F&F has asked us to find 100 MNers to test out their F&F schoolwear range with their DC and provide feedback.

Here's what F&F say about their range, "At F&F we're really proud of the value and quality of our products and have spent the last year really improving our schoolwear range. Our schoolwear offering, which is available online all year round, is designed to last. With features including Teflon® fabric protector across skirts, trousers and pinafores, we believe that we've made it easier to get those stains out. Also, we've included adjustable waistbands to ensure a more comfortable fit for your children that will also help the items last that little bit longer as they grow. Finally, we've helped reduce the ironing with our permanent pleats in skirts. We'd love to see what Mumsnetters think about our F&F schoolwear range and we want to know if you agree with the outstanding quality too!"

We're looking for UK Mumsnetters, who have at least one child of school age who wears school uniform, to put the range to the test before the new term starts. If you are selected, you will be sent £100 worth of Tesco online vouchers*. We'd like you to use some of this to buy items from the F&F back to school range and the rest is a gift for you from F&F to treat yourself to some new items for the school run!

Delivery charges aren't included in the e-coupons, however there is the option to 'Click and Collect' which delivers your order to your nearby Tesco, free of charge, by the next day if you place your order by 3pm. We are aware that the summer holidays are fast approaching so we're looking for Mumsnetters who are available to carry out this product test as soon as possible.

Once you have had a chance to purchase a few items and kit your DCs out in a new uniform we'll ask you to get your LOs to put it through its paces and for you to give it a couple of washes before adding your feedback to a thread on MN.

If you're interested in taking part, please sign up here.

Thanks and good luck,

Michelle @ MNHQ

NB: You will receive x4 £25 vouchers, for each voucher you will need to spend the full value, or more.

It's a shame MNHQ can't find a way to tighten up the selection process, but I've no idea how they would do it. Minimum time as a member for some tests maybe? I bet they get quite a few not bothering with feedback once they've bagged their 'prize'.

MisForMumNotMaid · 09/07/2013 21:44

Thank you Mumsnet and Tesco. This couldn't have come at a better time. We're in the process of moving schools with taster days next week so the new uniform colours come in very handy to have now.

I'm guessing they're unlikely to get kicked out of their current school so will be going in in the wrong colour trousers and new shoes for their last week.

£75 spent on 2 sets of new trousers, polos, shoes and socks. Missed the 3pm deadline so will be collecting Thursday. Will get at least three washes though before full feedback is required.

Would Tesco like feedback on the website and ordering process because I generally have opinion on most things and I have a few, hopefully constructive, comments to make?

Will you link here to the feedback thread?

I'm really grateful. I managed to get 6 polo shirts for DD1, 9 skirts (3 for each girl), 6 pinafores (2 for each girl), 2 dresses for DD2, a pair of jogging bottoms each for DDs 2&3, a zip through hoodie each to match, and 3 vests for each of the girls. Total £104.50, so just £4.50 to pay and free delivery.

MonsterBookOfTyRexs · 09/07/2013 21:57

Ive been picked :)
Feel I should point out Ive been a mner for 4 years Wink
Ive bought 8 polo shirts, two pairs of shoes, 10 pairs of trousers, 6 pairs of shorts, 14 pairs of socks, a lightweight jacket from the school uniform section.
Looking forward to this test :)

HeySoulSister · 09/07/2013 22:06

Only just discovered I was picked...... Hope everyone checked in their spam folders! Grin had no idea!!

Spent £100 exactly

HenriettaPye · 09/07/2013 22:10

Just wanted to say thank you again, spent £50 and managed to completely kit out DS1- socks, pants, vests, polo t shirts, trousers, shorts! The other £50 will be spent on a coat and shoes, once they get his size in stock.

I am so grateful, this has come at a fantastic time for us! Smile

dontmeanto · 09/07/2013 22:24

Only spent half so far and have got: 10 polos, 3 jumpers, 4 trousers, 2 shorts, 13 prs. pants! Feel like a kid at Christmas (on my dcs' behalf)!

MrsRochestersCat · 09/07/2013 22:48

Thank you Mumsnet and Tesco! You have made my day! Grin

I have just put an order through - missed the 3pm deadline, but chose next day delivery (to arrive Thursday) so should have time to get a few washes done in time.

In the spirit of things I chose a bit of everything, from underwear through to blazer and a bit of PE kit for DD2.

However, there was nothing in the school uniform section that DD1 (14) would wear - is it bad form to have chosen a more fashionably cut blazer from the workwear section for her (to wear as a smart school jacket)? I'm happy to swap it if so.

