We've been asked by Dyson to find 15 MNers who are willing and able to try out the new Dyson Digital Slim - DC44.

Dyson say "The Dyson Digital Slim(tm) is one of Dyson's newest inventions and is a lightweight cordless vacuum cleaner, engineered for nimble, high performance spot cleaning. From cobwebs in corners to quick skirting boards and stairs, it is balanced for floor to ceiling cordless cleaning.

Dyson's DC44 is also perfect for quick clean ups - so you'll be ready for any surprise visitors this festive period"

More info here

We're looking for MNers to try this who:
~ are around between now and Christmas eve to receive the product (and ideally have a house-full of guests)
~ are at home over Christmas break to try it out (it's ideal for whizzing round under the tree)
~ willing to add feedback - at least twice - to a thread on Mumsnet over the festive season - we'll be looking for you to add your responses to some questions and also to add further thoughts
~ willing to add a review here
~ are in the UK

Dyson would also like to set MNers some challenges with their DC44 - these will be sent to the selected testers and you'll be asked to add your feedback on how you got on with the challenges.

We're also looking for the testers to send in some video footage of the DC44 being used around the home - and completing the challenges. If you're happy to make a film for Dyson please tick the box on the application form. If you're selected you'll be asked to film yourself, your children and any pets in your home using the DC44. This shouldn't be too onerous. You'll then need to send in your footage to MN. Please note the videos will then be edited into a montage and will feature on dyson.co.uk as well as on the Dyson YouTube channel and possibly elsewhere (eg Facebook, MN) - your name will not be used. You will be sent notes on filming.

If you'd like to take part please add your details here

Please note : if selected products will be sent out this week for delivery before Christmas - please only apply if you are around then for delivery and can also feedback. And for those not successful on becoming a tester, you will be emailed by MN details of a special Christmas treat from Dyson.

If you add feedback as required you will be able to keep the product.

Thanks MNHQ

PS if you don't get selected or aren't able to apply for this test, please keep an eye out for the feedback thread where you could win a Dyson product of your choice.

I'm seriously considering using the 20% off in the new year as my hoover is rubbish for dog hair. Testers with black dogs and cream carpets (I can't be the only person that daft), I look forward to your feedback.

Hooray - mine has come. It has two motorised heads but there does not seem to be any indication of what I use for what - anyone know? It's great so far and I love it - it's making me much less stressed around mess knowing it will only take seconds to clear up!

You can get it on the net from a few places for around 20% less than the RRP on Dysons site and with the free tool pack too anyway so you don't need the special code. I have been looking for something like this so awaiting feedback with interest.

I added feedback last night. It is brilliant. I have used it on loads of surfaces and it is fab. It shows up how dirty my life was with the old Hoover. I hoovered the 'clean' carpet with the dyson and it filled the cylinder with dust and dirt BlushGrin

Agree its fab!

Although was a little miffed at the wall mounting unit which was supplied with no fixings Hmm, easily sorted though so no biggie.

My hand also hurt at first having to keep the trigger pressed in all the time but I think I've gotten used to it noe.

DP is also v.much impressed as it took him about 4 minutes to vacuum the stairs using it as a hand held with the brush attachment :o

Noisy - did you up load your video feedback already or did you type it up somewhere? I haven't even started challenges yet, must get a move on!!

It would be good if the instruction manual had some words in it! I've posted a review but I've not done any filming yet. I'm ill and I look really rough at the moment.

I've just typed it on the link for feedback will do the video over Christmas.

I got used to the press and hold but but I thought it was broken at first I've never had to hold down the on button before Smile still love it. So much so I have given away my beloved Henry

I like mine too. I agree about the instructions - could have more writing and what to use each attachment for.

also I would have preferred an on off button as you had to keep hand on trigger but excellent product.

have only done one part of the film. I assume you can stop and start as they will edit it anyway.

do you just do the film and post a review on mumsnet?

And post at least twice on a thread but I can't see the thread. Unless its this thread then I have posted. If its not this thread then I will post when there is a thread to post on Smile

I presume there will be a feedback thread at some point. Planning on leaving a review but might wait until after Xmas day.

Had a quick run round with it this morning and found it fab for the bedroom as it's cordless (not many sockets so it's a pita to do the far side of it from the plug on the landing). Also found the stairs much easier and loving the ball for the bathroom as it got round all the little awkward bits.

I did think there should be better info about what each attachment is.
