F&F has asked us to find 100 MNers to test out their F&F schoolwear range with their DC and provide feedback.

Here's what F&F say about their range, "At F&F we're really proud of the value and quality of our products and have spent the last year really improving our schoolwear range. Our schoolwear offering, which is available online all year round, is designed to last. With features including Teflon® fabric protector across skirts, trousers and pinafores, we believe that we've made it easier to get those stains out. Also, we've included adjustable waistbands to ensure a more comfortable fit for your children that will also help the items last that little bit longer as they grow. Finally, we've helped reduce the ironing with our permanent pleats in skirts. We'd love to see what Mumsnetters think about our F&F schoolwear range and we want to know if you agree with the outstanding quality too!"

We're looking for UK Mumsnetters, who have at least one child of school age who wears school uniform, to put the range to the test before the new term starts. If you are selected, you will be sent £100 worth of Tesco online vouchers*. We'd like you to use some of this to buy items from the F&F back to school range and the rest is a gift for you from F&F to treat yourself to some new items for the school run!

Delivery charges aren't included in the e-coupons, however there is the option to 'Click and Collect' which delivers your order to your nearby Tesco, free of charge, by the next day if you place your order by 3pm. We are aware that the summer holidays are fast approaching so we're looking for Mumsnetters who are available to carry out this product test as soon as possible.

Once you have had a chance to purchase a few items and kit your DCs out in a new uniform we'll ask you to get your LOs to put it through its paces and for you to give it a couple of washes before adding your feedback to a thread on MN.

If you're interested in taking part, please sign up here.

Thanks and good luck,

Michelle @ MNHQ

NB: You will receive x4 £25 vouchers, for each voucher you will need to spend the full value, or more.

On my way to collect my order.

Only spent half so far as wasn't sure of sizes.

Got 4 pairs of shorts for DS, 4 pairs of trousers, 2 pinafores, 2 dresses and 4 pairs of cycling shorts for DD under pinafores.

Off to coollect and try them on tonight.

Woohoo!

PS I have been here ages and this is my first big win/selection for testing.

trikken · 10/07/2013 17:44

Our local one knows us so have sent dh to get it. U didnt get a msg to say it has arrived but guessed it had and it did as dh has txt me to say he's got it. Wont be able to see the stuff til half ten as dh is working now.

trikken · 10/07/2013 17:45

I* not u! Keep doing that!

imawigglyworm · 10/07/2013 18:09

ahhh, part of my order was cancelled too due to lack of stock, shame as DS1 needed some shorts. Apart from that ive had no problems with ordering .... all depending on how much of it actually turns up

MimsyBorogroves · 10/07/2013 18:24

Part of my order has been cancelled too.

I've found the ordering system a bit of a nightmare - bag not updating, then it has, then things going out of stock whilst I'm ordering. The site has been running really slowly too. I didn't have these problems when I started Iooking yesterday, so I wonder if it's buckling under 100 of us ordering at once - but that doesn't bode well for the end of August rush!

vincenta · 10/07/2013 20:34

Ordered yesterday for collection today.received message that my order arrived to store. Unfortunately when my husband after work tried to collect my order.Stuff told that my order didn't arrived today. We can try to collect it tomorrow...I spend half of amount because wasn't sure about sizes.

UniS · 10/07/2013 22:12

I have been unable to order anything as the "add to bag" function is not working on their website.

androbbob · 10/07/2013 22:37

Thanks for picking me!!

I spend a good half hour selecting clothing for my DS yesterday and then had a look for DD who is off to high school. Limited availability for her - blue shirts with short sleeves for older girls please Tesco.

I even managed two sun tops for me as well. Still got £25 left and will wait and see if can get either shirts for DD or shoes for DS with them.

Collecting them tomorrow and DS will be wearing them on Friday.

UniS · 10/07/2013 22:43

Problem seemed to go away when I logged out and tried again , this time I "filled a bag" BEFORE logging in.

You do need to exceed the 25 quid don't you, It would not let me pay for a 24.50 order with a voucher code.

LuisSuarezTeeth · 11/07/2013 06:38

I had same problem uniS and not been able to order yet.