Thank you!

shaztwins1 · 09/07/2013 22:50

thanks mumsnet & tesco Thanks (though it is nice to get something back from them as i spend a fortune in there !!!!! ) have ordered stuff for all 3 dc plus few summer bits for dd spent all vouchers & lookin forward to picking it all up

MrsRochestersCat · 09/07/2013 22:54

Oh. Just read through some of the thread - perhaps I should point out, I have been on MN since 2007, under various names.

trikken · 09/07/2013 23:05

Ive been on here since 2009. It's just luck of the draw.

SylviaDaisyPouncer · 10/07/2013 00:09

Well I spent £100 but it wouldn't let me click and collect (I do live in the ass end of nowhere though).

However, I have got it being delivered for free so it's all good. Smile

SandWitch · 10/07/2013 00:23

Thank you MN and Tesco.

Having never bought school uniform from Tesco before, I'll be interested to see how it fares with M&S and school uniform shop.

I usually buy when on special offer at M&S - was surprised at how cheap the uniform in Tesco is - hoping the quality is ok. We still have two weeks of school left, so should be able to get a few washes in.

Sorry to all of you not picked. I remember being devestated when we weren't picked for the XBox test. It felt so bloody unfair!

Promise, I am a longstanding MNer.

TimrousBeastie · 10/07/2013 00:31

thank you MN and tesco- managed to get both dd and ds completely kitted out for school minus the school logo jumpers and fleeces:)

Sokmonsta · 10/07/2013 07:21

Thank you mn and Tesco. I've managed to kit ds out for preschool as well as dd for school. Will be interesting to see how they fare given ds has gone through at least one change of clothes every session. New preschool teacher has had them doing silly soup and massive mark making. Lots of mud and paint!

ImNotCute · 10/07/2013 08:07

Thanks very much for my vouchers!

I've been around for years- mostly lurking, occasionally posting. The only thing I've won in a product test before was some Ecover wipes.

I had a very enjoyable evening choosing what to buy. The timing of the test so close to end of term with a short time to complete isn't great, but I'll do my best!

prakattack · 10/07/2013 09:20

Thank you again, I did my first order last night. Spent half and got trousers to test out this term and for next year, shorts for this term (and September if by any chance it's sunny!), polo shirts for new school, socks and a cheeky top for myself to round it up to £50. For collection on Thursday, and he doesn't break up till the 24th so plenty of time to test, wash and test again.
Found the ordering process horrendous, I'll have to admit... was browsing while watching TV and kept finding that it had emptied my basket so I had to start all over again!! It was only over the course of half an hour or so and I was still adding things so it wasn't even inactive... very annoying! If I hadn't had the vouchers, i think I'd have given up to be honest.
Once I've washed the uniform and checked the fit etc, I'll be back on to buy more and also get a winter coat and shoes for him with the remaining vouchers.

spongebunnyfatpants · 10/07/2013 09:34

Thank you mumsnet and tesco, my order should be in store by this afternoon.

The boys can't wait to wear their school shorts instead of their trousers.

Managed to kit them both out with everything, including bags and still have some spare to go towards winter coats.

JambalayaCodfishPie · 10/07/2013 09:55

Good Morning MNHQ!

Tesco have cancelled part of my order today due to lack of stock. As the codes can only be used once and I used all of them on my £100 order, do you know if we can get a credit to try other items?

Yes, I'm being that cheeky. Grin

Thanks!

JambalayaCodfishPie · 10/07/2013 09:57

PS - I agree with Prak - online ordering was horrendous - will we be able to comment on this as part of the feedback?

HolidayArmadillo · 10/07/2013 13:13

I had to make an order up by £2.50 to find I couldn't pay with my card despite it being a visa debit they kept saying electron was not accepted. I used a friends card who was staying the night and now the order confirmation has come through saying I'll need my confirmation number and the payment card to collect. Friend has now gone home so will see if I have any problems. Will not be happy if so as it wouldn't let me under order by 50p so had to add something small but had no other way of paying due to their antiquated systems.

dontmeanto · 10/07/2013 13:14

Just got call from local Tesco, my parcel has arrived to collect. Very impressed with the speed of delivery (though I know that's not what we're testing!)...will be putting new uniform to test tomorrow.

dontmeanto · 10/07/2013 13:17

Holiday mine says just take order confirmation number and photo ID. To match your name on the order hopefully? Hope you don't have any problems.

HolidayArmadillo · 10/07/2013 13:20

That is what it said on the email but they have just texted to say the order is in store and that is what says the card will be required. Will update when I go to collect.

notso · 10/07/2013 15:52

I've done collect from store quite a lot and usually the assistants are very helpful even if you don't have all the right bits, until recently I had no photo ID. Hopefully this is Tesco-wide rather than just my local one Smile
