I did a load. Didn't do much for a coffee stain on a white tablecloth but it was a 40 degree was so I shall try again. Couldn't get much of a scent but I am all coldy.

I love the smallness and the claims to be INCROYABLE! though. V. much.

Yas1 · 01/12/2012 19:13

Just used this on my second wash. Question1) I liked the bottle and the different kind of dispensing. It doesn't make a mess. Wound have preferred the instructions in English though!
Question 2) I would like the instructions in English. Also a bigger bottle with more washes especially for the advertised price.
Question 3) I think it should have more fragrance even though I used fabric conditioner my wash was not as fragrant as my usual wash. My clothes were clean.
Question 4) I would probably tell people about the liquid if it came up in the conversation.

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Methon Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump?
LOVED the teeny tiny size. We often shop on foot, so a really concentrated product is great. Also we have a teeny tiny kitchen, so again something that needs less storage space is good.

Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid?
Price. I am a bit of an own brand/special offers only kind of gal. The cleaning power was absolutely fine, but no better or worse than the detergent I usually buy at less than half the price.

Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power?
The cleaning power was absolutely fine, but no better or worse than the detergent I usually buy at less than half the price. Fragrance was perfectly pleasant, and not overpowering. It didn't shift the chilli stain on dd1's white polo shirt at 40 degrees, but then my usual detergent doesn't always shift tomato-based stains either. We didn't pre-treat, but will try that next time and add to the thread if it shifts.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not?

Yes, for practicality, for those with limited storage space or shopping on foot. As long as they weren't skint though Wink.

blueberryboybait · 01/12/2012 19:35

Don'tbe - it's not polystyrene they are maize chips so fully compostable.

Dh has just come in and told me I have to buy Method again in future as it managed to clean the wonder of red grape juice, wotsit and pizza puke out of white sheets!

We and a small leakage with the box being bashed but the little left in the bottle has done 4 washes today and there may just be enough for another tomorrow if needs be.

SuePurblyFeltYourPresents · 01/12/2012 19:40

blueberry, I'd report your post and ask MNHQ for a replacement - I'm sure they'd pass it on to Method.

marksandy · 01/12/2012 19:43

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Methon Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump?

I think the product is great and would definitely recommend it. I was a bit sceptical on first impressions as I didn't think that such a tiny amount of liquid would clean a whole load of washing. I was pleasantly surprised. The laundry smelt really fresh and it tackled heavy staining ( I am weaning my baby and everything ends up smothered in puree). I love the dispenser and the overall size of the bottle. It certainly makes a change from the huge box of washing powder I usually have.

Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid? Probably the price as it is fairly expensive. It would have to be on offer for me to buy it.
Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power? I really liked the fragrance. It wasn't too strong and wasn't flowery like a lot of brands. Most of my laundry stains came out, only a couple of faint carrot stains remained.
Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not? Yes I would. It's very effective, a great size and good for the environment.

BuddhaBellyXmasBaubles · 01/12/2012 19:54

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Methon Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump?
Very sturdy bottle, good size, liked the style and was easy to use. Suprised the size containes 25 washes too.
Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid? Price
Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power? Love the fragrance really fresh and clean smelling, even worked on husbands white work shirts, we've also had the sickness bug in the household this week so its had a very sturdy test!
Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not? I would recommend this to a friend, especially as its kind to skin, and eco friendly, but I would mention that it is pricey

SuzysZoo · 01/12/2012 20:36

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Methon Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump?
I love the pump - it doesn't take up too much room in my small washing area and it was easy to use.
Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid? The smell could be a bit stronger.
Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power? I love the smell, but it could be a bit stronger for me. The cleaning power was fine when I used the right amount. The first time I used it I skimped a bit on the number of squirts and my washing still smelt of sweaty socks. But that was my fault and I can't blame the product. I washed the curtains and they smelled lovely when they came out of the machine and I hung them up to dry.
Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not? I'd say it was ok. It doesn't pass my ideal 10p per wash threshold, but not many do! I like the "natural" aspect and the "green" aspect of using concentrated. However, I do tend to buy whatever is on offer, so I am not stuck on one product.

themadBelgian · 01/12/2012 20:45

Soupdragon - no the liquid isn't coloured so it is really odd. Thinking maybe it reacted with something else? Not keen to try again though - or not on a white wash anyway. Adding stains kind of defeats the purpose of washing IYSWIM...

blueberryboybait · 01/12/2012 20:48

I have SuePerbly, they are on it and another is winging it to me as I type :)

RatherBeOnThePiste · 01/12/2012 21:08

Well I shouldn't be allowed to do these tests... I am rubbish.

First load, first squirt, missed the drawer entirely and it went all over the floor. Grin

JustFabulous · 01/12/2012 21:11

Squirty bit failing at times for me now.

cluelessnchaos · 01/12/2012 21:19

Really like it, I've done about 5 loads so far and today the first time I wore method washed clothes and I could really smell it. Bit strong in smell I've started using 3 pumps instead.

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Methon Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump? really liked it nice and compact and feels sturdy

Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid? Bit less strong smelling
Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power?I liked the smell but was a bit overpowering. Cleaning power seems fine
Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not? Yes I would, very convenient and effective

CMOTDibbler · 01/12/2012 21:23

I've just done 3 washes, and am genuinely impressed. DS's yellow jodphurs, which had a thick encrusting of mud, chocolate, ketchup. horse ointment earlier are now spotless. All the washing is nice and clean, and I like the smell - not too much perfume, but just enough. No gunk in the machine either - which we have a lot of issues with as I almost only do 30' washes, so I'll be interested to see how that goes.

