Rocky Pebbley Road and Butterfly Cakes.
The DSs have much enjoyed being creative with their cakes - there is a hedgehog, some flowers, a football and goal and a 'I dunno'- will leave you to see if you can spot which is which! Thank you for the Pebbles they were very yummy.

DS1 is slightly disappointed having seen the photos on here as he knows that we won't win anything (am very impressed with the talent!)... The consolation is that the Pebbles were very tasty and they had fun making gingerbread pebbles and top hat pebbles :)

Here's our fish in the sea. A shop bought cake I'm afraid [lazy/rubbish at baking emoticon], made buttercream with a little blue food colouring. The sparkly bits are 'neon sugar' Hmm for sand/seaweed, and some strawberry laces for, erm, some form of aquatic plant.

Had actually already tried pebbles (am a total sucker for any new chocolate!) and I LOVE them, they are miles nicer than Mini Eggs IMO, and DH is chuffed they are gluten free when a lot of Cadbury's isn't. He ate the rest that we didn't use (as obviously he can't eat the cake) dipped in the leftover buttercream. No matter, he's already bought me another pack Blush

Done by a two and three year old (icing and pebbles). I would like to say that my efforts alone would be so much better but I am not so sure!

They look rather lame but taste delicious, homemade marshmallow cakes with chocolate pebble topping as done by 16mo DS.

Thank you for the pebbles. We had great fun doing this yesterday evening. We can't really compare to some of the fabulous creations posted here (you talented lot!) but we had a go. We attempted making cupcakes with blue butter icing, pebbles around the edges and a fish in the middle, plus a few more messy creations. The kitchen looked like a bombsite afterwards. DCs went to bed and I had to clear up! Nevertheless it was so much fun and DCs had a fab time making and eating them! Thank you!

Pebbles finally arrived on Monday, just in time for DS and I to simply decorate my cherry and chocolate birthday cake (which was itself an experiment in getting the recipe right before I do his cake next month!). I took the cake to work but had to promise DS that a (big) slice would come back for him! It doesn't hurt that my favourite colour is purple and DS's is yellow! Grin

Many thanks for sending us a Pebbles packet!

First ever attempt at sculpting cake we agreed on a hedgehog. Not enough brown pebbles for all his spines so added a bit of colour with the yellow and purple eyes.

One thing I noticed was that a fair few had very chipped shells so couldn't be used as decoration.

When my idea was to decorate an oblong cake to make a wall and then sit a chocolate egg on it to make a Humpty Dumpty cake but DS said that was silly, so I baked a cake, covered it in buttercream and left him to it.......and now we are all enjoying it! Thank you for the pebbles, we love them.

After we made our little cakes the kids wanted to a Halloween one, so we used the rest of the pebbles. Kids enjoyed using things we had in the house for this, and eating lots as we went. From windows to marshmallow ghosts and pebble path, this is practically their own creation. They are four and six (I iced and did writing)
