional discharge – by locking away the moisture all day. These ultra-thin, breathable pantyliners absorb any moisture, and can be replaced whenever you want a boost of freshness and added comfort."

Non-testers: Share on this thread what, on an average day, are the small things that help boost your confidence, such as the use of a pantyliner, which keeps you feeling fresh and dry throughout the day. Everyone who shares their thoughts will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win £100 of Love2Shop vouchers.

Testers: Thank you to all of you who are taking part. Below are a few questions for you to answer but please feel free to add any other comments you have too.

  1. What was your overall impression of Always Dailies Pantyliners?

  1. When using Always Dailies Pantyliners, did you feel any fresher or more comfortable and confident throughout the day? If so, why? If not, why not?

  1. Did you feel they were easy and simple to use as part of an everyday routine?

  1. If you are pregnant, would you recommend them to a pregnant or new mum whose body is going through a similar experience? If so, why? If not, why not?

  1. How likely or unlikely are you to use them again?

  1. What did you / will you buy with your Figleaves voucher?

Every tester who adds their feedback to this thread will be entered into a prize draw where one MN tester will win a £200 Love2Shop voucher.

Thanks and good luck,

  1. What was your overall impression of Always Dailies Pantyliners?

  • Thin - much pleased with the size, saved me from those "Drop-in" days! I like the way it was not perfumed. Something friendly to my sensitive skin.

  1. When using Always Dailies Pantyliners, did you feel any fresher or more comfortable and confident throughout the day? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, Except few times, it didn't slip off the place and stayed well. I wear Panty liners most days due to the coil and this was much comfortable than my usual ones.

  1. Did you feel they were easy and simple to use as part of an everyday routine?

Yes, Much Easy and very comfortable.

  1. If you are pregnant, would you recommend them to a pregnant or new mum whose body is going through a similar experience? If so, why? If not, why not?

I am not pregnant but I have used panty liners after the delivery and still using. Would highly recommend.

  1. How likely or unlikely are you to use them again?

Very Likely. Honestly, I might stock up when there is an offer. ;)

  1. What did you / will you buy with your Figleaves voucher?

Haven't received a voucher! Was there one? !! I love the swimsuits from Figleaves, Fit my Pregnancy and new mum body very well. :)

  1. What was your overall impression of Always Dailies Pantyliners?

Good- would have slightly preferred individually wrapped for storing in desk drawers etc but the product itself was great. Was delighted they weren't scented :)

  1. When using Always Dailies Pantyliners, did you feel any fresher or more comfortable and confident throughout the day? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, definitely. Post ovulation, I experience quite heavy discharge (wow- TMI!), but these seemed to deal with that no problem!

  1. Did you feel they were easy and simple to use as part of an everyday routine?

Yep- straight on with fresh pants post morning shower!

  1. If you are pregnant, would you recommend them to a pregnant or new mum whose body is going through a similar experience? If so, why? If not, why not?

Not currently pregnant :)

  1. How likely or unlikely are you to use them again?

Very likely- would rate these really highly vs competitors.

  1. What did you / will you buy with your Figleaves voucher?

Hopefully a nice maternity bra if TTC works ;)

Pretty good overall - was very, very pleased they are not perfumed, as perfumed sanitary items just cause thrush!

  1. When using Always Dailies Pantyliners, did you feel any fresher or more comfortable and confident throughout the day? If so, why? If not, why not?

Pleased that my pants did not get wet through, or that I could remove the liner and still have clean knickers!

Non-tester I always wear a pantyliner everyday, it certainly gives me confidence everyday knowing that I'm always protected 'just in case'. I hate running out, I just don't have the same confident feeling.

Non-tester.

I find that planning my day especially if there's a lot to do - boosts my confidence as I feel I achieve more when I plan things. Given that my DH is away a lot more for work - I need to ensure I'm being as productive as possible.

I already used Always Dailies - I tend to get one of the larger sizes but they're great to use; I like the lightly scented ones, they don't bunch up like some other brands I've tried & they're discreet enough not to be felt as I go about my day.

Fresh flowers to look at- only ever buy whatever costs £2'

A 10-15 minutes in the garden, raking leaves, light weeding- leaves me calmer.

Cooking a new recipe, as I rely on old favourites far too much.

Sitting at the table to eat- without smart phones joining us.

A cold beer in the garden.

Tester. 1. Overall impression was good. Not too thick and a good shape

  1. Felt slightly fresher - was able to change the liner rather than my underwear 3. Yes 4. I would recommend them to friends who asked me for advice, however the subject of 'needing them ' when pregnant is not something that I was aware of before being pregnant because it isn't a common topic of conversation 5. I would use them again! 6. I didn't have a voucher included with them but if I did I would probably buy a nursing bra when I have given both

  1. They are easy to use, stay in place, and absorb well.
  2. Yes, much fresher. Felt more assured I wouldn't suffer with dampness or odours.
  3. Very easy to apply, stayed in place very well.
  4. I felt the smaller size would be more suited to non-pregnant women simply due to the amount of extra discharge during pregnancy. The larger sizes would probably be sufficient during pregnancy though.
  5. Very likely, I am still using them now most days.
  6. I haven't used it yet but plan on looking online soon.

non-tester here...

