We've been asked by Dyson to find 15 MNers who are willing and able to try out the new Dyson Digital Slim - DC44.

Dyson say "The Dyson Digital Slim(tm) is one of Dyson's newest inventions and is a lightweight cordless vacuum cleaner, engineered for nimble, high performance spot cleaning. From cobwebs in corners to quick skirting boards and stairs, it is balanced for floor to ceiling cordless cleaning.

Dyson's DC44 is also perfect for quick clean ups - so you'll be ready for any surprise visitors this festive period"

More info here

We're looking for MNers to try this who:
~ are around between now and Christmas eve to receive the product (and ideally have a house-full of guests)
~ are at home over Christmas break to try it out (it's ideal for whizzing round under the tree)
~ willing to add feedback - at least twice - to a thread on Mumsnet over the festive season - we'll be looking for you to add your responses to some questions and also to add further thoughts
~ willing to add a review here
~ are in the UK

Dyson would also like to set MNers some challenges with their DC44 - these will be sent to the selected testers and you'll be asked to add your feedback on how you got on with the challenges.

We're also looking for the testers to send in some video footage of the DC44 being used around the home - and completing the challenges. If you're happy to make a film for Dyson please tick the box on the application form. If you're selected you'll be asked to film yourself, your children and any pets in your home using the DC44. This shouldn't be too onerous. You'll then need to send in your footage to MN. Please note the videos will then be edited into a montage and will feature on dyson.co.uk as well as on the Dyson YouTube channel and possibly elsewhere (eg Facebook, MN) - your name will not be used. You will be sent notes on filming.

If you'd like to take part please add your details here

Please note : if selected products will be sent out this week for delivery before Christmas - please only apply if you are around then for delivery and can also feedback. And for those not successful on becoming a tester, you will be emailed by MN details of a special Christmas treat from Dyson.

If you add feedback as required you will be able to keep the product.

Thanks MNHQ

PS if you don't get selected or aren't able to apply for this test, please keep an eye out for the feedback thread where you could win a Dyson product of your choice.

Ooooh, I would love the chance, survey done :)

This product looks fab and light for me - I have an old shoulder injury and anything lighter, easier and effective is a great boon in this household.
I have two girls under 3 in the house, a dog, guinea pigs, chinchilla, and we are on a working farm - there would be more than enough mess to give it a good test!
Have a house full of family visitors over the christmas period as usual, plenty of entertaining and cleaning!

Done, is it really sad that I'm more excited about this than I am about Christmas?

Done. We have my parents visiting and my mother always comments on my house, because of "the cats"

I need some light and nippy as no time with dcs, we love our old dyson but want a new one soon

Fingers and toes crossed for this one, DP a long time ago that when our ancient Samsung IRS we can get a Dyson. 8 years on and numerous efforts at trying to kill the Samsung have failed. I would love this!

Done. This would be so timely, the vacuum cleaner died last night and two small children in an old house are a mess making machine.

waves I had visions of the cat using it too...

I may also have cocked up on the number of people - there will be just the 6 of us Christmas Day but we are having a party on Christmas Eve...

Would adore this - we have been in the market recently and Dyson is the only brand DH will look at as they are so reliable and such good quality!

A baby starting to crawl and putting everything in her mouth is making vacuuming a daily necessity - something light quick and easy to use would be absolutely perfect!

Entered! Wish me luck :D

I'm sure it asked how many were in your household? If not I've cocked up too - normally 3 adults 2 kids, Christmas will be 9 adults 3 kids on the day itself, and between Christmas and New Year likely to be more kids round

Were you meant to put in the amount of people you will have over Christmas??? I am not sure i did....it's 15 btw...oh yes...15. All together for Christmas Eve, sleeping and opening gifts on Christmas Day. Normally only 4 of us though...so think I have buggered up the questionnaire too!