InMySpareTime · 11/07/2013 13:15

My stuff has arrived! I got it delivered because it was over £50 and I'm a slattern who can't be bothered to carry it back from the shop
I'm just waiting for the DCs to get back from school to try it on. I got (among other things) socks, which I feel I can adequately test in a couple of weeks.
Sweat? -check
Dirt? -check
Stretch elastic? -check
Rubbing toe area on shoes? -check
All these things can be thoroughly tested even in a few weeksGrinz

dontmeanto · 11/07/2013 13:21

Mine is testing his out today!

trikken · 11/07/2013 13:45

Yup mine is wearing it today. Shall see what it looks like in just over an hour.

LuisSuarezTeeth · 11/07/2013 18:48

After much wrangling effing and jeffing, and frustration, have finally ordered! Don't know if its the site or me but the stuff just would NOT add to the bag!

trikken · 11/07/2013 20:23

I had a problem on my tablet but switched to my laptop and it seemed to work ok.

MyNameIsInigoMontoya · 11/07/2013 21:17

Picked up my first lot this evening, so we'll start trying it tomorrow! I also ordered some things from the uniform embroidery service though, which will take longer to arrive - not sure whether they'll be in time to review, but we have plenty of trousers, shorts, PE stuff etc to try out starting tomorrow.

notso · 11/07/2013 22:41

Picked mine up and had a look.
DS1 will be testing his PE shorts tomorrow for sports day but I know by looking the trousers won't fit DD, they looked slim on the picture but they are massive in real life.
There doesn't seem to be an exchange option on the delivery note either just a refund for 3p
Are we not allowed to exchange MNHQ?

UniS · 11/07/2013 22:43

I phoned Tesco/ F&F order help line and a very helpful chap sorted out replacement trousers for all the ones that were cancelled from my order due to stock cock ups. Helpful chap agreed that it is hard for a 7 yr old boy to road test a uniform if all you have is shirts.

500internalerror · 11/07/2013 22:50

Picked up my order today! (btw, I've been here since 2004 under various names, so def not just popping up to cash in...).

Got it to £100.25 - it was 99.50, so I ordered the cheapest most useful thing I could find to validate the final code (a 75p polo top!).

No probs with website, no probs collecting, & order all there. The jumpers do seem to come up very big though! And 8-9 trousers will fit at about age 11!

MonsterBookOfTyRexs · 11/07/2013 22:52

Picked mine up in a giant bag.
I was at first disappointed to see they had sent different trousers, I had ordered the £5 pack of two grey trousers without the pleat, I got the £6 pack of two with the pleat. No big problem except they have a zip and metal clip thingy which ds at 4 could find tricky.
Tried them on though and he looks great, the quality seems amazing and I think he will manage now he is 5.
White polo shirts already look better than another shop and I bought the lightweight jacket, it is bloody lovely!

notso · 11/07/2013 23:01

That is good to know UniS will give them a ring tomorrow then.

Was that the grey and black lightweight jacket Monster? was debating that for DS1.

I have to say DS1s trousers and school shorts on opening look good quality as do the buy one donate one polo shirts.
I shall see what DS thinks Grin

500internalerror · 11/07/2013 23:02

I wish they'd had school coats Sad - we wouldn't be allowed that twotone one.

MonsterBookOfTyRexs · 11/07/2013 23:12

notso yes it was, it is great, I want one :o
Looks nicer on ds than on the website too.
We are allowed anything but can buy a logo one at a very high price if we wish, which I obviously don't :o

MrsRochestersCat · 11/07/2013 23:22

If you haven't yet ordered:

I might recommend going a size down (for girls). Eg DD2 (11) is very well developed, and quite bulky, but still slender - the all the dresses have at least a foot of spare material in width. The skirts I chose have elasticated waists so this problem is easily fixed - the size down would be too short. The summer dress has a belt, so can be cinched in.

DD1's only skirt was canceled, replacement on its way. I am hoping the sizing is better for her age (14).

Titsalinabumsquash · 12/07/2013 07:35

Helm mumsnet, I ordered all mine and got an email to say that the order was cancelled and the stuff was no longer available. They haven't charged me but also haven't reissued the vouchers. :(
