We've been asked by Dyson to find 15 MNers who are willing and able to try out the new Dyson Digital Slim - DC44.

Dyson say "The Dyson Digital Slim(tm) is one of Dyson's newest inventions and is a lightweight cordless vacuum cleaner, engineered for nimble, high performance spot cleaning. From cobwebs in corners to quick skirting boards and stairs, it is balanced for floor to ceiling cordless cleaning.

Dyson's DC44 is also perfect for quick clean ups - so you'll be ready for any surprise visitors this festive period"

More info here

We're looking for MNers to try this who:
~ are around between now and Christmas eve to receive the product (and ideally have a house-full of guests)
~ are at home over Christmas break to try it out (it's ideal for whizzing round under the tree)
~ willing to add feedback - at least twice - to a thread on Mumsnet over the festive season - we'll be looking for you to add your responses to some questions and also to add further thoughts
~ willing to add a review here
~ are in the UK

Dyson would also like to set MNers some challenges with their DC44 - these will be sent to the selected testers and you'll be asked to add your feedback on how you got on with the challenges.

We're also looking for the testers to send in some video footage of the DC44 being used around the home - and completing the challenges. If you're happy to make a film for Dyson please tick the box on the application form. If you're selected you'll be asked to film yourself, your children and any pets in your home using the DC44. This shouldn't be too onerous. You'll then need to send in your footage to MN. Please note the videos will then be edited into a montage and will feature on dyson.co.uk as well as on the Dyson YouTube channel and possibly elsewhere (eg Facebook, MN) - your name will not be used. You will be sent notes on filming.

If you'd like to take part please add your details here

Please note : if selected products will be sent out this week for delivery before Christmas - please only apply if you are around then for delivery and can also feedback. And for those not successful on becoming a tester, you will be emailed by MN details of a special Christmas treat from Dyson.

If you add feedback as required you will be able to keep the product.

Thanks MNHQ

PS if you don't get selected or aren't able to apply for this test, please keep an eye out for the feedback thread where you could win a Dyson product of your choice.

Oh please please me! I have a new house still battling with builders dust, guests gallor over Christmas and am panicking about how I'm going to keep the place presentable.

Have been drooling covetously whenever the advert comes on the telly!

Please pick me dear Mr Dyson
I'm already panicking about the tidying up that will be needed with a house full of guests, which includes two crawling babies, my very hairy golden labrador, children, toddlers, teenagers, grandmas and great aunts. We have a variety of floors, from original hard wood and persian rugs to limestone tiles and laminate!
We're here for the duration and will be hosting lots of lunches, suppers and general festivities near Kingston Surrey (not supplying my address here in case all you local MN'ers turn up for a glass or three..... Grin
Currently using a rather ancient pull around Miele but would be very happy to move on.... Keeping my fingers crossed

Me and our current vacuum are not on friendly terms right now due to it refusing to suck up either the cat's fur or my own hair (which seems to get everywhere). So some whizzy new technology to try would be lovely!

I would love to try this! I've lusted after a Dyson hoover for a while. I somehow managed to fill in the form and omitted to put in my DDs ages. Can this be edited please? They're 7 and 10. Thank you!

I have a basics Argos one that needs pulling apart and unblocking/.cleaning every time it's used but there is no way I can afford to replace it at the moment.

Also, about the video questions - It asks if you'd mind taking videos involving yourself, your kids or you pets using the dyson......can people really train your pets to use a vacuum cleaner? Because my cat won't even sort the recycling properly let alone hoover!

I have applied too.

Will be interesting to see if it copes with fil's messy mince pie eating. He missed his mouth on each second bite. Hmm...

Oh, and son keeps combing his recently grown afro. There are mini pube like hairs ALL over the house.

No pets, the DC are messy enough!!! never managed to fork out for a Dyson yet, would be great to see if they are worth the money.

delta ha ha .

Well, if you could train up your cat to do the vacuuming that would make for an excellent utube moment on its own :)
