We've been asked by Dyson to find 15 MNers who are willing and able to try out the new Dyson Digital Slim - DC44.

Dyson say "The Dyson Digital Slim(tm) is one of Dyson's newest inventions and is a lightweight cordless vacuum cleaner, engineered for nimble, high performance spot cleaning. From cobwebs in corners to quick skirting boards and stairs, it is balanced for floor to ceiling cordless cleaning.

Dyson's DC44 is also perfect for quick clean ups - so you'll be ready for any surprise visitors this festive period"

We're looking for MNers to try this who:
~ are around between now and Christmas eve to receive the product (and ideally have a house-full of guests)
~ are at home over Christmas break to try it out (it's ideal for whizzing round under the tree)
~ willing to add feedback - at least twice - to a thread on Mumsnet over the festive season - we'll be looking for you to add your responses to some questions and also to add further thoughts
~ willing to add a review here
~ are in the UK

Dyson would also like to set MNers some challenges with their DC44 - these will be sent to the selected testers and you'll be asked to add your feedback on how you got on with the challenges.

We're also looking for the testers to send in some video footage of the DC44 being used around the home - and completing the challenges. If you're happy to make a film for Dyson please tick the box on the application form. If you're selected you'll be asked to film yourself, your children and any pets in your home using the DC44. This shouldn't be too onerous. You'll then need to send in your footage to MN. Please note the videos will then be edited into a montage and will feature on dyson.co.uk as well as on the Dyson YouTube channel and possibly elsewhere (eg Facebook, MN) - your name will not be used. You will be sent notes on filming.

If I could have given a fourth reason, I would have mentioned the fact that my house has a second floor and we have 2 long runs of stairs which are a nightmare with a normal hoover as they are steep with narrow treads! I do hope I get one, my old Dyson has really had its day

No menagerie (just s labradoodle or 2, they said they didn't shed FFS) or falling down house here I'm afraid just lots of cream stairs which I have ended up using a dustpan and brush for due to my big dyson being heavy and my little dyson lasting 6 (yes 6) minutes, even DH lasts longer than that!

I would love to take part in this. We are around all over Christmas. I seem to have to Hoover all the time as I have a cat plus a baby who is nearly crawling so in the floor all the time (oh and a messy husband!). I have a mixture of both hard floors and carpet so would be good to find a Hoover which works well on both. At the moment I have a heavy Henry which doesn't seem to get up a lot of the muck properly and I worry what my baby is crawling around in. Would love to get the house looking lovely for our babies first Christmas!

I would love to try one of these as my old heavy vaccum is burning out and can't afford to replace right now and we certainly don't have Dyson money.

Also 7 months PG and struggling with SPD so this would bee ideal :)

We will have 4 adults, 2 teens, 3 6yo's and a dog for Christmas so a Hoover would he handy lol

Yes, our current Dyson is on its last legs but can't really afford to replace it at the moment so this would be a very practical but much appreciated Christmas pressie ;-)!

Of course the main reason for doing this surely is that Father Christmas will have made such a sooty mess coming down the chimney and leaving mince-pie crumbs all around the fireplace that someone will need to do a quick whizz round with the Dyson on Christmas morning just to return the house to its usual pristine (or not) state ....

I'm also happy to add a review here and make a video of us using the Dyson.

We have hard floors, carpets and stairs to vacuum clean and also need something to clean up cobwebs and lampshades.