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Methon Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump? Very good
Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid? No, but refill pouches would be good
Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power? Very happy
Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not? Yes if it came up.

Whojamaflip · 01/12/2012 21:30

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Methon Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump?
Really like the bottle shape and the size - I can fit it in the cupboard instead of having a huge box sitting on the side. Was a bit dubious about the tiny amount it said to use but it worked!

Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid?
Instructions in English would help! Also not sure if it was supposed to go in the drawer or in the drum?

Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power?
Nice fresh smell, didn't find it overpowering at all, just clean! And it managed to get my husbands filthy, stinking farming overalls clean first time, including most of the unidentified stains! Also brought the school polo shirts back to bright white again, inlcuding removing paint and glue.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not?
Absolutely would recommend - very impressed with its cleaning and the dinky packaging.

IMayBeSomeTime · 01/12/2012 21:44

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Methon Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump?

I liked the small bottle and the fact that it just needs squirting into the washing machine drawer.

Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid?

Make it cheaper? Possibly make the squirty top a bit easier to secure against small children

Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power?

Quite liked the smell although quite strong. Seems to clean well, even on the delicates cycle/30 degrees

Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not?

Yes: it works, it doesn't take up much space and it's very easy to dose. Would probably only buy when on special offer though.

androbbob · 01/12/2012 22:01

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Method Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump?

Loving the size of the bottle and the pump action as I usually spill powder on the floor. Not overly keen on the perfume - smelt a little chemically

Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid?

The price! I have tried several other Method products when on offer and would probably get this again if on offer. Hope they do re-fill packs though as bottle is wasteful if have to keep throwing away

Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power?

Not liking the 'fresh air' fragrance - too chemically. Cleaning power seemed good on bedding and school uniform. Will try on horse riding clothing tomorrow - they are usually messy!

Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not?

I would tell that I had tried it as a sample and liked it and would encourage those interested to try it. Eco cleaning products are good.

Ispywith · 01/12/2012 22:11

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Methon Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump?
Apart from the label being in French, nice sized tidy bottle with sturdy pump.

Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid?

Not sure how good the value to money is as not a large amount of washes for the price.

Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power?

Really liked the fragrance and it got all my washing clean - even got felt tip pen out of my daughters coat! Really pleased with the softness of the washing. I could definately tell the difference from my other washing powder.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not?

I would recommend this washing liquid to a friend because of the softness and cleaning ability. Not sure many would use it as most use whats ever on offer at the supermarket!

SantasBlotto · 01/12/2012 22:12

This stuff is bloody ace Xmas Grin But to answer your questions...

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Methon Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump?

I liked the small packaging, I liked the cheeky style of writing, I liked the easy action pump. Overall, it felt very young and fresh - not patronisingly "Green" if you know what I mean

Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid?

I'd like it in a bigger pack. I have a family of 5 and it won't last long. Bigger pack would also save packaging/cost.

Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power?

LOVED the smell - smelt just like laundry dried on the washing line. Lasted well too - at least 4 days on bedding. Also I didn't need/use softener. Cleaning power was as good if not better than my normal stuff. Very good on white towels done at 60*

Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not?

I already did - I texted my sister and told her about it. She loves the line-fresh smell and in winter it's not possible. It is now.

Thanks Method and MN Xmas Smile

Zhx3 · 01/12/2012 23:11

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Methon Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump?
I love how tiny it is - 300ml for 25 washes compared with 1.9L for my current pack (54 washes). It seems like a good sturdy pack, I hope there's a refill available. Always love Method's packaging shapes - they really stand out on the shelf.

Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid?
I wonder if there's a 50 wash pack? We must do at least 4 loads of laundry a week in my house! And I'm probably weird but I do prefer to put my laundry liquid into a cap and then put the cap into the drum. Sometimes I put the wash on delayed start and I'd rather the laundry liquid didn't soak into the clothes where it's been squirted for several hours before the water has been added. Not done so with the Method stuff but I've found with others that the laundry liquid stains the clothes where it's settled.

Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power?
I really liked the fragrance. It smelled a lot more subtle on my clothes than my usual non-bio and less synthetic. Re. cleaning power, it's no better or worse than my current laundry liquid. I tend to wash everything at 40, and it gets most stains out, but the more stubborn stains (carrot, ketchup, poo etc.) don't come out. Haven't tried at 60.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not?
I think I would, because it's so compact and yet has similar cleaning power. I like the sustainability aspect of it. I haven't used it for long enough to see if it has any effect on dc's eczema, but here's hoping.

Dontbesodramatic · 01/12/2012 23:34

Thanks Blueberry. Feel more positive towards Method nowGrin

Xavielli · 02/12/2012 00:01

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Methon Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump?

I like the small size and the ease of measuring the correct amount of liquid.

Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid?

Perhaps a variety of fragrances would be a good idea.

Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power?

Seems to get clothes as clean as my regular laundry soap. The fragrance, whilst not offensive, is not to my taste.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not?

Yes, simply for the bottle and ease to dispense.

EmpressOfTheNorthPole · 02/12/2012 00:01

JustFabulous, if you align the spout with the pink dot on the bottom it works better.

Lesbeadiva · 02/12/2012 00:10

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Methon Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump?

I thought it looked really good. Loved the small size as it takes up no space really.

Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid?

At the minute nope!

Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power?

I thought the smell was alright! Cleaning wise it does the job. Two young kids and a grubby (at times) dp. It really works well.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not?

I would. I would recommend it quote happily to a friend