Little things that brighten my day include:
DS1 slipping his hand in mine as we walk back to the car after picking him up from school despite the fact that he's now 8 and protests that he's too old for hugs and kisses at least in public!
DS2 rushing up to me to give me a great big hug and kiss, telling me that he loves me 'all of the time I am awake and all of the time I am asleep too' and then rushing off to carry on with whatever he was busy doing
Having MN on my phone for a sneaky catch up during the day - wonderful escape from reality!
Having my toenails painted in a jolly colour - keep it topped up just before going into the shower means that I don't have to waste time waiting for my nails to dry. And seeing jolly nails poking out when I pull my socks off at the end of the day just makes me smile!

Posting to say to Always:

  • please stop making scented pantyliners, they are vile and unnecessary and probably cause thrush! or at least make the unscented ones more available, they seem to be becoming a minority
  • please bring back black pantyliners to wear in black underpants

Thanks :)

  1. What was your overall impression of Always Dailies Pantyliners?

(A) A good quality, well priced, thin discreet, pretty panty liner.

  1. When using Always Dailies Pantyliners, did you feel any fresher or more comfortable and confident throughout the day? If so, why? If not, why not?

(A) They were very comfortable, but I wanted a fragrance, fragrance free is sadly not an option for me. I felt as the day went on these shrunk, and were not suitable for a woman who has had 3 children and sadly (at the time ) laughed off the idea of having to do pv floor exercises as being not necessary :-( however they did remain firmly in place even when they were at the end of their use. To feel totally comfortable. i would have joined 2 or more together. "BUT" ... for my DD aged 11 who is just staring on her road of becoming a woman they are "perfect" ... easy to conceal in her school bag , a strong adhesive quality to prevent any embarrassing mishaps etc ..

  1. Did you feel they were easy and simple to use as part of an everyday routine?

(A) I have always used Always long plus or large fresh on a daily basis, and when wearing cotton knickers these were perfect, BUT i recently bought new underwear that has a high lycra content ... and they "do not stick" ... you could be walking and they just fall off, and drop down your leg .... extremely embarassing believe me, this has happened several times ... :-( but this never happened with these ones , they remained well secured, even after a day of sneezing ... if you get my drift...

  1. If you are pregnant, would you recommend them to a pregnant or new mum whose body is going through a similar experience? If so, why? If not, why not?

(A) I would recommend them to a pregnant woman who has not had any children, or maybe to women who were smart enough to do their pv floor exercises ... but for women who have had children I would not recommend them as they are not absorbent enough. I would also buy and recommend them for pre teens, teenagers and the younger woman.

  1. How likely or unlikely are you to use them again?

(A) I personally wouldn't use them due to the no fragrance and light absorbency . BUT will continue buying them for my DD , she loved them.

  1. What did you / will you buy with your Figleaves voucher?

(A) I didn't buy anything with my Fig leaves voucher as I didn't receive one :-(

Thank you for choosing me to test these for you, both myself and my DD tried them, and for her the are perfect, and she goes to school totally confident now that she won't have an embarrassing mishap. and that means the world to me and her, so thank you Mumsnet and Procter and Gamble UK for reassuring her on this new road that she is starting.

  1. What was your overall impression of Always Dailies Pantyliners?

Firstly I was struck by how thin they were. But still a generous size. Which gave me confidence. As before I had been using a supermarket own brand which were far too small and didn't absorb anything.

  1. When using Always Dailies Pantyliners, did you feel any fresher or more comfortable and confident throughout the day? If so, why? If not, why not?

There is nothing worse than increased discharge while pregnant. Always gave me the confidence, freshness and discreetness that I was looking for.

  1. Did you feel they were easy and simple to use as part of an everyday routine?

They were so easy to use and to keep spares in my bag. They stayed firmly attached to my underwear.

  1. If you are pregnant, would you recommend them to a pregnant or new mum whose body is going through a similar experience? If so, why? If not, why not?

After experiencing increased discharge, firstly I consulted my midwife as I didn't realise this could be a pregnancy related problem and also seeing how many women on mumsnet were also had the same problem. So I would definitely recommend them for peace of mind and daily freshness

  1. How likely or unlikely are you to use them again?

voucher?

I haven't used it yet.

The thing that boosts my confidence throughout the day is carrying spare sanitary protection in my handbag for myself and my daughter. Nothing worse than being away from home, all the local shops shut, and the public convenience wall machine being out of use!

  1. What was your overall impression of Always Dailies Pantyliners?

My overall impression of always dailies pantyliners is that they were discreet and comfortable to wear

  1. When using Always Dailies Pantyliners, did you feel any fresher or more comfortable and confident throughout the day? If so, why? If not, why not

Yes I felt more comfortably because some pantieliners can make you itch and sore as well as you notice they are there where as always dailys i forgot I was wearing one

  1. Did you feel they were easy and simple to use as part of an everyday routine?

No problem very easy to use

  1. If you are pregnant, would you recommend them to a pregnant or new mum whose body is going through a similar experience? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I would recommend them to a pregnant woman as these are the most comfy pantie liners I have tried and when you are pregnant being comfy is very impotant

  1. How likely or unlikely are you to use them again?

I would use these again as and when needed as I said these have been very comfortable compared to other brands

Always putting a bit of make up on and my contact lenses in makes me feel better. Also, getting to drink a whole cup of piping hot tea before baby wakes up is a rare treat!

I always wear panty liners as they give me much more confidence. Some days I have an increased discharge other days I don't. But wearing a panty liner daily means I always feel fresh & clean.
