F&F has asked us to find 100 MNers to test out their F&F schoolwear range with their DC and provide feedback.

Here's what F&F say about their range, "At F&F we're really proud of the value and quality of our products and have spent the last year really improving our schoolwear range. Our schoolwear offering, which is available online all year round, is designed to last. With features including Teflon® fabric protector across skirts, trousers and pinafores, we believe that we've made it easier to get those stains out. Also, we've included adjustable waistbands to ensure a more comfortable fit for your children that will also help the items last that little bit longer as they grow. Finally, we've helped reduce the ironing with our permanent pleats in skirts. We'd love to see what Mumsnetters think about our F&F schoolwear range and we want to know if you agree with the outstanding quality too!"

We're looking for UK Mumsnetters, who have at least one child of school age who wears school uniform, to put the range to the test before the new term starts. If you are selected, you will be sent £100 worth of Tesco online vouchers*. We'd like you to use some of this to buy items from the F&F back to school range and the rest is a gift for you from F&F to treat yourself to some new items for the school run!

Delivery charges aren't included in the e-coupons, however there is the option to 'Click and Collect' which delivers your order to your nearby Tesco, free of charge, by the next day if you place your order by 3pm. We are aware that the summer holidays are fast approaching so we're looking for Mumsnetters who are available to carry out this product test as soon as possible.

Once you have had a chance to purchase a few items and kit your DCs out in a new uniform we'll ask you to get your LOs to put it through its paces and for you to give it a couple of washes before adding your feedback to a thread on MN.

If you're interested in taking part, please sign up here.

Thanks and good luck,

Michelle @ MNHQ

NB: You will receive x4 £25 vouchers, for each voucher you will need to spend the full value, or more.

I've just entered. DD (Nearly 8) has had a big growth spurt recently and her summer uniform is far too small. I was holding out on buying new uniform as we're only 2.5 weeks away from the summer holidays, but these vouchers would be great! Especially as money is tight at the moment.

I've signed up, I usually automatically head for M&S where the uniform is generally good quality but this year I intend to try out cheaper shops to save a bit, I'm hoping that won't be a false economy!

I am wondering how I'm meant to put the uniform through its' paces properly with only 2 weeks to go though Confused

I've signed up but I'm also a bit Hmm about the timing of this. DS is pretty hard on his uniform but even so there's a limit to how much damage can be inflicted, and washing done, in a 2 week period.
Still, worth a try for free school uniform!

Oh I've just read the posts, we're already on holidays here so I don't qualify.

Signed up. Happy to wash it a bit more frequently and encourage a bit of tree climbing in uniform to put it through its paces.

I signed up as I mis-read the OP and thought you were looking for testers to test at the start of next term. We're already on summer holidays here so I assume that rules me out. But even if we had another few weeks, how is anyone meant to test the uniform in such a short space of time? I'm a bit suspicious of this particular product test...

Just seen they now have a burgendy range in the jumopers!! It has been so hard to find this colour locally, none of our supermarkets stocked it!

Oooh easy iron shirts as well and they do fair trade cotton polos etc. God these vouchers would be fab... Looks at grotty white grey looking polo shirts...

When will testers be told they have been chosen? I wonder how many mnetters will have an online basket full ready waiting to be picked? Grin

Just realised it is for right now. What a bizarre test. I realise that they need to say how good their uniform is before people start stocking up for next term, but leaving it till the last two weeks of term?? So, realistically, it's not exactly going to get a good test is it? by the time people are chosen (up to a week), notified, recieved their vouchers, have ordered and waited for the delivery, term will be pretty much over.

How odd Hmm

LackaDAISYcal · 05/07/2013 22:04

I agree treaclesoda; perhaps looking to have as shrt a testing period as possible, so that the flaws/problems/ishoos don't show up but they can say "ooooh, 100 MNers loved it"

Can you clarify MN?

Also dd is in a summer dress, and will be now until the end of term - if I'm going to buy uniform I'm going to buy for September. I'm not going to put her in pinafores in 26 degrees just to carry out a product test Hmm

Done Smile Not that I've ever been picked before but worth a shot as this would be a godsend

We have three more weeks to the end of term. That's plenty of time for a school polo shirt to come apart at the seams or for DC to complain about uncomfortable labels/collars.

I agree that it isn't a great test period but it isn't completely unrealistic.

Also, have you seen the prices? Nearly everything is £3 an item or less. Seriously, even if I get DS1 a full drawer of polo shirts, trousers, shorts and jumpers I'm still going to be within the first voucher. I might actually get the chance to buy some things for myself and since my favourite sandals ever were F&F (now having unaccountably vanished off the face of the planet) that makes me extremely excited.

Signed up as DD is like Theo Paphites with school uniform - tests everything to breaking point climbing trees, skidding along grass etc. Sorry won't mean much if you don't watch Dragon's Den.

We have two and a half weeks till end of term, break up on the 24th. It is odd but my boys have grown out of their trousers, I have been ending ds2 in in his as I refuse to get new trousers when he starts t high school in sept! But he needs some, all four boys do tbh, I normally go to m&s but would like to see if tesco can offer good value and good quality, esp with four boys if stuff is good and I can hand it down I will be pleased!

Now if tesco could kindly invent a white polo shirt/school short that STAYS white, doesn't grt stained or go a grotty grey colour they would be guaranteed my custom!
